Stayed at the Paridisus Grand Cana this March with my sister for our spring break. The resort is really nice for families, with plenty of activities for children. Some rooms are nicer and cleaner than others. When we first arrived, we were greeted with drinks and brought to our room. The room looked nice, but upon further inspection, we found the pull-out bed was not clean (leftover sand from a previous guest) and that there were some minor imperfections and wear and tear on the walls, as well as an ant problem. After reporting these, we were given a new room that was wayyyyy cleaner, with no wear and tear.

The staff was very accommodating to our needs. Definitely recommended for families or those wanting to relax. No nightlife on the resort.

Food was very mid, especially the buffet. Restaurants were okay, but that was to be expected. Would say the resort wasn't too far from nightlife or excursions, but that would definitely have to be factored in.

Beautiful hotel with amazing potential, but unfortunately the food and restaurant experience really hurt the stay for us.

The rooms are modern, extremely spacious, and very clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the pools are large enough to feel relaxing and private, and the beach is super close with golf carts constantly available.

However, the food was honestly some of the worst we’ve ever had at a hotel. We’re not picky eaters at all, but there were multiple things we literally could not eat. As Dominicans, it’s disappointing thinking tourists may leave believing our food is bad when our country actually has amazing cuisine. It honestly felt like the hotel prioritized cutting costs over providing a quality dining experience. We’re not expecting elite gourmet cuisine at an all inclusive, but at the very least the food should be enjoyable and consistently edible.

The staff around the property were very nice and helpful, but unfortunately most of the restaurant and buffet staff were rude and unwelcoming. We also didn’t love how persistently packages and “opportunities” were being sold by concierge, to the point where it felt uncomfortable.

Overall, the property itself is gorgeous and we still enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but the food and restaurant experience would keep us from returning.

Our stay at this resort was absolutely unforgettable because of the incredible staff who went above and beyond every single day. The level of hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly made this experience special for me and my family.

Yan Carlos Túpete was AMAZING. He decorated my room for my birthday, organized for the restaurant staff to sing Happy Birthday, and even made sure I had my favorite chocolate cake. His attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness are unmatched. He is truly an asset to this property and should never be overlooked.

Gisset Tolentino and Antoni Moreta were extremely attentive and always willing to help throughout our stay. Lissette Carrasco checked on my family daily to make sure we had everything we needed and was always welcoming and knowledgeable.

Randy Santana brought so much fun to the resort. He had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves no matter their age. Juan NOT 2 from entertainment was also incredible and knew exactly how to keep the crowd excited and engaged.

Natividad Sarmiento kept our room spotless every day and provided exceptional housekeeping service. Merlin Baez made every visit to Mangu restaurant feel warm and welcoming, and Chef Starlin Javier was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food.

Thank you all for making our stay unforgettable. We will return year after year because of the staff and beautiful resort.

I like that all the rooms are suites. Pools were nice, never overcrowded; however, there is only one depth so it was impossible for a short person like myself to walk to the bar, get a drink, and stand and socialize in the pool like I’m used to at other resorts. Absolutely did not like that they allowed smoking of cigarettes/cigarillos in the common areas. If one person is smoking, everyone is smoking including children. Staff friendliness was hit and miss, mostly miss. They pass you in the corridors and don’t acknowledge you. You go the bar and have to flag them down from talking to a coworker to get a drink (this happened multiple times). The spa was okay but I would not recommend for the price. I think my massage therapist fell asleep a couple of times during my massage. I had to move around to get her started again. However, my daughter said her message was great which is why I said it was “okay”. The beach is nice and they have a golf cart that runs regularly to take you there.

We have had an awesome 6 day stay, our room 2407 was super comfortable and we loved our terrace jacuzzi 😊 everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We would like to thank specially the ones that we treated the most, Francellis from Concierge for all your help and consideration / Lissette the event coordinator / Domingo the waiter from the Buffet area/ Kendal who served us as SAL Restaurant / Dionas the Captain at Amor de Mar Restaurant, and Michael at the reception area.

