Great find in Rome

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Santa Prisca.

The main reason why we chose this hotel was because they offered off road parking - which is tough to find in Rome.

It turned out that it was even better than we could have imagined!

The location is fantastic - right outside the hotel are bus stops that can quickly take you into the city centre. But you're just outside the busy centre so you can get a peaceful night's sleep.

The staff were so friendly - they were happy to answer questions we had & I particularly liked the friendly staff in the breakfast room!

Breakfast provided was lovely - a vast selection & plentiful. I particularly liked the fruit - it was so tasty. My husband enjoyed the eggs & bacon!!

The room itself, whilst small, it was perfectly adequate for our short stay. It was comfortable & when we requested extra pillows, they were up very quickly.

I would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely return if I came back to Rome. Thank you!!

Great base for a weekend in Rome

Made a wonderful base for our weekend in Rome. The rooms aren't the most modern but spacious enough and clean. The shower had great pressure too.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were all very friendly with Nico being a particular highlight (he's quite the character!).

Location was excellent around a 20 min walk to the Colosseum and also being in the Testaccio district it meant we had easy access to loads of wonderful great value restaurants, plus our favourite Gelato place in Rome just across the street.

Would happily stay here again next time we visit. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Well run hotel with friendly staff and good service. Beautiful treed location outside the downtown core, but easy walk to the Metro and convenient buses outside the door. Lots of restaurants near by. Older hotel, well kept but smallish room. No mini fridge or kettle which disappointed. Good breakfast.

OK for price but let down by breakfast.

A clean hotel with friendly staff and in an easily-accessible but ‘off the beaten track’ location. Only real issue I had was with the breakfast - it actually consists of a voucher refundable at a bakery/cafe across the road. If you are expecting any fruit or cereals with your breakfast, then you will be sadly disappointed!

Nice place, small shower

We had a great stay. The room was tiny but in a really convenient spot. The front desk was helpful.
You get a voucher for breakfast at the bakery across the street for breakfast. It was delicious.
The concierge sent us to Mastro Donato’s across the street for lunch. The best pizza I had my whole time in Italy.
Our only issue was the size of the shower. We both had to really squeeze to get into the shower.

Amazing location and private parking! Rooms are not very spacious, but it doesn't really matter cos the most of the day you are out. The bed is super comfy, good breakfast.
Be aware there is a school next door, so if you are planning to lay in might be a bit disturbing.
In overall, i would definitely stay again!

Definitely more than 2 stars hotel. Great location to visit Rome, 5 minutes walking to Pyramide metro station. We had a little problem to find the address. Fridge in the room would be a nice upgrade. Very good breakfast and clean rooms.

Nice hotel with parking outside and clean.

For a 2 star hotel, this was better than some 3 stars we’ve stayed in previous in Rome.
Fro t desk staff very helpful and polite.
Hotel is at a good location with tram stop around the corner also scooters available nearby.
As with rest of Rome, it can get a little noisy but the room has good air conditioning so you can close the windows and stay cool even in hot summer months.

A hidden gem

The hotel is located on Aventino hill, so we enjoyed walking there to the forum. The location is phenomenal. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and professional. There is private parking on the property! WiFi is strong. The room is smallish but comfortable. We used a sitting area near reception to get some work done. There is an elevator but also wide beautiful marble stairs. Did not get to eat at the restaurant because a group was there, but the concierge Daniel made reservations for us nearby at a lovely place within walking distance. Also, the hotel let us store our luggage for a few hours before checkin so we could tour. I would stay here again.

I believe the good reviews are driven by good breakfast, decent location, and reasonable but not outstanding service. Otherwise, we found the hotel to be minimal and underwhelming - hardly no amenities, no safe box, and uncomfortable bed and pillows. It is an average option (3 out of 5 stars), but not great (4+ stars).

Excellent stay: the staff could not have been more helpful, the conditions were great, and the breakfast range even wider than before!

I always find its location excellent: while nicely secluded in its garden, it is close to all means of transport -- trolley, tube and train.

Plus there are a top gelateria and two exquisite restaurants literally across the road!

Hotel is (60) years old and is showing its age in some areas, rooms have been upgraded and are very clean and comfortable, however no tea or coffee facilities in rooms, staff are very pleasant and helpfull. not a very big choice for continental breakfast but it is adequate.hotel is well placed for tram and metro lines into the city center and places of interest. although we did not try this buffet lunch is offered at a very good rate, and a la cart dinner can be booked if required most people ate out at the numerous restaurants in the area (part of the Rome experience)
Hotel is well located for the main attractions and some can be accessed by walking if you can stand the heat. taxis are available from the front desk within minutes and if there are 4 of you is not much more than the tram metro fare also good rates are available from the hotel back to the airport
Hotel is located close to a main road and fire station back ground traffic noise is there but I did not find it troublesome.

