El hotel está en una de las mejores ubicaciones para disfrutar la gran vista hacia Taxco; puedes ver Santa Prisca, el atardecer y las luces de noche. Además, el hotel es hermoso, los cuartos son espectactulares, espaciosos y con una gran distribución. Pero sobre todas las cosas, el personal nos hizo sentir como si fuéramos los únicos huéspedes ahí, atendiendo puntualmente cada necesidad, con la mejor actitud posible.

El lugar es muy lindo y el personal es increíblemente amable y servicial. El mantenimiento del hotel deja algo que desear. No hay conector de luz en el tocador del baño y el techo del jacuzzi estaba resanado sin pintar, no lo que se espera de un lugar spa boutique. Otro asunto es que se quedó abierta la llave del jacuzzi y el agua que se salió del jacuzzi por la coladera les acabó inundando toda la cocina por lo que me cobraron una multa por mal uso de instalaciones. Entiendo el error de nuestra parte pero la coladera debería funcionar, las filtraciones a la cocina no son mi problema. Y por otro lado alguien podría haber avisado antes de que se hiciera un caos.

Aun así pagué sin protestar por que me dio pena que el hotel estaba vacío.

Finalmente, si estaban vacíos sin reservaciones, un upgrade a la habitación siguiente superior hubiera sido un detalle muy apreciado. Así hacen en la mayoría de los lugares y eso genera lealtad.

Lo mejor de este lugar fue la gente. Todos increíble actitud.

Absolutely professional service by all the staff especially front desk when we ran into some booking errors (on our end) which was resolved quickly. The views are beautiful. Little walk with the road and you can enjoy a little gondola ride down the mountain. Super cute. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place to enjoy Taxco beautiful landscape! Rooms are very well equipped and nice. Service level is very good, particularly the restaurant team. Food is also very good. Ask for the delicious chilaquiles with cecina!

De Cantera y Plata is a small boutique hotel with only nine rooms on top of a hill overlooking Taxco. The views are stunning. Our room was very spacious with a view to the garden and the golf course green next to the hotel. The service at the hotel and restaurant was outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel and would venture to guess it's the nicest hotel in Taxco.

Overall we had an excellent experience. Just a few things they could improve. I didn’t like the rustic jacuzzi in the terrace. Next time I would book a regular room, not the suite with jacuzzi. The curtains do not block out light completely so at 7am you have daylight in the room. No hairdryer in the room. No drawers to accommodate clothes. Restaurant and bar close at 10pm. If you want to stay up late and have a drink ... not possible. I think they fall short on staff .. just one waiter for breakfast. Everything else extraordinary!!! We would definitely stay there again !!!

Nice hotel, but need a lot of customer service

Hotel is beautiful, but service was bad. There was no spa, all massage are at your room. Restaurante was closed for lunch and dinner, pillows really flat and when order room service couldn’t get an item because they perdón at night didn’t know the prices. For the price of the rooms it is WAY over CHARGE! They have a lot to improve.

Gem on top of the hill

This exclusive hotel offers stunning views of the town and blends perfectly well colonial and modern style. The room was spacious, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast served in the terrace of the restaurant was flavorful and a great way to start a day full of visits and discoveries.

De Cantera y Plata is an amazing place, it belongs to \"Tesoros\"and well worth it because it is absolutely amazing, the rooms are incredibly big and comfortable, you wi have your own jacuzzi with a great view, as a matter of fact you can not find a better view of beautiful Taxco, the staff is great, the food is glorious, we stayed there for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. It is worth the price.

Kind service in a gorgeous setting

We were the only guests at the 9-room hotel the night we stayed. Honestly, it reminded me of hotels on the Amalfi coast in Italy. Our room was huge and airy, with 2 terraces, one with a spectacular view and a jacuzzi. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed both. The dining room also overlooks the city, and the new was especially amazing at night, with lightning flashing over the mountains in the distance. Our waiter, Jonathan, was particularly nice and helpful. He even came back to our room after dinner to explain the TV remote to us. The grounds are absolutely lovely, with a pool and hot tub overlooking a panorama of Taxco. The only downside is the winding road up the mountain--this is a short taxi ride away from downtown Taxco, so not for you if you want to be in the center of things. A minor quibble--the view, spacious rooms and friendly service at this place make it a lovely and peaceful destination.

