An absolutely beautiful room in a wonderful hotel. The staff are lovely and we enjoyed a running joke about hotel parking during our stay. They have parking and it is great but I kept arriving at the same time as the tourist train was parking or broken down and other such unexpected problems. It was never a real problem and gave us the opportunity to share a joke!

I’ve stayed in Bled many times and it’s without doubt the BEST place to stay.

Very cute place. We just stayed one night but we had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Especially the duck pate and pork shank.
We had two large wooden bunk beds and a nice queen bed. Sheets and blankets we clean and comfortable. Good pillows as well. Charming decor.
Everyone was friendly.

Fantastic stay at a lovely property. We stayed on the top floor, and had amazing views of the surrounding area and castle. The room had double air conditioning, which came in very handy in such hot weather as we had. The property is a converted farm house, and has some of the rustic farmhouse style, but modern conveniences. We were traveling as a family of four, and all agreed it was the best stay of our European trip.

The room was well crafted from reclaimed lumber making it look and feel like an old Inn. Bed was comfortable but a bit firm. The room however, had a light in the small hallway controlled by a motion sensor that kept triggering the light off and on during the night. No clue as to why, but it kept waking us up. Room was also very warm and the temperature could not be conteolled because the AC was not engaged during our time there. We had to sleep with the windows wide open, but at least there were no outside noises to hinder sleep. This hotel is also a pet friendly hotel which did not work out so well for us. A dog was left in a room unattended and the dog barked contually. There is no way to contact Hotel Staff once they leave for the day other than placing an international call to a local number (no phone in room and no 800 number to call). So had to call this number, pay internation fees, only to be told there was nothing they could do about the problem, UNTIL, I mentioned how inappropriate it was for people to go out and leave their pet unattended. Then was I told that all they could do was to try and call the people to inform them their dog was barking. Not sure how it ended up but dog eventually stopped barking later in the night. Other than these specific issues, it was a good place to stay, conveniently located to Lake Bled and activities. If you purchased their breakfast, it was a good offering, not just pantries.

Staff was helpful and polite. The rooms and facilities were pristine. Location is tucked away a little (ideal) and a 5 minute walk to the lake. I had dinner at the restaurant one evening — extensive wine selection and great food. Highly recommend!

Old Bled House is a wonderful hotel. You have to know ahead of time that it's intended to remain an old Alpine setting therefore there is no elevator and all the decor is Alpine Rustic.

Good location/nice rooms - no common room

Rooms are really cute and cozy, very alpine (small storage space but not an issue for us). Walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors, esp in the morning getting ready for early departures. Bring earplugs or the hotel could provide them.

Great location, an easy walk downhill to the lake/town center - 12 min walk to the laundry facility and 5 min walk to Tale of us (best meal we had!).

Our main issue was that there is no area to get together - like a common space- during the winter except the tables outside which gets really cold. We asked the restaurant if we could have a coffee/tea before we left and they said only lunch so our group of 4 couldn’t wait for our airport pick up inside. Even though most tables were empty and there are three rooms - they could open at least one for people to sit or for tea/coffee.

Rooms have coffee /hot water machines but no coffee. Continental breakfast was extremely bare/basic, especially for Christmas Day when everything was closed.

Roq at check in was very helpful! He gave us several maps, circled recommendations and helped us find where the blessing of the horses were.

Old cellar restaurant had good food and wine when open/remember to make reservations for dinner in advance - the venison stew was delicious.

The Old Bled house is a traditional little hotel conveniently located very close to Lake Bled (5 min walk) and many dining options. The staff on site is very friendly. We booked a room under the roof with views over the lake and while the low ceiling was not very convenient for tall people like us we enjoyed the view. The wifi was spotty but I guess that’s what happens when you pick a room view on the 3rd floor away from the router.

Fantastic hotel. We had a room with a view onto Lake Bled and it was spectacular. I tried to add some photos of the views but the files are too big. The room was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful with regards to making recommendations in the local area.

My wife and I, our doggy, and my in-laws stayed at the Old Bled House for two nights. We booked the executive suite with 2 bedrooms. Our stay was fantastic. Tip: have some wine and cheese at the hotel restaurant and top it off with a local dessert. Breakfast was delicious. Customer service was excellent!! The staff was friendly and courteous. This quaint 5 guestroom hotel definitely made it to my list of absolute favorite hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a guest. The home style decor made me never wanting to leave. It had both a romantic rustic feel, along with being a great luxurious retreat for families. When we walked into our room for the first time, I turned to my husband and teased, “Let’s stop exploring and just stay here for the rest of our trip.”

The features had a cozy home feel. There were light colored wood finishes lining the ceiling and our bed. The walls were decorated with light colored wood, reddish colored bricks, and gray stone slabs. The windows had white and red flowery curtains. Everything was immaculate and comfy. The service was outstanding.

The hotel was conveniently located near Lake Bled, Bled Castle, Pustolvoski Park Bled, and other churches.

The main amenities included free WiFi, free parking, baby cribs (a necessity while traveling with babies!), and a gourmet restaurant. The restaurant on-site started serving dinner at 5 pm. All of our meals were mouthwatering and delicious.

