It’s a bit far away from the heart of Bordeaux and requires a lot of walk to access to restaurants and shopping. The room we stayed in was quite small and we only received a very minimal service. IMO, it doesn’t live up to 5 stars hotel standards. Would definitely come back to Bordeaux but will not stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and the team members lovely . Food good quality. However lack of management presence meant that a staffing issue on Sunday evening was not resolved leaving guests with no explanation & food/ drinks that took over an hour & a half to arrive and on Monday shortages of breakfast items by 9.45am. A shame as otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

We have a wonderful time at this hotel. Our room was ready when we arrived and exactly as requested. The entire staff was amazing. We mainly walked to all of our restaurants and tours. Conveniently located but in a quiet part of town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bordeaux

A beautiful hotel, excellent service all round, rooms are stunning and very clean! Great location, quiet but can walk to centre of old town in 15-20minutes! The pool could benefit from a bit of music in the daytime to give it more atmosphere. I also think charging €30 pp per hour for the spa in addition is a bit unreasonable and overpriced for what the spa has to offer but we didn’t really mind as we wouldn’t have used the spa. I would stay again!

Excellent hotel with pool!

I highly recommend this hotel for any visit Bordeaux. The staff and facility were exceptional. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood so it’s a 15 minute walk to the city centre but well worth it, especially with the refreshing pool after a full day of seeing what Bordeaux has to offer. I will definitely plan to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff

Beautiful hotel with an intimate feel thanks to the small number of guests. About10-15 mins walk from the river, it's located on a quiet road just outside the city centre. The room was immaculate and the facilities (breakfast, dining, bar and pool) were excellent.
What stood out the most was the quality of the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and it seemed no request was too much for them. I will absolutely stay here again when I revisit Bordeaux.

The hotel is walking distance to the centre of Bordeaux, everywhere easy to reach by foot. Room was perfect, we stayed in Shakespeare which had a hot tub on the balcony. We had dinner from the tasting menu at the restaurant which was sensational. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Bordeaux.

It's a nice hotel, quite small, with a small pool that is open 24 hours a day. There is a fantastic restaurant on site. We found the hotel calm and quiet, and the service was good. It is in a pretty good location in Bordeaux, which is a very handsome city. I suppose it comes down to price, if you are happy with the price there is nothing to fault with this hotel, for me to give it 5 stars it would have either to have been more spectacular or cheaper. But we enjoyed our stay.

We just loved this hotel and would most definitely stay here again. The property is lovely and the staff super friendly and efficient. Our room was very spacious with super comfy bedding and luxurious bathroom that included a separate toilet room. I can’t speak for the breakfast or restaurant, as we did not eat there. Overall, we had a memorable stay at Le Palais Gallien.

The staff was unbelievably friendly and they did not come ass fake for the patrons but genuinely nice and accommodating.

The room and bed were awesome too! The amenities were slim but it’s an old renovated place so not to be expected with being large.

Only issue was, we had free international calls but could not make on our room phone nor could staff make from their desk.
Also, it’s not as central as we believed but a great location and clary ore residential but a close walk to the gardens and other spots much more centrally located!

Great stay and worth every penny!

A wonderful surprise in Bordeaux

A one day stay on our way to another destination. We found the staff to be exceptional. Friendly, concerned, and helpful. We travel often and would definitely return to this location and recommend it highly. We had an amazing stay at Le Palais Gallien. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and had some pretty cool tech. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were able to prepare dinner for us after the restaurant had already closed on the night we arrived. They also booked restaurants for us and had great recommendations on things to do in the city. Every night we had fresh cannelles for us to enjoy. The only downside is that the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre.

We just had the best of times at this beautiful hotel. The staff just couldn’t do enough to make things special, it’s how all hotels at this level should be. Congratulations we will definitely be back...
