The staff is wonderful.
The rooms are clean, but they are small. The bedding is subpar and the entire hotel is very loud. You can hear everything in the hallway and all of the rooms facing sit above the loading dock for the building next door. The windows are single pane and old so we heard people yelling and loading the dock next door until 3AM.
They have a large ashtray right outside the lobby entrance so you have to deal with smokers in your face every time you enter and leave as well.

This hotel has a lot going for it in terms of location, close to the bus stop, Politeama, from the airport, walk to old city, and lots of restaurants. The staff are very nice and helpful, and it is very clean. Our room had a great view over the city to the west. It has both an elevator and a beautiful spiral staircase with wrought-iron railings. But for the price, the hotel needs to do better with the decor. The furniture in the lobby is worn and cheap looking. And our room felt austere and institutional. Warmer lighting, and wall color other than blue would be a good start.

A string of disappointments.
Overall, the stay was very disappointing. The thing we looked forward to the most after a long day in hot weather was some decent air conditioning; this hotel failed miserably. Three hours after checking in, the room was still unbearably hot. We called the front desk, who sent someone up (who started perspiring within minutes of walking into the room), and they were unable to do anything other than apologize; no other rooms with a working AC were made available. This in itself made getting any rest impossible. To make matters worse, the WiFi was terribly slow and the outside noise was a constant annoyance. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, but that aside, it’s a disaster zone which should be avoided at all costs.

The hotel needs to be updated. Very old bathrooms and super noisy air conditioner in bedroom kept us awake most of the night. Enterance to reception is in basement so very difficult to access if you have mobility issues. Would not recommend going there until they update the place.

Restaurant nearby had very loud music till 1 AM. Was jet lagged so couldn’t get the sleep I was craving. Poor lighting in the hallway and very difficult to open the door to the room. The decor could sure use a brighter look. Very basic accommodation.

Well-located hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast included a variety of foods and it was delicious. The only problem for us was the poor-quality of the air-conditioning unit. The front desk kept telling us it was working, but the room remained very hot. It was a bit difficult to fall asleep because of how hot it was. At the end, we requested a fan and that helped a lot.

On the morning of our arrival we rec’d an email informing us that our reservation had been moved to a different hotel due to construction. We were assured that the new hotel was of equal quality and location. When we arrived we were given a terrible room in a horrible location. The staff were not helpful. We spoke with hotel girardi and the front desk said that we were moved due to a large group. There was nothing they could do. We expect that our room charges will be fully refunded as this experience ruined our stay in Palermo.

Hotel is in an excellent location 4 mins from the airport shuttle bus drop off. Lots of resturamts in the area. City bus hop on hop off tour 3 min walk. Lots to see and do in the area. Staff at the hotel are friendly and understand some english. The hotel is clean. On the negative side the hotel rooms 304 is old and could do with an upgrade.

The hairdryer blew out black fragments when you used it. There were no blankets in the room and one pillow on the bed per person. One bar of soap, 3 hangars and very sparse dingy room.

The location is good, closed to the Massimo Theater yet outside of the ZTL zone. The airport shuttle dropped us off at the Porto stop and we walked about 10 minutes. The room is spacious, however we found some mold in the bathroom. The front desk told us the check out time was 12pm, but I think the housekeeper was ready to kick us out around 8:30am.

Hotel is very central , clean, friendly staff!! We enjoyed our 3 night stay, we where travelling with the car and it have a safe parking for a charge of €13 per day . Its also pet friendly. The only issue we had is to find hotel as road next to Garabaldi is close for road works!! But its not the hotel fault either but it would be good if there will be some signs to indicate where is the hotel as its reception is not on a street level!!

Hotel has a run down feel about it and is in need of updating. Not a 4* hotel in my opinion. Hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Air con was so noisy we had to turn it off at night so room got very warm. Hotel also on a busy street with a lot of noise at night, we were woken by the bin lorry outside at 6am. Our room was also right by the lifts which were noisy with people coming and going. Maid walked into our room without knocking on our first morning and was trying to rush us out so she could clean. Breakfast was included, perfectly fine but basic and would expect more from a 4* hotel. Location good - easy to walk to all main attractions.

Average hotel, not a 4 star as rated. Service is mediocre at best. Be aware to check the box for 2 inhabitants in the room as you will get charged extra for an additional person. Room is large but not well furnished. Air conditioning needs upgrade in this hotel. It is pretty convenient to shopping and the market. Otherwise, I believe there are better hotels with better amenities.

Palermo is a city full of interesting places to visit and architecture to admire. We had a great 4 day break, which was further enhanced by friendly, kind and helpful staff at the hotel. Not only did the hotel score highly on all the above criteria, it was in a perfect position for sightseeing being central for all sights to see. As I cannot walk great distances due to arthritis this was huge bonus.

The hotel is in great location - next to Teatro Politeama and 1km to piazza Pretoria. There is many shops and restaurants in the area.
The room is very clean and spacious, nice decorated. The breakfast is good for me, because I like cakes and croissants. The bus \"Prestia e Comande\" from the airport stops 80m from the hotel.

We stayed for one night. The hotel is within a walk distance from many of the city attractions. Fair rates (70 Euro in December 12th) very good hospitality from a young beautiful women that spoke very good English. Free parking. Very convenient rooms. Breakfast was a bit lean.

Unhappy experience in Palermo.
Buyer beware. We booked and prepaid two rooms. Upon arrival they told us there were no rooms because a family had been hospitalized and hadn’t vacated. They said our only option was a similar hotel only 200 meters away. Someone walked us to the hotel and dropped us before we had seen the room. The replacement hotel was in a very different neighborhood, near the port and over 400 meters away. Ultimate bait and switch. If this happens to you, immediately call Hotels customer service. We called upon arrival at the second hotel and the Garibaldi staff stated we had agreed to the move. In fact, we were given no option.
