We were not in a room with a view of Largo Argentina. We were in an extremely small room over looking a parking courtyard to the back. Entrance to the building left a lot to be desired. Felt substandard and a little dirty.
It was however in a great location. We walked to all sights including the Colliseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and very close to Piazza Navona. Would recommend this area but not this hotel unless possibly the other rooms are better.

The single worst experience I've had at a hotel.
My wife and I booked this hotel, which is described as a 5-star hotel on their website and google. When checking in to what looked like an apartment-turned-multi-room-hotel, we were told it is not a 5-star hotel but rather a small bed and breakfast.
The room was small but suitable. After a long day of travel and tours, my wife and I wanted to shower and go to sleep. There was no hot water, and when we ran the shower, it did not drain. Had we let it run for more than 30-45 seconds, it would overflow into the rest of the bathroom.
Understanding that these things happen, we contacted the maintenance line at ~6:30PM and a woman answered who continuously repeated \"email me, email me, email me\" while speaking over me. I assume this was due to a language barrier which is understandable as well. This is where things turned sour.
We were told that someone would come the next day at 7AM. At 10PM that night, my wife and I were comfortably in bed when we heard the lock on the door click, and the door swung open. A man and a woman (who did not identify themselves; burglars for all we knew) came into the room yelling at us in Italian. Not only was this startling, but is against Italian law to enter a private room without notice or consent.
They proceeded to yell in broken English that nothing was wrong with the shower despite not being able to get hot water, nor running it for more than 2-3 seconds. When I finally realized they must work the

Area very fealty, we arrived at the place and no one would open the door, also another couple were waiting for an hour. Holmes were sleeping in the ally. Urin was found on the ground nest to the door. Not to recommend this for any one.

Great location. BUT NOT A HOTEL.

Location was great. a semi B&B / Hostel. room was renovated recently BUT AC did not cool the room, hot water was in and out, no onsite support after 3pm, 4 hangers and no dresser, elevator not available until the 1st flight of steps.

No lobby or communal area to meet up with friends.

Breakfast minimal.

Need to mention again the location was great!!!

Amazing rooms in the middle of History.

We simply loved being in the middle of so much history. This is no where there are hundreds of other vacationers, you are in a stunning local neighborhood. Better, smaller, restaurants with locals at the table next to you. The freshest food. This central location puts you within 10-15 minute walk of ALL the famous sites. No uber necessary.

This was an immersion into the Italy culture! Our \"apartment\" was located in a bldg adjacent to the ruins of Appollus and where Julius Caesar was killed. LOVED location and ambiance. We were on second floor and other companies had apartments on other floors. We were met by an individual and assisted to checkin but couldn't access room until after 2:00. This lady spoke little English which was understandable being that we were in Rome. Our room had a queen bed and another bed (which we paid extra), working windows which was really cool! Nice bathroom. We had issues with the bathroom door getting locked and the lady didn't think we could understand her but she was talking about us to another lady who helped her get the door unlocked. After that, a nice young man was at the desk and we had no other issues. Breakfast was delivered to us. Croissants were the best. We wanted to stay in a place with character and this was it. Bed was cozy and clean. A little pricey but we were there in high season.

We would not return to this property and wish we had stayed elsewhere. We chose it for the location, but without the balcony room, our experience would have been much worse. There is no closet, and the furniture is not the best quality. While they offer breakfast, it consists of just two pastries—so if you’re expecting a full breakfast, this isn’t the place. The bed was heavily stained and lacked a mattress protector, which was disappointing.”

Balcony view over the Largo di Argentina!

This is my 2nd time at the Pantheon Caesar Relais. I book their best room which is a double balcony, including one that looks upon where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Breakfast is provided as room service, which is a nice touch. The bathroom has been modernized. The bed is big, red, and pretty comfortable. This relais is convenient (by foot) to most of the sites in Rome. They will provide transportation to/from FCO with a little upcharge (relative to what a cab costs). The principal taxi pick up & drop off spot in that part of Rome (Largo di Argentina) is about 2 minutes walk from the building. Staff is only available on site from the morning to the early afternoon. I enjoy this hotel for its romantic room and prime location.

Only if you’re really on a budget!

The shower head is awful and very dirty. They don’t treat you like a hotel they call themselves as a hostel. It’s inside a residential building where they occupy one floor. It was very cold and no way to regulate the heat. The breakfast at first looks abundant but you can only pick 7 items and the only thing that is not industrialized are the fruits.

