Do not stay here if you’re trying to get some sleep. Very loud! The next room over had the tv on all night and it was so loud. There was a window on top of the door that was so bright and a window on the ceiling I could hear the rain. Very noisy. Would not recommend. Blinds were dusty. Spider webs in the corners of the room. Lobby has a fairly strong odor (curry maybe?), but not really bad. Staff was good. The room was nice, but it needs a thorough cleaning. Lots of dust that has been accumulating for years and the sink area had little gnat flies that just kept appearing.

The room, bathroom was very clean, well decorated, plenty of towels, toiletries. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful!! When I asked for an extra blanket, within less than two minutes. I was given 2 blankets!!
There is no kitchen, dining area for breakfast. However, what they do for their guests is beyond even better!! I received 2 large baskets full of single cold/hot cereals, organic milk, orange juice. Containers of muffins, cinnamon rolls and croissants. Fresh apples, oranges, tangerines!!! Plenty of bowls, napkins, utensils. They provide enough breakfast for every morning that their guests are there, in abundance!! I brought so much home with me!
I highly recommend this amazing hotel!

The room was clean but the bed and tv were on the same wall so it was difficult to watch tv. It looked like they were trying to refurbish the property. Had to walk down a road that was hard to walk on. Water gravel and tar coming up. Also a bit dangerous if a car had to go up the as it was only wide enough to fit the car. The proprietor talked real fast and did not give me a receipt for our stay. Said we had to go online and request the receipt. The place was quite the best thing at this facility was the Farrell cats roaming around the grounds. Will not go there again.

The last sad hotel in downtown Jamestown. The property appears to be in its last legs. The room was clean but beyond dated. Clearly the new nearby casino has decimated the historic town. Hard to recommend.

The room was very clean and cozy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our one complaint was the wifi was very weak in our room, which was the furthest from the front lobby (211).
The weather was very hot but our room stayed cool and the ceiling fan helped to keep us comfortable while we slept. Even though the hotel is very old, it was a very quiet night and we never heard any road noise. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Pleasantly surprised by the environment here. Rustic little town with good number of vacant shops, yet clean and charming with its old west feel. Hotel’s maintenance hasn’t kept up with its wear and tear, but overall it’s clean and staff is friendly. Really good value too!

The staff is very friendly. Rooms are outdated, but there’s not a lot of business in Jamestown. The bed is very springy and a bit uncomfortable. However, the couch was comfy, and the kitchen was really nice. You get what you pay for, it was a very quiet room. It was nice to have our own space. Lots of room. Parking was manageable, but a little crowded however we had a spot for every night.

The cottage is cute but does need some repair. The mattress is hard. Some make prefer that. Breakfast is prepared and brought to you the night before which is a cute basket filled lots of goodies. Staff is great, friendly, and helpful. Outside the cottage does need to be cleaned up.

Clearly these rooms are being renovated. The inbuilt heater smelt of paint. I guess thats why the portable heater was there. Bed was comfy and 3 feet of the ground. It had a kitchen as well which was decent. But the whole room point downhill, very noticeably. My drunk wife struggled with it.

I’ve never reviewed a hotel stay before, but this was unpleasant enough to get me to write a review. Problems:
-Cats roaming the lobby. Not good if you’re allergic.
-Overflowing bags of dirty sheets in the hallways
-Sheets looked like they had been washed but still had stains
-Thin walls/door - heard every time the front desk phone rang, it’s very loud when another room turns on the shower, can hear conversation and TV clearly from the adjacent room.
-Non-smoking room smelled like smoke
-Spider in the bedding when we arrived, plus some flies.
-Room doesn’t get dark. There’s a window above the door that lets the hallway light shine in.
-Room badly needs a new coat of paint and addressing the mystery drips from the ceiling. Also a good number of small unpatched holes in the walls.
-Key didn't work (antiquated keying system)
-Room was hot.

On the bright side, the breakfast basket was nice.

Pros: The service was super friendly. The breakfast basket was brought to the room early in the morning and was pretty good.
Cons: I expected the room to look at least what the photos showed. Believe me, it is
NOT. Don't expect a clean bug free room. I will be washing EVERYTHING we brought due to finding roaches in the medicine cabinet under my toothbrush, on the kitchen counter and floor. There is also mold on the bathroom ceiling and door jams.
I really want to give a better review but I just cannot.

We chose this motel because their Expedia listing clearly says they have a laundry room. We had 10 days worth of dirty clothes. Upon arrival we were told no laundry room and no option of a refund. Had to find a laundromat in the next town. Most of the bussinesses around the motel are closed. Their listing also says \"free parking\". The only parking available was on the street. Had to park 2 blocks away. The few parking spots they had on site looked to be taken by permanent residents. Wifi was barely usable and no ice machine. Never in 3 days was anyone at the front desk. Had to call by phone to get someone to come to the desk.

The check-in was great. Limited parking area. Neighbors next door seemed to be engaged in illegal activities other than marijuana. Inside cottage was clean except mat at the end of the bed looked to have blood stains on it. I suppose it could have been other stains, but that was 1st thing I thought of. Returned room keys a couple hours later. No one came to front so called explaining we would not be staying and why. They said they would remove the mat.

Our stay was nice, it seems there are long term residents there. The property needs a junk hauler and a lot of maintenance. If it was fixed up it would be a very cute location. The staff were nice and the breakfast baskets were very good. We would love to stay again if the place were cleaned up and the garden looked like the pictures on the web.

