I felt a little scammed upon arrival. On Hotels.com and other OTAs, when you search for 2-person occupancy, you can see a room type listed as “villa (single use).” However, once you arrive, you’re told that it is only for single occupancy—that’s what “single use” means.

To stay, we ended up paying an additional $300 for two nights, bringing our total cost to $1,000 for two people. At that price, you can find far better options in this area.

Also, some of the amenities are very old and worn out. We tried their Muay Thai session and were given very poor gloves with zero wrist support. The coaches didn’t provide hand wraps either. When I asked for better gloves for safety, I was told we would need to pay for a private session just to get proper wrist-support equipment.

Overall, at $500 per night, this place feels like a rip-off.

Our honeymoon at Robinsons Khao Lak was truly spectacular! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the resort facilities and the food to the exceptional friendliness of the staff. Thank you for making our trip so special and memorable.

Although we came as a couple this time, we are already planning to return with our entire family in the future. We are sure our family would have an equally wonderful time here!

The only small issue we encountered was that it was quite difficult to get a Bolt taxi around the resort area, which made transportation challenging at times. If this minor inconvenience could be addressed, this resort would be absolutely perfect.

The staff, cleaning, food, and entertainment were excellent.

The only issue was with smoking in swimming pools, on the beach, neighbor's balcony.

Also, my wife got some bacteria and had to go to the International clinic for the intravenous infusion procedure. It was very expensive procedure $1000 US.

We stayed full board in a private villa with pool. It was gorgeous with the pool (5011) surrounded by greenery and a view over the property so it was pretty private.
Staying in a villa meant you got breakfast at the smaller Terrace restaurant right on the beach. There were so many pools to choose from and areas of beach with beds etc. also miles of empty beach. We stayed outside of school holidays and although their were still a lot of babies/toddlers, it was bearable for the child free.
Restaurant was great with good variety changing daily. Lots of Thai options amongst other styles and fresh foods etc. nice to have wine and beer included too, although it was bland. The staff were very attentive and kind. We did a cooking class with the head chef which was great, and by the beah. Cocktails great (330 baht each).
We did some classes and the pavillion on the beach was amazing, but they were often in German and translated as after thought so not ideal, although Nadya was brilliant.

Evening entertainment was...great to start with. Disco on the beach for example was fab...but the music was repeated every night so got tired. The shows were amateurish and need modernised (especially the girl only show).

Snorkelling not good but sea warm and quiet. Incredible massage options right beside hotel (from 400baht an hour).
Socialising as a British youngish couple without kids was tricky. Nearly everyone was German or had kids. Entertainment team not welcoming as other resorts.

Nice resort dominated by German families

Had a lovely stay at the Robinson Club Resort - especially the location and the excellent local staff.

As an adult, non-German solo traveller, I was a bit disappointed that activities (yoga / outdoor workouts) were facilitated mainly in German, and that there were a lot of noisy children everywhere - especially at the evening entertainment that I had expected to be for adults.

Otherwise it’s a nice hotel with great facilities and amazing staff.

Overall the property is nice but dining (outside of the breakfast which is great) is poor. The beach bar food is shockingly bad. The other restaurants arent always open. There are some nice local places along the beach and surrounding area but transport from hotel is overly expensive and poorly managed. Also, I feel expedia should communicate this is a resort primarily for German visitors.

When we came the reception area looked empty and deserted and not welcoming. The receptionist didnt have the task under control and the information given was insufficient. Rooms are big as the area. A lot of activities that would have been good to use more but also places where you can stay undisturbed. Access to pools and beach is not the best. Signs could be better.

We had a nice very stay and enjoyed many of the various entertainment and sports program options including yoga at the beach pavilion. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is very friendly. The location is great and the beach beautiful. We had the full board option. The hotel provided a good choice of various delicious food including healthy options.

We were very impressed with the hotel and the food offerings are exceptional. We stayed for 5 nights and purchased half board. The evening buffet was truly amazing with a very extensive range of food much of it being prepared individually for you. Situated on a beautiful stretch of beach and an amazing pool. Fabulous!!

