The staff were lovely and the facilities were delightful. To walk round the Lake then have a sauna or fun in the pools is a real treat. It was very busy as it was school holidays which we didn’t realise. The buffet restaurant is also a great offering. Huge variety.

Wonderful hotel, beautifully located. Make sure you book Lake View!
Very happy that we did go at this time of the year. Lake Bled is beautiful in the Winter, not just in the summer. We could walk and eat anywhere quietou and romantically around the lake!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff was very friendly and the hotel overall is beautiful. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The poolarea is a bit old and pretty noisy. We went to the saunas (which cost 25€ per person per day extra) and this area was way better so we stayed there most of the time.

Our stay here was very nice, the perfect view of the lake and castle especially with a lake view room. Definietly worth paying extra for one of those rooms. Very easy to walk down to the lake and into Bled. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was one of the lifts didn’t work, therefore everyone at the hotel relied on the one lift.

This hotel called itself a Wellness Hotel
Focusing on health , balance and wellness.
Once you enter the lobby is pumped full of a perfumed scented air. Awful! For those with scent allergist is is terrible breathing environment. Just not clean or fresh air.
We booked a suite with a balcony. Hoping to enjoy fresh alpine air. Once we opened the balcony doors it was all cigarette smoke!
Again making the balcony, view and entire experience unusable to us. It was toxic!
Not the wellness experience we thought we where getting at a hotel advertised it as being a healthy option.

Nice size rooms and comfortable bed. Remote didn't work and was never fixed (or replaced) despite asking front desk about it. One of the elevators didn't work so wait times to get up/down. Card to the spa only worked about half the time, but the staff was nice/helpful to replace each time. The spa area is nice, with pools and a jacuzzi. Lots of family/kids running around so for a solo traveler not the best atmosphere. In a great area, short walk to the lake and food options.

Really enjoyed access to aquatic centre on ground floor. Stunning view of Lake from balcony. Ordered room service the first night and it was sensational. Location is good for walking around the lake but slightly tricky if you need to return to the bus station with heavy luggage. Our experience with taxis in Bled was they were hard to find and unreliable. Was left stranded a couple of times and had to walk. Overall though, highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Rikli Balance Hotel. It’s worth (if you can) opting for a Lake view - as it is spectacular. Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was amazingly well organised and reasonable @ 10 Euros per day. Pool/Spa area is big and wasn’t too busy when we went.

Hot food could have been better, lots of fried eggs on a plate which would have been better cooked fresh to order as per the very nice omelettes.

Brilliant location in Bled, staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were of a good quality with local decor displayed in the rooms and throughout the hotel being a nice touch.

Only negative being that the A/C was not the best. I had it on the lowest setting for the entire time throughout my stay and the room temperature was still extremely humid.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a beautiful view of the lake. It was in a great area very near the lake close to shops and restaurants. The staff was very kind and helpful and there were several swimming pools and a spa. The buffet breakfast was awesome and included an omelette bar. My only problem with this place we had to leave.

We stayed at the end of May and the hotel had NO A/C and the rooms were very hot at night. Also, Very small room, I could barely fit in the shower. No fitness center and the lobby was unremarkable- no place to sit and see the beautiful lake. It had a ski lodge vibe lacked any charm. It was more of a family hotel not a luxury hotel. The staff was not helpful. No place to get coffee before the restaurant opened at 7am. I would NOT recommend this hotel there are many more charming places with more character.

We had such a lovely stay here, all of the staff were extremely welcoming & helpful. Our room was massive, clean and had everything we needed. The spa was lovely, although you do have to pay extra to use the sauna which was a bit unexpected and would have liked to be included in the price of the stay.

Good location although either a climb up stairs or around the back up the road - potentially not great for guests with limited mobility (although could drive right up).

The bar was nice but could do with some additional cocktail options :)

The staff peole were very cold et non good for service information. The clean wasn’t make when we came back from excursion for the dinner one night. They never say they were sorry .
They act like robot, no sympathy.They charge for all services and they don’t propose restaurants or special activities.

A lovely hotel, very comfortable bed, great facilities and breakfast. We had a lake view room with balcony and the views were picture perfect. Could watxh that view for hours!!!
The only minor criticism was how hot the rooms were. Having travelled around Europe, we have experienced this before but the hotel was in winter mode to keep it heated. Air conditioning isnt available until later in the year. The lady on reception advised us to keep the balcony door open to air the room. The area was perfectly quiet so this worked well.
Would recommend this hotel and would return again.

Communal areas and rooms are lovely, and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Location is great - it’s elevated a bit from the lake so there are great views. The best hotel we have ever stayed at!

From the moment we entered the hotel and smelt the alpine essential oils, we knew we had made the right choice. We arrived before our check-in time and the lovely people at reception (extremely informative and attentive) went out of their way to allow us to check in early so we could see the incredible sights of Bled as soon as possible. When we checked in, we received a €10 voucher each towards any treatment worth €80 or more.