Charming but cramped in the heart of central Rome

We enjoyed our stay but did find the accommodations a bit cramped. The plumbing in the room was in poor condition as the drain caused the shower to overflow. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of central Rome. There were so many switches for lights that it was challenging to know what was controlled and some of the lights didn't function. The provided breakfast was delicious.

We enjoyed the continental breakfast which was delivered to our room at a time we designated, a very nice touch! We spent most of our time exploring the sites, which is why we came to Rome and why we choose a central location at a decent price point.

Living Close to “I Gatti di Torre Argentina”

Loved our stay with view of the ruins and cats. Highly recommend booking a room with city view. Breakfast was a nice touch. Rooms are small but we didn’t bring a lot of luggage so it worked out. Close walk to most major sights and yet not as crowded as many other piazzas , taxi stands close. The entry would be a little harder to find but we used their pick up services so there was no issue. We found the place perfectly safe. We will return

Pantheon Caesar Relais was hard to find, with the entrance in a sketchy alley. The intercom didn’t work, and the elevator felt unsafe. Upon arrival, loud construction and an unfriendly welcome set the tone. Our room had a great view, but by 6:30 pm, the water was completely out, with no warning. When we called to report it, we were told it was “after hours” and received no help—staff even hung up on us. Later, a note appeared saying the building had no water due to city maintenance, a problem they likely knew about before our check-in. Without water to flush, wash, or shower, we had to use bottled water for basic needs. The room didn’t match the photos, with a hard mattress, old bedding, and dirty floors. The lack of cleanliness and poor service made our stay uncomfortable, and the dark alley felt unsafe at night. We left early and took photos to document the conditions. Not recommended

The room was very goo. We had a nice view. Excellent service. It's close to everything. Easy to take bus. The bus tickets sale in the magazine quiosko. Do not pay much attention to the entre of the hotel. It look bad but when you're inside it's all new, clean and modern. The gus who works there gave us as awesome service. We would stay again there. Any information he will provide. Right bus around the city but make sure you validate the ticket back in the bus. It's better to but the tickets cash better that credit car. Be careful with pick pokets. They are fast and you won't even notice. Buy all the tickets for the museum, Vatican church in advance, before your trip, because the lines are horrible long. 2 hours. Have a great trip and enjoy Rome. 😉

Upon arrival, this property began to give awful vibes. This is NOT a hotel, it’s more of a bed and breakfast and I’ve stayed at hostels nicer than this place. Once the attendant let us in to the building, the floor smelled of a stale stench which was only the beginning of the awful vibes. This place does not have a proper concierge, the room was disgusting and filthy, we did not feel safe to stay longer than one night of our four day stay.

We would not have stayed the night but the only employee had left as soon as we checked in.

This is where the true slimy and digusting nature of this place came to fruition. Upon attempting to check out early, one of the employees said there would be no charges and that we should speak to Expedia. We begged for evidence for the early check out but was refused.

This company charges you full price of the stay upon check-in, in fact, they charged us hours before even arriving which I had not realized until we had left the property for good. Any half decent hotel worth a damn would charge you upon check out and would be only for the nights stayed.
Once attempting to contact Expedia for a refund for the days we did not stay, they referenced the hotels policy that any modifications or cancellations after checking in would result in the full price being charged to your booking credit card.
The photos and reviews do not reflect the current state of the property. I believe that this hotel is under new ownership and is being run into the dirt

This property was in a cool location because you look out and see ruins. Don’t be confused though, you aren’t looking at the Roman forum.

Our room was TINY. If you have a large suitcase I would not recommend as we didn’t have space to set it out and still walk around the room. But we made it work and it did the job.

From this location we walked about 25 min to the Colosseum and about 50 mins to our meeting point next to Vatican City. We also walked about 30 mins from the train station. But walking that long is pretty much anywhere you stay in Rome.

Breakfast in the room was great.

Shower was kind of gross because lack of drying caused grout discoloring, etc., but I’ve had worse.

Overall a good property and was solid. Nothing amazing, but it was solid and wouldn’t be against staying again if we had to and were on a budget.

