Good sized room with massive bed. Convient location with Bakery across the road! Would recommend for an overnight stop while traveling. We didn’t eat but restaurant was lively when arrived. Only thing that let it down was the shower as it was coming away from
Wall and a stain on the mattress.

You know what you are going to get with a Campanile. Cheap and cheerful, clean with no frills but everything you need. Easy to get to and park outside your room. Breakfast was typical continental buffet with plenty to choose from.

Great stop over hotel on our way through France. Easy to get to and quick to get back on the motorway.
Check in was good, friendly and efficient. The room was fairly basic but very clean and suited exactly what we needed,
There’s a nice dining area, however we were quite late checking in so just walked to a local bar a few minutes away.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Motel with great restaurant, perfect for it needs!

Booked as an overnight stop the day before travelling back to UK via EuroTunnel.
Really very pleasantly surprised. Rooms were Motel type and quite dated, but were clean and comfortable, & you can park right outside. The restaurant and chef were the surprise. Fantastic meal, friendly and welcoming. Perfect for our needs!

We needed a stop off for our trip to the Alps, and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. The check in was easy and the rooms were comfy and warm. There are various food options in close proximity, petrol station near by and supermarket.

Hotel with a smell you won’t forget!

Last Minute booking. Just staying for good night sleep. Driving from South of France and had long drive. Going back to UK early morning getaway. Unfortunately the room I was given, had a very bad smell. I didn’t think too much of it at first. It is a budget hotel. Thinking it just must be stuffy and opened windows. Told the person at reception. Did not cause too much of a fuss about it. I went into the main town to have dinner. Came back to the room. The smell had not gone away. So I tried call the reception. No one answered or was available. Very concerned so I had a chat with Hotels.com to try to get hold of someone as well. Even they had no joy. Smell unbearable, at one point I was thinking of going to sleep in my vehicle. Then I decided to locate the smell was coming from. I am not totally sure, but smell was mainly coming from bed / linen and carpets. So I ended up using my own sleeping bag and used my own pillow. Lucky I had gone camping before staying at this hotel. No one was that concerned at the hotel. Any complaints, I have call a number. To me that is bad service. When someone in front of you cannot help in anyway. I will not be staying at this chain of Hotel again. The previous night I stayed in another budget hotel called Hotel Kyriad Nord near Valence. It was exceptional clean. Staff both shifts gave excellent customer service.
If you are desperate to stay in this hotel, check your room first. Otherwise don’t risk it in my opinion.

Overnight stay in St Quentin

We stay in Campanile hotels regularly when travelling through France. St Quentin hotel was clean and the most comfortable beds. Ground floor room with walk in shower was perfect for us. The only disappointment was this hotel did not have the usual evening buffet, which we particularly enjoy. Staff were helpful and polite and helped with our limited French.

I would have marked much higher but.....the main reason I use Campanile hotels is that they have restaurants so I can simply arrive, eat dinner and sleep.
On arrival I was informed that the restaurant was closed for holidays.
I am dissatisfied that I was not informed about this when I booked via Hotels.com.
I was given a small credit to use against my next booking but I feel this is not a solution as I had to drive to a local restaurant (which meant that I could not have a beer).
Also, I now notice that the credit has to be used within 12 months. Inadequate as I am not likely to make further bookings in that time.

The hotel is adequate for a one night stop over. I used it as it was 50 mile nearer to the tunnel than Reims. Room could do with a little tlc. Hotel location is too close to main road so room was a little noisy and access is not secure as open at all times. Within easy walking distance to supermarket and restaurants nearby as hotel restaurant wasn’t available when I stayed.

Used the hotel for a cheap overnight stop. The accommodation is basic, which is fair enough for the price, although the room was a bit shabby. The television controller didn't work, even when they tried new batteries, and the wifi access to the internet was flaky. But the bed was very comfortable, and the parking right outside the rooms is convenient.

Fabric of building looking a little tired in places but room clean, bed comfortable and plenty of hot water.

Terrible. The room was locked so I could not get in!! I had to go to the hotel next door!

To cut a long story short....I knew the reception was only staffed until 11pm. I got stuck en-route due to Channel Tunnel “fun and games”. Anyhow, I called the hotel to say I’d be late (as per Expedia site instructions). The receptionist told me they’d leave a key in the room and the window open for me to get in. Didn’t happen!

So, had to rent a room at the “hotel-o-mat” next door.

Waiting for a refund!?!!?

