Beautiful Victorian style house located in a lovely neighborhood in Stirling. 10 minute walk to the shops and sights including Stirling Castle, Church of the Holy Rude, and the Old Town Jail. There is a small parking lot behind the property and ample on-street parking (pay and display). Friendly, helpful staff. Walls in the room and bathroom could benefit from a little cleaning and freshening up, however. The shower in our room was very small. Overall, I would stay again, perhaps in a room with a larger shower.

Restaurant not open on either night of my stay, had to find somewhere in town, got soaked returning to hotel on one occasion. Served a moldy piece of toast a breakfast, it was horrific. It was virtually all over the bread, so how someone could not see it was beyond me. The lady serving apologised but it was disgusting.

The property is nice but the breakfast is really disappointing but edible. The property has a restaurant on property called The Orangery which is advertised as a premier Fine dining restaurant and serves lunch and dinner. Unfortunately the breakfast apparently is not a part of the fine dining experience. otherwise it’s a lovely place in a good location with a great staff!

Owner is very attentive. I arrived early and was welcome and showed to my room. It is very conveniently located to Stirling castle,downtown, shopping and dining. They have an excellent restaurant, unfortunately was closed during my stay. I was traveling by myself and I feel very safe during my stay. Breakfast had an excellent variety. I ordered the Scottish breakfast,was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this cute B&B.

There was not a proper check in here. The owner had the kitchen staff checking people in. We asked for a ground floor and they put us in the basement, Carpet was dirty and room smelled very musty and like wet dog. Very disappointed.

Our stay here could not have been any better. From the moment we arrived till the time we left. The house is beautiful, very clean, breakfast was great, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Parking in the back and easy walking to the castle and town with many wonderful pubs and restaurants. We did not eat dinner there only because we like to go to the local pubs and get the flavor of the town. I would highly recommend this property.

I had a brief but very lovely stay at Victoria Square. The hostess was exceptionally warm from the moment I checked in, and was the highlight of my trip. My room was small but very comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, which I liked. My only gripe is that the shower in my bathroom was very small. Breakfast was really nice too; I especially enjoyed the pancakes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Our stay was truly wonderful. A bright and cheery check in, a large room with a great view, and surprising amount of sunshine. Good facilities in the room, comfortable bed and strong shower.

A beautiful property, well decorated and homey feeling. They had a beautiful lounge and dining room, the room was large with high ceilings. Comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, a small fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee in room. We were able to take advantage of free parking in the back and they were kind enough to give us a complimentary early check in. All the staff were gracious and friendly. There is a restaurant on site that looks lovely but we didn’t have the opportunity to try (but I did see their afternoon tea platter and it looked amazing!). It is a short walk to castle and to other shops and amenities. We would stay again next time we’re in Stirling.

Bijou Hôtel with culinary delights
Everything about this stay delighted us. A grand Victorian House with views of the castle. Tastefully decorated throughout. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming with excellent attention to the restrictions imposed by these covid times. Even though the restaurant was not open to guests (it being a Wednesday evening) we were offered the entire new menu to choose a meal from and we couldn’t resist taking on 3 courses which were truly fine dining! Exceptional!

Excellent location, within a short walk into the city centre, quiet area away from the main road into Stirling. Covid measures in place were good, hand sanitiser was readily available. On arrival informed we had a free upgrade to the larger four poster bedroom. The room was exceeding spacious, comfortable and very clean; the room was well stocked with complimentary drinks, biscuits and chocolate and toiletries; the bed was very comfortable which set us up for a long drive the following day.
Breakfast was pre-ordered the night before and was freshly cooked in the morning was hearty and plentiful, highly recommend the salmon and scrambled eggs on muffin.
We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely warm welcome and shown to a beautifully clean and comfortably appointed room overlooking the castle which we walked to and explored. The hotel is situated in a very quiet wide street with hardly any traffic and has a small car park at the rear. The bed was very comfy and we were given a mini glass bottle of fresh milk for our tea which was so much nicer than fiddling with 'plastic' milk. Breakfast the next day was socially distanced and tasty. We had a really great stay and would definitely return :)

What a find ! We will definitely stay here again on any return visits to Stirling. Such a lovely room, overlooking the park across the street. The home is elegant yet the environment is relaxed. The staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was the best I had during our two week visit to the UK. I had the Eggs Benedict with Vegetarian Haggis and it was amazing. I requested that my eggs be scrambled instead of poached and that was no issue at all in that it did not detract from the dish and the presentation was beautiful.