Our lake view room was very well equipped (only missing an iron) and was exceptionally clean. The bed and furniture were all extremely comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and a good size and there was ample space in the wardrobes. Our balcony had fantastic, unobstructed views of Lake Bled and the surrounding areas.

Breakfast was delicious. A range of local products to try with the usual breakfast items.

The spa and pool areas were of an excellent standard. There were plenty of pools and jacuzzis to choose from, allowing for a peaceful swim. Everything in the pool and spa area was spotless.

The treatment area was spacious and serene, with refreshments on offer before and after one of the best massages we've ever had.

Overall, we can't recommend this hotel enough. Every single staff member was polite, accommodating and just wonderful. The attention to detail in the hotel was second to none, our entire experience was smooth, relaxing and enjoyable. We simply cannot wait to return to the Rikli Balance Hotel.

We loved this hotel, location and the staff, but booked it for a wellness point of view which we did not get.

There is no wellness area, there are several
pool areas which were chaotic with guest from the hotel and external. Lots of children everywhere. There isn’t a specific spa area just treatment rooms and the saunas were out of use due to a fire.

It is however a lovely hotel and great place to stay but nothing relaxing about it.

A very nice hotel BUT please note there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. The front desk stated it is an ecological hotel and they save energy. So while they have a/c it is inefficient at best and my experience was non-existent. They offered me a fan as the best they could do. Other than that a very nice place.

This hotel is in a good position for lake Bled, only a 5 minute walk to the lake. A good base for travelling around, however, traffic around the area is usually very heavy. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The grassed area by the side of the car park would benefit from some seating. The rooms were clean but not serviced too well daily. I would say the hotel only just reaches 4 star.

Our lake view room was absolutely beautiful and we felt very comfortable here, however the cost of the stay was extremely high and we were a little bit let down by the chaos at breakfast and the general busy vibe which we were not expecting from what we thought would be a relaxing spa hotel. The swimming areas were equally chaotic with children playing etc and this was not the impression we got upon booking as the photos show a very calm spa hotel vibe.

Air conditioning simply did not work. I would not stay here if the outside temperature was anywhere in the mid-20’s or above.

Staff adjusted the thermostat when we go to the room, again when we complained after the first night and were unable to deliver a fan that they committed to providing. Clearly an issue they were aware off across all rooms based on responses. Unhelpful.

I took the mattress off the bed and slept on the balcony. That is not a joke. Room may have been 32 degrees.

5 stars for having a balcony big enough to fit a mattress…

Loved the overall property. Rooms pretty nice although the A/C is not strong enough so our room was too hot every night. The hotel is huge with lots of wellness except no gym which is odd when they have spa, 4 pools etc. one thing needs attention is breakfast. The 2 coffee machines are either too slow or they need another one. Every morning there is a queue for the machines and that means people getting in each others way trying to walk around breakfast. Also the toaster is terrible and takes forever. Small things that can make a difference.

Air conditioning didn’t function properly in either room. We reported but not interested. Bathroom awkward as door opens inwards, shower poor,housekeeping average, not interested in sorting room, had to ask for towels, toilet rolls etc. breakfast buffet poor, tinned fruit etc eggs omelettes and waffles good. Pool area and slide very good but they let in loads of kids about 6pm and was busy and unpleasant. Need to use am and early afternoon.Had to pay 10 euros per day parking and then they opened to public 30 euros for a few hours so a struggle to park. Needs paint, new carpets, weeds removed from gutters. The location was good however near to lake and everything needed, just a very average stay

Very clean and great location and we really enjoyed the pool in the late afternoons.
Bedrooms were very comfortable and we also made good use of the breakfasts.
A few issues we had were the fridge was broken in our room and air con could have been stronger. There was also times where staff were not very friendly and not always wanting to help. This was not always the case as some people we spoke to were really good but on the last day I had to carry my partners bags down as he was out and staff at the reception desk just stared at me as I struggled with the bags. Small things like this I found frustrating but overall a good visit.

What a place! The hotel was excellent. The room was spacious, modern, well planned and the attention to detail was clear.
The facilities at the hotel were fantastic. Shame the sauna isn’t included but we enjoyed using both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as seating area and even the flume!
Situated in the perfect location, not too far from the lake or the many restaurants.
The staff at reception were exceptionally helpful, informative, friendly and went above and beyond.

We would absolutely return to both Bled and this hotel.

Beautiful lobby & was definitely worth paying for the view of the lake for my room.

