A good option for someone who wants to stay near the beach for a reasonable price.
The room is quite small, but it comes with a small kitchen and a nice balcony.
We were quite happy with it as it was only for one night but the double bed was hard and somewhat uncomfortable, a bit small for 2 people.

We booked 3 nights at Constantino's place, because we read good recommendations about the owner, as we arrived we realized that Constantino is a very nice person indeed. He went out of his way to give us the most suitable room for a mother and child, and helped us around in Chania. We loved the balcony where we had nice view of the sea from one side and the mountains from the other side. The kitchen is equipped with all what you need for cooking, There's a very nice lobby downstairs, equipped with computers for free use. Young people would love this place for sure. It's a 10-12 minutes walk from the city center, but has the benefit of quiet and relaxed environment, and being just few meters away from the very nice beach and best restaurants for a reasonable price.

We've spent two nights at Constantino's in late September this year as we travelled along the North-West of the island. Although we had booked the cheapest room, we got upgraded free of charge which was a lovely surprise. Wish we could stay for longer as the room was superb (comparing to the one we had in Stalida/Stalis). The room itself was absolutely perfect with a very nice decor and everything you would expect including toiletries and all the kitchenette's essentials. It also had a balcony with a drying rack which was very handy to have. The owner was very polite and helpful. He gave us some useful tips about the local area and helped us to carry the luggage upstairs. Besides, his English was excellent. We were also offered beach towels free of charge which was absolutely brilliant.
Constantino's is only a minute walk from the beach and very close to the city centre. The only problem I could think of was the parking space - sometimes you have to take a round or two around the place to find a free space. Nevertheless, it's a minor thing considered the central location of the place and I'm sure the owner would help you in case of any trouble.

Owner was very friendly. He told us about local places. He made us complimentary coffee in the morning although he didn't have to. He also helped us print boarding passes for return trip.

The host is great, very helpful, but not in your face all the time. our double room had a double bed, rather than the usual twins. It is probably easier to find if you start at the beach end of the street.

Great Time in Chania
Me and my friend stayed for two weeks and had a great time. We were able to visit other places in the island and go to te beach regularly as the hotel is just up the road. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

My stay in Chania was great! The appartments are located withing 10 walking to the city centre and very near to the beach. Constantino, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. If i go back to Chania (that I would probably do) I will defenetly stay there again :)

I booked the Constantinos Studios just to use as a base for a weekend while visiting friends who lived locally. Chania itself is something of a nightmare for parking, but the studios are located in a fairly quiet residential area just outside of the centre of town and I had no difficulty in finding somewhere to park on the road right by the studios. Although my stay was out of season (Feb), I suspect parking would still be ok during the summer months.
As the title of my review states, the studio was pretty basic, but this is reflected by the price. I believe the studios vary in size/layout, and being on my own I may have been allocated a small room. The bedroom area has an air-con/heater unit – as it was cold and raining for my stay, I only used the heater which very quickly and quietly made the room nice and cosy!
Furnishings wise - a standard double bed (actually very comfortable by Crete standards - not the rock-solid hard mattresses you usually find!), a tiny wardrobe (approx 18 inches wide) which contained several hangers and with a full length mirror on the door, 2 bedside tables and a small dressing table with mirror - all of these tables had an additional open shef under them for storage. There were no chests of drawers or cupboards, so you would probably struggle for storage space with a week or more worth of holiday clothes etc..
The bathroom – shower only - is compact. The shower has a shower curtain (not always found in Cretan accommodation!). One slight negative, the toilet cistern/ballcock (?) was broken, so the top of the cistern had been removed and the toilet had to be flushed by pulling on a small pipe – that worked perfectly well, but not ideal! I suspect this will be fixed fairly soon though! Also note that there is no storage or any shelves to store toiletries other than the corners of the sink.
The ‘kitchen’ is very basic – a 2-ring electric counter-top stove, and a full size under-counter fridge with small freezer compartment. Along the same wall is the sink (no drainer – just the sink) and about 18 inches of work top. There were 5 cupboards, sufficient for a holiday stay. However, the cooking/food prep utensils and crockery etc. are VERY limited – 1 saucepan, 1 small milk/water pan (typically for Crete, no kettle) 1 fry pan (definitely seen better days and I didn’t therefore use), a plastic (well worn) colander, 2 plates, 2 bowls, 3 assorted (and chipped!) mugs and an old, much used small chopping board. Cutlery wise – an odd assortment of 2 knives, 2 forks and 2 dessert spoons only! And that was it! Don’t expect to be easily able to knock up a full meal, but it’s adequate for breakfast and snacks.
The kitchen opens out on to a fair sized balcony via triple sliding doors and has 2 plastic chairs and table, plus a clothes-airer. The table and chairs easily fit in the kitchen for indoor dining.
Overall, the studio size was just enough to accommodate and walk round the furniture, but as I said, I think I may have had the smallest one as I was on my own. There are also plenty of well placed power points for using/charging gadgets/hairdryer (no hairdryer supplied) etc.
The ground floor of the studios houses the internet café – Approx 20 (?) computer stations and very quick internet connection (sufficient to watch a football match on live streaming!). The café also has a small bar offering coffee and alcoholic beverages.
There are several bars/restaurants within easy walking distance and there is a local beach (can’t comment on quality as I visited out of season). There are plenty of places to buy food/provisions within 20 mins walk or a 2 min walk, including a good size INKA supermarket.
Kostas was very helpful and accommodating. He speaks perfect English and was happy to help with all my questions.
Overall I would recommend the studios as a good budget-priced base.