We were greeted very warmly and professionally on arrival and after a quick check in process we were shown to our room. The room was beautifully furnished and had a lovely suburbian view with the a park directly across the road. The room was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was close enough for a short walk into the city but far enough away to be tucked away in a quite and peaceful area. Plenty of parking out on the street. In the morning we enjoyed a very well prepared breakfast in lovely surroundings. If your staying in Stirling i would certainly recommend Victoria Square, we would certainly stay here again.

Not what I expected
There are a very strong odor in our room that was immediately dismissed by the hostess as coming from the \"wood furniture\". The smell was that of smoke and was in the curtains. The next day the owner responded first by saying there was no smell in the room than by saying stating that someone had been burning something outside. Whatever the reason, my stay was miserable.

beautiful guesthouse!.. friendly welcome... only thing i would say was breakfast wasnt been served until 7:45 onwards which was disappointing as looking forward to a fryup and I had to leave before then. However staff were very accomodating providing cereal, yougurt, fruit & coffee in our rooms to have earlier in the morning. I would definately stay again.. even just to see the beautiful decor in the other rooms.

Very friendly atmosphere in the Guest House
Located in a very quiet neighbourhood, it still is close to the main street of the city (less than 10 minutes) and to the Castle (less than 15 minutes). We had dinner there and found it very delicious and tasty. The dining hall commands a good view of the Victoria Square and we enjoyed watching local children playing there. The ground floor room we stayed in was spacious and the bathroom has a bathtub and shower area separately. The staff there were all very friendly.

Staff and owner were closely attentive to guests at all times so that there was a feeling of welcome and “home” comfort. Breakfast, lunch, dinner from the on-property kitchen was amazing. Location was 10 minute walk to Sterling Castle and other historic areas; 8-9 minute walk to central city shopping and restaurants. Victoria Square Guest House is in a very quite neighborhood making its location even more ideal.

Fantastic stay in Stirling, staff very friendly and helpful, unfortunately hotels.com not clear what is included on their website, I searched accommodation with breakfast included and that was what I thought I had booked - it said on hotels.com breakfast included, but when we got to the B+B the booking was room only. The manager could see how disappointed we were and gave us breakfast - really fabulous breakfast, but I feel hotels.com should be clearer in what you are booking, it would make me wary to book a short break through hotels.com again. I can't however fault anything at all with the B+B, there is nothing they could do to improve their accommodation or service it is 5* all the way

Victoria Square Guest House was fantastic across the board. The hotel is just outside the city center in a very nice, quiet neighborhood on the edge of a park. The room was clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The service was excellent and they were kind enough to let me leave my bags for a few hours after checkout while I explored a bit more. Overall a great value.

The only suggestion I have for the Guest house is make patrons aware of last possible time to arrive for check in but not to ask for an expected time of arrival. Our particular situation was getting delayed through GPS guided driving and then not having a way to contact the Guest house and feeling pressure as though missing an appointment time.

We stayed two nights at Victoria Square and were treated very well. The Guest House is in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of old town and the castle. You can even walk through wooded paths to the castle. The rooms are very well appointed although it was quiet warm when we were there. Very nice staff. The shower was one of the larger ones by Scottish standards. Comfy bed. The garden rooms are slightly below street level so not much of a very but good light.

This was our second stay at this property and we can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great bed and breakfast experience in Sterling. The residential neighborhood is very quiet yet within minutes of walking one is in Sterling.
Their breakfast choices are plenty and the hot breakfasts are delicious. Easy to park and get to from the main traffic arteries.

We only stayed one night, but enjoyed every minute. It is a short walk to Stirling Castle and several fine restaurants. The staff went far out of their way to be helpful. We would love to return for a longer stay.

Loved our stay here. It's a gorgeous space. The guest lounge and rooms are so elegant! The owner is a delight, full of suggestions and conversation. Breakfast was limited but lovely. You need to take a bit of a hike to get to restaurants and pubs if you don't have a car, but still doable. Stirling is a beautiful town and the neighborhood where the guest house is located is very quiet, peaceful and pretty. Our room had a charming view of the area.
Only downsides were that the shower was tiny and claustrophobic and the wifi in the room was bad enough that we went down to the lounge when we needed to get online.
