The room was amazing! Spacious and clean. The staff was perfect - so nice and helpful. We were given an upgraded room and the balcony was HUGE! Lots of restaurants close by (Steve’s Athens is just around the corner and down a little ways and it is delicious!). Drinks and snacks available nearby in a couple little shops as well. We were very pleased with our stay!

Katerina and the rest of the front desk crew were absolutely amazing from the time we booked. They were extremely responsive and proactive regarding our stay, including providing a pillow menu! They were proactive regarding transportation needs and also made the perfect restaurantrecommendations based on our needs. We felt warm safe and comfortable. Breakfast exceeded our expectations in terms of choices, freshness and taste. The breakfast area was clean and well-maintained. My daughter fell ill and needed an antibiotic, and they were extremely helpful in guiding
us and following up to make sure she was feeling better. Upon arriving via taxi to the hotel, the area has a lot of graffiti, appears rundown and somewhat dirty but once you enter the hotel, you feel like you are in a different world. I wanted to say that I felt unsafe. However, it was really just the look outside the hotel that threw me off. We walked to Plaka every day and every night and never once did we feel unsafe and this is coming from someone who lives in New York City and rides the transit system. The morning of our checkout we had an early ferry ride and we’re pleasantly surprised to receive a delicious boxed breakfast to take with us on the ferry. It really was the perfect ending to a wonderful stay. You will not be disappointed if you stay here the price is right.

Our experience at Estia Boutique Hotel was truly fantastic. Marina was a great host—friendly, attentive, and always available to help. She made us feel very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The apartments were spotless and impeccably maintained, making us feel right at home. The location is perfect—central and walkable to many attractions, restaurants, and shops, which made exploring the area so convenient.

We didn’t hear a sound inside the hotel but outdoors could be a bit noisy. It’s a 30 minutes walk to the Acropolis. Better take a taxi. About 15 Minutes walk to the “Plaka”.

We did feel the area invited I higher level of homelessness which makes you a bit uncomfortable at night if walking. Additionally, the bedroom was right off the main street. The bedroom needs blackout curtains to eliminate the lighting from the building outside. You felt like your sleeping with a light shining on you.

Estia is a diamond in a transitional neighborhood. That said, we felt safe, walked all around, ate at fantastic restaurants and easily picked up Uber Taxis to go wherever we needed. The hotel planned a tour for Delphi for us and arranged for airport transfers both ways. Please bring EU CASH for any tour and for transfers if arranging through Estia. The room was beautiful, comfortable and roomy. Bring a hairdryer if you need to actually style your hair. The dryer is attached to the wall with a short cord and you must press the handle for it to remain on.
You can pack lightly for your trip because the laundromat is about a half mile away.
The breakfast was fantastic as well as all staff members!
I highly recommend Estia!!

The hotel was superb! From the well appointed rooms to the comfortable beds to the friendly and helpul staff we felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel.

The buffet breakfast was exceptional? All the food was prepared onsite and the variety changed daily. The pies baked by the cooks were amazing! And what can I say about the variety of deserts other than ., exeptional.

We would like to thank Marianna, Marina, Maria, and Katrina for their exeptional hospitality and help. And to all the staff , Efcharisto!!

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children. We rented the two-room apartment, which was great. My kids had their own room and bathroom so they didn't disturb us and we didn't disturb them. The kitchenette was well stocked, though we didn't eat in as much as we thought we would. There is a grocery store right around the corner so you could make every meal in the room if you wanted. The breakfast was fantastic. There aren't a lot of breakfast options nearby so having breakfast provided was a big plus. The staff was exceedingly polite and helpful. They were kind enough to call our car rental agency for me to get some information since I don't speak Greek.
The hotel isn't in a particularly busy part of the city, which is nice because it isn't very loud outside. It is about 3/4 of a mile walk to Monastiraki Square which takes about 15 minutes. The two closest metro stations on the green and red lines are both about 10 minute walks.
Parking was also a huge positive. There is virtually no parking available on the street so the hotel's private garage was indispensable. It is underground and can only be accessed when the front desk is manned which didn't present us with any problems.
We had a great time and this will be our first choice of places to stay if we return.

The front desk clerks were so friendly. Upon checking in we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner and Marika (if I'm remembering her name correctly) suggested The Egg of The Rooster, a few blocks away. It was outstanding! The hotel location is among some shops and apartments. It was beautiful inside. The room was lovely. The air conditioning didn't cool as much as I like at night but Marika was very helpful in doing everything she could to get it to a cooler setting. The included breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Estia. It was brilliant value for money: the property is clean, quiet, and has a very comfortable bed and good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast had a lot of variety and we were offered a takeaway box if we had to leave early which was a nice touch.
We've stayed in the Kerameikos area previously and know we really like it - it feels like an authentic neighbourhood where the locals go, but is super walkable to the city centre.

