Our family absolutely loved our stay at Paradisus Grand Cana!
This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and it was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well-organized. The breakfast buffet was excellent with so many options, and we especially loved the custom omelette station.
We were impressed with how easy it was to make restaurant reservations. The resort has five different restaurants, and we enjoyed every single one. Even at restaurants that seemed more limited for kids (like the seafood-focused one), the staff went above and beyond by bringing fries or rice from another restaurant so our children could have something they’d enjoy. When one restaurant was fully booked, they even arranged for us to dine at a nicer restaurant at a sister Meliá property instead. That level of service really stood out.
Our kids (ages 5, 7, and 8) had an amazing time. They loved the Aqua Zone, the main pool, and all the activities. They especially enjoyed Fun Republic — we wish we had gone more than once! They also had a great experience at the Kids Club (Kidsdom).
One of the highlights of our trip was Carlos, our dedicated concierge from the Expedia team. Even though we didn’t book through the concierge service, he took excellent care of us. He answered all our questions, helped us book restaurants, and even adjusted reservation times when needed. Sandra, the manager on the Travelocity side, was also very helpful and stepped in when needed.

The staff for the most part were terrible & useless. Jonathan who was a waiter in Sal was amazing and so was the food in that restaurant. The beach restaurant & the buffet & the room service food quality was below quality. The communication that the staff has overall is terrible, specially the concierge service they offer is practically non existent. I missed out on reservations to other restaurants because although guest services had “done” the reservations when i arrived at the restaurants my room was not listed. Overall i would no return to this resort. The drinks & the food were really below standard. What i did enjoy was my room which was the swim up master suite, the swim up option was great. Also the aqua park is pretty fun but the food place there is horrible as well. The beach is dirty.

Day one entering the hotel, they placed us in a open waiting area for 45 min to check in if we didn’t inform them that we have been waiting we would still be waiting. I checked in from in ny and up until I told him I already checked in it was pulling up on my phone. As soon as he walked away to go check and came back it disappeared. We walked 2 miles for are room and upon entering it was beautiful. Wonderful swim-up room. But the master bedroom had no volume on tv and ac in living room kept cutting off. It took 3 days for them to finally solve that issue with constant reminders. Food was basic had to keep eating at the buffet because the other restaurant were giving substitutions to what we ordered. The staff never understood what I was asking for and very slow to complete a task. My toilet got stopped up and had to wait 1 1/2 hrs to get a plugger. When checking out the guy forgot to put my room # on the ticket and the guy asked me go back to get the room # written on the ticket after we told him numerous times the room #. I have been many places and this by far was the worst experience. If it wasn’t for my kids having fun I would completely giving up on this trip.

I had a pleasant stay at Paradisus Grand Cana overall. The rooms were amazing—spacious, comfortable, and very accommodating. The balcony was the best I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort and was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

Unfortunately, the noise was unbelievable. Every night, there were loud sounds coming from the room next door and from upstairs. The worst part was hearing furniture and chairs being dragged across the marble floors, which made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep.

The beach was not as close as I expected. Guests have to take a shuttle to get there, which often meant waiting in the heat. On several occasions, the shuttle was full, resulting in even longer waits both to and from the beach.

Service at the beach restaurant was inconsistent. Some days were fine, but one experience was exceptionally poor. If you plan to eat there, I recommend arriving shortly after they open, as the service seemed much better earlier in the day.

Overall, the beautiful rooms and excellent balcony made for a pleasant stay, but the noise, beach transportation, and inconsistent restaurant service prevented the experience from being truly exceptional.

* ensure you tip your waiters/staff - they truly appreciate it

We were traveling with another family and he always made sure to accommodate our plans. Loved the activities at night and waterpark for the kids. The food and staff were wonderful.

Very modern and clean hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The rooms are very spacious, especially if you’re traveling with more than one person.

The food was excellent, and there were plenty of options to choose from. For restaurant reservations, I recommend booking them in advance. If needed, your assigned concierge can help secure reservations for you.

The resort is quite large, so it never felt crowded, even during busy times. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful vacation, this is the perfect place. However, if you’re looking for a party atmosphere, this may not be the best fit.

I traveled with two friends to celebrate my birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. Everything was great, and I would definitely recommend this resort.

