Pros: very good range of foods for breakfast in a really lovely restaurant, very helpful and friendly receptionist on duty in the afternoon and evening. Nice terrace though it's by the road.
Cons: the first room we had did have a view of the lake but over an ugly concrete shopping centre and the room was cramped. We moved to a bigger room but the bed was very hard and the shower was over the bath with no screen or curtain. There was a drainage smell from the Jacuzzi bath. The rooms definitely need refurbishing to bring it up to deserve a 4* rating.
We went into the pub but it was cold and uncomfortable with the TV blaring showing tennis. We went into the grill which wasn't as nice as the restaurant and the service wasn't great.
By comparison to two other 4* hotels we stayed in whilst in Slovenia this was not up to their standard sadly.

The hôtel is in a great location but it is in need of an update . The furniture, the decoration all the surroundings inside are dated, the beds are not comfortable at all , it was like sleeping in a hammock, the rooms are small, so is the bathroom . Does not deserve to be placed higher than à 3 star hôtel and I say this just because it has restaurant I was very disappointed for the price I payed

Great location so close to the lake & surrounding restaurants, bars etc. Pillows were lumpy and you had to slam the room door for it to close which was annoying. Rooms were a little tired & beds not comfortable but pleased to have the balcony even though our view was boring. Free car parking was nice, staff & breakfast was also nice enough. Rooms & bedding need some rejuvenation.

The hotel lists as waterfront and lake view. There is no lake view and it’s a block from the lake. The staff is not friendly. My daughter broke her foot and they seemed put out when we asked for ice. After we checked out, they told us that there was another room under my name that I had to pay for, which we did not stay in. Very strange. Then, as I’m loading my daughter with the broken foot into the van with my 2 grandchildren not only did they not ask if I needed help but just wanted to know if I could hurry up and leave as they needed my parking space. It was at this time that they asked me to pay for a room I didn’t stay in. Would not recommend. Though the restaurant, The Grill, was wonderful!

The property has a good central location only a couple of minutes from the lakeside. The lakeview rooms have views of both the castle and the island but be aware this is not a waterfront property and there is a supermarket between the hotel and the lake. The view is still very nice but don't expect perfection.
The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had to leave before 7am on our final day and it was no trouble for them to prepare us a takeaway breakfast.
So of the bathroom fitting were old and worn but everything was still functional.

This was a nice hotel in Bled about a block from the lake. There were good views of the lake from the room balcony too. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were nice. The bed was very firm. It is a good choice for staying at Lake Bled.

Location is important, but my stay at Hotel Lovec was largely uncomfortable. I stayed 5 nights in mid-April and the room was quite warm, and bedding heavy. Despite it being spring, the heat was still on and there was no option to use a/c and there was no fan. I had a balcony (second floor lake view was a stretch - I mostly saw the parking garage) but leaving the door open meant smoke wafting in and noise.

The room was pretty basic, but spacious. The bathroom was tiny and shower so small if you moved you hit the big faucet, leading to the water pressure blasting or scalding me many times.

The breakfast was a bright spark - really huge options and all delicious. I partially booked due to the onsite spa and enjoyed my massage there.

I wonder if other properties in Bled are also aging like this one - my stay would have been much better if I could have cooled the room off. Bled is amazing so I leave happy but this was not the stay I'd hoped for.

The service and location was perfect. Walkable to food, bus and transport hub and most importantly the beautiful Lake Bled. The free breakfast was excellent -very high end. Room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint -and it’s small - was that the inky AC was a portable unit that was noisy and more like a fan. We preferred having the window open since it was cool outside but the street noise was then a bit loud. Otherwise, we would absolutely stay again!

The hotel was amazing from the moment we arrived AMEL helped us get everything set up and even went out of his way to insure the sofa bed was made and ready for us to crash, the breakfast buffet was great, we are traveling across Europe and stopped to do the zip line tour, and found this gem of a hotel.
The hot and swimming pool were a life saver we would us them the facilities, everyday and it was very relaxing, after a hard day of playing and a few drinks at the local pub

Family of 4, with 2 young children. It is a great hotel for children, the use of two pools and the buffet breakfast and dinner were priceless. Location is great too.
Only thing is that room was a little date, as well as pool facilities. We were charged also for the infant's cot, albeit only €5.
Staff were brilliant, i cant fault them.
Parking is very limited, i would imagine in peak season that might be an issue, however as we visited off season, we had no problems finding a place.

