We had a wonderful stay at the Coachman with our two daughters. The staff were all super friendly. The food, coffee and drink options in the lobby were really convenient! So was the kitchen area where you can refill water and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The hotel is within walking distance to the casinos and the lake. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

I would say the staff and services were great, but the room itself was very poorly designed. The furniture and toilet felt low quality, the hair dryer was broken, and the door was difficult to open and close. Overall, the stay was disappointing in terms of the room condition. That said, considering the price I paid, I probably shouldn’t have expected too much.

Property and location are amazing. Rooms were okay, the walls in our room had peeling paint and the shower head didn’t work.

Staff and customer service were great. Super cute property. The downside was that the air conditioners were not working. We changed rooms 3 times and then the fridge was not working. I guess they are wine chillers not fridges which was disappointing since I brought a ton of perishable snacks. The hotel was accommodating and they upgraded us to the cottage with a fridge. Only downside was that the air did not work in that one either. We were so tired of moving rooms at that point that we just went a bought a fan and that worked well for us. The restaurant had good food and the atmosphere with the fire pits was really nice. I would also add the bikes are not available til after memorial day. Overall cute place but would be better if their air conditioners worked. While in the lobby I heard other customers complaining about the air as well so it seems to be an on going issue.

Although the stay was comfortable and nice, the blanket felt too light like a summer blanket, so it wasn’t very cozy. I was also disappointed that the jacuzzi wasn’t working, and I had specifically booked a larger room, but the ventilation fan on the exterior wall was so loud that I couldn’t sleep. However, the breakfast was really delicious, and the staff were friendly and pleasant.

Amazing, love the staff and hot tub, location was superb! The ONLY thing that left something to be desired was the fact that here was minimal places to store clothing in the room. Lots of space for suitcases and boards but no hangers and we needed wayyy more hooks for our jackets and ski gear so it wouldn’t end up on the floor after a slush day. Aside from that I would 1000% stay here again and I plan on it this summer.

yes , the room was spotless. But! There was some lighting issues with 1 small light next to the bed that might as well not be there or replaced with a brighter fixture. There was a bathroom door that brushed the front of the toilet to open or close. also, the strike plates for the light switches are black and should be white so u can see them in the dark. Also, the parking lot was not plowed and peep were trying to climb out and hitting other cars. Nightmare.

There is no Microwave, No telephone, No Table and chairs, Hair dryer did not work, the charging port next to bed is not working as well, not a safe place, fell on the stair as the hallways light on the stairs did not work, it’s all dark on the stairs, my husband went to grab a first aid box in the office but office is locked tried to called them from my cell phone and they did not answer the phone very poor service and very disappointing regarding the safety of the customer. I would be much appreciated if you can compensate this as I am vip member and didn’t appreciate this from what I paid for this stay.

The place I stayed was clean, but the room it was okay, no any tables and chairs, no closet, no microwave, the sink totally separate from the shower room, it's not convenient. Outside around the hotel it's dark, I feel unsafe to walk out. Anyway I like that hotel.

Cute property, our stay was in November during off season. We enjoyed the Malin And Goetz soaps and lotions in the room, the warm checkin area with coffee, drinks and food on the premises. Also the outdoor seating areas with fire pits. We stayed at this property since it had a spa, we both got massages, the masseuse was wonderful!

Good stay. The light from the ac unit wouldn’t turn off at night and shines into the rest of the room. Kept me up all night but I know not everyone is bothered by that. Beds were decently comfortable but that’s subjective.

Bear beware. The main issue we had with this property was the lack of consideration of guest safety with wildlife. In a well-known area with bears, this property has multiple open trash cans surrounding guest rooms. This led myself and other guests (including young children) to come within feet of a 8+ foot brown bear rummaging through the open trash cans after coming down the stairs from our room.
Of course, you can’t blame a property for wildlife, but this is pure negligence and placing guests in danger.
Otherwise, the property is in a great location and the amenities are a nice touch with smores, bikes, etc.
Would not recommend staying here until the necessary safety changes have been made.

This room/experience left a lot to be desired, but I’ll start with the good: great location-easy walking distance to Heavenly shops and restaurants, clean rooms and some nice on site amenities like fire pits, pool and hot tub. That said, the rate was high for what the room offered and for the very communal experience that the footprint forced. The room, while clean, was bare and lacked any sort of warmth or coziness at all. It felt more like staying in a basement with only the necessities than a king-size hotel room. I was also lucky enough to stay during a hockey tournament where tons of families and young boys were lodging at the same time. That wouldn’t be a big deal if it weren’t for the open, communal space that so many of the rooms open up to. So we constantly endured other guests being loud and inconsiderate which may not seem like the hotel’s fault, but they made no effort to ask the group to lower their volume given not all guests were in their party. If the hotel is going to be set up more like a motel with guest doors opening directly to the outside and to the reception spaces, then I would expect them to intervene more when 11-year old boys (and their absentee parents) are screaming for three hours straight.
Bottom line, I felt the rate was too high for the experience. This place looks like a curated boutique hotel from the pictures but lives more like a motel.

My favorite place we’ve stayed so far! We will definitely be back! When you check in they offer you beer/mimosas and they offer amazing recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They genuinely care that you have the best trip possible. It’s very clean and cute. They offer food as well and there are complementary s’mores at night by the fire pit! There is so much in walking distance. 10/10 Cannot recommend enough!

In a few words, they treated me like royalty. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had a small problem with my room, which they solved by upgrading me to a suite. It was simply amazing.
The bar is very nice, and they make a great espresso.
This trip was a solo vacation focused on photography. Next time I come to South Lake Tahoe with my family we will stay here again. I highly recommend the Coachman.

The property grounds and rooms are a lot nicer in the pictures. The buildings are really run down and supposedly the rooms were remodeled. Staff was really nice, but don’t expect them to fix anything right. The best things about this place were the heated toilet seats and the humongous bear that walks through the parking lot.
