Enjoyable stay, wasn’t expecting too much, but was way better than I was expecting. Was expecting it to be a run down place. Staff were excellent, cosy large enough bedroom for our short stay. Large bath towels, soft and whiter than white. Didn’t use the mini bar as was locked. But did put items between window and shutter to keep cold, worked a treat. Shower holder was a little low, but plenty of hot water. Would recommend staying here if on a budget. Would hate liked a light above the mirror in the bedroom. Plenty of sockets and warm room.

Fabulous location. Super friendly & helpful lady on reception. Swiss plugs are nit riund and are 3 pinned. She durected us to a shop where we could purchase an adapter. Again very helpful and printed out directions for the bus No. 10 to the airport. Breakfast on our first day was fine . Today no hardboiled eggs or pastries and the scrambled eggs were cold. Otherwise its rolls lovely jams cheese and ham yogurt cereal fruit juice, fruit teas and coffee - so ample choice. The rooms were super clean, lovely white fluffy towels comfy bed,nice hot powerful shower and quiet. For a short stay in Geneva its perfect.

The hotel is ideally placed just behind the main road and promenade by the Jet d’Eau. Although the hotel looks tired, the staff are very friendly and helped with transport tickets, at no extra cost. The rooms were just about spacious. The beds were very comfortable, there is a small lift or stairs and checking out was simple. This hotel even has its own road sign, by the gardin d’engleterre! It must have been a delight in its day and sure would garner more interest if it was refurbished.

Reasonable price (through a travel web site and decently in advance), clean room, working air conditioning, and good location (near the fountain and parks, near a famous square and the big church, near plenty of groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, coffee places, and gelaterias). You can’t check in until 2pm, that seemed to be form, they didn’t even check to see if a room was clean when one arrives at 11:30am or so.

The room is small and simple, with a closet, double bed, desk, TV, mini bar, and bathroom with a curtained stall-sized shower. The free WiFi worked. The room was clean. The shower had sufficient hot water. There is a slow elevator. Their breakfast seems ridiculously overpriced so didn’t do it, there are lots of great places nearby for coffee and pastries.

The area was conveniently located. Bedroom staff excellent. Desk staff took a very long time to check us in with only one person before us. When I enquired about the raise in the room rates compared to the Expedia quote he was defensive and less than polite.
The room had no coffee and the bathroom was small.

Th is hotel is rated as a three-star, and it felt like a true three-star experience. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus station, making it a convenient location.

The room was clean and well-maintained, and I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious bathroom. The hotel also has an elevator, which was helpful for handling luggage.

One thing to note is that the luggage storage is in a public area, so there is a possibility that someone could access the bags since it’s not in a secure location. However, I personally had no issues with my belongings.

Overall, it was a comfortable and well-kept hotel, and I had a good stay.

Very nice hotel and great staff and great location! Just a block or two from Lake Geneva. Just be aware that the hotel has no sparking and street parking is impossible and garages are very expensive - park at Mont Blonc Garage on the bridge a few blocks away, that has the best deals.

My room was tiny, clean and quiet with a good shower. It’s a bit past its sell by date but I quite like it. Breakfast is a Kirk’s underwhelming but there are places close by. I stayed here before in a larger room but in fact as I want spending much time in the hoteli was happy enough.

The only part of the hotel to like is the location, besides that the hotel is a sh9thole. The rooms are super old. Bathroom is small and filthy. The water doesn’t drain in the shower. I have found two blood spots that weren’t cleaned. Oh and breakfast: it was mediocre and they ran out of forks by 9am. The server said that all the forks were used so just use a spoon. To be honest Motel 6 in the middle of Wyoming was better.

The air conditioning was broken in the first room we went to (27 degrees Celsius), making it too hot to possibly sleep in. The staff let us exchange rooms, but a fuse broke and the power went out in the room. We had to exchange rooms again. We were just staying one right but had all this happen to us. There were also no charger outlets beside the bed, only at faraway corners of the rooms.

I would come here again.

The front desk went above and beyond. We asked them for some hot water and they brought up a beautiful tea set with pots and cups on a tray. The room was what we hoped for and we loved the metal privacy shade on the window.

I thought this hotel was great. Walkable location, quiet, and good amenities. The vibe is perhaps a bit dated (stereotypical British? haha), but it was clean and the room and bathroom were nice and there was daily maid service, so I had a great stay here.

Fair value for central Geneva, but overly warm.

A very reasonably priced hotel for central Geneva. Good location for the Jet D’eau, shopping and eating. Although it feels dated, the rooms were perfectly adequate and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the shower was in a peculiar place. The room was serviced everyday to a good standard. Staff were friendly. I would stay here again but for one reason - the room was exceptionally hot and it was impossible to reduce the temperature using either the aircon or radiators. This meant sleeping on top of the bed, with the windows open - and not feeling cold. Overall though, it was fair value, clean and comfortable and they are the most important things to me when travelling.

Great location, easy to get around and nice local restaurants. Had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the street.
Hotel is dated and a few inexpensive changes could make a big difference without a major refurb.
First world problems but room was really hot. Turned rad off in room but can’t control heated towel rail and other rooms. Leaving balcony doors open helped to combat.
Breakfast was a good mix with eggs, toast, fruit, pasties and yogurt.

