Overall a very clean hotel and staff were so lovely and helpful! Only thing I would have to say about the room was that the balcony door was slightly broken and kept opening at the top as I think part of the hinge was off meaning bugs kept getting into the room. Thankfully not a lot of them did get in but was a bit annoying having to keep removing them. Other than that the room was very clean and was perfect- had everything you could need!

First of all the property is outdated however is clean. The staff some need training on hospitality. The restaurant staff were nice and also the manager on checkout. However the person who checked me in and later during the stay was rude and not accommodating. Felt like a bother.

Lovely 120 year old hotel. Our room (303) did not have a view. Not even a window. Just a skylight so disappointing since the hotel looks at the lake. Clean and very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Steep hill to walk to the lake. Very exquisite evening meal. $$$$
Parking can be a challenge but a lovely quiet location across from Bled town. Great staff.

The view was beautiful and the staff were lovely! The food was also good. The rooms themselves were worn down - the mattress was awful, the shower would go from very hot to very cold and the balcony door was broken as well as hair in the shower upon arrival. The view is beautiful and this as well as the staff is the major selling point. I’d recommend for a one to two night stay but not for a longer period.

Beautiful & Quiet, on the other side of the lake.

Away from the traffic & tourists in the downtown area, but still close enough to walk to the town center- or ride the train. It’s a 10 minute walk down a hill to the promenade around the lake. This is a smaller, older hotel; many lovely sitting areas filled with antiques. Many rooms have balconies with varying views. Facilities are in excellent condition and very clean. Front desk staff will help schedule activities such as a massage in the Spa, horseback riding, taxi, etc. The restaurant is very nice (Michelin recommended) but with a limited dinner menu. Room includes made-to-order breakfast in the restaurant at a table overlooking the lake; guests choose items from an excellent menu. My only complaint involved a couple with a boisterous 3 yr old who was constantly screaming wherever they were in the hotel- but nothing staff could do about that.

This is a beautiful old hotel in a spectacular location with every room having a fabulous view of the lake and the church on the island; very clean, charming staff, lovely large bedroom and good bathroom; BUT. we had the hardest bed we have ever had AND for the three nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) we were staying, there was no bar and no restaurant functioning for anything other than breakfast. This is true every week and is not just a one-off. No nearby restaurants; you have to drive several miles to Bled town. Really the hotel felt closed down. The much promoted \"Fine Dining\" restaurant \"1906\" only opens for Wed - Saturday. Be careful which nights you book.

Quiet Stay with Great Food

We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is very quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. One of the highlights was the excellent restaurant with beautiful views of Lake Bled. The breakfast was also a standout, with plenty of options and good quality.

However, the rooms themselves were quite basic—nothing particularly special. The bathroom, in particular, was poorly designed. If you're tall or from North America, you might struggle with the shower layout, as it’s difficult to avoid getting water everywhere.

If you're looking for a quiet retreat with good food and scenic views, this is a good option.

Nice to stay away from the Lake Bled mayhem. Up above the lake, great view of the church and easy access via the local road to the beach & lake. Breakfast was great! The staff was wonderful and the menu offered a a wide range of options, and we were able to try multiple local options.

We would stay here again, since we found the local road past the train station to take us down to the restaurant, beach, row boats and campground. This route avoids all the Lake Bled traffic :-)

What wasn't great? 1) The Bed(s). They were hard and very uncomfortable. 2) The patio door was missing the unlock level, so only one side opened. 3) Parking can be a little tricky if you arrive late in the evening.

If you have kids or teens, you may want to stay closer to the lake. If you are looking for a little piece and quiet, a great view and easy access to everything. This is where I would stay :-)

This hotel is a real gem. We had a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of the lake. We never had dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and all delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We also each had a Triglav Massage which was amazing. It’s a short walk down to the lake (though it’s uphill on the way back) - approx. 30min walk by the lake into town. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I would suggest you offer another menu to the 1 you have, as an additional for those who don’t have discerning taste. You may find more guests stay for dinner, therefore giving your staff, you are already paying, more to do, more $’s back to the hotel and happier guests who want to stay there for the experience.