Our room was nice with a soaking tub and hot tub on the balcony. Staff was amazing. Buffet was just ok in my opinion. A big disappointment were the \"credits\" they promised. A $90 spa credit could be redeemed $30 per day. The other $200 \"resort\" credits came with so many limitations that we really didn't an opportunity to use them. That slick marketing was enough for me to potentially book elsewhere next time as that was a large factor in booking here.

Good resort, but not quite the VIP experience advertised

We stayed at Paradisus Grand Cana in a swim-up room, which was definitely the highlight. The pool was beautiful, the beach was clean with very little seaweed, however i did notice how crowded the beach loungers are.

Food was also slightly better than the average all-inclusive.

That said, service was inconsistent. We arrived around 4 PM and our room still wasn’t ready. We also didn’t receive the welcome drink or cold towel that was listed during booking on Expedia.

Our complimentary bottle of sparkling wine took multiple follow-ups and was only delivered the day before we left.

Housekeeping was slow and sometimes left notes saying they couldn’t service the room even when it was accessible.

Food and drinks were good but never consistent—same orders often came out differently each time.

Specialty restaurant reservations were inconvenient since they must be done in person with long morning lines, so with kids we skipped them.

One thing to note, loud music plays every night until around 11 PM, and even from Building 2 we could clearly hear the bass in our room.

Checkout was fast and easy, and they did approve late checkout after we explained the earlier issues.

Overall, it’s a nice resort with great facilities, but don’t expect a true VIP experience or highly attentive service.

Travelled to Paradisus with my husband and 2 young children (1 and 5 year old) and my in-laws. The resort is very family friendly with spacious and well-kept rooms. The entire property is spotless and staff are friendly.

We booked our stay with the addition of the family concierge service which I would recommend if you have young children and are travelling with elderly parents as the concierge will assist with nightly dinner reservations and activities (otherwise, you will need to line up every morning at 9 AM in the main courtyard to book dinner reservations for the evening - this is probably the biggest negative I can think of for the resort as it is an inefficient system).

There are lots of activities for kids to do in the separate kids club and a fantastic water park (Aquazone) that is great for all ages, with lots of seating and a snack bar/restaurant. The beach is about a 15-20 min walk from the main resort area, otherwise there are golf carts that run frequently that will take you down. The water park is about a 10 min walk straight up from the main drop off point at the beach if you don't want to wait for a cart - the walk is easy and mostly shaded. The beach area has a separate area that is roped off for family concierge guests and there is an extended walkway onto the beach itself with seating directly next to the walkway, so it is easy to maneuver strollers and wheelchairs.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would happily come back again!

There’s a shuttle that takes you around to the other properties like the casino and waterpark beach club. Very nice hotel would highly recommend

This resort lacks staff it was evident during our one week stay.

My family and I with my two children 8 and 11 stayed in a swim up room with family concierge. Our room was lovely kids loved to swim in a mostly private swimming area it was the highlight of our stay. They got a treat drawer filled each day with treats for them. We had our fridge also filled daily with drinks and upon request when needed. The only downside I had was I didn't find the mattress overly comfortable and for that reason didn't sleep well the whole week. I found it so uncomfortable that I debated on sleeping in the lounger outside if it wasn't for the bugs outside at night.

This resort has one main pool and it's large enough that it's never crowded. Everyday they have activities in the pool that are fun for the kids. During our stay we never had an issue locating a bed or chair by the pool for our family they had plenty. Near the pool was an espresso/ ice cream bar which was a nice touch and was well used . The kids loved the ice cream and candy selection.

Although the resort wasn't directly on the water the resort provided a shuttle service to the beach which was well received. We never had to wait long for it however depending on the time during the day it could be crowded. We only went to the beach twice during our stay and enjoyed it both times.