Check in staff very pleasant. Room clean and comfortable. The only downside was that there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room, as if previous occupants had smoked inside. If there for more than one night I would have asked for a different room.
Good Wi-fi.
I didn’t use the restaurant.
I would stay there again as close to the autoroute so a good place to break the journey down through France.

Disappointing for the group

Normally can rely upon this group but now on two occasions we have been disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel and the food is not to be praised. On arrival we were told we have no cook so only salad for dinner and breakfast just too much trouble for the staff.
Try and miss this one if you can.

We have stayed here before and the staff are always helpful we should have asked for two ground floor rooms as we had a relative with us who was bad with walking,but I fofgot when I made the booking,the manger said he only had one room on the ground floor but as we were unpacking the car he came out and told us there had been a cancelation and there was now a room available we were very grateful for his help and consideration. He is definitely an asset to your Hotel group and hope he gets this message.

Good enough for the price but beware in summer

The room rate was cheap which should be taken into account. We had a terrible night's sleep due to the temperature. No air-conditioning (I should have checked the small-print) and couldnt open the window properly due to the lack of privacy. The rooms are compact but pleasant enough due to recent refurbishment. Parking facilities are decent and the restaurant was nice. Probably wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Booked 2 rooms for £78 which was very cheap! Rooms had ensuite bathrooms, coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Both rooms were clean and compact. Felt it was good value for money.
Lots of family friendly restaurants near by.

We have used this hotel for several years as an overnight stop to Spain and on our return. The room we were given on our return journey this time was not as clean as usual it had a slight doggy smell and the shower leaked. However the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good for an overnight stop.

Convenient, clean, but losing its allure

A convenient and simple hotel for an overnight stop to/from Calais, close to the motorway, shopping mall and with other restaurants a five-minute drive away. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, but we would have appreciated a second chair. This was the second time when arriving on a Sunday the chef was off duty and we were offered only a set meal. Not a smile from the lady at check out.

Convenient stopover for a drive south

I wanted somewhere just off the motorway part way to Switzerland and this fitted the bill. A bit like an American style motel with each room accessed from outside, it was simple if a little dated. I chose to eat in the restaurant for dinner. The menu was very ordinary and limited but OK. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. English was spoken although I did my best in French and the effort usually is appreciated.

Ideal Overnight Stop

Campanile's are a great one stop overnight stay while touring on a bike. They're very reasonably priced & we've yet to find a poor Campanile as this one didn't disappoint. The place was easy to find, parking right outside the room & the reception & restaurant opposite the rooms. The place was clean & tidy & the room equally so. The staff were friendly, efficient & multi-lingual. The basic amenities in the room were modern, clean & comfortable, & there was a TV, tea & coffee making facilities & free wi-fi. The bathroom was good, clean & contained wall mounted bottles of shower/shampoo gel as well as a good selection of clean white towels. Dinner in the restaurant was good, with a varied selection of courses, wines & beers. Breakfast was also very good despite being a fairly basic continental type. We like these sorts of places as they are ideal for bikers & other motorists.

Getting somewhere to stay very late in the evening...

We chose the hotel for it's convenient location between Geneva and Calais, and we knew we were only going to spend a couple of hours there before continuing our trip. So it turned out to be all we expected: a clean bed and bathroom, nothing more nothing less. A much appreciated item was the water boiler... Not a place you'd spend time, but perfect for a rest.

Receptionist (male) reeked of cigarette smoke - not a good start. Restaurant very plastic and \"cold\" - we would not choose to eat there. Room lighting very severe - huge wall light not controllable, whilst bedside light not working. Blackout blinds not as effective as older Campaniles. Tea-tray portions getting tighter. All in all, it provided a warm place to stop over and sleep in a comfy clean bed with en suite and that is it.

This hotel has been refurbished, the rooms were really good for the price 72 Euros, this did not include breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, TV, Tea/Coffee available, extra pillows, bathroom really nice. All areas were very clean, there was a heater that you could control, when heater on the room was really cosy. Parking was right outside the rooms and was free of charge.

You can eat in the hotel, but we did not, we crossed the road and there was an all you can eat chinese restaurant, 16 euros which was ok if you want to catch a quick bite.

Travel wise it was a very good place to stop off, really easy to access from the A26. We were going to Epernay and the hotel was approx 1hr 1/12 from the Eurotunnel and then 1hr 45 from the hotel.

Would definately stay there again.