24 hour stay in Rome

We chose the Santa Prisca as it offered the ability for on-site parking and was within walking distance of the historical centre. We were very happy with the location for that reason, for us it was a good 25 mins walk to the colleseum, although in the cooler months it might be a little quicker! The room was small but clean, and the bed comfortable. For an older hotel we were also pleased with the effectiveness of the air con in the room, but the rooms could do with a little tlc, as the walls were marked and the shower enclosure damaged. The breakfast was also very good, the coffee machine excellent, the cold juice lovely, and a good choice of fresh tasty pastries and bread. There was also a pancake making machine which I thought was a nice touch. I thought for a two star hotel, this was an excellent spread. The staff were also friendly, spoke good English and allowed us to leave the car in the car park after we checked out so we could enjoy the day in Rome without worry.

The staff is so welcoming and so willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The location is excellent - the Testaccio neighborhood is a gem, often overlooked. It is at a convenient distance from most points of interest and has a true nroman neighborhood feeling. Overall, it is a good hotel and a good value.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. They offer pick up from the airport or we used an outside service for 50 euros (I’m sorry I can’t remmeber who ). Made warm milk and cappuccinos for us if we requested. Dinner was a hidden gem. We kept walking to Trastevere for dinner (go to suppli!!!) but the chef at the hotel was AMAZING. Easily the best dinner we had in all of Rome. Right next to the Bus stop. Take bus 716 to the
Rotary to see all of downtown Rome and start walking. Perfect location, ask the desk man how to get around/ what bus to take. Very simple and accessible. Also three streets away is a Mexican restaurant that made my son a cheese quesadilla in the middle of the night (he missed Taco Bell) and the food was amazing. Check it out.

The location is great; the room; thought a bit small; worked; there was no Air Conditioning, so with the open windows the bugs that bite came out and I am still covered. And there was no in-room fridge either; that was a first for us on this trip. The bath tub was tiny and only hand held shower; not very workable for my husband who's a big (6'1) guy, but he eventually made it work. The front desk people were knowledgeable and helpful about everything Rome; transit...etc. things that tourists need to know. Even suggested a really good restaurant close by. It was a very pleasant stay; we extended our stay by two more nights; and we would love to go back one day.

The Expedia website promised us a queen bed and a single bed for my friend and me. Unfortunately we were given one double bed, although this was later split into two twin beds for our second night.
The hotel was slightly dark and dated, and seemed quite flat in terms of general atmosphere. Ultimately, the location was decent enough and it did a sufficient job as a base for us to explore Rome and the Vatican City.

A very nice, simple, hotel with all the facilities I needed for a business trip. Excellent location for trains to the airport, buses and the metro, and for seeing the sights. Plenty of good local restaurants nearby in Testaccio area. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel was just what I wanted and very reasonably priced. I would certainly come back here again when next in Rome.

Well located and in its own grounds so quiet.

A very pleasant hotel not far from the metro. Some good restaurants are nearby. The hotel stands on its own plot, set back from the road and so is quieter than a hotel on the street. It is also not a noisy area, not too touristy, which also helps. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of everything.

While this hotel isn't a 5 star luxury hotel, it was perfect for what we needed. It was close enough to all of the sites that we were able to walk (20-30 mins) to the center of town. The hotel staff was very friendly and our room was very clean. We did dinner both nights in Trastevere, which was about a 20 minute walk along the river. If you are looking for a good value for your money and don't want to spend lots of dollars on a hotel in Rome, this is the perfect choice for you!

Excellent value for money in a safe ,convenient and well appointed,building and grounds. Welcoming staff, a comfortable lounge and dining room- excellent decoration.A good continental breakfast with ample variety and quantity. Outside the hotel crossover to catch the 75 bus to Termini Station(en route the Circus Maximus and Colosseum-10 mins walk) =1euro.50. Aircon works well ,wifi availableOur three night stay the advantage of a garden view. Ample parking -if you want.
Did,nt try the evening restaurant, cross over the road for local trattoria .There is a very reasonable Airport Shuttle coach(11 euros return )to both airports( the return pickup point is
round the corner from the central area!)

The staff was delightful and we didn't have any problems. I really enjoyed our stay (we had a room with three beds) and we actually stayed here twice. It is a little bit far from the other hotels, but I personally liked getting out of the full-on touristy area. There are cute little places to eat nearby and the Colosseum was only a 15 minute walk away! I would definitely recommend it here. Oh! One bad things was the smell of the sewage system through the pipes in the washroom - I think it mainly came from the bidet/urinal, but there is a way to close it and that helps. Also, leave your bathroom window open while you're gone. I wouldn't pay to eat breakfast at the hotel, it's probably a better deal to go find something across the street! =)

A beautiful gem of a hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. Right near three different rail lines and the bus and tram stop was just across the street. It's in a great part of Rome, with plenty to see nearby and the rest of the city is only a metro stop away. The staff was exceptional to say the least. Always happy to help and went the extra mile no matter what the request or problem. The cleanliness, care and beauty of the building was wonderful to come back to after a day of exploring this great city. I would highly recommend Santa Prisca to anyone wanting a great base station to walk, ride and explore that area of Italy.