Staff was lacking in the resort. It was noticeable during meal times It took along time to get drinks. The food wasn't great had better in DR.

If you want a vacation with tonnes of toddlers completely dominating your experience, then this is it. First off the resort and rooms are beautiful, but it stops there. The food is the worst I have ever seen. The buffet experience was terrible, we never got drink service, tables were filthy and we were tasked with finding our own tables for dinner. Buffet was extremely small for a resort of this size and selection was the least I've seen. The open air bar staff were also extremely rude when ordering drinks. The al acarte service was good but again the food was terrible. The beach bar was another terrible experience, to the point where my kids didn't want to go by themselves. The food at the beach grill was limited and always running out, the gentleman cooking was always grumpy. I am on vacation and don't want to be treated this way by people who hate the guests. Never once did we receive drink service at the beach. We stopped receiving bar fridge and snack service in the room for the last 3 days even though I tipped everyday he showed up. The room service food was not great. There was some highlights that I need to acknowledge. Dalvin at the Nest bar was amazing, he truly is a master of his craft, I've been to resorts where 90% of the staff behave like him. The cleaning lady was excellent for building 1 first floor. Also the older security guard at the front was great. Paradisus needs to hire more ground working staff instead of concierge and timeshare people.

The 2 biggest problems with this resort are staff AND misrepresentation! Staff range from incompetent to indifferent, but misrepresentation is the biggest problem because that’s how most of us make our selection of a resort … we trust information. The ONLY people calling this a luxury resort, don’t know what luxury is. The facilities are nice, but luxury comes from guest service and the quality of food and beverage. Food was average for Punta Cana at best! If you choose this resort, choose it for size of room or the waterpark but don’t be fooled into thinking this is anything more than a solid middle tier. I have stayed at 10 different all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana … this ranks 9th!!

I absolutely had a great experience overall staying at this hotel. My room was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in! Absolutely felt at home and comfortable. The food and pool were great. The drinks from any of the bars were top-notch! Bartenders and servers were very friendly! So much fun, and we do plan to go back if we never have to deal with one person ever again.

The salesperson who sat us down was an absolute waste of our time. He was extremely condescending and one of the worst salespeople I've ever dealt with, especially on vacation when everything else was so good.

Overall, I loved the hotel and would definitely love to go back with my entire family, not just my wife and me.

The buffet was one of the best parts. The food was very good, with a nice variety, and I liked that it changed daily. The steakhouse was also solid. Mangú restaurant was just okay, nothing special. We did not get a chance to try the other restaurants.
One of the main frustrations was with requests. We mentioned multiple times that we were celebrating our anniversary, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any of the promised amenities. That was disappointing.

Our concierge, Julianna, was very kind and helpful. She assisted with a few things, including getting toys for our daughter to use at the beach and helping move our dinner reservation to an earlier time since we could not book anything before 9:30 PM ourselves. She was great.

The rest of the service needs improvement. The front desk gave us the wrong bracelets at check-in, and we only fixed it 24 hours before departure. They also were not very helpful when answering basic questions like pool hours etc.

The beach was clean and beautiful, but there was no service unless you were in the VIP area. If you wanted a drink, you had to go to the bar yourself. Same at the pool. It was much easier to just get drinks on your own because service was very slow, and it felt like they did not have enough staff.

Expedia should specify that the $90 spa credit is really 3 vouchers of $30 each for separate treatments of OVER 50 minutes. The Paradisus doesn’t let you combine and 70-minute massages are $215 U.S.!

Unsure how this resort has such high ratings but we fell for it. My husband, 10yr old and I recently stayed and DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Arrived at 2:40pm, taken off line because of “vip expedia members” then seated in lobby and forgotten about. I walked over to the front desk as we’ve been waiting for a while to check in. Finally, someone helped us! Check in was done at 3:20pm. We were told the room was not ready and check in “begins at 3pm so they could not tell us when the room would be ready” to come back. I was told by the front desk “you should speak Spanish, you look more Spanish than him” Excuse me?! How unprofessional and rude!

