Nous avons passé une nuit à cet hôtel. Le personnel est très accueillant et serviable. La chambre était propre et bien équipée avec un bai tourbillon. Par contre, toutes les chambres ne sont pas pareilles. Nous avions une chambre avec du tapis au départ et on a demandé à être changé pour une chambre avec un.pkancher de bois . Certaines chambres semblent avoir été rénovées et d'autres non. Nous avons apprécié aller au spa situé derrière l'hôtel. Le site est tout de même petit, mais il y a un sauna sec, une chute d'eau froide, une salle de repos etv4 spas, ce qui est très bien.

Last year when we stayed at Hotel Montfort we gave a higher rating. We had a room in the newer area. This time we had a room in the old part of the hotel. The room was okay at best. Clean and comfortable beds. But the carpet was old and stained. The bathroom was updated but so small that when you sat on the toilet the toilet tissue was knocked of the holder. The shower was in a small deep bathtub. The temperature controls did not work and the room was quite hot. Lovely common areas. I recommend staying here if you can get a room in the newer section.

Nice looking hotel from the outside and a lovely setting. However inside it is a bit dated and could do with some maintenance to bring it back to grandeur. Corridors felt dark and gloomy and it was quite a maze to find reception and room.

We loved this hotel and property! Lovely, clean and spacious. Our room was comfortable and quiet and my family loved the pool. I did like that there was a restaurant on site but we got stuck in traffic and missed the restaurant's dining hours for dinner; the only option was a sandwiches from a grocery store in the small town nearby. Breakfast was also an additional charge - so we opted to stop on our way out of town. It was a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay again, but for a spa weekend, not a family trip. Recommended!

We loved our stay here! SO many things to do just within the hotel! The spa is super relaxing as well as the rooftop jacuzzi- Our favourite part! Nous avons découvert un bel établissement dans un environnement enchanteur. Chambre spacieuse et bien aménagée. Jardin et sentier pédestre pour profiter de la nature. Seul bémol, plusieurs visiteurs ne respectent pas la consigne non-fumeur sur les terrasses et balcons des chambres. L'hôtel devrait être plus sévère à cet égard car nous n'avons pu profiter pleinement de notre terrasse pour cette raison. Message aux fumeurs : SVP faire preuve de respect !

Also disappointed that the description said spa was included and then we were told when we got there it was an extra charge. The restaurant was nice and staff great. My favorite little gem on our travels between Nova Scotia and Ontario. Excellent for a night on any cross country road trip. Get here early enough to take advantage of the spa pools/rough top hot tub etc. Garden view room recommended. So peaceful. Onsight spa is great. Perfect for a night for rest.

Everything was perfect but there’s absolutely no nightlife in the area close by or restaurants that are open late (dates/hangouts/late food) so you have to drive out. I suggest a little research ;)

Nice and clean room. Comfortable bed. Our room overlooked the parking lot only because we booked rather last minute and the garden view rooms were not available. We highly recommend you choose a garden view as the garden is beautiful. The pool area is very lovely and relaxing. More for adults than children. Quite a romantic setting. The garden has a large fire pit to enjoy in the evening.

The one dislike was the view from the only window on the ground floor: looking over into what appeared to be a storage facility. I suppose this is okay for a one-night stay, but a bit depressing. The other problem is that the hotel provides only coffee in the rooms: why not tea for tea drinkers who rarely drink coffee?

As my partner was part of an annual cultural event in the area, we chose to stay at Hotel Montfort for it's upscale \"spa retreat and relaxation\" theme. Let me tell you our stay was far from relaxing.
We booked a few weeks ago and unfortunately, the whole hotel as been booked by multiple sports teams for the same entire week-end. Our room, on 4th floor, was near a meeting room or venue and kids (left unsupervised) were running wild and free in the hallway from early PM to 10 PM and it went on in the morning. They were messing around the vending machines, playing with the escalator, playing catch, fooling around, as the adults were nowhere to be found. We complained a first time, then a second time as nothing changed by a few hours. We understood nothing would be done when we heard the parents talk as lourd as the kids and claiming the place was theirs since they were 80 people together.
Frankly, we don't understand why the hotel never changed us room or booked us on another level in the first place. We asked to be changed room twice, we got the response the hotel was full. Putting our 6 yo daughter to sleep was almost impossible at a decent hour and the chaos in the hallway waked us in the morning. The pool area was a mess passed 3PM (kids jumping in the spa pool, water everywhere, parents drinking cans like it's an all-inclusive resort) and to add up, the air conditioning unit of our room was broken. It was the last straw to make our stay frustrating and unpleasant.

I like the history of the building. I like the facilities but since the change of management, it has become more complicated to use the spa area for us who are guests of the hotel. It's not so easily accessible as before. And there are less sauna cabins (only 1 left).
