Good value for money and great breakfast

Very good breakfast selection, lovely hotel staff and close to public transport to get into the city of Versailles. Good value for money and for what’s provided - very very happy with our stay.

Excellent all round. Clean and tidy with a decent small pool. Rooms a bit tight but fine for an overnight if visiting nearby Versailles. Food is the restaurant is good but menu could do with a bit more choice.

Stayed in room 4. Ground floor near to reception. Walls are paper thin. Could hear upstairs shower. And people holding a function just outside the room by the pool. Half past five in the morning and people are arriving at reception and you can hear everything. Doors banging and conversations. Then someone outside at the pool moving tables around. Staff have discount of breakfast. Wasn’t the Best hotel for us. Probably the Worst. Which is a shame as we’ve used their hotels before…..

The heating in our room didn't work , the shower had mould in the corner. We were moved to another room and that too had no adequate heating. Went away with cold and flu.Bathroom need a proper clean. Not happy.

Staff exceptionally helpful, couldn’t have been more helpful. Needed bike storage during stay and hotel offered use of a locked office for bikes. Menu in restaurant limited but tasty. Had family room which is two linked separate rooms, very useful with two teenagers to have space.

Nice hotel, awful air conditioning always broken, our room was 25c. Need to be fixed urgently. Breakfast was good but same everyday. No lunch in the restaurant and only dinner Monday to Thursday. No other are restaurants close by…

This hotel lacks guest services as there are no restaurants nearby. As an example, the restaurant was closed on the weekend with no advance notice. For the breakfast meal, they served rotten fruit and nuts.

Our room appeared to be renovated recently and was very well appointed. It was very comfortable. The hostess/clerk we dealt with was fantastic. Very very nice person. Helped us with booking additional travel arrangements. She went above and beyond what was expected.

The hotel was up to the normal standards of the Best Western Group. However, due to a wedding in the hotel we were denied access to the bar and the restaurant from mid-day on the Saturday. There were few options available locally and we ended up having to eat in a Macdonalds! Not happy! We explained this to the staff who were sympathetic and promised to ask the manager for a discount, which has never appeared!

Nice quiet village style feel outside of Versaille with limited but decent restaurant choices walking distance and in the hotel . Buffet breakfast good though is Euro 15. Friendly and helpful staff . Rooms a little small.

20 years since I last visited Versailles and the palace visit was packed with tourists to the point it is now difficult to move around and was not enjoyable

A great find and very helpful staff. As a family it was well placed and the swimming pool a real bonus. A good breakfast selection. A few restaurants and shops are within walking distance, the railway station at Saint Quentin is a short bus ride away!

Could maybe benefit from a fridge in the rooms, however ice was always available from the fantastic staff.

Nice hotel with pool close to Versailles

Kids loved the pool. Sadly the restaurant was closed for the public holiday but the bar was friendly and reasonably priced (for a hotel). Ample free parking. A short drive (or cycle without young kids) to Versailles.

Just a stopover on a long journey South, but the hotel was clean and comfortable with decent facilities and free parking. The guy on reception was very helpful. With my limited French and his limited English we had some fun working a few things out but it was all in good spirit. Local area includes a nice little park/woodland area and the town is quiet and quite pretty in parts. 15 mins to the Palace too. Overall a fair price for a decent stopover.

Nice safe area, with free car parking was nice. A 10-15 minute drive to Versailles was why we chose this hotel. The staff was nice, spoke English, and professional. The only bad part was we couldn't figure out the room's AC, and called down to the desk and was seemingly forgotten. It wasn't a huge deal in early may, but we imagine it might be later on during the summer.

We arrived at 2pm so the restaurant had just closed. Room notes stated that there was a kiosk/dispensing machine for the purchase of snacks etc. There wasn't.
Dinner was very average at the cost 28 Euros. The cooked items at breakfast were of poor quality despite costing 15 Euros.
The desk advertised the availability of advance tickets for entry to Versailles (our reason for choosing The Wish) but there were none.
Apart from a charming maitre d'hotel in the restaurant, our experience was merely adequate.

Lovel hotel, very small room.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and good food. The pool area was lovely as was the terrace. The only issue was that the room we had was absolutely tiny and was very hot. I believe that they are in the process of installing air conditioning which should be ready soon. They lent us a fan which was great but I would only visit again at this time of year if the air conditioning was working.

Nice clean hotel, awesome staff

Stayed here before and after my PBP 2015 ride. Rooms are bigger than many I've experienced - not huge, but more than enough space. Also very clean and well looked maintained.

What really made my stay was the staff though - they were superb. They had an entire room kitted out for us cyclists, and were always on hand to help wherever needed. The swimming pool was a big bonus on the final hot days of our stay to cool down and ease the aches of sore muscles.

Food was ample and tasty, not gourmet but more than adequate and plenty to fill up with.

Great experience - would definitely stay again.

The place was very cozy to stay in. As an American, we grow accustomed to super sizing everything. So at first, it came to my shock that the rooms were the size of small bedroom, with a closet size of a bathroom. But being by myself, it became quiet comfortable within that same day. The beds themselves were comfortable. However, in the middle of August, the place did not have air conditioning. Which was kind of sad moment for hot it was outside. Non the less, the place has its charms and the staff is very kind and helping. The staff was very kind to try to speak English and cares about their customers. All in all its not a bad hotel and the people there make it better to stay!

Lovely hotel near Versailles

Good, quiet hotel near Versailles. Very comfortable, clean and modern, with a relaxing garden/patio area outside and a small pool. A nice spot to spend a couple of relaxing hours in the evening with a drink and a meal. Easy access to main road into Versailles. Pretty, quiet village area with a great patisserie, bar and restaurants ten minutes walk away. Nice place to spend a few days sight-seeing.

Not recommended for business.

Would not recommend as a business hotel especially if you have to work in your room. The desk is just a counter with a bar stool type chair. Rooms are small. There is no air conditioning or screens on the window which is common in Europe. My room was facing the front right above the outside patio and where folks liked to smoke. So I had to deal with smoke and bugs flying in. Breakfast was charged to my room even though I did not partake any it took folks 30 min to reverse charges. Service not good as most employees did not speak English. Recommend as just a passing thru hotel.

A good overnight stop :)

A lovely hotel for a one night stay. Quiet, clean, well presented, bathroom was great. Staff on arrival very friendly and helpful and hotel is located very close to Versailles which we wanted to visit. Hotel restaurant is not open on Saturdays, but there are food venues in nearby town. On the downside, trains into Paris city took 40 minutes and left hourly, so not the perfect location for exploring Paris city.

I can't compliment the staff enough on their friendliness and professionalism when arriving at the hotel. The room itself was basic but very clean. The beds were a bit firm for my taste, but again sheets were very clean. I thought the meals at the hotel were of a good standard, however would like to see lighter snacks offered on a night-time if you didn't feel like a heavy meal. Internet is offered for free, which isn't the case at some hotels. The hotel is very handy for the palace of Versailles. Regular bus services are just outside the hotel (439) and run approximately every 15-20 minutes. It takes you to the bus terminus which is then only a 10 min walk to the palace. The hotel itself is approx 20 minutes from the main train station at Saint Quentin by bus, or 10 mins by taxi. Overall a very nice stay.