Een geweldig Resort met mooie zwembaden en een prachtige strand. Heerlijk rustig. Ruime kamers en vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Wel op afstand van het centrum van Khao Lak en we vonden de kosten van de hotel taxi aan de hoge kant maar wel van goede kwaliteit. Al met al een heel fijn verblijf gehad en zeker een aanrader.

Itse hotelli oli hyvä, allasalue ja palvelut hienoja mutta iltaisin soitettava musiikki kuuluu todella selvästi huoneisiin. Joten jos etsii rauhallista hotellia rentoutumiseen ja esim aikaisin nukkumiseen niin tämä ei ole oikea hotelli. Brilliant place to stay for families

We didn't like the hotel that we originally booked for and so found Club Robinson on the internet, booked and arrived within a couple of hours. Club Robinson was wonderful. It's a german owned company so we were virtually the only English speakers there. It had a really nice welcoming atmosphere, they really seemed to want everyone to enjoy their holiday together. There were lots of families with older kids which was great to see. The food was fantastic - great range for kids and adults including healthy options. Wonderful pools. Great beach. Great staff. We were really pleased that we found this resort and would highly recommend it. There were activities for the kids available but we didn't partake as we were the only English speakers, although the staff would have all spoken English and welcomed our children, I'm sure. Lovely beach bars. Good sized rooms. Just wonderful.

Tennis holiday

Stayed at Robinson Club while playing in a tennis tournament which was well organized. Overall an efficient stay, hotel has good facilities, staff for the most part (in the main restaurant, housecleaning, at the sports facilities etc) were friendly and helpful. However, asked for a slightly late check-out (to noon / 12:30pm) as I had to play a tennis match that morning which was postponed from the previous evening due to the court's lights not working, the reception manager requested that I pay the half-day rate even though when I asked she confirmed the hotel is not full. I also told them that I had to go to reception to make the request as the room phone was not working, they did not seem to care and did not offer to have a technician to come & check it out. That was not a good impression on customer service but to be fair most other staff experiences were good, and the check-in & actual check-out processes were efficient. Wifi was terrible, in & out mostly out during the last day perhaps due to the rain? Between the experiences with the tennis court lighting, the room phone and the wifi, the property does feel a bit dated and can probably use a hardware update

Die Anlage ist wunderschön es gibt aber einige Punkte die im Vergleich zu anderen Robinson Clubs schlechter abschneiden darunter leider das essen am Abend und Mittags das kommt nicht an das Niveau von zb. Pamfilya ran. Die Gerichte wiederholen sich ziemlich schnell. Was auch nicht geht ist das wenn mann draußen sitzen möchte muss mann eine Flasche Wein bestellen und die Tische im inneren gibt es nur ein paar Tische im klimatisierten Bereich und mann sitzt da im Durchgangsverkehr der rest der Tische ist im nicht klimatisierten Bereich und man wird da regelrecht aufgefressen von den insekten. Also bei 11T Euro für eine Woche kann man viel mehr erwarten. Abendprogramm ist auch keineswegs Vergleichbar mit anderen Clubs. Und letztes Jahr gab es genau das gleiche Programm wie dieses Jahr an Ostern. Letztes Jahr war das Essen auch besser. Dieses Jahr wurden auch viele Aktivitäten einfach kurzfristig abgesagt.
Zimmer und Villen sind super und auch sehr sauber. WLAN ist auch super. Die ausenpool waren extrem warm hier wäre evtl runterkühlen sinnvoll. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub aber für den Preis gibt es viele besser Anlagen mir besseren Service

Die Anlage ist riesig, die Sportmöglichkeiten mit gym und kursen wie hot iron, cycling, thai boxing mehr als in anderen Hotels.
280000 qm mal eine Ansage. Es gibt zwar nicht viele Möglichkeiten ohne Taxi in der Umgebung aber mit get your guide viel möglich.