This hotel is not anywhere near the beach. It is about a mile and a half away. It requires taking a golf cart shuttle, which comes every 15 minutes. Chairs and furniture are stained. Basic amenities and food is mid range.

My son loved the water park and kids’ activities, while my mom and I appreciated the outstanding service and attention to detail. My family and I didn’t need the concierge service during our trip, and the $200 credit from Expedia was useless at the resort. It’s a coupon, not a credit, and the resort never explained what we could use it for. We received no response to our inquiries. The food quality was the biggest disappointment. The staff, especially at the bars, seemed unhappy with their jobs.

From the moment I arrived at the property, I knew was in for a treat. Staff members were helpful, facilities and grounds were clean, suite was spacious, and the food was delicious. Fun activities to partake in or simply relax by the pool or at the private beach. Nice food options, though difficult to make reservations at the restaurants, which thankfully the buffet (which had a different theme every evening) and sports bar did not require. Enjoyed several tours as well- worth experiencing the culture and area. Would highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at Paradisius Gran Cana from May 28 to June 3. The property is gorgeous, clean and the staff is really friendly and welcoming.
We had the best concierge Omar!! He helped us with everything that we needed. He brought us towels, drove us to the water park and made reservations for the restaurants. He really went above and beyond and we are so grateful that he made our family vacation stress free. We can’t wait to book our next trip md as for him as our concierge again.
The best restaurant was Tori (Japanese restaurant). Jenny, Miguel and Cristian are a gem. They provided excellent service and were always so friendly. They were very accommodating.
At the buffet, Daniel always greeted us with a smile and prepared delicious eggs for us every morning. We preferred the food and service at the buffet over Lemonfish à la carte for a family concierge only.
Our room was very clean and organized thanks to Julia. She was so sweet and her attention to detail was amazing.
Beach was pretty clean (almost no sargassum) and just a 3 min ride from the hotel. Water park and pools were also well kept and in good condition.

We went there with two young kids and got a swim up. It was nice to be able to walk into the pool without packing everything.
Food was good. Service was good but at times slow. The front conceirge staff were the most helpful.
The only issue we had was not being able to get any reservations to the à la carts because they would book so fast.
Overall we had a nice stay. If you are getting swim up just a heads up that there are lots of stray cats at the resort in case you’re allergic or afraid.

Honestly, I was skeptical because of the bad reviews but that’s why you should always see for yourself before judging completely on a place you’ve never been. Punta Cana honestly is one for the books & the hotel was better than I expected. It’s all all inclusive so of course everything won’t be perfect but with the fast service, friendly staff & seeing how much they care about detail makes it worth wanting to come back! We just got back from our vacation at Paradisus Grand Cana and overall, this was a 10/10 experience.

The staff truly went above and beyond for us. Specifically, when we requested a late checkout due to our nighttime flight, they kindly accommodated us. This allowed our toddler to take his nap and gave our kids time to rest before the flight home, which made a huge difference for our family.

Beyond the excellent service, the property itself is absolutely stunning. From the rooms to the outdoor areas, everything is beautifully maintained and visually impressive.

This resort is also extremely family-friendly. There were so many activities and things for our kids to enjoy throughout our stay, including virtual reality games, painting activities, inflatables, and most importantly, Fun Republic, which is only a short 2-minute shuttle ride away from the resort. The kids truly had the time of their lives and made memories that will last forever.

The food at the buffet was also great. My only suggestion for improvement would be the restaurant reservation system, as it was a little difficult to secure dinner reservations at times. Thankfully, the quality and variety at the buffet more than made up for it.

All in all, this was a beautiful property and an excellent stay. Once again, thank you to the wonderful staff who consistently went above and beyond to accommodate our family throughout the trip!