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Room may be small for a family of three. The bathroom is tiny with shower only. The shower stall may be too tiny to barely turn around for a big guy. The room we have is away from the street so it is quite. In general, the hotel is quite during the night, so it will be good for light-sleeper. We did not add the breakfast since it is so easy to grab a bite from many nearby pasticerria and coffee shops.

Clean, safe & reasonable value for business travel

The hotel is not fancy with no pools or spas or luxury amenities. But it is clear, the staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a clear and safe neighbourhood that is not in the main central area of Rome. But it is only about 5 blocks to walk to the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus. So, pretty convenient for walking to major attractions without being in the main centre of the tourist area.

The hotel is not located on a charming cobbled street. It is next to a reasonably busy main thoroughfare but it is set back and has its own garden area and walls so it is not noisy or busy. It is a convenient place to stay for professional visiting the nearby FAO headquarters while at the same time being an acceptable choice for couples or singles not expecting a charming Roman setting but simply convenience, cleanliness and reasonable value. The hotel offers a breakfast that is acceptable but not outstanding.

Bir çok local restoran ve kafe var. Çok güzel bir mahallede. Tepeye doğru yürürseniz harika bir manzara ile karşılaşıyorsunuz. Çalışanlar da çok yardımsever ve güler yüzlü. Kahvaltı gayet iyi, yeterli. Odaların ses yalıtımı çok iyi değil. Biraz gürültülü olabiliyor ama çok sorun olmadı. Keşke mesajlara vaktinde dönselerdi zira ilk gün erken valiz bırakmam gerekti ama dönüş olmayınca emanetçiye bırakmak zorunda kaldım. Bu hizmetleri var mı emin de değilim. Ama tavsiye ederim

Wonderful safe cozy haven. Amazing value. Not super central (like near Trevi fountain) but it’s actually nice being a bit away and quiet. Metro is 10min or less by foot, and easy access to the center. (Rome metro is super easy to navigate). It’s kind of between the touristy center and Vatican so if you’re planning on going to the latter it’s quite convenient, especially if taking taxis.
The many many baked goods and cakes at breakfast is so nice.
Overall, very reliable, pleasant and highly satisfying hotel!

Era la prima volta che soggiornavo presso l'hotel e devo dire che a parte il fatto che l'aria condizionata non era ancora attiva, ho trovato personale estremamente cortese e che svolge il suo lavoro con gioia; ti mette di buon umore.
Camera piccola ma confortevole e pulita. Wi-Fi in camera utile per e-mail e Internet, ma dovendo fare un collegamento Zoom sono dovuto scendere nella parte comune.

Schönes Hotel. Vor allem der Service beim Frühstück ist hervorzuheben. Das Zimmer was wir hatten, ist genau wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Die Umgebung ist klasse: viele Restaurants in der Nähe und ca. 15 min Gehweg von der ersten Sehenswürdigkeit entfernt

Hotel due stelle di buon livello, in una posizione ben raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici. Camera e bagno angusti, letto comodo, silenziosa per buona qualità degli infissi. Un dettaglio sgradevole: la tendina della doccia che data la strettezza della stessa, inevitabilmente si attacca alla pelle! Buona la colazione. Un po' caro in rapporto ai servizi offerti.

Located nicely in the centre, 15 minutes to the Kolloseum. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but clean. Breakfast is on a low standard. Value for money? Maybe just OK.

Sehr netter Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück. Es war immer alles ausgefüllt oder wurde umgehend aufgefüllt. In unserem Zimmer ließ leider die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. Da ist noch reichlich Luft nach oben.
Auch könnten die Zimmer eine Renovierung vertragen. Sehr abgenutzte Einrichtung.
Die Lage ist sehr gut.

Soggiorno piacevole e tranquillo in una struttura alberghiera riservata. Ottima prima colazione e personale gentile, professionale e discreto. Se torniamo a Roma soggiorneremo all'hotel Santa Prisca.

Soggiorno di lavoro in camera pulita e senza pretese, TV e wify funzionanti, doccia pulita anche se con tendina e dispenser comodo dei saponi. Non ho trovato il fono per i capelli. L'affaccio sulla via a forte scorrimento non è dei più silenziosi. Colazione buona

Ponto positivo foi o estacionamento grátis dentro do hotel, quartos antigos mas muito limpos, café da manhã honesto, fácil acesso para usar transporte publico. Ponto negativo: quarto e banheiro minúsculos.