Alles hochwertig und gepflegt
Auch international gemischtes Publikum, daher zum Glück nicht das Gefühl einer deutschen Enklave.
Einziges Manko: laute Musik 21:30 bis 24h
Tagsüber keine poolparty, das war gut. Nur abends ziemlich laut. Manche möchten doch zur Erholung und nicht für Party wegfahren, das fand ich störend
23h und dann leiser fände ich persönlich besser.

Das Alter war ja nicht U30 sondern Familien und Leute ab 45.

Jeg vil starte med at sige, at hotellet var okay og deres strand var fantastisk. Men hotellet var slidt, udearealet var ikke vedligeholdt.
Meen det største problem var, at poolen er alt for varm og beskidt. Vandet er varmere end luften, så næsten alle badet ude i havet. Af den grund vil vi aldrig komme tilbage.

Let’s start with the positives:
The food is truly top-notch. Excellent quality, outstanding taste, and absolutely nothing to complain about. The resort itself is very beautiful and well maintained. The beach is wonderful, and the sports offering is impressive as well. The staff is, for the most part, very friendly and attentive.

Now to the negative points:

Unfortunately, the rooms are clearly outdated and poorly maintained. In our view, and judging by photos of the previous hotels on the site, there has been no fundamental renovation in the past 20 years. And where renovations may have taken place, the quality appears to have been very poor.

From our perspective, the room quality is below that of a three-star hotel. The lack of sound insulation is particularly problematic: you can clearly hear your neighbors talking through the air conditioning system. That is not what we would consider a relaxing stay.

If you value spending time in your room or having peace and quiet, we would not recommend this resort. Given the room quality, we find the prices unreasonably high.

Another point of criticism concerns the transfer to the city. It is only offered at an additional charge and only if at least four guests join together. For couples, this effectively means relying on Uber or Bolt, both of which are difficult to obtain since the hotel is very remote and many drivers are reluctant to take the trip. We would have expected a higher level of service from a Robinson Club.

Das Zimmer,Personal eigentlich alles sehr gut auser die Preise. Finde es sehr schade das man die Preise im Hotel so Hochschraubt für das essen Getränke etz… die Preise sind ja fast gleich hoch wie bei uns in der Schweiz. Wen sie die Preise tiefer setzen würden, würden mehr Menschen kommen und am Schluss würden sie sogar noch mehr Gewinn erzielen.

Wir haben ein sogenanntes „Upgrade“ bekommen, hatten dadurch aber keinen private Pool, der aber gebucht wurde. Zudem war der Pool ständig dreckig, das Servicepersonal hat sich nicht zuständig gefühlt und bei einem Anruf an der Rezeption einfach aufgelegt. Wir haben zudem für den letzten Tag eine Breakfast-Tüte bestellt. Diese Bestellung wurde jedoch nicht durchgeführt, so wären wir ohne Frühstück dagestanden, hätten wir am Vorabend nicht noch einmal extra darauf hingewiesen. Eine Reservierung im hoteleigenen Restaurant wurde ohne Mitteilung einfach storniert. Daher mussten wir uns ein Taxis in die nächste Stadt nehmen, um zu essen. Hierbei wurde uns überhaupt nicht entgegengekommen. Das Frühstück auf der Terrace war gut. Das Zimmer war oberflächlich zwar sauber, aber auch sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nur teilweise geputzt. Die Türen im Bad, die Fenster und die Terrasse waren sehr dreckig, der Pool wie gesagt auch. In der Lobby stehen Fische in einem dreckigen Wassertank und leiden. Das muss wirklich nicht sein und ist unangenehm mit anzusehen. Sonst war das Personal sehr freundlich, das Gym ist gut und der Strand sauber und schön. Wir würden jedoch nicht noch einmal kommen. Es gibt weitaus bessere Hotels in Thailand / Khao Lak, die zuverlässiger, kompetenter und kundenorientierter arbeiten.