The property is beautiful, the rooms are so big, beach is a few minutes from the rooms but they have a good transportation service food and drinks amazing, but the best is the staff, everyone who serves there is nice and always smiling faces making you feel so welcome, Jose serving coffee at Origen buffet and giving us a good morning like he was waiting for us ❤️, Luis and Gregorio at Salt, they work on any detail to make your experience unique, and Juan at beach club!! Everything about this hotel is Amazing. From the food, to the activities, amenities, the wonderful staff, waiters, cooks & more. Our concierge & welcoming staff were so on point with greeting us from start to end of trip everyday making sure our needs were met and ensuring our stay was going well. The food could be a hit or miss sometimes but breakfast was always on point (always getting my omelette made on the spot). Getting a golf cart to the beach was easy, we never waited more than 5m. The waterpark access and access to the beach makes the resort even more appealing. Family oriented environment. Clean facilities and extremely helpful staff. Thank you to Nicki, Francelis, Michael and everyone that made this trip very memorable. We will be back for my birthday in October 2026 with more family so they can experience our great experience. Thank you to the entire Paradisus staff!

The property itself was okay, nothing amazing about it. If you are a foodie like I am! This is NOT the resort to stay at. Out of all the all inclusive properties I’ve stayed at before, this one is by far my least favorite one. Food was not good. Very bland, a repeat meal on a daily basis. We were not able to secure a reservation at a restaurant. They have you wait until the kiosk is open to check if you can reserve a spot, but no availability! Was not impressed at all. The only thing was we enjoyed was the Kids Water Zone because our girls enjoyed themselves.

Stayed at the Paridisus Grand Cana this March with my sister for our spring break. The resort is really nice for families, with plenty of activities for children. Some rooms are nicer and cleaner than others. When we first arrived, we were greeted with drinks and brought to our room. The room looked nice, but upon further inspection, we found the pull-out bed was not clean (leftover sand from a previous guest) and that there were some minor imperfections and wear and tear on the walls, as well as an ant problem. After reporting these, we were given a new room that was wayyyyy cleaner, with no wear and tear.

The staff was very accommodating to our needs. Definitely recommended for families or those wanting to relax. No nightlife on the resort.

Food was very mid, especially the buffet. Restaurants were okay, but that was to be expected. Would say the resort wasn't too far from nightlife or excursions, but that would definitely have to be factored in.

I enjoyed in this hotel, I felt happy and satisfied during my stay. I feel that I can return because the room is lovely and cozy; everything in the hotel is very nice and clean, the food is good, and—best of all—the human warmth.

Beautiful hotel with amazing potential, but unfortunately the food and restaurant experience really hurt the stay for us.

The rooms are modern, extremely spacious, and very clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the pools are large enough to feel relaxing and private, and the beach is super close with golf carts constantly available.

However, the food was honestly some of the worst we’ve ever had at a hotel. We’re not picky eaters at all, but there were multiple things we literally could not eat. As Dominicans, it’s disappointing thinking tourists may leave believing our food is bad when our country actually has amazing cuisine. It honestly felt like the hotel prioritized cutting costs over providing a quality dining experience. We’re not expecting elite gourmet cuisine at an all inclusive, but at the very least the food should be enjoyable and consistently edible.

The staff around the property were very nice and helpful, but unfortunately most of the restaurant and buffet staff were rude and unwelcoming. We also didn’t love how persistently packages and “opportunities” were being sold by concierge, to the point where it felt uncomfortable.

Overall, the property itself is gorgeous and we still enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but the food and restaurant experience would keep us from returning.

Our stay at this resort was absolutely unforgettable because of the incredible staff who went above and beyond every single day. The level of hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly made this experience special for me and my family.

Yan Carlos Túpete was AMAZING. He decorated my room for my birthday, organized for the restaurant staff to sing Happy Birthday, and even made sure I had my favorite chocolate cake. His attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness are unmatched. He is truly an asset to this property and should never be overlooked.

Gisset Tolentino and Antoni Moreta were extremely attentive and always willing to help throughout our stay. Lissette Carrasco checked on my family daily to make sure we had everything we needed and was always welcoming and knowledgeable.

Randy Santana brought so much fun to the resort. He had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves no matter their age. Juan NOT 2 from entertainment was also incredible and knew exactly how to keep the crowd excited and engaged.

Natividad Sarmiento kept our room spotless every day and provided exceptional housekeeping service. Merlin Baez made every visit to Mangu restaurant feel warm and welcoming, and Chef Starlin Javier was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food.

Thank you all for making our stay unforgettable. We will return year after year because of the staff and beautiful resort.