The inside of this hotel is a gem whereas the outside is among a sea of graffities. The building stands out as having the cleanest exterior walls with no sign of graffities. The neighborhood has many restaurants and pubs. On a weekend, they are full of locals at night. The area looks scary but feels safe. The suite is very nicely decorated with a large patio. The breakfast courtyard is also very nice. So is the breakfast itself. Staff are friendly. The owner is very gracious and hospitable.

This was a cute hotel to stay at. We got in early after a bit before the official check in and they accommodated us by getting the room ready earlier. This was so appreciated as we needed a quick snap before exploring the city. The staff was so incredibly kind. We left early for our ferry and they prepared us to go boxes for our travels since we would be missing the breakfast. Speaking of which was actually great! The court yard was so charming. The hotel is located in a great area to access the classic tourist attractions. A 15 minute walk to areas like Psiri and Plaka and just a bit further to the Acropolis. We only took one route which was less than ideal in terms of safety but it was out of the way to get to the closet ATM. We otherwise mostly felt safe walking and the area was quiet enough for easy sleeping.

This was a lovely homey property on a quiet residential street in Athens. All the sites are walkable, and there is public transport nearby. I loved that it was in a \"real\" neighbourhood not overrun by tourists. I don't understand other reviews complaining about the neighbourhood - I thought it was lovely and always felt very safe. Great one night stay at this property. It was quiet and conveniently walkable to train stations. We also walked to the pantheon (about 30 min one way). The only gripe was the wifi was not consistent at the end-rooms of the hall. Each hall has their own wifi. Regardless, the room was great and bed comfortable. Loads of amenities in the studio and they were able to get us a breakfast box since we left at 5:30AM. I would easily stay here again when in Athens.

The hotel experience was impeccable from start to finish. The staff at the hotel were so pleasant and accommodating, I don’t think I have ever been treated so well.

The rooms are just beautiful! Sometimes the pictures can be deceiving with online bookings but these rooms were even better than the photos. Everything was upgraded and highend. I felt safe and well cared for.

We had to leave really early in the AM so the staff made us breakfast boxes.

So impressed. Will recommend to anyone staying in Athens.

Fantastic boutique hotel in Athens

We love this hotel and stay here on all our visits. Close enough to all the sites that even on sweltering days, you can leisurely stroll to get there, but enough out of the center of the city that it's quiet at night. The neighborhood has definitely been gentrifying since we started going here and now there are many restaurants and bars to visit in the area. There is a full grocery store a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Staff is also very nice and efficient. No complaints.

Our family of 6 ( 3 generations- ages 21-84) spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Four of our party are vegetarians and we appreciated all the choices in the fantastic breakfast. All of the staff were warm and helpful. The rooms are not large, but they were very comfortable and were decorated nicely. We really liked the neighborhood. We felt safe, we ate well at a restaurant just a few blocks away. It was easy to walk to the Metro and to the Plaka. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Plenty of nice restaurants within a block or two from the expensive upcoming chef tasting menu type to the excellent (inexpensive but imaginative) Rakor which we wish would open a branch near where we live! Perfect base for visiting Athens

Amazing stay in Athens in early November.
The city is stunning, the weather was wonderful and Estia boutique hotel was just perfect as a base for visiting the different sites or for having lunch/dinner in a nice restaurant or for a trip on the islands

The room and amenities were on par with a 5 star chain hotel with a boutique feel. Breakfast is not your standard American fare but hot and cold options including cooked vegetables, eggs, cold cuts, cheese selections, tomato/cucumber salad, pastries, etc.

The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating. They coordinated transfers, gave recommendations on dining options based on our preferences and directions to various attractions around town. They gave suggestions that made to trip so much more than we expected. Would definitely book our next visit in Athens with them again.

Stunningly beautiful room, delicious food, exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. The neighborhood around the hotel is not the cleanest but it was very walkable and close to main attractions. Also the city tax was only 1 euro so that was a relief. We loved it.

Very noisy street traffic, no view whatsoever, be prepared to see lots of drug usage nearby on your walk to/from lunch/dinner, room was tiny, and we cannot rate the breakfast as the personnel were not there as planned.

Whilst Athens today has much unsightly graffiti that makes many areas look very seedy especially just outside the city’s central core, Estia Boutique Hotel is a glowing gem and highly recommended for comfort, price, accommodations, and amazing staff. Marina and Christelle at the front desk were incredibly helpful, friendly, engaging, and informative, answering all our questions and more. And to make sure each new day gets off to a wonderful start, the included breakfast prepared each day provides a tasty and wide variety of freshly prepared favourites, pastries, and local treats. Lastly, ask about some close-by eating and bar establishments that are inexpensive with great food clearly endorsed by local patrons. All in all, a delightful place to use as your home base while in Athens!!