In Geneva for a day on a family vacation. The location was budget friendly and convenient so that we could walk everywhere including to the train station. The staff were very welcoming. They provided a spot to store our gear until our room was available. They even provided hot water and cups so we could enjoy a cup of tea in our room at the end of the day.

A pleasant small hotel situated close to the lake and the old town. It's about a 15 minutes to walk to get there from the main railway station. The area it was in was quiet with a good range of restaurants within easy walking distance to choose from.
The room was small but comfortable and we slept well on the comfortable bed. The bathroom was slightly odd as the shower head was mounted about 1.3metre high....obviously this showering facility was designed with Snow Whites friends in mind!!
A breakfast buffet was included which had a good range of options to choose from.

The location of the hotel is great plus. It is near city center. You can either walk (15 - 20 minutes) or take a bus (5 - 10 minutes) to the city center. Bus 6 is so near to the hotel and takes you directly to the city center.

There also so many affordable cafes in the neighborhood where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Migros supermarket is also near and you can get almost anything there.

The area is so safe and the lake and fountain are just on the corner of the hotel. This is a huge plus as well.

The only downside is that there is no coffee/tea kettle in the room. However, you may order from room service at an affordable price.

Also not all rooms are spacious. Our room size was good, because we were upgraded :) However, not all rooms are that size.

The hotel is only rated 2 stars and not 4 stars as mentioned on your site.... I asked the staff and they told me that it is not 4 stars.

The bathroom is bad as when the water comes out and the bathroom is filled with water and there is no drainage of water and the towels are very old and there is only one box for the head and body
The room is not clean
You hear the sounds of the rooms next to you, you hear it as if it were you
There is no heat, no tea, no coffee, no water.

First, if you are looking for a fancy four star hotel, then this isn't it.

What it is is simple but decent standard, with comfortable beds, decent air conditioning (a necessity in Geneva in the summer), helpful staff, and in an ideal location (peaceful neighbourhood, but right by Jet d'Eau and close to all the sights - and near a mouette boat landing place). Would definitely stay here again, far better than being in the noise and traffic on the other side of the lake.

Don't bother with the breakfast, there are plenty of bakeries and cafes around, and on a nice day you can eat in the park or by the lake. Don't forget to ask for your free travel pass (which you get for paying the city tax) which works on the busses, trams, and mouette boats.

Great location and decent price, but that’s it. The air conditioning was broken for half our stay. The hairdryer had several rips in the tubing so that it was unusable. The pipes in the bathroom made an endless screeching sound whether on or off. We were not offered the standard Blue card for public transportation and then we’re never emailed it after asking for it. Would not stay again. Doesn’t look like it’s been updated since Churchill was last in Geneva.

The location is really good. You are right by a park, a beach ( ish) and the water jet ( 2min walk from it). Cheap supermarkets and bus stop 5 min away. You can walk to the center or get the bus . Personally it was a great deal ( as Genève is really expensive and this hotel is in a excellent location). Staff ( all) was really friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay overall. Check-in was very efficient. The room is very small, but in my opinion built for efficiency. I must say that the only thing I did not like was the fact that when I was checking out, the gentleman was extremely rude to me. He basically locked the hotel door when I was explaining to him that I had paid the hotel tax already ($4 USD for the love of god). Then no apologies at all for treating me badly at 6am when I just wanted to catch my flight. This man should be fired.

This hotel smells of old drain pipe... the condition is horrible and very old, I have stayed in a 2 stars hotel that was in much better condition than the Churchill... beds are comfortable and I had a good night sleep on the plus side, but overall I would never book in this hotel again, staff are friendly and helpful, one of the shower towels were stained in brown... ??? Could be anything.

When I checked in I was told my room was ready, when I walked in, the room door was wide open and the room was in a complete mess.

Carpets are way too dated and old... not a good experience.

I travel for work, I have been in so many hotels in my life, this hotel will be in the worse hotel experience list.

The hotel was in a great area close to old town and the ferry to cross the lake. The room and bathroom where a good size and very clean. The wifi doesn't reach the top floor which was a problem for my 25 year old son and we arrived well before check in and although the hotel was not fully booked they would not check us in early which after 24 hours of traveling was a bit disappointing.

This hotel was fairly no-frills, but that was fine. We were just looking for somewhere basic to sleep in between exploring. The staff were great, and helped whereever they could (including providing us with free tickets to use any public transport for free!). The only issues we had with this hotel was regarding our room....in the evenings, there was a horrible toilet smell. Pretty sure we knew whenever someone in an adjoining room had pooped. Also, the aircon didnt work at all, as we constantly felt like we were in a sauna. If you're after somewhere budget to get your head down though, this will work well for you.

The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel itself doesn't seem like it has been updated in a while, but it was still nice and clean. The only thing we noticed was there was a strong odor in the entry area and hallways, not sure what it was, but it didn't seem noticable in the room. We did enjoy the location, it was convenient to a lot of things and close to the lake.

Good location, tired decor

Although the hotel is not right in the City Centre it is in a convenient location close to the Jet D'Eau and other attractions. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. On a positive note the room I had was a good size with very efficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. On the negative side the decor was somewhat dated and the hotel could certainly do with some updating. However, having said that the hotel did represent good value in what is a very expensive city even by Swiss standards. The staff were very polite and helpful.
