Absolutely fantastic hotel if you want to see the Palace or just wander round Versailles (or both). It's about 3 minutes sedate walk to the palace from the hotel front door. I'd recommend spending multiple days here in order to get the full value out of the palace, gardens and park, especially if you want to do the full experience with Trianon.

The breakfast and dining options are good, the staff are fantastic, friendly and multi-lingual, and the hotel itself is also genuinely impressive.

The area is full of friendly and welcoming people. There are lots of restaurants in the area, and the patisseries... if you like baked goods, you might need to be dragged out.

If you're tall (over 6'4) then the lower ceiling for most of the bathrooms might be inconvenient, but they have full headroom over the shower section.

From the moment we arrived at Hôtel Le Louis Versailles Château, we felt utterly pampered. Its location is unbeatable — just a few steps from the gates of the Palace of Versailles, making it a dream base for exploring the grandeur and history of Versailles.

Our room was beautifully appointed — a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The décor felt elegant yet welcoming, the bed was cozy, and the room was spotless.

What truly elevated the stay was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Every detail — from check-in to breakfast to simple questions — was handled with genuine care. We felt like guests, not just customers.

Dining at the hotel’s restaurant (L’Alcôve) was a delight: thoughtful, seasonal French cuisine served in a cozy, elegant setting. It was the perfect complement after a long day wandering Versailles.

Finally — the convenience: the hotel sits just two minutes from the station, which makes traveling to Paris smooth and effortless if you plan a side-trip to the city.

The hotel was good, but not excellent as we had expected. Check-in is crowded and there was only one person working the check-in counter, while other employees were busy with "administrative tasks" rather than taking care of guests. The area around Versailles is very touristy - not the hotel's fault, of course. But there are other locations that are closer to restaurant choices that are far better.

Impeccable ! Best location in town - unparalleled within a few hundred yards of the palace ! A stunningly beautiful hotel Reception desk super helpful - bedroom excellent quality with every possible amenity - ambiance of hotel is relaxed but attentive - catering is first class - we had entrecôte with bearnaise sauce and- frites for dinner which was excellent and the breakfast buffet was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. A splendid destination !

We had an amazing stay at Le Louis Hotel! Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a beautiful view of the garden… truly relaxing. The hotel feels like a 5-star property in every way: elegant, comfortable, and well kept.

The best part, however, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. A special thank you to Viorica at the front desk. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Versailles. We will definitely return!

The staff were nice and check-in process was great and efficient. Just did not like the way they were trying to ask money in case we would make use of room service or have dinner. I wanna pay for my service after i use them not upfront in case i would use it. Just say you want deposit? They wanted to ask for more than €100 but as i was staying for less than 24hr and was not planning to eat there, i said no and she just changed it to €100 only, so the whole thing is just weird to me.

The room i got was not properly cleaned.. They were dusts on the bathroom floor and one of the two towels was dirty and had stains on it. It was brown ish color, so i guess it was make up or something. Dont get me wrong towel was washed you could smell, but they were like 5-6 brown stains on the towel which i dont think you should keep and give it to your customers..

Overall, i was just unhappy with the way my room was not properly cleansed.

Youll want to stay here if you are visiting versailles. The rooms are beautiful, and our balcony had an excellent view. You will be happy when you only need to walk a few minutes to the palace gates. The front desk was so nice, and held our luggage before check in. The air conditioner worked well. We would stay there again and again.

Fantastic Upgrade

Very kind of the staff to afford an early checkin. Rooms hsve been renovated and are clean, fresh and comfortable. The breakfast was very generous and the public areas of the hotel were great for working. Wifi was fast, service was prompt, and the location is within an ideal distance to the metro to Paris, the Chateau, many shops, and a short walk from Notre Dame with great restaurants.

Great place to stay very near Versailles Palace, good reception experience, welcoming. Room was comfortable, shower screen leaked, but shower good. Nespresso machine and coffee good and cold complementary Evian water good. Air conditioning struggled, but weather exceptionally hot. Breakfast buffet good variety and regularly restocked. Dinner menu limited, but very tasty. Drinks medium priced.

We stayed jn McGallery le Louis Hotel for 3 nights as we wanted to visit Versailles at our own pace. The hotel is beautiful and has some wow factors, the style and decorations however are too corporate and does not feel cosy. The service is touch and go, some good and some bad but definitely not matching the high quality service i was expecting. Breakfast was ok and again it did not match my expectations, if you have breakfast in the last hour prepare to find not much left. The hot food was not great either, bacon was hard as a rock, sausages were bad quality and scrumbld eggs was more an omelette. Cleaning again was basic, the room we stayed had marks on the wall, the mattress cover and the bed sheet was too small so it was moving around when sleeping. Very annoying!
The cleaner kept entering the room without even knocking on the door. Slightly arrogant and definitely unprofessional !
Location is great but we have several other hotels nearby that are definitely cheaper and looked cosier. I have left with mixed feelings about this place but i wouldnt stay here if backnin Versailles as i did not feel looked after or pampered. Also dont forget they will charge you a deposit at check in, in our case 1000 euros for 3 nights, the rooms price was much lower though.

Ideal location for Chateau and some excellent restaurants nearby. Facilities are very good but staff let the property down. For example, our bed wasn’t properly made any night (bottom sheet seemed just tossed onto bed with duvet to cover it). Tissue boxes empty, dirty dishes left in room, etc. things that are so easy to get right yet made the stay less comfortable. It was almost impossible to get anyone to answer the room service number, reception’s attitude was inconsistent. Sometimes good other times really rude. Wanted to love the hotel- with better staff it would be great

Everything was great the only complaint we had was that the tub was very slippery and a lot of water spilled out when taking a shower. Definitely more built for baths than showers.

The location is great, the service is great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

I highly recommended this hotel the only downfall is i didn't like the maids attitude she gave my husband in regards to leaving the empty bottled of water in the room. It said no where in our room that once you drink the free bottled water we needed to give them back. We used them while we were out and threw them away.

Ideal for Versailles Chateau!

Location is great if you want to be near Versailles chateau (it is literally facing you as you turn left out the hotel!) and don't mind taking RER into Paris. This was perfect for us as we prefer staying where it's a bit quieter and easy to get away from the really busy centre of Paris. I think the price was very reasonable for location and size of rooms. I wouldn't bother with breakfast next time as the buffet wasn't worth the price (they had options for a coffee and pastries for 8 euros which was far more reasonable and all I ate anyway). Only gripe is that deluxe room said it had a free mini bar for soft drinks but all we got was water - not sure if this was because I booked via hotels.com rather than direct - didn't bother us but worth asking if it's important to you😊

We had a really rough evening with some medical stuff and we checked in late, Jack was unbelievable and more amazing, he went above and beyond that a normal person would. Making sure we had a phone chargers, bottle openers, extra help with the parking garage, The hotel was beautiful but Jack made it extra special here we go