Their Old Bled Cellar, just across from the room in the hotel where we ate dinner, offered more than 70 different Slovenian wines. The wine cellar was a perfect place to try a variety of Slovenian wines.
Everyone was friendly and accommodating. It was an all around wonderful experience.

Our stay at Old Bled House was nice. The hotels and rooms are quite charming and reminded me of Bag End in Lord of the Rings. The front of house staff were helpful, but the cleaning ladies had a weird habit of yelling to each other in the morning as they went about their work, which was quite loud and obnoxious. The breakfast was not very good at all, and not worth the €8 pp fee. However, don’t miss out on the restaurant in the basement. It does a fantastic four course tasting menu, and it was the best meal we had in Bled.

My one complaint is the shower. Otherwise it was a nice stay, very comfortable. But the shower head does not have a “hook” so you have to hold it the entire time. For a pregnant lady that’s just not very relaxing. I was disappointed in that, such a simple thing that would have made a huge difference in our comfort level.

A 5 minutes walk to Lake Bled but worth it for the local charm. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was lovely with rooftop terrace. Staff very helpful in recommending restaurants and activities. Big breakfast is 8 Euro extra but worth it. We had a little trouble finding it with GPS and recommend you get directions from them. Gravel drive up from the main road.

Hotel is in a great location, although a little hard to find. You have to go up a dirt/gravel road which is easy to miss- we circled the block 3 times before realizing that we kept passing it. It’s very cute. Our room was small, but perfect for what we needed. Very clean. Staff were very nice. Our room was very warm and stuffy but we were told the AC was turned off for the winter. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Old Bled House

We really enjoyed our time in Old Bled House. Ana and all the rest of the staff were very welcoming. It is in a lovely old house with (I think) 13 rooms. Our room was spacious and had a comfortable four-poster bed. The room was very clean and we appreciated the fridge and kettle. It is an easy five-minute walk into the town or to Lake Bled. It is, however, hard to find initially (up a gravel track off the main road). There is a bit of room for improvement in two areas: first, there wasn't much choice at breakfast (we were both given boiled eggs without asking for them despite neither of us able to eat eggs. The meat and cheese platter was good, though), although the lady cooking it was nice. Secondly, you had to hold the shower up yourself in our room. These were, however, minor details compared to our overall very good impression of Old Bled House. We would stay again.

An inn, not a hotel

Old Bled House was our first night of a month-long trip to the Balkans area, and after a long rain delay, we were tired and grumpy. Old Bled House changed all that. Such a beautiful and welcoming place to lay our weary heads, and get back on our feet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast (8 Euros) was delicious and promptly available. The manager, Ana, was a delight. The town of Bled is very beautiful (and/but touristy), and everything was easy to walk to. We loved Old Bled House, and highly recommend it.

Truly magnificent, unique hotel

Beautiful rooms, you really feel like you are in a fairytale mountain lodge.

Super comfy beds and the bedding smelt so freshly laundered the whole 4 nights we stayed.

We had room 2 - deluxe junior suite - which has a large terrace to enjoy and two double bedrooms, ideal for a family.

We used the Mercado and the bakery a few minutes walk away for our breakfasts as we were able to use the room fridge for milk, the kettle for tea and coffee etc. The tap water is drinkable and very fresh tasting.

Lovely location tucked in a private little lane in the heart of Bled.

The staff was so helpful and friendly and made some excellent dinner recommendations, helped us with transfers and anything else we wanted to know.

We travelled as a family of 3 with our 10 year old and she loved the hotel too. We wIll be back!

Beautiful renovation of the building. Central location so close to lake and cafes. Great shower but door opens into the shower which makes it difficult to get around the door to close it. WiFi problems the entire time we were there. Most likely a internet company problem but since there is never any one at the front desk we couldn’t ask anyone about the issue

Charming hotel

A really charming hotel and excellent staff to ensure your stay was comfortable . The room was small but well equipped and had tea making facilities. Everything about the hotel from room decor to service felt as if they cared about your stay. Great location ( if a little tricky to initially find) and jtstca few minutes walk down to the lake.

Hidden and quiet,yet near the activity

Lovely place but a little hard to find. Look for the white gravel road off of the Main Street. Within walking distance to shops and lake.

All the staff we extremely helpful and attentive during our stay and always went the extra mile.

While the whole property was beautiful, the room we stayed in was stunning. We absolutely loved the attention to detail. The wooden feel to the room makes you feel like you've rented a sweet little cottage

We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. It's within a great location, only five minutes walk to the lake and right by an amazing bakery, while still being in a quiet area where you can truly relax.

Very Nice B&B Near Lake Bled

This was an enjoyable stay in a marvelous old house transformed into a modern hotel with all amenities you would expect in the 21st century. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They even offered to make a reservation for dinner in my name. They had fast free internet, which is usually not the case for these smaller hotels/motels.

Beautiful Old Bled House!

The visit was lovely from the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by Ana. She was completely welcoming and told me all of the information that I needed for a great stay in Bled Lake.

The room was spacious and absolutely charming... it was a very comfortable visit.
