Relaxed to the max

Loved our stay at Beyond Khao Lak. We went at the beginning of the wet season but had good weather, with only 1 day out of 9 overcast for the entire day, but still hot. The resort was fabulous and the value for money was amazing. I found the pillows and bed a little too firm for my liking but one call to housekeeping and it was all fixed the next day. The included meals in our package were all great and the massages at the spa were fabulous. All the staff were lovely and ready to assist with the smallest request. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this resort.

Almost all rooms view the back of another room. If pay for meals etc while there with a credit card, they charge 3%. Didn't have to pay this when I stayed on an island, so not sure why they do this. Can't drink the water in rooms, so must buy bottled water. They give you one free one a day - not enough. Bed was a hard foam wedge as far as I could tell.

An oasis of comfort, space and quality

This is a wonderful hotel with great staff and excellent facilities, and a beautiful clean beach from which the sunsets are magnificent.

We returned to this hotel because we just had to come back. It is such a great place to stay. The spacious and comfortable bedrooms, the luxury pools, the excellent restaurants and the wonderful sunset beach make this a perfect place to wind down and relax.

Being so close to probably the cleanest nicest beach we saw in Thailand was brilliant, but our Palm Villa Premier room was enormous and comfy as well. Buffet breakfast is delicious but go up or down the beach for dinner, there's lots of good value options.

Gorgeous room and pools, really let down by food.

Lovely welcoming and straight into our gorgeous room. Huge, clean, good decor, big bed and good shower, also seperate relaxation area. Grounds initially looked unkept but were being done as we were there and did look much better by the end of our 1wk stay. The hotel itself was quite far out from Khao Lak centre which the manager informed me was one of the reasons people chose the hotel on his reply to my initial check in review. Maybe, but its hard to tell from a map so worth pointing out.
Pool area lovely except for machinery going on all day for most of the days we were there due to renovations of beachfront apartments - did unfortunately dampen the relaxation element of the area.
Handy minibuses into the centre and local market at a reasonable but only a few starting at 1pm which wasnt the most convenient but they were happy to ring for a taxi as an alternate.
Biggest let down -why I wouldnt recommend- was the food. On arrival we were told we'd have to pay 350 Baht, around £8 each per day for breakfast adding £112 to our room cost. Given the location we figured we had no choice. After 2 days we cancelled it as gone off milk on the first day and we saw anta on and around the food both days. We were refunded upon check out after complaining which I did appreciate. We bought food from the town for breakfast in the room instead. Lunch and dinner we had were also a let down with being served nuts after informing the waiter in Thai I was allergic!

5 star hotel right on the beach. Very quiet.

Toilet problems three days in our villa. Had to go up to restaurant toilets until fixed. Two days without hot water. But we had bad weather at that time. Too far away from the main hub of Thailand. Costly travel expense. Overall a lovely resort. Suited more for honeymooners and people who just love quiet and relaxation.

Even it is a clouldly day, I still enjoy the pool a lot. Great pool and all staff is very friendly and helpful. There show is very impresove, Pilipino singer is so great. I can not wait to go back.
Nearby resturant, Mama Lek, very great with reasonable price.

Very good overall

Had a lovely time at the Beyond Resort. Drinks and food a bit expensive compared to outside but much the same as everywhere else. WiFi was a bit patchy and have to sign in frequently which is a nuisance.
Water pressure in the room wasn't great, but apart from those few minor issues everything else was very good. Service was excellent and all staff friendly.
There are a couple of good restaurants at the entrance, particularly Sunrise which was so good we ate there virtually every night.
Beach and Pools were good, particularly important as weather was Hot and Sunny the whole time we were there.

A good choice in this location

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Our economy room was huge and had a workable design which is great for me as I suffer back and knee pain. The grounds and many pool option was cleverly desigbed which means that it never felt crowded. If I was going to be tough I would suggest the dining was a bit expensive but there were great Thai resturants just outside the hotel that provided genuine Thai food cheap.

Simply WONDERFUL A+++++

This place is wonderful. Focused on couples who want to experience the best Thailand has to offer. Beyond Resort is 5 STARS at it's best. Villas are private and beautifully located. Staff are friendly and happy to cater for ALL your needs. Breakfast food is great and certainly more than you could as for. We loved the wonderful landscape and access to the beach.
There is daily evening entertainment. Please make sure you ask singing waiters Eddy and Alma to sing some of the Elvis Presley songs. You will enjoy it :)

We will be back next at Easter next year! Tickets already booked :)

Great place to relax

Wonderful, quiet place to relax and enjoy the tropical weather and the wonderful nature in Thailand. Compared to Phuket, the beaches are much more quiet near Khaolak. The hotel and its surroundings has everything to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The hotel has several swimming pools, its own beach area, different bars and restaurants with great food variety, a spa with several massage and beauty possibilities, spacious modern rooms. And if you want to make excursions, the hotel offers several possible tours to different islands, national parks, temples, etc.