Tolles Hotel mit wunderschönem Strand. Durchgehend sehr gutes Essen über alle Mahlzeiten hinweg. Das Personal ist bemüht, den Gästen einen guten Aufenthalt zu bieten. Das Hotel bietet auch ein Meet&Greet für Alleinreisende an, was den Aufenthalt entsprechend noch schöner gestaltet hat.

Einige Punkte erlauben jedoch keine 5 Sterne (jammern auf hohem Niveau):

- Die Beschriftung der Speisen enthalten keine Allergenen-Informationen. Für Allergiker ein wichtiges Kriterium.
- Das Hotel ist zwar gepflegt doch in die Jahre gekommen. Unterhaltsarbeiten werden nicht konsistent durchgeführt (bspw. Handtuchring im Bad war schon abgebrochen als ich eingecheckt habe & wurde auch in diesen 7 Tagen nicht repariert // Fliesen im Brunnen beim Speisesaal fehlen/kaputt usw.).
- Beim Check-In hätte ich mir beim Aushändigen des Flyers eine kurze Orientierungshilfe durch das Personal gewünscht oder auch, dass sie mir als Solo-Traveller das entsprechende Meet&Greet vorschlagen. Das Hotelangebot wurde gar nicht beworben.

Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit wenigen Punkten zum bemängeln. Dennoch komme ich sehr gerne wieder.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Ein wunderschöner Ort um zu entspannen. Toller Strand, viele Sportmöglichkeiten und super Personal. Die Kinderbetreuung und Abendveranstaltungen haben uns sehr gefallen.

Auch wenn die Zimmer langsam in die Jahre kommen war alles top gepflegt und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit.
Die Animation tagsüber ist nicht vergleichbar mit anderen Robinson Club, das liegt aber natürlich auch an dem etwas anderen Konzept und daran, dass vier Gäste tagsüber auf Ausflpgen sind. Hier war unser Ausflug in den Khao Sok Nationalpark besonders empfehlenswert.

Finns så mycket positivt med Robinson Khao Lak. Till att börja med, trevlig personal. Man får ett personligt bemötande, familjärt. Ett stort hotel man man får aldrig känslan av att det är trångt eller svårt att få plats. Maten, är förträfflig i alla avseenden. Ingen tråkig buffé-känsla utan flera olika stationer med mat som serveras upp framför dig. Stort utbud på olika maträtter som varieras varje kväll. Det är en upplevelse när man går till restaurangen. Vår vistelse var under Halloween. Vi fick vara med ett Halloween firande som var minst sagt imponerade. Personalen hade klätt ut sig, spökrunda och massor av upptåg. Robinson Khao Lak 10 stjärnor.

Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und die gesamte Anlage müsste renoviert werden. Pool hat auch kleinere Defekte welche bereits länger nicht behoben wurden. Aber für den Preis gibt es tolles Essen, viel Ruhe und das Sportangebot ist großartig.

Im ersten Zimmer war die Spülung des Klo’s defekt und der Ablauf der Dusche sehr langsam.
Im Neuen Zimmer war dann die Klobrille noch sehr dreckig.

Beim Room-Service wurden mehrmals die Handtücher zwar mitgenommen aber keine neuen da gelassen :/

Late Check Out war auch erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen möglich obwohl die Anlage halb Leer ist.

Ansonsten war alles sehr toll direkt am Strand reichlich Möglichkeiten den Tag zu gestalten und alle sind nett:)

Dejligt sports hotel med masser af træning

En super fint resort, som tilbyder en masse aktiviteter. Masser har sports aktiviteter, holdtræning mm. dog skal man være opmærksom på at det stort set kun undervises på Tysk - hvilket er lidt problematisk for engelske talende gæster. Fine spise mulighder og god mad - der er dog lidt langt til byen hvis man vil prøver andre muligheder. Servicen er i top, og stranden og pools er perfekt.

Das ganze Team vom Robinson ist wirklich top, besonders wenn auch mal etwas nicht klappt, sind sie sofort da und helfen wo sie nur können.
Was unseren Sohn richtig Freude gemacht hat, war das Fußball Camp mit DeDe, echt ein tolles Angebot.

