I was very pleased staying here, my first capsule hotel experience. I would do it again, and recommend it to others. The two downsides for me were:

1. Distance to the only toilets, the public ones on another floor of the airport, about 5 mins walk away.

2. Absence of full power outlet. I normally use a CPAP machine, but I could not use it for this stay.

I couldn’t even go to my stay because I was not allowed to leave the airport on my layover. There should be a disclaimer that people coming from other areas of Thailand will not be allowed to leave the airport to access this place. The “airport” in the name is misleading.

Easy check in, comfortable and more spacious than I was expecting. Some noises here and there and a big loud fight outside my capsule at 2am were a bit disruptive but ear plugs would have helped. Overall very worth it for the price to be able to stay inside the airport.

I wish every airport had these! It’s such a great idea. Super cool pods, comfy and convenient with a lovely receptionist. Located in the basement, down the ramp next to the railway in a quiet area of an otherwise busy airport. Highly recommended and would definitely use again.

Once you’ve cleared customs, capsules are located on basement level of airport opposite train station. Location is reasonably quiet. Quite a hike to the nearest bathroom (up on the floor above) as the regular ones were “out-of-order”. Other than this rather painful inconvenience, the capsule itself was spacious and it felt like you were in some spaceship heading to mars. Would do it again.

If you run hot overnight, this is not the place for you. Website states there is AC, there is none. Runs on computer fans - which are very loud. Nearest washrroom is upstairs is there is maintennce with the closest one. Do not recommend. Owner does not want to give even a partial refund for false advertising on AC. Room ran at 28 degrees overnight. Horrible stay.

Terrible experience. First of all, there are no beds, only a thin mattress on the ground. The ceiling is only barely high enough to sit, impossible to stand. Worst. of all, there is no toilet, not even shower or washbowl, on the premises. The nearest toilet is one kilometer away at Suvarnabhumi Airport. At $67, the price was low, but I could not recommend the hotel for anyone, including backpackers.l

This is exactly how it is described on the listing. This is a great choice for convenience if you have an extremely late flight or an extremely early flight. Sleeping in the basement of the airport is very convenient in that situation. I felt safe and secure.
Note: some hotel staff don’t know where to find this at the airport. Find your way to the lowest level (Basement) in the main airport building.

Property is clean. Staff friendly. Convenient for a layover avoiding going into Bangkok and fighting traffic.
Cons- 5 minute walk from nearest bathroom
Other issue during my stay- airport air conditioning broken in area of hotel. Only a weak fan in the capsule making it hard to sleep.
Property should have provided partial refund as it did not result in much needed rest. I could have slept on a bench for free.

It is a bit claustrophobic. if you are in the upper pod, the steps leading up to it are awkward and possibly dangerous. There is no standard electrical outlet inside, and you need a USB to charge your phone very slowly.

The property was difficult to find, and on B2 with the nearest toilet on B1. The mattress is not queen sized, if taller than 6ft2 you might not fit. However it could fit 2 adults and small child if needed. It was clean, in a quite location, with a 7/11 about a minutes walk away. Leaving is made easy and getting to your connecting flight is no problem - took just over an hour to get back through customs and into duty free/eatting area.

This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel. I didn’t have high expectations but this was the most affordable and convenient option for what I needed when I arrived late at night in Bangkok. It was easy to check in and the lady was very kind. Felt safe in the capsule as there was a passcode and a chain lock. The capsule itself was bigger than I thought it would be. The only downside was that there wasn’t a bathroom on the same floor. You have to go up to the first floor.

The novelty of sleeping in the pod in the basement of an airport/train station was amusing, and the convenience for next day's 5am checkin was great. Friendly and helpful staff and a spotlessly clean pod, but the location, physical requirements of getting in and out of the pod, and lack dedicated bathroom facilities (and no showers) might make it unsuitable for some. I enjoyed my night there.

Overnight layover. This capsule is just before the exit to Thai Rail Station, on the basement/lowest floor. Quiet area at night. A nice and informative young lady waits at a small table until last guest arrives. Thanks!

Bathroom is 200m down a hallway. Follow the signs, and as it's a public, airport facility, there are no showers. Take wet-wipes to clean up for next flight!

I would use it again, and I slept great.

I enjoy my rest at the capsule. The staff was very friendly. I slept for a few hours, walked to check in my flight, walked back to the capsule for additional rest, and walked to my gate. That experience was really nice. Since the capsule does not have the restroom, the guest needs to attend the airport restroom. It is kind of old and somewhat dirty.

It was perfect for a brief sleep between flights. Someone was there to assist with check in. The capsule has everything you need in it. The area was very quiet overnight. Tip if you want to take a shower before boarding your flight: Miracle Hotel (past security) offer showers for 350 baths in concourse A, level 3 (reachable from any concourse). Complements well a night at Avagard.

Didn't like the public toilets you had to use although there is a newly renovated disability toilet next to the toilet block so maybe the toilets will be renovated soon?
But the capsule itself was fine. Made of plastic and was like sleeping in a giant Eski but it was spacious, very clean, and a good solution to grab some zzzs between flights. I chose an upper one that felt 'safer' than a ground level but 3 steps up might be steep if you are not ok with climbing up.. The sliding door felt a bit flimsy but there was a lock once inside to prevent the door from being opened. I'd use the capsules again.