Constantino's is a family own hotel with a very friendly pleasant host.
Its' located very close to the beach (2 min walk) on a calm and quiet street, also
takes just about 10-15 min walk to the main city center and old town of Chania. We've been here several times and will return again.

Första besöket på Constantinos Studios
Om du inte har upplevt Constantinos gästfrihet så har du verkligen missat nåt! Han är en riktigt bra person. Han gör allt i sin makt för att få sina gäster att trivas. Jag besökte Chania för första gången och det blev en underbar upplevelse tack vare Constantinos. Hotellet ligger en kort promenad från Nea Chora Beach och därifrån kan du ta en trevlig promenad till gamla stan längs havet. Mitt rum var ganska stort och hade två stora dubbelsängar trots att jag reste ensam. När Constantinos informerade mig om att han fick gäster som krävde ett stort rum, flyttade jag till ett mindre rum. Rummet hade ett kök utrustat med allt du behöver. Mitt enda klagomål skulle vara att några av apparaterna skulle behöva ersättas. Jag föreslår att de gamla TV-apparaterna ersätts med nyare modeller, eftersom mina inte fick in en enda kanal, men iofs vem är i Chania för teven ändå? :-)

Constantino's Studios is a well situated hostel run by a very sympathetic and helpful owner. My room was equipped with a private bathroom, a small kitchen with a fridge and other basic accessories. Some excursions may be arranged on the spot (I did not take advantage of this opportunity); if you want to travel on your own (as it was my case) the owner may give you practical advice how to do it in the best way.

Hyvin rauhallinen pieni hotelli, jossa kaikki tarpeellinen oli saatavilla. Kävelymatkaa vanhaan kaupunkiin vajaa kilometri, Nea Horan rannalle ehkä 300 m. Huoneeni oli pihan puolelle, ainoastaan vastapäisen rakennuksen parvekkeella videopelejä täydellä volyymillä pelannut poika aiheutti pienen hetken hiukan häiriötä. Aurinko ei koskaan päässyt paistamaan suoraan tähän huoneeseen (nro 2), joten kuumuus ei noussut tukahduttavaksi - jouduin käyttämään ilmastointia vain kerran.

Sängyt olivat leveitä ja sopivan kovia. WC:n tuuletin oli hiukan meluisa, keittiövarusteissa olisi voinut olla hiukan parantamisen varaa.

Läget är bra med ett par minuter ner till stranden och 10-15 minuter in till centrala Chania och hamnområdet innanför muren. Studios är välutrustade, rena och i bra skick. Constantinos är mån om att man trivs och hjälper gärna till med tips på utflyckter och sevärdheter.

Jag var tvingen att bo på hotell ca en vecka då jag renoverar mitt hus i Chordaki. Valde därför ett billigt men trevligt ställe som många skrivit positivt om. Trevlig hotellägare och funktionellt boende. Ingen lyx men,,trevligt. Stranden ligger mycket nära och restauranten till höger gatan ned, på strandpromenaden har blivit en klar favorit. Den till vänster var däremot dålig med usel service o förfärlig mat.

Hotellet ligger 200 meter fra dejlig strand. Her er mange gode restuaranter hvor grækerne også spiser. Det tager kun ca. 15 minutter at gå til Chania. Ejern og hans kone er meget venlige.