Watch the sunset over the sea from the pool

Upon our arrival, the lady that checked us in and escorted us to the room provided the most thorough and professional service we have ever experienced. V good breakfast to start the day off and then long 2 hour walk along a deserted and beautiful beach. Nice swimming area directly in front of the hotel and the swimming pool is one of the nicest. If you appreciate a beautiful and rustic beach, and like pool and relaxation, this is the place. Only negative was that the Siam restaurant is very overpriced and the quality simply does not justify. There are so many great restaurants with in minutes of the resort that prepare delicious food for just a few dollars. All in, we had a great stay and can easily recommend this resort for serious R&R. Thank you

Very relaxing - just a few teething problems

The hotel is new and accommodation is great, albeit in a slightly no frills kind of a way, although I have to say the mattresses are too hard and the pillows too soft for my liking.
Internet is 750 baht for 24 hours accumulated total usage.
Complimentary toiletries are distinctly average and bathrobes are only available on request. No slippers. The guests are a bit rough and ready, probably as the unfortunate result of the excellent deals the hotel is currently offering. Largely German plumbers and electricians with out of control children (happily, the hotel is soon to be adults only) and a few Russians thrown in.
Staff are sweet as pie, despite the general ignorance of the guests, but the catering here is the big let down. Whilst the inclusive breakfast is pretty good, the cocktails are poor and the dinners in the cafe are disappointing. I suppose the assumption is that the clientele are not that discerning, but the reality is that most of them vote with their feet and choose to eat in the shacks along the beach.
As time went on, I realised the air-conditioning in my room was only working intermittently. On my last night, after sweating it out for a few hours, I called the engineer who told me everything was working perfectly when clearly it wasn't (he then disappeared into the plant room for the next half hour). The reception staff when quizzed the next morning simply nodded sagely and admitted there was a general problem with the air-con.

The resort was really nice and the staff was very friendly, but it was almost deserted and is far away from everything. Its location at the beach is nice, and the pool area was also very nice. Can't recommend this resort due to the very few guest and the remote location, which isnt our cup of tea. But other people would perhaps find this a good a thing.

Eigentlich wäre es ein sehr schönes Resort mit einer tollen Umgebung. Sehr ruhige Lage und nur 10 Fahrminuten bis ins Zentrum. In der Strandnähe gibt es sehr schöne und feine einheimische Restaurants und Bar die sehr gemütlich sind und per Barfuss zu erreichen sind. Der Strand ist traumhaft schön und über 10 km lang.
Einziges Manko ist der Zustand der Armaturen im Badezimmer, Fugen und Glaswände der Dusche. Und ein Abzug gibt es für das Management. Da steht in jedem Zimmer eine Mitteilung, dass die Strandliegen nicht vor 10.00 reserviert werden dürfen, ansonsten werde die Badetücher entfernt. Dabei waren die Liegen in der ersten Reihe bereits um 7.00 Uhr reserviert. Als ich den Poolboy darauf angesprochen habe, meinte er nur man müsse die Liegen frühzeitig reservieren!

年末年始に滞在しました。18歳以上限定のホテルだった為、とても静かで大人な新年を過ごしました。レストランでの食事も美味しく(価格も良心的)、スタッフの方もとても良い感じでした。アメニティで「歯ブラシ」がないので、持参された方がいいと思います。ホテル内のコンビニでも購入できますが、海外仕様なので歯ブラシが大きいかと思います。のんびり、静かに過ごしたい方にはぴったりのホテルだと思います。

Schönes und ruhiges Ressort

Vom Flughafen Phuket ca. 1,5 Stunde mit Taxi oder Hoteltaxi entfernt. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir mit einem Fruchtgetränk begrüßt und die Koffer wurden in unsere Zimmer gebracht. Der Service ist gut und sehr freundlich. Wünsche des Gastes werden beachtet. Jeden Abend gab es noch einen kleinen Gute Nacht Snack im Kühlschrank ( in Form von kleinen Kuchenstücken). Pool und Strandliegen sind im guten und sauberen Zustand. Wir haben im Hotel einen Schnorchelausflug gebucht. Da es sehr früh losging wurde für uns noch extra ein Lunchpaket vorbereitet. ( natürlich war in unserer Buchung auch Frühstück inbegriffen). Insgesamt eine tolle Anlage mit vielen Angeboten die man aber auch nicht machen muss. Schön um abzuschalten und das Meer zu genießen. Würde wieder dorthin fahren.

mooie locatie alleen prijzen in het hotel voor eten en drinken te duur.Logisch dat het duurder is dan er buiten maar verschil is toch te groot als je het vergelijkt met andere accomodaties .Aanrader in de buurt is Krua Thai restaurant op het strand op 5-10min. wandelen .