Very convenient location if you have a flight at an odd time or a long layover and don’t want to spend it on the airport chairs. The check in process was simple with the very nice lady who helped us with the process. If you come after 2 am there may not be someone readily available so I’m not sure how difficult it would be if you are not used to self check ins. The capsule is a decent size with ample room inside and very clean. However, the capsules are in the middle of a walkway so you will hear people and announcements throughout your stay. It may not be a busy walkway, but it’s still a walkway and the earplugs they provide may not block out everything. Overall it was a fun experience and excellent staff.

Box small. Entrance even smaller. Mattress 10cm thick with dip in the middle. Practically slept on floor. 220v socket not working.
Clever marketing. No matter how many slogans are employed and no matter how many colors the ambient light can make produce, nothing can compensate for avagard being a small, poorly ventilated, over hyped, over marketed, plastic box with a very uncomfortable mattress.

very \"space age\"but a little claustrophobic. It was a bit of fun to stay there but had some serious downsides.
The bathroom is about 150 meters away which is not fun to visit in the middle of the night. The area up until about midnight is quite noisy with monotonous announcements regarding trains. Also random crowd noises were annoying.

I recommend it for people who will spend the night at suvarnabhumi aiport because unlike boxtel, you can have an overnight stay from 6pm to 9am with a fair price. you will be assisted by a lady who will scan your passport and instruct you to input a 4 digit password code for your locker and room. there's free slippers, bottled water and wet wipes. i chose the lower room because I dont like climbing down the ladder to go to the toilet at night. the room itself is just a bed, bathed in blue light which can be adjusted to different colored lights. looks like a room in a space station very futuristic white and blue theme. there's a USB charger for your phone or ipad, free earplugs since you can still hear people walking past as well as your neighbor's snoring. if there's someone staying in the room above yours and they're moving, it can be bothersome. the toilet is a 2 min walk, there's a 711 nearby and snack station machine. if you need to shower, you can go to novotel hotel for 600 bhat. the staff goes home at 2am, for emergencies, you can click on the button in the computer for emergencies. the bed is spacious queen sized bed with good duvets and pillows

Overall more spacious than I expected. Place is very clean and the bed very comfortable. Locker was big enough to fit my medium sized check-in lugagge, duffel bag and backpack.

Only no showers (though they provide wet wipes) and it is located near a speaker so will occasionally hear announcements over the PA system (But they provide you ear buds). Also it can get a tad warm since there is no airconditioning (they have ventilation fans that take the cool air from the airport). Will still recommend and will choose to stay there again.

The difficulty is that the restroom is about 100 yards from the capsule. If you can deal with this problem, it’s not a bad gig. But if you typically wake up in the night to use the restroom, I recommend seeking some other bed.

This was way better than I expected.

PROS:
- convenient (right inside the airport)
- save time/money by not using shuttle service (took almost 2 hours last time)
- surprisingly squeaky clean
- comfortable, fell asleep within minutes
- located near 24/hour food/coffee options
- free bottled water, slippers and earplugs upon arrival
- fan, colorful lights, safe with key, mirror all inside the capsule

CONS:
- only 8 capsules, so the book fast
- bathroom isn't directly across, its public and around the corner (it was very clean but no showers)
- didn't see a regular AC outlet, only USB, so I couldn't charge my Macbook Pro

I would definitely book this again if I ever have an overnight layover in Bangkok. They also have day rentals from 10am - 5pm I believe, which I would consider also. I think every single airport should have these, what a life savor!

This stay was one of my favorite parts of my trip so far. Im literally travelling around the world. I had 4 days of intense travel, starting in Peru, stopping back in the States, and then on to Thailand. After a 15 hr flight from LAX to Hong Kong and a 2.5 hr flight to bangkok I was exhausted. My flight left at 9am today. I went through customs, checked in to my capsule, had a great massage, went and slept, and made it to my flight without ever leaving the airport. Perfection!!!! Strongly recommend!!!!

Very good but tips to make it great!

It was very good! I enjoyed my stay and the concierge was very kind, accommodating, professional, and funny! She went out of her way to ensure my luggage was safe and I understood how to operate the pod.
The bed was clean and comfy but the pod was very hot. There was little to no airflow. The lockers provided for my luggage was too small so the concierge had to pay for another company to store my luggage. I was moving permanently to Thailand so I had 2 large suitcases.
I also desperately needed a show but couldn't find where I could get one. A list of services like that in the airport would be nice.

Loved it! The bed was very comfortable. They give you two pillows, slippers, bottled water, toilet paper for the toilet a few minutes walk away and ear plugs because not soundproof. There was a nice lady that worked there that help me check in although it is all computerized for self check in. There’s a fan that blows in cold air from the outside that you control the settings on and a USB charging station and a safe. You can even change the color of the lights in there. I changed mine to purple. There is only 5 beds/capsules so you need to reserve in advance as they sold out when I was there.

Extremely convenient for a lay over on the connect flight and the staff waiting to help me check in til 01:30 am.which is very helpful for late check in.

Not soundproof and public bathroom far away

It was very practical because it is right in the airport, great for long layovers! But very expensive for what it is, that bathroom is a public bathroom, far from the capsule and NO toilet paper in the bathroom !!!! They were doing some constructions about 20 meters from the capsule during the whole night and it was so LOUD!!!! No soundproof AT ALL!!!
