Unusually designed hotel. Each room had an exterior door and we had to walk 1/2 block to go to our free breakfast. The food selection was not as varied as some other hotels but was adequate. The room was fine. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was large with a nice sized vanity. It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants since it was downtown and we were given a map of the restaurants and they type of food they served.

I feel the website needs to include the picture of the 'overflow' building where we had to stay because they had no more rooms available in the main building. No where on the website is the 'overflow' building shown or mentioned which looks nothing like the main building from the outside. We noticed possible non client random people outside the parking lot/wall/trash dumpster on their phones and or smoking. I had to close my room door fast so the cigarette smoke wouldn't come in the room. Also the coffeemaker should not be placed in the restroom as it is unhygienic. Lastly the shower stream is way too strong when it hits your body and there is no way of adjusting it. Other than that the stay was ok especially for the price.

You can tell the location is old and newly renovated. It’s a nice renovation but “interesting.” Nothing horrible, but just strange. There are no usable outlets in the room other than the one that is part of the lamp. The bathroom is huge/long - lots of wasted space. There is a usable outlet in the bathroom, but it’s loose. The complimentary coffee maker is in the bathroom on the lower-than-average sink counter is at one end of the bathroom. The toilet is in the middle of the rectangular bathroom, right when you open the door and shower stall is at the other end with a knob that is slippery and difficult to hold to pull the door open when you are done showering. There is a bottle of bath gel provided (attached to the shower stall) but no shampoo or conditioner. Like I said, just weird. You have to walk to their other acquired property (about a block) for the breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, mini muffins, fruits, yogurt, coffee, etc. Only complaint (minor) would be no decaf for my husband.

How this property was rated 8.6 I do not know. Shouldn’t be above 6-7. The bed was terrible. It was hard and used up. Felt like sleeping on a box spring. The air conditioner was an old window wall unit that was very old. The breakfast was terrible. Had pre made pancakes that were tough and hard around the edges. Kept running out of coffee.

I was very happy with this hotel! This is my first time in Sonora so I didn't know what to expect and this hotel tomorrow to be a wonderful place to stay and the staff is so nice and very helpful. They offer snacks and refrigerated drinks in the lobby, the rooms and property are clean well maintained. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Pros: Hotel lived up to its’ reviews and a reputation. It has clean nice rooms with large decent bathrooms. The staff is very helpful and polite. You’ll receive printed map of local places to eat with types of food and phone numbers listed - very thoughtful.
Cons - no bathroom in lobby, no washer/dryer facility on premises (plenty of laundry-mats around town, very clean and organized)
Loved the town especially! It’s the cutest California’ historic town, just like I imagined it from the books! I loved town’ people - they are very kind, organized and good folks.

Such a great place we got a suite with a Jacuzzi. To amazing we even extended our stay. Room was clean. King bed was very comfy even had a pull out sofa. Breakfast was excellent. Pool was amazing. I mean I would def stay and refer very comfortable. Staff amazing. Ty can't wait to come back.

On our arrival at check in I was told that room is not ready because they short on staff.I asked if they have king bed instead of queen lady said yes and never told me it's going to be extra charge.I was charged 100$ extra .
Very poor customer service and place not worthy this kind of money!
Room next to the bad full of crumbs.

The staff was friendly. The room was okay…the carpet had a lot of stains on it and so did the couch. When we went down for breakfast, there were 4 rotting apples just sitting on the counter in front of everyone which was kind of off putting. If they could put out rotting apples and not even notice, it made us wonder about the other food. We did not do the breakfast for our next morning there. There were also quite a bit of dead bugs in the pool that we were constantly swooshing aside to avoid touching or getting in our hair while swimming.

the room were dingy and smelled like cigarette smoke even though it is a non-smoking room. The bed sheets had stains and the HVAC did not provide much comfort. The free breakfast was less awful. I did not bring anything up during the stay as i worked long hours and did not have time to make them aware.

They had offered a breakfast but it was in a very tiny room serving two buildings and we barely could get a bottle of water.

The facility is old, not well-maintained. The corridors are not clean. The room itself was clean but definitely needs proper maintenance. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good enough for the price I paid. There were ample parking spaces, the place looks safe. The facility is separated from the main road by its wide parking spaces, so noise is not a problem. It is a short walking distance from the Sonora downtown.

The mattresses were older and uncomfortable. Not enough exposed outlets with only one accessible in the sleeping area and one in the bathroom. Condition of room mostly OK. Wall’s between rooms poorly or not insulated so we could easily hear our neighbors. and no doubt they could hear us. Our room needs some repair and upgrades. Thanks for asking.

The room leaked on the bed and shower and the door. the door had a 1 inch gap top and bottom of door it smelled of mold and you could see the previous patches to hide the leaks also the bathroom had a terrible smell from the sink it was not properly attached called front desk they just said sorry should of been compensated Never coming back Im going to write owner and inform health department should be condemned..

One of the loudest motels I have stayed at, constant banging and noise from other rooms and couldn’t tell if it was next door or under us. The motel has a lot of differed maintenance, peeling wall paper, dips in floor that squeak loudly and are sponge like when you step on them. Tv had to be replaced and phone never worked. Stayed there a week and only ate breakfast once because it was not good.

The traffic noise from the street was terrible. There was blood spatter on the wall next to the toilet. The beds had sheets only and 1 very thin blanket, so we were cold at night. And the wall heater/A/C unit did not work. The mattresses were so old we could feel the springs in the bed.

This place received a nice remodel since the last time we visited a couple of years ago. The room felt decently clean, however, we asked for a room refresh (clean towels, bedsheets, trash taken out) after 2 nights staying there and they didn’t get to our room. The walls were super thin as well and I could hear people talking in the middle of night/early morning. We will likely stay again as the place is generally clean and staff is very nice

The property was nice for the area, and we were excited to stay. Unfortunately, upon setting everything up in our hotel late night and once we got into the room, there were urine and feces stains on our bed sheet, and hair. It clearly had not been washed. Upon notifying the property management, they did not offer any sort of recompensation or credit towards the room stay, and were relatively unphased by the incident, simply responding that they will \"talk to the house cleaning staff.\" We were extremely and obviously disgusted for the bed sheets we were already in to find them in that state, and will for sure be seeking someplace else that has a higher standard of cleanliness in the future.

Really loved my stay here! Very comfortable, clean, convenient, with many hot breakfast options. Thank you for also having such a warm welcome when checking in! The Christmas decorations were such a nice surprise and really made it feel like a very cared for place in support of weary travelers. Even the pens were part of the decoration! Kudos for your meaningful efforts, no other place to stay like here.
