Parking was easy, room spacious with large bathroom but no shower mat and the pressure of water from the shower head rendered it completely useless for showering. Some fixtures in bathroom handing off and staining on the carpet made it look tatty.
Easy to find and only a minute from the motorway junction, so very handy in that respect.

It’s been a few years since I last stayed at Grange Manor, and overall it was a really enjoyable return visit. I asked for a room in the Garden Suite and was pleased to get one. The rooms there are a noticeable step up in quality and made the stay feel that bit more special.

The only issue was that the hot water wasn’t working in the morning, which was frustrating. That said, the duty manager handled it positively and professionally, apologised, and promised a discount on my next stay, which I appreciated.

The staff throughout were genuinely helpful and welcoming, and Cook’s Restaurant was a great choice for my evening meal. I’d happily return, especially for the Garden Suite rooms.

When ordering I told them we were disabled, but when we arrived we were given a room on the first floor. After having to walk outside and along the side of the building to get to our room, we then found the lift was out of order and no way could we manage the stairs. When I asked what if it's raining the guy said \"you get wet\". They did change our room to downstairs. However you had to cross two car parks to get to the restaurant, so we drove there. If you walked \"you got wet\". Now breakfast was a different kettle of fish. This was very good and was actually in the hotel and you didn't get wet. To put it mildly. We will not be going back to this hotel.

Stayed overnight for a wedding reception celebration and it was perfect.

Ample parking spaces, great signage to reception. Warm welcome and informative overview of WiFi, amenities and where my room was.

My room was so lovely, great view with nobody behind me and had all I needed The Elemis toiletries were gorgeous, the shower (albeit slow) was super toasty, plush towels, and the robe/slippers just finished it off.

It was so quiet, as had lots of doors before getting to my room, and I felt safe given I was on my own.

Check in and out times are really good, no rush and plenty food/drink options on site.

Very reasonable price for the accommodation. Room clean. Hotel staff were nice and the service from the two waitresses in Cooks restaurant was great.
A bit noisy on the Saturday evening as our room was very near the wedding venue therefore difficult to sleep. Another seemed planned for the Sunday so would have been two nights in a row had we not been checking out. If returning we would ask for a room on the opposite corridor. Overall a nice stay

After a nice check in at the lovely reception area things went downhill.
Opened door into room and strong Smokey smell . The room itself wasn’t the cleanest however the bathroom was ok cleanliness wise. Sadly toilet required flushing action several times to actually flush and shower head permanently dripped water .

This hotel does not warrant a 4 star rating. The Garden Wing's lift was out of order for the complete 5 days of our stay. Not good, when one has difficulty using stairs.
There was no mention made on booking, or on our arrival that our accommodation would be external to the main hotel building and that one would have to walk outside the hotel when going to the breakfast room. On several days this was in the rain. The room provided does not have sufficient light when trying to read whilst on and in bed (this is a common fault with most hotels). The cooked breakfast ordered was often served before one had finished eating ones cereals, therefore becoming cool. Traffic noise from the adjacent motorway (M9) could have been mitigated by the use of triple glazed windows.

The photos don't do the hotel justice. It's really beautiful. It's not a new hotel, but it's well-maintained and spotless. I'm from the Caribbean, and I'm used to having air conditioning or fans. They didn't have air conditioning, but they gave me a fan because I couldn't sleep. That impressed me. I went with my baby, and they had a crib for her in the room. I'm very happy, and I highly recommend it. It's in a great spot for public transportation.

Very close to the motorway which was great - easy to find and plenty of room to park. We had been given a garden room ( although our view was another building) and the room could only be accessed by going outside the main hotel.The room was quite spacious as was the bathroom but the bed was a just a normal size double and quite small. There was a smell of stale cigarettes outside the entrance and later that evening there were people stood outside smoking which meant the smell came right up and through the window - we discovered later that there was a stand ashtray at the entrance for smokers, directly under our first floor window but this should have been away from the bedrooms because it was not very pleasant! Our dinner was at the Cooks Restaurant and the service was great, the food freshly cooked and hot and we enjoyed our meal. Breakfast the next day - once again great service, friendly and helpful staff - dining room was lovely and in the main building. Overall a good stay, but the stale cigarette smoke would really put me off from staying again.

Very impressive property and room was a good size. However, there were no sockets close to the bed apart from the very old 5A round pin ones for the bedside lamps, one of which could only be switched off by unplugging it. The bed was very uncomfortable, the bathroom extractor made a racket for several minutes after being switched off, and the shower was feeble. Not a great stay.

Our room was in a separate building to the main building which didn't appear to have a secure entry to it. The corridor had things left lying around next to the stairs like bedding etc. our room was tired with rusting on the bathroom mirror, marks on the bath enamel and the carpet in the room was threadbare in places. There was also a musty old smell in the room.

The hotel was lovely very comfortable beds the TV needed updating very basic channels and no way of connecting a device to it to stream. The staff who greeted us on arrival were lovely ahd welcoming. The receptionist who checked us out on Monday morning, not so much. She didn't bother ask how our stay was or if everything was okay. Pretty much a fundamental part of the checkout process! Overall it is a nice hotel just needs a little bit of tlc and some investment and it could be amazing.

Had dinner in the adjacent restaurant Cooks was lovely and the waitress was really friendly.
Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked which makes such a difference as I’m not a fan of a buffet breakfast.

Rooms dated and tired the mattress was uncomfortable. I found my bathroom dirty and not cleaned hair in bath and a used bar of soap. Window cracked so a cold draft in room.
The bar area is nice and a good choice of drinks and the restaurant excellent.

Able to walk at night to the Kelpies was the reason to stay at the Grange Manor. We liked the ease of moving around on the property. The dining options are okay but not sure why you need reservations when noone is there at Cook's. The room was good but the towel warmer did not come on. Friendly greeting and help when we checked in was our highlight and taxi arrangement much appreciated.

Disappointing visit

Not a great experience. Room was spacious, but above the entrance to the separate block of rooms and there was a wedding on. It was noisy and guests were loud when returning after midnight. This is personal opinion I accept. The bed was comfy, however felt small and a double or small double in size. The shower did initially provide hot water, but went freezing after lathering up and hot water never returned for me or my partner after me. Hot water was available for the bath, so no issues with that. Told reception and no apology or offer to compensate, just ‘I’ll let maintenance know’. All in all, disappointing and dated room with a small bed.

The rooms are tired and bathrooms appear clean at a glance but need a deep clean. Shower head and body lotion contraption were filthy. A spider had moved in and its Webb in the corner was huge, I found it in the sink having a drink ! The ironing board had burn marks as did the accompanying iron, so it couldn’t be used for fear of damaging your clothes.
Cooks diner next door, have good food but sadly the staff member i spoke with was rude and unwelcoming so I went elsewhere for dinner and won’t be returning. I’ve stayed a couple of times just for ease but as a paying customer would expect a little better.

This was our second stay at this hotel and overall I'd rate our stay as good. Rooms are spacious, comfortably furnished, bright and warm. But I did find the bed rather small and short and I'm surprised that for such a large room, it did not have a kingsize bed. Also although there was a tray with glasses provided on a table for our entire 3 night stay, there was no bottled provided at all? Rooms were cleaned daily and towels were regularly changed. The restaurant was reasonably priced. With food of a high standard, but drinks both in the restaurant and the hotel bar were rather pricey. Overall we were happy with our stay as the location of the hotel site was good and central to our needs for this trip to Scotland. I would use this hotel again and would recommend it to others.