Very nice setting and wonderful views over Taxco. Attempts to be very upper class however the entrance and reception at the hotel were closed and no way to call them. It took me more than 10 minutes to have someone opening the front door of the hotel.

El hotel es hermoso y pequeño, con solo 9 habitaciones. Si tienen suerte, los atenderá Omar, quien hace todo por mejorar la experiencia. Si no, les tocará Esmeralda, cuya actitud es arrogante, o tal vez así le piden que trate a los huéspedes, porque la gerente jamás dio la cara.

El mantenimiento deja mucho que desear: lámparas sueltas, agua amarilla en el jacuzzi y alfombras desgastadas. La comida es decepcionante y carísima; incluso me salió un pedazo de fibra metálica en un platillo, y ni una disculpa. Además, los precios del alcohol son ridículos: un vino de $150 lo venden en más de $1,000.

El servicio es soberbio, nunca aceptan errores y no se preocupan por la experiencia del huésped. Nos fuimos un día antes y ni siquiera preguntaron por qué. La respuesta a nuestras quejas fue un mensaje genérico sin disculpas, reflejando la falta de interés en mejorar.

Las instalaciones valen la pena, pero el servicio y los costos no justifican la experiencia. La alberca es fría porque no tiene caldera, y el jacuzzi funcionó solo un día. Como siempre digo: vayan y juzguen por ustedes mismos. La vista es increíble, pero todo lo demás deja mucho que desear.

La pasé muy bien durante mi estancia. El personal es muy atento y servicial. La comida es buena (leí comentarios que no, pero sí es buena). La habitación muy limpia. ¡La vista es preciosa! Vale la pena hospedarse aquí, estás a unos 15 minutos del centro en auto/taxi. Si llegas en auto, recomiendo que primero llegues al hotel y luego te desplaces en taxi, no es caro y es más cómodo, porque las calles del centro son muy estrechas y empedradas, si no conoces resulta un poco complicado si manejas. Sin duda regresaré :)

Ya es nuestra 3er vez que vamos a éste hotel. Es excelente, las habitaciones son hermosas, la decoración es moderna, el olor de las habitaciones, toallas y sabanas es muy agradable. La vista de la Suite Vista es inmejorable, en las tardes con lluvia se ve hermoso y la neblina te cubre y en dias de Sol se disfuta el Sol en los camastros o en las sillas/sillones de la Terraza.

Restaurant me pudieran mi tarjeta con la que pague para anotar unos números revisaron mi tarjeta bancaria por ambos lados y en la habitación no servía la bocina, ausencia de baterias en algunos artículos y se sentía algo arenoso el piso y la puerta de la terraza estaba descuadrada nos costó un poco cerrarla

Nuestra experiencia en el hotel fue maravillosa. A pesar de que habia otros huespedes ese fin de semana, fuimos atendidos como reyes. Nos hicieron sentir como en nuestra casa. La calidad de la gastronomia, la increible actitud del gerente y de cada uno de los empleados, la vista, la decoracion y el ambiente: inmejorable para un fin de semana en pareja. La mejor experiencia en hospedaje en Taxco

Una gran experiencia, gran lujo y comodidad, las instalaciones son nuevas y muy cómodas. Son solo 9 habitaciones. El personal está siempre atento a tus necesidades y prestan un servicio de un excelente nivel. El desayuno fue increíble, con una calidad de alimentos y su servicio del restaurante al mismo nivel del hotel. Es la mejor vista de Taxco, sumamente recomendable para un viaje de pareja. Yo solo pediría que las persianas fueran totalmente blackout pero solo eso.
Gracias a todo el personal de Cantera y Plata que nos atendieron como reyes.
El camino es muy sinuoso y se pone peligroso y resbaloso cuando llueve por ser piedra, sería ideal que fuera de concreto pero así son las calles en Taxco de Alarcón.

La atención del personal es lo mejor

El hotel es bonito. Pero nada se compara con la maravillosa atención de todo el personal. En el restaurante nos hicieron platillos especiales porque no se nos antojaban los de la carta y el señor que ayudaba en general fue extremadamente amable. Nos mostraron las remodelaciones que están haciendo, etc. Son extraordinarios en la atención. Estuvimos solos en el jacuzzi y en la alberca por lo que realmente es bastante exclusivo el lugar. Está lejos del centro y moverse es algo complicado pues las calles de Taxco son imposibles para transitar pero nada que un taxi no resuelva. Excelente