The food is disappointing! Not much variety, flies in and outside, drinks are hard to get, messy food stations, service is non existent and staff is unfriendly and rude.

Day beds around the main pool are impossible to get. Very limited seating all around the resort. It’s hard to get service.

Many issues with our room! The a/c kept turning off. We had people come see it and were told that it would be fixed but it wasn’t. It kept turning on & off. We had no dial tone on phone so unable to call front desk. I requested help on the app they responded that our room was not rented. Hot tub was dirty upon arrival. When asked to switch rooms, they told us none were available.

We were ready to do early check out by Day 2 but unfortunately they told us they wouldn't grant us a refund for UNUSED days

Best thing was mobile check out. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Los empleados no nos otorgaron el mismo sentimiento. La atención al cliente no es la mejor, y mienten en todo momento. Todo para manipularte y que al final les des algo de dinero. Como parte de nuestra reservación nos debían haber entregado una botella de vino espumoso. Nunca la pusieron, por mucho que lo mencionamos, siempre había una explicación para no ponerla. Se nos metió una empleada de limpieza al cuarto sin tocar la puerta oh pedir permiso cuando mi pareja y yo estábamos en un momento íntimo. También se nos otorgó unos cupones que nunca pudimos usarlos porque el hotel decía que teníamos un mínimo que gastar. No asignaron una representante cuando llegamo porque supuestamente éramos clientes VIP de Expedia, esa persona no escribió cada día a cada hora para que tomáramos una charla. Al momento que le dijimos que no nos interesaba la charla, más nunca se interesó en nosotros. La variedad de alcohol no existe, son solo bebidas locales, y si tienen algo diferente , como Bacardi por ejemplo, si se acabó la botella del día ya no hay más.
El servicio al cuarto es pésimo, no solo la comida se demoró más de una hora, sino que prácticamente nada de lo que había en la carta estaba disponible.
En fin, Expedia debería comunicarse con el hotel y asegurarse que el nivel de servicio el hotel promete es cumplido. Yo me siento engañado y aunque el hotel estaba lindo y cómodo, no regresaré más.

Fantastic resort, especially if you have children! We’ve been to a few “five star” resorts that did not live up to their rating- but this one certainly did. The room was gorgeous, bed was comfortable, food 10/10, resort was very clean (especially public bathrooms), and the beach was stunning. I’ve been at “family resorts” before but I’ve never experienced one quite like this. There were multiple activities every day for children that spanned throughout the day into the evening.
The only downfalls were the buffet was a bit small for the size of the resort - there is only 1 public pool (aside from the kids water park) so if you didn’t have children, you basically didn’t have a place to escape to be around adults only (I’m not complaining - I know this is not an adults only resort, I just didn’t expect there to be SO many children) - and they don’t allow for online restaurant reservations.

What really upsets me is when you stay for 2 to 3 days you can't get in to any of the nice restaurants that you need reservations. You pay so much money and the resort does not help you with any reservations.

I supposedly had Expedia VIP access but upon early arrival I was not assisted or told to go make reservation for dinner and no one spoke to me for assistance.

Resort is in the top half of the 20+ places I've stayed in the Dominican Republic and staff is very friendly, helpful and caring.

I did appreciate being able to check bags last day after checkout, go on excursion, then return to be able to shower in lobby family restroom and able to eat at buffet before i left property. 8 of 10 rating

Please be aware of our experience during our stay at Paradisus Grand Cana from March 11–16.

Our 14-month-old daughter became sick after dinner one evening with symptoms consistent with suspected food poisoning, including vomiting followed by two days of diarrhea. Later in the stay, both my wife and I also became ill within hours after eating, with similar symptoms overnight. This resulted in multiple nights of little to no sleep and extended time confined to our room caring for our sick child.