I like that all the rooms are suites. Pools were nice, never overcrowded; however, there is only one depth so it was impossible for a short person like myself to walk to the bar, get a drink, and stand and socialize in the pool like I’m used to at other resorts. Absolutely did not like that they allowed smoking of cigarettes/cigarillos in the common areas. If one person is smoking, everyone is smoking including children. Staff friendliness was hit and miss, mostly miss. They pass you in the corridors and don’t acknowledge you. You go the bar and have to flag them down from talking to a coworker to get a drink (this happened multiple times). The spa was okay but I would not recommend for the price. I think my massage therapist fell asleep a couple of times during my massage. I had to move around to get her started again. However, my daughter said her message was great which is why I said it was “okay”. The beach is nice and they have a golf cart that runs regularly to take you there.

We have had an awesome 6 day stay, our room 2407 was super comfortable and we loved our terrace jacuzzi 😊 everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We would like to thank specially the ones that we treated the most, Francellis from Concierge for all your help and consideration / Lissette the event coordinator / Domingo the waiter from the Buffet area/ Kendal who served us as SAL Restaurant / Dionas the Captain at Amor de Mar Restaurant, and Michael at the reception area.

Everything was perfect! We couldn't find anything wrong. The food, the staff, the whole structure, luxuries, how peacefully it was and well-maintained. We made an upgrade at the check in and they even add extra benefits for us including a free spa that was amazing. We enjoyed every moment and definitely we're planning on coming back.

Our room was nice with a soaking tub and hot tub on the balcony. Staff was amazing. Buffet was just ok in my opinion. A big disappointment were the \"credits\" they promised. A $90 spa credit could be redeemed $30 per day. The other $200 \"resort\" credits came with so many limitations that we really didn't an opportunity to use them. That slick marketing was enough for me to potentially book elsewhere next time as that was a large factor in booking here.

Good resort, but not quite the VIP experience advertised

We stayed at Paradisus Grand Cana in a swim-up room, which was definitely the highlight. The pool was beautiful, the beach was clean with very little seaweed, however i did notice how crowded the beach loungers are.

Food was also slightly better than the average all-inclusive.

That said, service was inconsistent. We arrived around 4 PM and our room still wasn’t ready. We also didn’t receive the welcome drink or cold towel that was listed during booking on Expedia.

Our complimentary bottle of sparkling wine took multiple follow-ups and was only delivered the day before we left.

Housekeeping was slow and sometimes left notes saying they couldn’t service the room even when it was accessible.

Food and drinks were good but never consistent—same orders often came out differently each time.

Specialty restaurant reservations were inconvenient since they must be done in person with long morning lines, so with kids we skipped them.

One thing to note, loud music plays every night until around 11 PM, and even from Building 2 we could clearly hear the bass in our room.

Checkout was fast and easy, and they did approve late checkout after we explained the earlier issues.

Overall, it’s a nice resort with great facilities, but don’t expect a true VIP experience or highly attentive service.

Travelled to Paradisus with my husband and 2 young children (1 and 5 year old) and my in-laws. The resort is very family friendly with spacious and well-kept rooms. The entire property is spotless and staff are friendly.

We booked our stay with the addition of the family concierge service which I would recommend if you have young children and are travelling with elderly parents as the concierge will assist with nightly dinner reservations and activities (otherwise, you will need to line up every morning at 9 AM in the main courtyard to book dinner reservations for the evening - this is probably the biggest negative I can think of for the resort as it is an inefficient system).

There are lots of activities for kids to do in the separate kids club and a fantastic water park (Aquazone) that is great for all ages, with lots of seating and a snack bar/restaurant. The beach is about a 15-20 min walk from the main resort area, otherwise there are golf carts that run frequently that will take you down. The water park is about a 10 min walk straight up from the main drop off point at the beach if you don't want to wait for a cart - the walk is easy and mostly shaded. The beach area has a separate area that is roped off for family concierge guests and there is an extended walkway onto the beach itself with seating directly next to the walkway, so it is easy to maneuver strollers and wheelchairs.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would happily come back again!

The property was beautiful and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful the only issue I had was getting dinner reservations at the steak house but I was accommodated, so it worked out. There’s a shuttle that takes you around to the other properties like the casino and waterpark beach club. Very nice hotel would highly recommend