El alojamiento es perfecto para lo que buscábamos, muy cerca del centro y de la playa, con una pequeña cocinilla para el desayuno. Con todas las comodidades y muy limpio. Además, el dueño nos acogió con hospitalidad y amabilidad, informándonos de qué visitar en Creta según los días que teníamos en la isla. Totalmente recomendable y volveríamos allí sin dudarlo si volviésemos a Creta otra vez. La isla es maravillosa y nos quedaron cosas por ver.

Hotellet ligger nära havet och med gångavstånd till centrum. Olika rum har olika standard. Jag bodde i två olika. Ena köket var mycket dåligt utrustat, det andra var något bättre. Sympatisk värd som fixade och ordnade när något behövdes och fanns tillgänglig hela dagen och kvällen. Han skjutsade till busstationen sista morgonen, mycket uppskattat.

gros problème de surbooking à notre arrivée
malgré une réservation depuis janvier 2014 pour 3 nuits en Aout 2014, soit 7 mois à l'avance, à notre arrivée, AUCUN STUDIO DE DISPONIBLE à notre nom, et pas d'autre choix que de séjourner dans un autre hôtel réservé par Mr constantino mais ne correspondant pas à nos critères. Nous avions choisi constantino 's studios pour son emplacement, l'espace du studio(20m2) et surtout l'opportunité d'y préparer certains de nos repas, et nous avons du passer 3 nuits dans une chambre d'hôtel d 'à peine 9m2 ... nous ne pouvons de ce fait pas être satisfait de notre réservation malgré la sympathie et la gentillesse de Mr constantino qui a tenté de résoudre ce problème de surbooking comme il a pu... Maintenant reste à savoir si c'est une pratique courante en haute saison ou une simple erreur humaine... Malgré tout, nous estimons que ce genre d'impondérable est inadmissible surtout lorsqu'on réserve 7 mois à l'avance pour justement pouvoir choisir aisément notre logement à Chania. Notre déception nous empèche donc à regret de recommander cet hôtel dans lequel nous n'avons hélas pas pu séjourner et qui pourtant correspondait à tout nos critères de sélection. Un conseil si vous réservez, assurez vous que votre réservation a bien été prise en compte auprès de Mr Constantino en lui demandant une confirmation de maintenir son engagement jusqu'à votre arrivée. Aux vue des bons commentaires sur constantino's studio en général sur plusieurs site, j'imagine que le séjour doit y être agréable.

Ett medelmåttigt hotell som vinner på att ägaren är supertrevlig och hjälpsam. Hissen trasig, ingen servering men ägaren bjöd på kaffe varje morgon. Lite si och så med varmvatten. Nära strand och ca 15 minuters gångavstånd till Gamla stan och busstation.

\"Luxury studios\"står det på skylten men det är långt ifrån lyxigt. Ganska mörka rum och väldigt lyhört. Duschstrålen är så svag att det går snabbare att tvätta håret i handfatet. Hissen funkar inte och kortmaskinen är också \"out of service\" så det blir att ta ut i kontanter för att betala rummet.
Trots detta skulle jag rekommendera hotellet och jag skulle komma tillbaka.

I cant recommend this hotel enough. Wonderful host Costas will help you with anything you need, the location couldnt be better. 1 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach and still just a short walk from city center.

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, sauberes Zimmer und super zentrale Lage um zu Fuß zum Stand (1min) und zu Fuß in die Altstadt (10-15 min) zu gelangen. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung.
Auch sehr geeignet um die Umgebung mit einem Mietwagen zu erkunden wie die wunderschönen Strände Balos (60 min), Falassarna (45 min) und Elafonissi (90 min). Das Zimmer wird alle 2 Tage gereinigt. Das Bad ist etwas klein aber für ein paar Tage ist es mehr als ausreichend.

Vi bodde på hotellet i 7 netter. Rommet (nr 8) var typisk to-stjerners . Vi er imidlertid ikke så opptatt av luksus, da vi kun bruker rommet til å sove. Vi satt på verandaen med kaffe hver morgen og koste oss. Hotellet var kun 100 meter fra stranda og gangavstand inn til gamlebyen og havna. Constantino (eieren) var superhyggelig og hjalp oss med alle spørsmål. Han var også en dyktig gitarist og siden jeg selv er musiker, ble dette en minnerik ferie. Vi spillte og sang hver ettermiddag. ;-). Damen som vasket rommene var veldig samvittighetsfull og vi ga henne noen euro i ny og ned. Jeg har aldri sett et menneske bli så glad for så lite. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake til Constantinos. Hilsen Eva og Bjarne.
