Hotel is located on the major access street to Taxco. Close to shopping, and transportation.If you do not want to walk, getting a taxi is easy. For its location, expect some traffic noise almost at all times.

The hotel has a pool, but it needs some clean up. I chose that hotel because they offer WiFi in the rooms, a big plus since I had to do some work during my stay, and in most of the hotels in Taxco do not offer internet service, and has parking space next to the hotel entrance. I hope that the owners would update the place.

Staff were wonderful. Hotel is a short walk down a steep hill from the bus drop off - very convenient however not an easy walk for everyone and not if you were dragging luggage. The area around the hotel was okay but not as nice as the centre of town - if I was staying for more than one night I would stay up hill in town. There wasn't anywhere close for breakfast - the OXXO next door had decent coffee.

I was on my own and felt safe walking in the area - however the bars and restaurants close to the hotel dids not look appealing. I walked up another steep hill to town for dinner - was the only one walking alone into town but felt safe doing so and walking back - you can always hail a cab too. Overall okay for the night and if you do go to Taxco go see the Cacahumilpa Caves. Bus station is a short walk from the hotel.

Overall worth the money, get what you pay for, vale because it is in walking distance to the Tianguis silver market. It's an uphill walk to the center and other more reputable silver shops, so not recommended for anyone not in walking condition. Service was good. Wifi didn't work in the room.

Great place for the price..
We asked for a room with a view and we got the balcony second floor, beautiful overlook, even though this hotel is at the bottom of the hill.. It was close to the bus station and we paid 44 bucks.

Excellent Quality for Price
We were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Real de San Diego. Our room was on the top floor with a wrap-around balcony perfect for watching the lights of the city--two sliding doors let the breeze rush through the room. The room was clean--dated but not shabby. One hotel clerk spoke English and another spoke Spanish; they both were able to point us to restaurants and sites around the city. We will stay here again when we return!

Look like a homestay hotel. Not accessi ble for wheelchair nor heavy luggage. But, the staff helped us carried our heavy luggage. Room is nice and clean. Instant coffee and hot/cool water available in first floor. Walk distance to zocalo, have to hike the hill tough, good for exercise but beware of dog sh.. and smelt along the way. Staff are nice and friendly, language barriers did not bother us at all.

La atención del personal es muy buena pero es un hotel que está muy deteriorado le hace falta cariño, la recepción está vacía con unos muebles cubierto por sábanas, hace años que no pintan las paredes de todo el hotel, la alberca está muy sucia, y la habitación tienen una alfombra sucia y dañada, las camas bien, el aire es un ventilador que sopla aire caliente no ayuda al calor, el baño está todo roto, el lavamanos, la ducha el foco, todo en mal estado, los muebles dañados de igual forma. En general le falta mucho que arreglar, me encanta el hecho que se conserve el estado histórico pero todo puede estar bien, limpio y funcional.

Me hospede el fin de semana, y como primer punto mal.es que me confirmaron mi reserva atravez de la plataforma de Hoteles.com llegando me dicen que no la tenían registrada y por no tener el registro me cobraron de más. Como segundo punto la habitación (002) estaba extremadamente sucio parecía que solo había cambiado las sábanas de la cama, después encontramos un cepillo de dientes y jabón en un costado del lavabo qué parecía que tienen meses porque hasta telarañas hay, para rematar la última noche nos salieron cucarachas lo que indica que no fumigan y como último punto la piscina jamás la limpiaron se veía sucia . En general no es un buen hotel hay mejores que están dentro de esos precios y por tal no te recomiendo que te hospedes ahí.