While we understand that illness can occur while traveling, the timing and pattern of symptoms were very concerning. We reported the issue during our stay and followed up afterward, providing documentation, but no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered.

In addition, my wife’s tomato allergy was not consistently respected, making some meals inedible, and a personal item was lost during arrival without resolution.

The resort has nice amenities, but based on our experience, this was not the level of care or response we expected—especially when traveling with a young child.

Our room wasn’t ready at the 3pm timeframe an wasn’t ready until 4:30pm, which would’ve been fine except the reservation desk for dinner closed at 4pm so we were forced to eat at the buffet for dinner. The second day we made dinner reservations for the next three nights, then came to find out when we went for dinner the second night none of the reservations were actually made. Third and fourth night we could only get 8:30pm and 9pm reservations. The last night, we weren’t seated until 9:30pm at the steakhouse then had little service. Drinks are hard to come by unless you tip plenty and often. Very little food options for anyone with a vegetarian diet at the restaurants or anyone with a special diet. Service for anything is slow. Overall property is rundown. Very few staff members we encountered were actually nice, most were rude or disengaged. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! We aren’t sure how this place was so highly rated!

Had an amazing stay at Paradisus Grand Cana - All Suites Punta Cana!

The food was consistently good with plenty of variety, and the pool area was a standout—beautiful, spacious, and perfect for relaxing. The staff truly made the experience exceptional; everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which really elevated the whole stay.

The rooms were another highlight—very clean, spacious, and well-designed, making it easy to relax and feel comfortable throughout the trip.

The only downside was booking the à la carte dinners. It was a bit of a mission with long lineups, and I wasn’t able to reserve all the restaurants I wanted. It would be a huge improvement if they introduced an app or a more efficient booking system.

Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely come back!

We loved our swim up option. It was nice to be away from others and have our own pool with sitting area. The food was pretty good. Our favorites were Lemon Fish, the Steakhouse, and the beach side restaurant. The buffet had a great breakfast but dinner options varied. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and accommodating.

Overall, I’d rate this hotel a solid 7 out of 10. The grounds are well maintained, and there are plenty of activities offered throughout the day, which helps keep things engaging.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and clean. I stayed in the master suite and really appreciated the extra space and comfort.

Great for families, wouldn’t recommend for couples.

Cons: The food was the biggest letdown, averaging about a 4 out of 10. The buffet, in particular, was disappointing at a 2 out of 10. The steakhouse (Sal) was better at a 7, while both the Peruvian restaurant and the hibachi came in around a 6. Service was also on the slower side, and while the staff wasn’t rude, some employees seemed low-energy and not especially warm or attentive.

Room service was a miss, in some cases they forgot to restock my towels and both phones in the room didn’t work. The AC unit too awhile to cool off the room.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. However booking restaurants was a challenge for a group. Eventually finally got reservations for the last three nights but you never know when you are going to get them and when they will be confirmed.

The beach is a one to two minute ride in the trolleys so you do have to plan to make separate movements back and forth. For families with young kids and maybe a little tougher as you cannot easily go back to your room. Overall a very beautiful beach and not very difficult to find shade and a place to sit. Sandy bottom with a little bit of seaweed here and there but overall no water shoes needed.

The buffet food was excellent and the restaurants were overall very good some better than others. Part of our group was vegetarian so that was a little difficult to maneuver out the restaurants but the buffet provided a decent amount of choices.

The rooms are large and beautiful probably one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed at and so much better to work with a family of two or three kids. You never feel stifled or that you can't find anything there's plenty of space to put your clothes out and store things and we were a family of five.

There are plenty activities but you have to find ways to figure out what is happening at the app is not very clear.

The water park is nice but the slides for older kids are very slow and not fun. It wasn't something the kids cared too much about. The big area is also 51\" so you have to watch out for your kids.