Definitely some things that could be improved. Eggs at breakfast were usually cold, so I suggest you get the omelette.
Staff at breakfast varied. The women seemed to work quickly to clear the tables (often there weren’t enough in the mornings for all the guests due to corporate events that reserved tables at breakfast time). The male staff were slow to clear tables and spent most of time time talking with each other instead of preparing more tables. I’d also recommend you have more tables set up at breakfast time for 1 or 2 people. Most travelers seem to be in couples but you only have tables for 4 set up which is not as useful.
WiFi is terrible- so I hope you don’t need to use it when you stay.
When it rains, pool area leaks. Not the end of the world as you’re in the pool section but did mean people had to walk around the drips or love their chairs.
Pool area access with a key card makes sense, but I had trouble exiting every time I tried to leave. Had to have a member of staff use their staff card to let me out- which would have been fine if there was a member of staff at the desk, but they were usually over chatting with the staff at the wellness area.
I had a DND sign on my door one day, and still had someone knock and use their card to enter my room. I went to the door and said ‘no housekeeping today please’. They entered anyway and said they had to check my price list for mini bar.

The value for the property is my main issue. Expect to be up charged for everything. They don’t even provide lotions or anything spa related in the room. They charge extra for the sauna and the hours are very limited (opens at noon! And closes early). Spa is more of an add on than a hotel experience. the breakfast was good and so was the location. Only recommend the lake view rooms otherwise your room overlooks a parking lot. The woman kindly offered an upgrade at check in but for a surcharge. Lots of children and walls are very thin.

Lovely stay here with 2 kids (4 & 6). Staff were lovely, breakfast extensive and delicious. Kids loved the pool and spent hours on the slide, though it exits to deep water so needed supervision. It was a 3 minute walk to the lake which is just beautiful.

They were even helpful a few days after we had checked out to go to another area with storing luggage while we used the pool on our final day.

A beautiful hotel with great food, service and comfort. Definitely recommend the lake view balcony rooms on the top floors, stunning views of the lake! The spa is huge and great for relaxation, it was empty most times we visited too! The half board option is recommended, the buffet food was excellent including rotisserie chicken, fillet steak, mussels, salmon and langoustines as well as unlimited ice cream and a lovely salad bar. I'll definitely be back!

Hotel rooms, spa and location were fantastic. Service was mixed. Was told by front desk staff there was no food available in town (all groceries and restaurants were closed) when arrived at 21:20pm and was starving. Funny enough thankfully was able to buy a sandwich from their own bar so it was bizarre that a few steps away at the front desk was told nothing was available. I also noticed the next day all other restaurants in town are open until 10. The breakfast and buffet quality and selection overall was great. I also have a food allergy and they were extra careful and accommodating to point out what I could eat safely. For dinner, it’s a bit awkward. It is Buffett only and have to order drinks (even tap water) and pay separately- which is odd and a bit inconvenient. They should better explain how dinner works when you check in as that would have been helpful and aided our decisions.

1. Air conditioner, it was not cool enough even it was mid May. The room temperature was set 23 degrees that was a bit high for sleeping and daytime.
2. The shower pressure is weak for avoid making the bathroom floor wet due to having no shower door installed.

If you like a hotel mainly for tour groups and mediocre food, the Sava Hotel-run Rikli Balance hotel is for you. It advertises itself as being green and sustainable. The infrastructure does as with furnishings and recycling. But the food doesn't live up to the 2022 green award that it is supposed to have received. Instant coffee pockets in rooms, canned fruit cocktail salad, and overcooked, boiled veges showing up in buffets. Sava Hotel management can certainly do better than this if it wants to keep its reputation and live up to the spirit of Rikli. That's the challenge to their creativity.

Modern renovations - but with a 1-star soul.

Despite tasteful and modern renovations the hotel tries so hard to be a 1-star property. The decent hard product is so poorly let down by terrible service. All aspects of the soft product seem to be defined by stinginess.

I have never encountered such unhappy reception staff worldwide - a poor reflection of otherwise wonderful Slovenian hospitality encountered everywhere else in the country. Reception staff are bothered by mere existence of guests - whether at check-in, asking for recommendations, or asking about hotel facilities. The only \"smile\" (at best a smirk) was seen when checking out.

Expect one-word replies to any queries- getting any further information would be like pulling teeth. When asking receptionist about bike-rental facilities at the hotel, was sharply told that bike rental was only available to hotel guests despite clearly being a hotel guest myself.

Made the terrible mistake of forgetting my keycard in the room one day. When asking for a replacement card, was scolded loudly \"Why, where is your key?!\" After establishing that the key was just left behind in the room and not lost, receptionist finally and begrudgingly cut a new keycard.

Bathroom only stocks 3-in-1 hand/body/hair liquid soap.

Finally, despite unseasonably warm weather in Bled, aircon was completely shut off with no possibility of turning on, and when inquiring about this was sarcastically told \"if you feel hot just go out\".

Hardly the 4* Sup property the hotel claims to be.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The lake view from our view was amazing and very impressive. The spa was a lovely experience and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool option.

Some small things would have made our experience better including the room clean. Some things were missing like a glass not being replaced etc but other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Fabulous Hotel

Fabulous clean hotel, great food, great service and super helpful staff.
Great views in a great location only 5 mins walk from the lake.
The pool and wellness centre were amazing and recommended the massages after all the walking !