Seul point noir, les gens qui reservent les transat a la journee pres de la piscine, mais heureusement a 50 metres environ, dautres transats sont accessibles. La plage est calme et splendide. Plusieurs restaut proches et salon de massage sur la plage.une navette vous depose a bangniang ou khaolak moyennant 120 bth. Le retour se fait en taxi pour 300 bth. Hotel et chambres spacieuses et personnel adorable.

Schöner Strand und tolle Poolanlage

Das Resort war genau das, was wir gesucht haben. Als Erwachsenenhotel bietet es die Ruhe und den Komfort, den wir für einen entspannten Urlaub brauchen. In der Umgebung gibt es auch genug Abwechslung und tolle Angebote, die wir gern genutzt haben (Massagen, Ausflüge, Essen am Strand). Aber auch im Resort ist man mit allem versorgt, Restaurants, Shuttle usw. Obgleich man die Liegen am Strand früh reservieren musste - nur so konnten wir den Tag unter dem Sonnenschirm auch absolut genießen. Das lässt sich wohl kaum ändern. Absolut toll und erfrischend ist die gesamte Poolanlage mit Massagedüsen. Wir haben jeden Tag einen Obstteller vom Hotel bekommen, das war eine sehr sehr schöne Geste. Wir hatten eine Premium-Villa mit kostenloser Minibar und fanden alles wunderbar.

ホテルもてなしはもちろん、客層も良く不愉快な思いを一度もしなかったのが高評価のポイントです。
部屋も2人には十分に広く清潔、コンパクトにまとまったホテル施設が使い勝手が良かったです。
周辺に商業施設が無いため食事やアクティビティは限られますが、それが逆に良いところです。
ゆったりと何もしないを目的としたたびにおススメのホテルです。

Tolles Hotel direkt am Strand

Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt im Beyond Resort. Die Villen mit eigenem, relativ grossem Pool sind fantastisch, man hat seine Ruhe. Die Lage hat uns auch gut gefallen, es gibt einige Restaurants am Strand, wo man vorzüglich isst. Das einzig negative: Um 9 Uhr sind schon die meisten Liegestühle reserviert aber leer. Da kann das Hotel aber nichts dafür und das war auch schon im the Sands so. Die Leute pilgern wahrscheinlich schon um 7 Uhr an den Strand um die Liegen zu reservieren und gehen dann wieder schlafen.

Positiv: Beste Lage am perfekten Sandstrand, Schöne große Villen, Gepflegte Anlage, sehr ruhig
Negativ: Kaum Unterhaltung, Kaum Sportangebote (nur ein wenig Wassersport, Fitnessraum ist akzeptabel), sehr laute Klimaanlage in den Zimmern (auch wenn Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet ist) und lauter Kühlschrank. Bis zum Markt in KhaoLak ca. 10 Km. Recht teuer.

Ruhiges, schönes Hotel an einem tollen Strand

Ich war als Reisebüro-Inhaberin über Silvester im Beyond Resort, es war ein traumhafter Urlaub, wunderschönes, ruhiges Hotel, schöne Zimmer, freundliches Personal und auch gutes Essen, einziger Nachteil war das schlechte WLAN am Zimmer. Leider nicht zu empfehlen

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht von unserer Hotelauswahl. Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und dem Aspekt das es keine Kinder geben wird für 7 Nächte gebucht.
Wir hatten eine Villa die wir aber eher als Bungalow bezeichnen würden denn das Wort Villa klingt zu luxuriös für das was es war. Die Innenaustattung der \"Villa\" war in unseren Augen nicht besonders ansehnlich.
Als Couch dienten 2 Ratan Gartensessel die ungemütlicher nicht hätten sein können. Das Bad war zwar sehr groß aber hatte eher den Charme einer Schwimmbadumkleide.
Wir haben für die 7 Nächte 1800€ bezahlt und haben irgendwie mehr erwarten aber so weit so gut.
Wir haben gehofft das wenigstens das Frühstück gut sein würde aber auch da wurden wir mehr als nur enttäuscht. Wir waren schon sehr sehr oft in Thailand aber das Frühstück war das schlechteste was wir je hatten und vergleichbar mit einem 3 Sterne Hotel. Die Auswahl an sich war ok aber die Produkte waren nicht hochwertig. Der Käse hat schon von anfang an geschwitzt und sah aus wie der billigste Scheibenkäse aus dem Aldi. Das Brot war, egal welche Sorte man probiert hat, geschmacklos. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum war sowas von umotiviert und unfreundlich, hatten wir so noch nicht in Thailand.
Da es für uns beide der 1.Urlaub in 2 Jahren war haben wir uns entschlossen uns ein neues Hotel zu suchen und haben frühzeitig ausgecheckt.