This resort is absolutely stunning! The rooms, the beach, the pool, restaurants, all beautiful. It is extremely family friendly. They have a great waterpark that’s ideal for kids 10 and under, activities throughout the week, and access to Fun Republic which is a great little amusement park. My kids would hurry up to eat dinner so we could go to Fun Republic every night.

I would give this resort a 5 star if it weren’t for the food. We didn’t have access to the concierge so we had to stand in line at 9am to ask for restaurant reservations. If they had nothing available, you had to come back at 3pm to see what reservations the concierge level guests hadn’t taken and were available. We got a reservation every evening but one night. I saw empty spaces in a lot of the restaurants so I don’t think that this system is the best. But you can pay up for concierge service if you want to avoid the reservation line.
We didn’t like the buffet. The food was always cold in the buffet but there was a variety. The food in the restaurants was good but the descriptions in the menu often didn’t match what you got.

All this said, I would go back because the positives strongly outweighed the reservation shenanigans for us.

Paradisus Grand Cana – Beautiful Resort with a Few Rough Edges

We just returned from a family stay at the Paradisus Grand Cana and overall, it was a wonderful trip — though not without some hiccups worth mentioning for fellow travelers.

The Room: 10/10
Our Master Suite was absolutely stunning. My husband and I had our own private king bedroom while our kids were comfortably set up in the living area — our daughter on the pullout sofa and our son on a twin cot the hotel brought up for us. The wraparound balcony was a real highlight: beautiful, spacious, and very private. The room itself was spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. No complaints here whatsoever.

The Beach: Excellent
The beach was fantastic. We had a dedicated private area to ourselves and the attendants were genuinely attentive — regularly checking in with food, drinks, and water without us ever having to chase anyone down. This was easily the best service experience of the trip.

Service: 7/10 — Inconsistent
This is where the resort has room to grow. At the restaurants, it became something of a running joke for our family that if you ordered something, you’d receive about 75% of it. One morning my daughter’s Eggs Benedict arrived perfectly; the next morning it came out missing the hollandaise and the side. I’d order a coffee and a mimosa and only the coffee would show up. This hotel is completely disorganized and poorly managed, and my experience with their manager, Genesis, was unacceptable. Upon arriving at 6am, a staff member offered me early check-in for a cash payment due to supposed issues with their credit card system. I was told my booked room wasn’t available but that I’d be placed in another room with the agreement that I could check out late. I accepted in good faith.

Fast forward to checkout day, suddenly none of that mattered. The front desk refused to honor the late checkout and hid behind ‘hotel discretion.’ When I asked to speak to a manager, Genesis came out aggressively, accused me of lying, and showed zero interest in resolving the situation. No professionalism, no accountability, just attitude.

What’s worse is that even a simple request to call the spa to adjust my appointment was flat-out refused. It was clear that guest service is selective and entirely dependent on the membership level you are. If you’re not part of their preferred clientele, don’t expect to be treated with respect. And if you show up without a membership, may the force be with you.

I’m not a difficult guest, but this was beyond unacceptable. Between the lack of integrity, poor communication, and hostile management, this place is not worth your time or money. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else. Their sister resort which I also had access to is next door and much better. I assume Grand Cana is where they send their defunct managers.

The rooms were great, and property was in great condition. However the service was just okay and the staff seemed slightly annoyed when we were ordering food or getting drinks. The food was mediocre at best, except for Lemonfish, the ceviche was amazing and service good, the steakhouse served a decent steak but appetizers and sides were not great, we paid extra to try the lobster which was really dry, and service was lackluster.

The minibar was supposed to get restocked with what we preferred but after asking for the first two days we started going to the bars to get the drinks we wanted and restocked ourselves.

We were supposed to get a resort credit which they didn't honor at checkout.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but there were a few areas where the experience did not fully meet expectations.

The concierge team was courteous, but staff engagement felt inconsistent. We had to follow up several times for dinner reservations, and on two occasions during our short stay, the reservations were not made at all. The shows were very entertaining and well produced, but seating was limited unless you arrived early.

