The hotel is in a great location, close to the main attractions and restaurants in Bordeaux. The staff were polite and check-in was smooth. However, the rooms felt small and outdated, and the overall experience was ok. The breakfast was average and lacked variety. It’s fine for a short stay, but I expected a bit more comfort and attention to detail for the price.

Property is somewhat run down, old carpeting, old decor. Rooms are quiet and dark to sleep. Parking is very expensive but the hotel location is wonderful. Everything is in walking distance. Transportation, restaurants, shops everything is very close by. Very happy with the location, downstair restaurant and hotel staff. Would stay here again.

This is the most central location I have ever stayed in. So easy to pop back into the hotel during the day to drop off shopping, use the restroom, or just take a nap. Only steps from the tram line that comes in from the Bordeaux train station, the intercontinental hotel, Opera House and shopping streets.

We have stayed here in previous occasions and the staff really put in a good effort but at this point the facility really needs attention. Carpets are stained, faded and worn. Water pressure was great but the toilet leaked. Sometimes a sewer smell wafted into the room and if we opened windows instead there is the persistent smell of cigarette smoke for outside, even at 2 in the morning.

Excellent location, William gave me some great tips on where to go nearby. Hotel is opposite the Opera House (or something like that) and the pedestrian shopping area.
Rooms are small and warm but great value for a cheeky weekend or overnight, easy access to airport tram. Will return.

Unfortunately there was mold all over the carpet. There was also water leaking from the floor. The smell in the room was unbearable. We complained about the state of the room and the staff reacted as if they didn’t know about this problem. I later discovered that there were already several complaints about mold and a very dirty overall state of the hotel on the internet. To knowingly sell rooms in this kind of state is a total embarrassment. Definitely avoid this hotel and the neighboring hotel d’opera which apparently is of the same owner and seems to have similar issues

The room was ok, basic but had a nice good onto the street below. The landing corridors looked tired and cluttered with laundry. The hotel was overall poorly decorated and presented. Thankfully we only had a one night stay in this location, we would not stay here again as it is does not represent good value for money, although the location was good.

Very convenient budget stay - really well located to the team and walkable to all desirable food and shopping neighborhoods. The carpeting and bathroom fixtures are in severe need of renovation, lending to a very downtrodden experience - however the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning strong. It’s an older hotel but for the price, location, and customer service, it was definitely worth it. Other reviews mention old carpets and it needing renovations, sure, but when in Bordeaux, you’re probably spending your days walking around the beautiful town. We had a room facing the town square, if you will, it had doubled windows so noise wasn’t an issue and it’s a hotel dating back ton1800’s.

Nice hotel in an historic building. Large room and centrally located right next to opera house. It does have an elevator. The only thing I would comment on was the condition of the carpet on the second floor made it difficult to roll our suitcases. Nice cafe downstairs. Front desk was always helpful.

The hotel may be a bit old, but it is in a very convenient location. The room is quite small and furniture may look old, but overall it is very clean, the bathroom is clean and relatively spacious. The room is with air conditioning which is important in the summer as Bordeaux can be quite hot. The reception is attentive and helpful.

What a little gem. The location is perfect for walking around the city. Wine tasting and bike tours close by plus shops and great restaurants. Rooms are small but fine for a stay in the city.

The windows looking out to the city were wide and have wonderful view of the square. The elevator is extremely old and small like a closet. Of course, they put me on the top floor. There was no in room refrigerator. It is an older hotel and has what looks like original carpet and decor. The dinner and lunch was typical and good at the restaurant attached to hotel. The trolley station was less than 1 min away.

Cannot beat the central location! Very easy access to public transportation, shopping areas, the river, Bordeaux attractions. Staff was pleasant and willing to speak English or French. Although hotel is older, rooms were up to date with regard to beds and bathrooms. We would stay there again.

This hotel is a Time Capsule. Immediately you’re back in old Bordeaux with a classic hotel feel that is lost in the century past. It’s full of character and life. Small rooms yet comfortable with AC and nice bathroom.
Everything was clean except the shower curtain which was filled with mold because the shower drained poorly. The service was excellent. The front desk was extremely accommodating.

It started badly at check-in. We were made wait for our room by front desk employee. While waiting, the same front desk employee checked in guests who came in AFTER us. I confronted him as to why he checks in guests while making us wait. He was speechless, I still don't have an explanation and I'm actually expecting one.