The other aspects we found frustrating were that the room was so hot! The first evening there it was roasting, found it hard to sleep! But again the staff were great and even though the air conditioning couldn’t be turned on, they made the effort to supply a portable air con machine which took the heat off a bit which ultimately meant our baby could then sleep peacefully!

In summary, hotel was okay, I’d be open to staying somewhere else if based upon hotel, but wouldn’t as the staff deserve all the praise and would ultimately be the reason as to why I would stay again and recommend to other people visiting!

I wanted to love this property but in the end just couldn't. Great location, great breakfast, great balcony tub overlooking the lake that was perfect for the romantically inclined. The AC, however, was a farce. We were okay in late September with the balcony door open but I wouldn't want to be in that room in the summer. Wholesale water outage for one day of our stay and finally, inexplicably charged 34 Euros for a 28 Euro bottle of wine, according to the menu. Double check all bills. Enough parking during shoulder season if you were there before 4pm but would likely be difficult in the summer. Overall our stay was okay but we weren't blown away.

We parked the car in the underground car park which was great, a bit tight but completely safe. Check in was friendly and helpful and our room (204 I think) had a balcony and views over the lake. The room was a good size with a desk to work at and a large bathroom with full sized towels! Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a good variety of food and attentive staff. The hotel was in a great location just a few minutes walk from the lakeside promenade. I would have rated the hotel 5 stars but the internet was so poor I had to use my phone as a hotspot to get any work done - when I did manage to connect I got less than one bar of signal and this disconnected after a few minutes.

We had an overall good experience at this hotel with good breakfast. The only complaint we had was that in the middle of summertime’s hot and humid temperatures, their air conditioner is not blowing cold air. We brought this up with the front desk, unfortunately, it seemed like their AC really had a problem. Other than that, everything was good.

We stayed for 5 nights. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. It is in a great location, just steps from the lake. But, we felt like we were getting the runaround from the front desk staff. We asked to be moved to a higher floor. We were told to check back the next day. When we asked the next day they told us we couldn’t change because we were staying too long! We also had some issues with the TV. We checked every day to see if the repairman has been called…we were told no at first because maintenance would fix it. Then we were told that the repairman was not available. Then, on our last day we were told that the issue could not be resolved. We guessed that they just didn’t want to bother. It was disappointing and as a result, I would not recommend this hotel. We will not stay here again.

The views are great. Staff sucks. Our air conditioner was broken. We asked them yo either fix it or give us a new room. They couldn’t fix it and didn’t seem to want to give us a new room, so they asked us to open the window instead. That meant light coming in the room all night and all sorts of noises. We couldn’t sleep at all. Changed hotels next day.

The good: excellent location, convenient to the main area of Lake Bled. Parking is included. Which is superior to most of the other hotels in this location. However, the parking is flawed, as the lot is very small. However, when the lot was full, we were easily able to park at the nearby very large lot at its sister hotel, Hotel Kompas.

The bad: the air conditioning was broken. We were told that there was nothing they could do, sorry. Upon arrival, the temperature was so hot, my glasses were fogging over, just sitting in the room. Fortunately, the local temperatures cooled off the next day, but it was very uncomfortable. The room was advertised as air conditioned. We were not the only one, as we overhead at least one other guest with the exact same complaint (when you turn on the AC, it only blows very hot air).

The room was clean, but small, and outdated. For example, there was a crazy door separating the bedroom from the foyer, which could not actually be opened because it would hit the bed. Why is there a door that cannot be opened or closed?

The breakfast was excellent!

The view was present but disappointing. Booked as a balcony with a view, this second floor room had mostly a view of the (convenient but busy) shopping center, with a little bit of the lake above it.

We actually stayed at Hotel Kompas because Lovec was under construction. But our room was fitted with Lovec toiletries and we had dinner at Hotel Lovec. They were a stones throw apart. the staff at Kompas made our stay so comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable friendly.

The property is in an excellent location as you are not far from lake bled (less than 3 minute walk) and close to all amenities. It is also close the bus station about 10 minutes walk. Good WiFi, clean room and I like the fact that it has a seating area on each floor so you can chill without always sitting in your room.
Has a pool too but makes the open places smell of chlorine and the room was hot.

Issue with AC ..air at lowest setting was hotter than outside. Hesitated opening windows as no screens and only on second floor..mosquitos still an issue this time of year. During first night hotel sent up extra fan. Second day, maintenance looked at it and called it fixed. Same performance...was moved to new room but same issue. Relented and opened windows. Staff member went up next day and agreed that system was not working way it should in multiple rooms. Manager provided wife and I a comp dinner at hotel next door due to issue We were here in Oct, if issue happens in summer, it would be bad.