Nah- not a great one

I really wanted to love this place due to where it is located as it sits overlooking where Julius Caesar was killed. However, I was not impressed. They make you breakfast, until you accidentally miss it due to a planned morning you were unaware of (I came for my birthday and this happened the day before it)- you will get reprimanded by the lady. If your Air conditioning breaks, you’ll be told “you have a fan” even when it’s 95 degrees outside and the our room is hotter than Hell. Was it clean? Kinda. The hallways smell like human feces. Probably due to the old pipes or whatnot but it’s not the best smell to walk out of your room too. I could also smell a slight stitch of cigarettes. We got the balcony room (there’s only one) and I thought for sure I’d be able to have breakfast on it. Like advertised but nope. It does wrap around though. And the bed is hard, not comfortable AT ALL. And it you are sleeping in the middle there’s definitely a sink in feeling. Not great for anyone over 40s back. Cost wasn’t too shabby but I found out other people paid less elsewhere and got way more out of their hotel. Definitely go to the others. Don’t waste the money in this one. You’ll be happy I warned you.

Reasonably priced accommodations for 3 in an easily walkable location. The property is an older building turned into BandBs or rentsl apartments. Pretty quiet. You can order breakfast to your room which was nice. The selections are very basic. The staff kept entering our room daily to turn off the air conditioning... on 100 degree days when the service room sign was NOT hung. I expect they were trying to save money. Soap and shampoo are provided. Instant coffee and tea bags in room. Mini bar with a few items. One flat pillow per person. Harder mattresses. Very thin coverlets on bed. The fancy shower didn't work properly but was good and hot. The area has several good and fun osterias. Serviceable but I will try somewhere else next time.

Amazing location in central Rome. Overlooked four Republican era temple ruins. Doesn’t get better than that! Surprisingly modern and perfectly clean room. Breakfast delivered to room each morning. This was a “bucket list” trip and this room was it’s own highlight.

Place was suitable, good location and excellent view with “city view” overlooking ruins in the square. I was expecting a hotel but it’s really more of a series of apartments. Breakfast was fine but not super substantial, still nice to have something to start your day and it was nice that it was delivered to your door at your selected time!

Perfect for our needs. Excellent location with lots of buses/trams but we walked to all the main sites in less time than google maps suggested. It is 5 rooms on the 2nd floor of a pretty unassuming building but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was more than adequate, you tick a list of what you want and a what time and hang it on your door and it arrives in the morning. The members of staff where friendly & helpful. We popped back during the da6 for a rest and the room had been serviced. Would recommend.

Very classic inter city hotel. Small under 10 rooms. Breakfast continental is brought to your door and they want you to take it in. Don’t expect it left in the hallway.

This hotel was in the perfect spot. It was easy to walk to the Patheon and Trevi Fountain. The coffee pot in the advertise wasn’t there but they did have instant coffee. The staff was good but didn’t know about a marathon outside the B&B. we had to walk several miles to get a taxi to the Train Station. All in all, it was a nice and clean place to stay.

Lovely little hotel.

I loved this little hotel. Its location was perfect. Walking distance to almost everywhere. Bus and tram stops just outside too. Our room was the only one with a balcony with a view of some Roman ruins which was amazing. The room itself was a little small but expected. We had a round bed which was interesting. Great lighting and two large windows which both opened to the balcony. The bathroom was nice and the shower was good but the water pressure was a bit temperamental but to be expected in an old building. The usual safe and kettle complimentary coffee was available. Continental breakfast was included and served to the room on a tray. Room was cleaned daily and the staff were polite and very helpful. Don’t forget the tourist tax per person on arrival. Overall a great little hotel and I’d stay here again.

Excellent location in Rome old city, on Argentina Square, across Curia Pompeii where Emperor Julius Caesar was stabbed to death. Access to the hotel - actually a B&B - not easy if one has a big suitcase (about 10-12 steps, a tiny elevator). Rooms very small. Breakfast only Continental (you mark what you want from a list, and hang the list out on door knob in the evening)served on a tray by a very nice and pleasant guy, to your tiny room.

At first we were a bit nervous to stay here because the building is very old & the way to enter the property seemed kind of sketchy. There is no signage to indicate it’s an actual hotel until you get to the floor. It’s more of an apartment complex than a hotel.
Our room, however was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice, but shower not functioning well. Location great for walking and restaurants and bus/metro

PRO: The guest house is a converted 5-room aparment. You enter the building using a PIN code and walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor. Elevator is available though we did not use it. Excellent location within walking distance to places of interest and transportation. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast: you can choose from juice, milk, cereal, sandwitch with bacon & cheese, pastry, fruits, yogurt, tea or cofee. Cofee, tea and mini bar (for additinal fee) are available in the room. Amenities are modern. Good lighting. Pictures of the rooms on the Expedia site are correct. What you see is what you get.