The views and spa facilities were awesome. Well worth the trip right there. Parking can be a problem but always worked for us. There is a great walk down to the lake but if you want anything else, like lunch or a dinner that is not a set course, you really need to drive. But again - great views.

The walk to the town is about 25 mins and the return is up a steep hill so may not be for everyone

Bled was a convenient stop on our road trip to Italy; I choose Hotel Triglav Bled for its proximity to the lake and for the nice onsite restaurant. I was disappointed. All sites advertise this hotel emphasizing the restaurant and the location. False information! The location is serene and quiet, which is a plus, but most other hotels in this price range are right on the lake. Steep walk to get to the lake from this hotel. The location did not bother me, but it should be noted that it is different than you might think per site info, web search and reviews.
My bad rating is based on the poor service we received. We arrived at 7 pm and I planned on having a nice dinner. I was told that the restaurant was fully booked and could not accommodate us (party of 2). We never received any information that advance booking was necessary. We were not offered even a drink, an appetizer nor a recommendation to other nearby restaurants. The refusal was blunt and unreasonable. There were no smiles, no information on the area, no options. Service was basically nonexistent. After walking around the lake and seeing numerous great dining options, nice restaurants, nice hotels right on the lake I regretted booking this hotel. Triglav Bled was a frustrating experience for over 600 USD/night. Not a 4 start by any means. Not up to US standards. Not friendly, not welcoming, not reasonable.

A tree blocked my view of the island. The hotel has allowed a few trees to grow so large and tall that the block some rooms’ views of the island. While I could see some of the lake, that one thing that makes lake bled so special - the island - was completely blocked. I can to this hotel and paid a premium price for one reason. We just finished an amazing 3 night stay at hotel Triglav. We were in a 3rd floor room with a balcony that had spectacular views of the lake and also the mountains. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely sign up for the wine tasting- it was only euro 35 for a 2 hour session and Daniel was amazing!

Don’t underestimate the steepness of the hill to get up to the property from the lake- we walked from the bus station all the way there with all our bags- fortunately we are in shape and just barely made it.

We would absolutely stay here again.

The view over Lake Bled is stunning, both from a room with a balcony and from the restaurant. The breakfast menu is hugely varied and probably the best hotel breakfast selection I have experienced. The large indoor swimming pool is also a treat.

Most restaurants were closed last weekend due to Covid-19 (March 13th...), but the hotel still prepared us high quality and delicious food. There were only 8 guests there during my stay; instead of providing simple breakfast, the hotel still managed to prepared us breakfast buffet with variety of choices and excellent presentation. I am really thankful for their professionalism!

Every aspect of our stay at the hotel was amazing, from the time we arrived we were so warmly greeted by yuri and had such a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast is great too with the AMAZING views! Hot tip: make sure to pick the rooms with the view of lake bled. Being able to wake up to it each day was one of the highlights of our trip :))

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and good at their jobs. The hotel position is a little out of town and although it’s walkable into an area with restaurants it’s a good 30 min walk. The hotel has an old original style which is inkeeping but lacks some of the basics for a 4 star requiring a £230/£250 a night price tag. The beds are old and hard and the quilts and pillows require replacing e.g the quilt was so flat and had no bounce to it due to repeatable washing. The spa had an old pool area with a couple of relaxing beds but nothing luxurious, no additional towels or a range of drinks apart from some mint tea. There is no bar as such, there is a room where waiter service can be provided but it felt unwelcoming.

Great location, but rooms a bit old-fashioned

The Triglav Hotel is in a very good location overlooking the lake - beautiful view for breakfast! Quieter than being in Bled town, while at the same time being only about 20-25 minutes walk away. Public areas are very nice, staff friendly and helpful, but the rooms themselves are quite old-fashioned and, in my opinion, could do with refurbishing soon.

The hotel is one of the old Grand hotels from a kinder time period. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff is extremely friendly and will help you plan any activities you may need during your stay. They have an excellent breakfast buffet and there restaurant is considered to be one of the best in Bled. it is located right across from the train station so if you don't have a car it is easy to get to.
