Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Murphy’s Suites. The suite I got was spacious and you can’t beat the location. It’s a short walk to everything Main Street has the office. Quiet in the evenings and hot coffee is available all day by the lobby. Would definitely stay again!

Our 2 room suite had a separate bedroom. There was a sitting area with tv so my wife could watch late night tv while I went to bed. I get up early so I could make coffee and not disturb Her. Well laid out room . More hotels should be like this! Also the room rate was beyond reasonable!

Love the separate living space from the bedroom. The furniture was comfortably worn-in, but serviceable. The cleanliness was very good! The staff were dog-friendly and loved my pittie Bruce every chance they got. Parking was easy, and access from parking to rooms is good. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Murphys Main St., where there are many restaurants, shops, and wine tasting rooms. I think it is an excellent value compared with other local hotels.

Remove plastic bags from the trees which can be seen from second floor windows. Make a higher fence or use shrubbery to block the neighbors toxic waste barrels seen from the 1st floor windows.

The hotel advertises they have jacuzzi and it's actually out of commission May 2026. County came and told them to close their jacuzzi and they should update this on the platforms they allow reservations with.

Parking was adequate. Rooms are big. Beds were decently comfortable. There was not maid service while we were there but you could get anything you needed at the front desk. They brought donuts and orange juice to your room every morning. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub didn't work but didn't plan to use it. It's a little walk to town but not bad. There is a convenience store right behind and a hardware store next door. I would stay there again.

Couch was really gross and dirty , we asked for extra sheets to cover it so we could sit on it... being the only place to sit besides a very small table with 2 chairs that again dirty!. Pool, saunas and hot tub all out of order. Non working outlets, remote for T.V. didn't work, furniture all needs updated, carpet was nasty. Blankets were smelly and ROUGH. This was a king \"suite\" and with a few minor improvements it would've been worth the price. Young lady at front desk was the one highlight of my stay.

There aren’t very many options of places to stay while you’re in Murphy’s unless you want to go into Angels Camp or Arnold, but I do think that of the options available this one is a better option. The space was quite clean, large and spacious. We had everything we needed. It is a bit outdated. It’s nice that they give you the option of donuts or a breakfast burrito in the morning, nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice. As far as the staff, we only encountered 2 people, there was a man at checkout who was very kind and friendly, and made our checkout incredibly simple. However, there was an older blonde woman that was there when we checked in, she came off as a bit rude, and not even the slightest bit friendly. In fact, in that moment, we considered not staying, but we took a breath and a moment, and went upstairs to our room and ended up having a really nice evening.

Newer hotel building built in 2002 with many rooms and fair prices. Check in was friendly, quick and easy. Rooms are large, clean, and well insulated against outside noise. Room style is a little outdated but still in good condition and the hotel is a mile or 2 from downtown action on Murphy's Main street. Pool was open on Feb, large and clean. Lovely large hot tub outside under the stars. Very limited exercise room. On site laundry machines available to guests. A lot of parking that's free. There's a gas station with convenience foods very close-walking distance. No breakfast but they deliver fresh made mini cake donuts or a frozen bean burrito, and small oj, in the morning. Rooms have coffee machine and lobby has fresh coffee, cream and other options for snacks. Would recommend while staying in Murphy's.

The staff are amazing, supplying coffee, soft serve, extra supplies for the room, breakfast and assistance whenever requested. The room was comfortable, with a mini fridge, bar sink, microwave and counter to make food and equipped with a TV that connected to our accounts for streaming which my kids loved. Parking is free and safe. Nearby restaurants are foodie heaven. Calaveras County is amazingly beautiful, and this is the perfect launch point for a trip to Bear Valley, Big Trees State Park or any other local spots.

We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to park and access our room. They had the tastiest and freshest doughnuts for breakfast with oj every morning. In the evenings the kids were spoiled with soft serve vanilla ice cream. We didn’t use the pool because it was freezing when we went up. The room was spacious with a couch in the living area and an extra chair in the bedroom. The tv had local cable tv, forcing our children to slow down and play with each other.
The staff was very friendly and patient. The hotel itself is close to Main Street, just a few minutes drive to the action. We stayed here to be closer to the snow and it was about a 45
Minute drive to Spicer Sno park. The also have onsite driers to dry your clothes if you needed to (it took quarters).