Lovely hotel, centrally placed in Bled. Helpful friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast and a superb swimming pool and jacuzzi. Our room had its own jacuzzi bath, which was lovely, although hadn’t been used for a while and dirt came out of the jets. There is only limited parking but additional parking at their sister hotel. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was in a great location with lovely views of the lake. Rooms were quite outdated. We visited on a hot weekend and the air conditioner was very poor and was leaving a damp smell in the room. Be aware as well that we were required to park in a public lot for too days and it was very expensive (more than 80 euros).

The room was very good (beds, balcony, bathroom), updated and comfortable. The breakfast, food and staff, were also very good. The big disappointment was the spa area. On our first day it was very good, the different sauna cabinets operating well (Finnish included a bucket herb-infused water with ladle), there were plenty of clean sheets and towels, cold and hot water (and tea) decanters for drinking, the jacuzzi and jets in the pool functioning. What a difference a day makes. On our last full day we had the opposite experience. No towels, no drinking waters, Finnish sauna not prepared, jacuzzi only working intermittently, the jets in the pool, not at all. We went to the front desk, where the woman told us they were too busy checking in new customers but all would be made right in the saunas and pool area soon. Never happened. That was just a big brush-off. We did use the sauna and pools for an hour and half and nothing was done. As we left, one of the rickety lounge chairs actually collapsed under a woman lying on it.

The property was very close to the lake which was awesome. Some of the staff were very nice others were a bit less so, though some of it may be due to language barriers. Showed up in a rainstorm, tV didn’t work, asked if they could come program it. Lady on staff said she would let maintenance know. They showed up a few hours later, said he didn’t have what he needed would be back. Never came back asked the next day still no fix. Stayed 2 nights tv still never worked even on the day we left. Didn’t matter too much as the sights around bled are awesome, but sucked being stuck in the room during afternoon rainstorms.

Comfortable hotel with an excellent location close to the lake. The rooms are air conditioned, but the bathroom was quite small. Mine was one with just a shower unit, and it was a very cramped shower unit. The room could also be cleaner. There were stains on the floor and a chocolate wrapper on the balcony. I don’t think they attempted to clean our room on the second day of our stay either. The breakfast buffet was excellent, though. There was well made sunny side up and scrambled eggs, a good selection of traditional Slovenian fare, and very nice fruit and pastries. The spread on the second morning of my stay was also different from the first, and I appreciated this variety. I wish all hotels cared more about the quality of their breakfast buffet as much. The garage parking which I reserved in advance was expensive, but it’s the best way to secure parking. The free parking spaces were very limited and unsurprisingly all full.

Only issue I had was the shower is very small (too small), and the shower door has two doors that easily jammed). As I was showing my elbow knocked the tap to the hot direction, and I burned my back with hot water. The doors jammed on occasion so I felt trapped in the shower. There is an “SOS” rope bell in the shower, which leads me to believe shower incidents may be a common occurrence. Other than the shower, hotel was great.

Hotel is in a good location and great breakfast.
However, we visited end of April and the bedroom was too hot. They refused to turn the air con on in the hotel due to the time of year therefore we relied on a tiny window to try and cool the room down. Terrible sleep because of it.

Very nice hotel, nice reception staff. Room make up was a bit of a joke. Bathroom and towels were untouched. Not more than 3 minutes soent in the room.

Wonderful stay.

We had a room with lake view (slightly compromised because of a parking lot in front). Our stay was wonderful, and the lake iz amazing...!! We also enjoyed a pool, which was heated and clean. Breakfast was wonderful too. Thanks to all people who work there! We wish we could stay longer.

Lovely hotel, great facilities, friendly polite staff in a beautiful place. We enjoyed a really relaxing stay at Lake Bled. The breakfast was fantastic, the service was very good. The evening meal was very tasty and good value and Mirko help was much appreciated. The jacuzzi Bath with the beautiful view was a real treat. Great transport links from Ljubljana , the most beautiful place we have got ever been

Great location, Clean, Good Parking

The hotel is very close to Lake Bled. We arrived later in the evening. Parking was full above ground but they had some spaces underground that we could park in. We ate in the restaurant for a late dinner. The food was good and plentiful. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and had a great view of the lake and island from our balcony. I would definitely stay here again.