CON: We took the smallest/cheapest room, which appeared to be so small so that there were no table or chairs (there are none shown on the photo). The room feeled crowded with two people in it. We had to eat breakfast from the tray when seating on the bed. The shower was broken: the temperature knob was fixed with only one setting, and the water was too hot, about 60°C. (Staff: please fix it!) Floor tiles may be slippery so be careful after taking a shower. The windows of the smallest room overlook the internal yard unlike the windows of the other rooms, from which you can see the street.

Overall, it was a good 6-day stay. But thinking about staying here, do consider taking a larger room.

Fell on a step down from entry onto a desk in the dark looking for light switch in room 205. Also step up to bathroom. There is a slippery glass case with artifacts which is also a step down - fell into a desk. Tried to call emergency hotel number for help and it was not a good number. No ice available in the B and B. No staff. No ice at grocery store. Trying to get home to go the urgent care. Realized how awkward the B and B was with steps even at the reception that are taped with caution tape. Just not a good fit for a tired tourist. Light switches placed in odd locations. Great location, highly recommended

Initially a littld surprised by the entrance to what was probably converted private residences but the interior conversion was very well done. Small but importantly clean double room with all necessary conveniences (although shower gel and shampoo would normally be expected). Rome is a city to walk around and this was a superb location with all the main sites within easy walking distances, or even viewing distance in the case of Largo di Torre Argentina.

The property was true to Italian culture. At first it is unassuming and you find your hotel with a simple door. Once I dude the staff is quite friendly , helpful and knowledgeable.
Breakfast is served in the room and is really quite delightful. The facilities are clean , spacious and refreshingly cool at the end of the day.
I really loved the location which is truly walkable to every attraction. … a great Roman holiday!

comfortable room with a wonderful balcony that over looked the Largo di Torre Argentina. each day the hotel also offered a nice free breakfast of juice and pastries. the room was very clean and had AC. the front desk was super helpful with ordering a ride for us to get to the airport at the end of our stay.

A nice, spacious room on the second floor (with fun old Otis elevator) of a building where our window overlooked the spot where Julius Caesar met his famous end. Very modern bath, comfy bed, central location near the Pantheon. The staff of two were very helpful and cheerful; breakfasts plentiful and right on the time we requested. Arranged for us to rent a wheelchair from a local farmacia and brought it to our room. Referred us to what is probably the best pasta place in Rome—right across the street. Good value for money.

The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be very helpful. The airport transfer and check- in instructions were excellent. The continental breakfast was great and was included with the price. The staff installed an air conditioning unit the second night, but the fans they had in the room was enough for a comfortable sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again with future visits to Rome with the family.

Nice for the money - but a few quirks to deal with

Toilet was broken on arrival so we were told to use hall toilet which was fine. Room was clean but very hot the entire stay even with the air blasting. We had an early flight out and the person who delivered our food scolded us for asking for early food delivery.

This property can be confusing. It does not have outside signage. It is located within a shared building for other purposes. Once you get to the hotel on the second floor lobby it is tight. As in tiny lobby for two people to stand with the luggage in the tiny hallway. Other than that it is nice, clean, and the room is spacious after considering the cramp entry. The bathrooms had ample room with a nice shower.

If English is your only language then you will have issues speaking with the staff. They know almost zero english so know your Italian if you want good communication.

For the price it was great. Fantastic location. Nice spacious room. Oh and sound proof windows. Once the windows are closed the outside traffic noise disappeared.

I would stay there again.

The room was clean very wonderful and with the outstanding view of some Roman ruins. The downsize is it’s a small room as most are in Rome very little storage space. The upside it is very centrally located so you can walk to all the interesting sites on this side of the river. We used Uber for the far out locations worked wonderfully very reasonable.

We had a little trouble finding the property initially but, entirely my fault for not reading all of the information I was sent. Once we found the property, everything was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I liked the location close to the grocery and bookstore and within walking distance to all of the historic sites I wanted to visit. I would stay here again!

We stayed in the double room with balcony, which was overpriced. The room was very small with a round bed, which wasn't the most comfortable to sleep in. The terrace was narrow, but it had a nice view. The staff was very helpful and the service was good.

The company i rented a portable wifi router said they didnt receive the package back. I left the package next to the keys for the room as per check out instructions. They said they never seen a package which is a lie cause i have proof. Now i have to pay for the product. Watch you items in your room in this place when they do cleaning.