Wir sind sehr Zufrieden mit unseren Urlaub. Die Unterkunft war sehr gut . Nachteil war das die Putzfrauen immer das komplett Licht angelassen hat ( Mücken ) und es wurde nicht einmal durchgewischt in den 9 Tagen . Von Frühstück waren sehr begeistert .

Der Club liegt eingebettet in eine tropische Vegetation, die Pflanzen und Blumenvielfalt ist ein Highlight. Selbst bei Regen kommt man trotz allem überdacht und im Freien zu den Restaurants. Das Essensangebot ist perfekt abgestimmt auf die regionale Küche bietet aber auch genügend europäisches.
Die Pools sind so groß und perfekt in die Anlage integriert, dass jeder eine ruhige Liege findet.

Extrem scharfe Kieselstein Fliesen im Privat Pool welche zu einigen Wunden an Händen und Beinen geführt haben

Sehr schöne exklusive und sehr gepflegte Anlage mit mega Essen.
Traumstrand mit riesigen Palmen, tollen Pools und mega Service. Clubchef Adam leistet hier großartige Arbeit und motiviert sein Team zu Bestleistungen damit der Urlaub auch zu einem wunderbaren Urlaub wird! Danke nochmal an das gesamte Team!
Super Anbindung an den Flughafen in Phuket. Die Lage des Hotels hat den schönsten Strandabschnitt in der ganzen Umgebung, die Anlage ist sehr schön mit vielen Palmen und vielen Pools, drei Abschnitte mit tollen Liegen direkt am schönen Strand der sehr sauber ist.

Zimmer:
Sehr schöne und saubere Zimmer, der Zimmerservice ist perfekt, kommt abends nochmal um nach dem rechten zu sehen.
Wir hatten eine Poolvilla, unglaublich toll und exclusiv, mit einem riesigen Privatpool und Whirlpool. Die Villengäste können auf der Terassa mit Lage direkt am Meer frühstücken, sehr exklusiv, daher empfehle ich auf jeden Fall eine Villa zu nehmen. Es gibt viele verschiedene Größen.
Service:
Der Service im Club ist sensationell! Hier bedanke ich mich nochmal bei allen Servicekräften. Besonders muss ich hier Goi erwähnen, die uns jeden Tag mit ihrem mega Service diesen zu einem wundervollen Tag gemacht hat!

Essen:
Besser geht es nicht!! Hier macht Chefkoch Vindika mit seinem Team einen wunderbaren Morgens, mittags, abends ein tolles Speiseangebot. Was ich euch empfehlen muss, ist der Brunch am Donnerstag auf der Terassa! Der Brunch kostet einen kleinen Aufpreis, ist aber jeden Cent wert!

Das Hotel war sendstionell schön. Die ganze Anlage sauber, schön und grosszügig. Viele Wege die man gehen kann um z.B. zum Zimmer zu kommen (nach den ersten 2 Essen mussten wir recht suchen😀).
Das Essen war ober sensationell. Es hatte viel Auswahl und zum Glück auch viel Thai Essen👍. Wir haben also zugenommen.
Der Strand ebenfalls sensationell, nicht überfüllt, Liegestühle die nicht bereits Morgens früh besetzt waren, wir konnten auf beide Seiten Stundenlang am Strand spatzieren gehen. Top👍. Wir hatten eine Pool Villa. Zimmer war sehr schön, geräumig und immer sauber. Der Pool leider mit vielen Baumnadeln und nur über Mittag mit Sonne. Wir waren gerade 2x im Pool (nach den Tagesausflügen). Aber wer braucht schon einen Pool, bei diesem Sandstrand. Personal Allgemein sehr, sehr freundlich, nett und Hilfsbereit. Noch Kurz gesagt: ein Top Ferienadresse und sehr zu empfehlen. Hat uns sehr, sehr gut gefallen

Entspanntes Hotel mit wunderbarem Strand und mehreren Pools. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Bungalows mit privatem Pool. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden.