Very clean, centrally located in Jamestown on Main street. With many different restaurants within walking distance to satisfy anyone’s culinary need. Very friendly staff going out of their way to meet your needs. The rooms have everything one can imagine for a short or long stay, including fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board. And to boot it all, a very sumptuous breakfast after which you can skip lunch. We did.
The staff is very friendly, we were treated as personal guests with very personal service. I have travelled all over the world and have not experienced this kind of service.
Dee, the lady in charge of the place is a gem, who goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable.
We plan to come back here next summer for a longer vacation.

Better then I expected

I was leering of booing this place so I stayed somewhere else for 2 nights. Then I needed to extend and that place was full. So I got a room here. It was on the second floor with no elevators how ever there is an entrance in the back that gets you to the 2nd floor with very few steps. That was very helpful. The place was cute inside and the people were great. Right on main street with Balcony over looking the main drag in town. I was in town to visit someone at the Sierra Conservation Center. If you cam to Jamestown for this reason, I suggest you stay here. Free Breakfast and close to everything in this small town. I will stay here on my next visit.

This building has been standing since 1922. Once a brothel. The bedding was clean & comfortable. The shower was extremely small & so was the toilet area. If you're looking for somewhere safe & just need to sleep, this is the place. Keep in mind there are only stairs & no elevator if you can't walk up stairs. Very nice staff & not noisy at all.

This was a unique upstairs motel. The room was nice and clean and bed comfortable. It had a lovely front deck you could sit on and watch the town. The front desk lady was exceptionally nice. We were able to park directly in front and that was convenient.

So disappointing and gross.

The 2 ladies, I assume we’re mother and daughter were very kind and polite. However the conditions of the room and hotel were definitely not what the pictures online showed. We were told at check in that there was no smoking but when we went up to our room the stench of marijuana and cigarettes was so disgusting and overwhelming. The people in the room next to us had very loud kids and a dog that barked. The people in the hotel and out on the balcony were clearly on drugs and just weird. We ended up leaving at midnight. We just couldn’t take it any longer. So sad.

There were several bad things about the hotel. First, we got locked in our room after check-in because the door handle did not work from the inside. In all rooms, there was a bad smell. All the rooms seemed pretty run down, so the images on the website were not precise.
On the second night, the house keeper started hammering at 9pm in the room next-door,which was pretty loud. In general, the house seemed like one big building site.
The service did not seem very helpful either. WiFi did not work properly.
The best thing, was the breakfast which was brought to us on a tray to have it in the room.
All in all, our stay was pretty disappointing.

The decor is kept for the most part in a style that matches the gold rush times. Some of them are really cool like stained glass ceiling window. Some not so much like glass decoration above the room entrance door which lets in hallway light at night. Overall the property needs a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The nice touch is a breakfast delivered to the room the night before.

The staff was super sweet. The hotel is currently under construction. The parking is not good. Actually stayed in one of the cabins behind the hotel: It was hot in side- cooler is located in the bedroom area- does not cool down whole cabin. The table in the kitchen area with only 1 chair in the whole cabin. The \"sofa couch\" is not a sofa couch- it is a rock hard lumpy thing that folds down. The bed was extremely firm. Basically- it was an experience! LOL! I would totally stay there again- but bring stuff with me to make it more comfortable!

The staff at the front next was sweet charming and engaging. She was the best part of our stay. The front of the building was nice and quaint. The “cottages” in the back are in pretty rough shape. They are rundown and poorly maintained. I was disappointed by a lack of an iron and ironing board as well as pretty abysmal coffee making in the room. In a cottage with 4 beds, there was one unit of regular coffee, one of decaf and two cups and no stirrers for the coffee ( yes, pretty petty but I like my morning coffee). Parking was also substandard. Perfect for a Prius but nearly impossible for a full-size truck. However, for the price and being on main street, I suppose it wasn’t bad.

Inside the room was OK. It was clean. Front desk staff courteous and friendly. However, the night we arrived there was no coffee maker in room, television only had one channel, and no hot water in shower (cottage #6). Next day they fixed tv and provided a coffee maker, but issue with hot water was never resolved so we had two days of cold showers. I’d probably stay there again if it were not for that.

It was terrible, the room really needed a upgrade, the whole facility does, it was soo bad and the heater didn’t work in the room that we checked out early at 8 pm and left, when we got in, there is no one to check us in, after waiting a while, a housekeeper checked us in and gave us her master key foe the room cause the lady who does the keys hasn’t showed up yet, we ended up dropped her key off at the desk and leaving at 8, there was no phone or anybody at the desk to talk to at 8 pm! Ridiculous place! I have stayed at multiple hotels through hotels.com and by far, this was the worst! The only reason we booked the place was that it was close to the railroad park where we took our son to the Polar Expess and wanted to spend the night after. Weird, druggy looking people walking around the facility and we didn’t feel safe to stay! I hope hotel.com reads this and does not place this hotel on their list!

Well, this had to be like the dirtiest place I ever stayed. But room looked like it had some construction and dust all over the all over the place. There was still coffee grounds in the coffee pot.I guess they did some work in the bathroom Because, seem like there was new fixtures in there but the shower was completely not is not attached..The bed was cleanSomewhat Springy. But I didn't complain cuz it was just for one night anyway.Also towels were reused..

We were not satisfied with the service because there nobody in the office when we came to check in. We were wait for about 15 minutes. Clerk was not friendly.