The pool area was excellent — clean, spacious, and enjoyable. However, there were not enough umbrellas to provide proper shade. While we understand that the daybed-style cabanas are a premium option, adding more standard umbrellas would greatly improve guest comfort.

Transportation to the beach was also an inconvenience. The shuttle service was slow, with longer-than-expected wait times, and we often chose to walk instead. The spa facilities were nice, but very expensive, and in our opinion did not offer good value for the cost.

Overall, the property has many positive aspects, but improvements in service consistency and guest logistics would make a noticeable difference.

We were at the resort with our daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren (4 & 6) and our son-in-law's parents.

The resort was perfect for our 5 day stay. The property was immaculate, the one-bedroom suite with a large balcony worked well, the waterslides and Fun Republic were a great diversion for the kids - they were even excited by the turtles and the koi in the water feature in the lobby. The beach was a 5-7 minute ride on a golf cart (which they had fun riding on) - they even managed to walk back from the beach one day when we couldn't get on the golf cart to come back (no \"line\" made for an \"every man for himself\" situation getting on the cart at the beach). One member of our party was looking for low sugar and gluten free options which were tough to find. They also commented that the fitness facility was not really large enough to accommodate the size of the resort. All in all it was a great stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this resort if you are travelling with children. As there were a LOT of young children at the resort (which was fine for us) if you are travelling as adults only, you might want to select a different property.

Speciality restaurants were hit and miss. Did not have all the menu items and sometimes dishes were missing key ingredients. The wait was sometimes long and sometimes not. Getting reservations for a big group was a challenge especially with younger children who could not stay up for an 8 p.m. reservation. Some wait staff spoke very unclear English. I hear the problem with people hogginng bala beds by the pool has been dealt with now. We stayed here last year and came back. We know not to reserve at the end of Jan. as a large group comes and the dining options are really limited. It was very busy this year but we could still enjoy the buffet. Room service is an option our group used and liked. One couple in our group found toe nail clippings on a night table in their room twice- not theirs- weird - they should have reported it. My shower water temperature varied a lot- could be scalding in a second even when I left it at the same setting. Had to use the wand to shower. The entertainment was good- but the music was often so loud it would be hard to sleep before 11 p.m. I love the set up with the suites and the pool area with lots of greenery and trees- The shuttle to the beach is great. Fun Republic and the new cafe by the pool were awesome free inclusions this year. Lost and found not good. My son left his charger in his room after he checked out and realized less than 24 hours later. They claimed to never have found it. We asked many times.

The mail pool is super nice and sometimes there’s an inflatable for the kids which the kids loved.
Kids club was awesome to get the kids out of the sun for 2 hours a day and the kids enjoyed the activities they had for them. They also enjoyed the water park (5 and 3 year old kids).
The food was really. The tapanyaki was especially fun for the kids.
Standing in line to book the à la cart restaurants was annoying and we couldn’t get the times we wanted (we were given reservations at 8:30 everyday which was too late for my kids), but we we to reception after and they were able to help change our reservations to earlier times and texted us everyday which restaurant we were booked for.
You have to reserve a cabana by the pool early (between 7-8) or else you’re not getting one.
The beach was really nice. Minimal seaweed. Beautiful white sand and blue water.
The staff was really hospitable and helpful.
Overall, we loved the hotel and plan on going back soon.

The hotel is gorgeous and perfect lcoation. the service is slow but that's probably because its an all inclusive. the food is not very good. the hotel also has you make reservations on site for dinners or else you have to eat at the buffet, but their hotel reservation system doesn't really work and they will tell you you dont have a reservation even though you waited in line in the morning for an hour to make them.

By far the best room layout for a family. We booked a Family Concierge Master Swim out room for a family of 4. Concierge was a nice addition but definitely not necessary. Food is decent, not great. No issues finding something at every meal. Tons of families with young kids. Waterpark and Fun Republic are must visit places with the kids.