Top Hotel für Paare mit toller Lage

Hotel war Super, die Pools sind sehr schön und die Restaurants in der Umgebung waren extrem Lecker und sehr günstig.

Für einige bestimmt toll. Für uns nicht.

Anlage nett, Strand super, Häuser OK (hinterher Teil mit Bad etwas \"zweckmäßig\"), Pool nett angelegt, aber sehr voll und Liegeabstand eng, Reservierung von Liegen überall. Restaurant so mittel. Frühstück zwei Klassen : zweite Klasse für normale Villas qualitativ mittelmäßig. Freundlichkeit der Angestellten unterdurchschnittlich. Für diejenigen, die Thailand erleben wollen ist dies das falsche Hotel. Für Pauschalurlauber, die unter sich bleiben wollen, ohne groß raus zu müssen und pool und Strand genießen wollen sehr empfehlenswert. Mit dem entsprechendem Publikum rechnen...

Fantastisk hotell, rent & pent, helt utrolig.

Vi hadde et helt fantastisk opphold der i to uker. Var der i fjor også, var så fornøyd at vi måtte tilbake i år også. Kommer nok til å reise ned dit igjen.
Alle er bare så smilende og hyggelig hele tiden, underholdning nesten hver kveld.
Lange flotte strender hvor man kan gå i flere timer, noe vi gjorde.

Nice hotel on a quiet beach - absolutely relaxing

Nice hotel, friendly staff, unfortunately not everbody understands and talks english well. Beautiful beach. It's recommended to wear shoes supposed for water activities when in the ocean. Watch out for jellyfish. Our room smelled weird (mudd, not untypical for Thailand), but we could change room immedately (hotel was not fully booked then).

Positiv Überrascht, rundum überzeugt!

Das Beyond-Resort ist ein wunderschönes und toll gelegenen Hotel was unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen hat. Mit 25 bzw 34 Jahren sind wir zwar kein altes Eisen, aber bereits langjährige Thailand-Urlauber. Nach vielen Aufenthalten auf Phuket, in Bangkok und und und stand dieses Jahr am Ende unserer Reise erstmalig KhaoLak auf dem Plan. Die Befürchtung ein viel zu ruhig gelegenes Hotel das seine 5 Sterne nicht verdient wie man es öfters bei solchen Anlagen in Thailand hat wurden nicht bestätigt. Im Gegenteil. Wir wurden und waren positiv Überrascht. Das Hotel liegt wirklich sehr ruhig und direkt am Strand, und ja das gibt es in Thailand noch: Liegen direkt im Sand, direkt am Meer (trotz Militär). Dazu wunderschön angelegt und für Thailand sehr gut gepflegt. Man spürt die \"Schweizer Führung\" im Management. Das schöne, es ist traumhaft ruhig, toller Strand, und trotzdem etwas los. Tagsüber oder Abends am Strand zu einer der nahen Strandbars, oder mit dem Taxi (in KhaoLak überall 300 Baht, also zwar teurer als in Bangkok, aber viel günstiger als auf Phuket) in die nahe gelegenen Städtchen. Wer mag kann wunderbar ausgehen. Dazu ein angenehmer Service und je nach Buchungsklasse auch noch einige Nettigkeiten on top. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalten und können das tolle Resort nur empfehlen.

Besser geht es kaum

Das Hotel ist top. Leider hatten wir kein Glück mit dem Wetter und sind vorzeitig abgereist. Der Hotelmanager ist zu nett und ist uns bezüglich der vorzeitigen Abreise sehr entgegengekommen.
Das Essen im Hotel ist Spitze. Egal ob Frühstück oder eins von den Buffets abends. Selten so gut gegessen.
Schade, dass das Wetter nicht mitgespielt hat.

酒店環境舒適 , 房內雪櫃每天都會提供免費飲品 , 酒店得悉我們是慶祝結婚週年 , 送上蛋糕 , 很窩心 ! 酒店自助餐收費亦很合理, 當晚還有泰國舞蹈表演 . spa 雖然比外出較貴, 但亦很舒適 ,值得一試 ! 從機場到酒店自駕駛車, 很暢通都要 1個半小時多, 路程較遠 !
