Location is really very good for visiting all historical hot spots by foot 👌 We have booked months ahead of our arrival and therefore the price justified quality and the room size.

I was hesitant to write review because looks like most guests had a pleasant stay but, unfortunately, that was not the case for me and my mum.

On a positive side, the location is great, convenient to all main attractions. Most of the staff was pleasant apart from one, the room was clean and the ladies at breakfast were lovely.

However my expectations were higher given the price of the hotel. The room we were allocated was just next to the entrance desk.
First night - the amount of noise that came through the window and door was unbearable. We could hear every step, the staff were on the phone, watching videos, we could literally hear everything as if the room door was open. The noise from the restaurants outside, loud motorbike exhausts. 3am I walked out and asked get a different room and offered to pay for an upgrade. I was then told that the only available was the one next door to ours.Couple of hours of sleep and again woken up by the waste management trucks outside, this remain the same throughout the 4 night stay.

I got really anxious and decided to look for another hotel, as it was August this was difficult without spending money I couldn’t afford, but, to my surprise this hotel had a superior room available for the remaining 3 nights at a lower rate than what I paid. I immediately asked and was told that they couldn’t do anything. I asked for a refund so I could book elsewhere and that was also denied.

Unfortunately theres more to say but no characters left.

Room was excellent; comfy bed, toiletries, mini bar, great location. It was close to many restaurants and iconic places. The only thing that my daughter and I didn’t like was the breakfast. On the description it says top rated breakfast but is not. We got an omelette with nothing in it, it was only egg that felt like plastic and got beans???? We got plain yogurt unsweetened. No fruit, lots of different breads, capuchino. My daughter and I were so surprised because we never had that type of breakfast.

Location was very good for walking to some of the local landmarks like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Colloseum and a few others. Bus access is good too and it’s a reasonable walk to the train station. Restaurants nearby are very good and there’s plenty of them. The room was small but useable and clean, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a tub that’s best used for bath taking or sitting and washing with the wand as taking a shower is challenging since there’s no curtain or other type of surround to keep water from spraying everywhere. The staff were helpful and pleasant. It’s a good place to stay.

This hotel was centrally located to all that tourist want to see in Rome. The rooms are somewhat small but that is to be expected in old, quaint buildings. The rooms are very comfortable and who is spending much time there anyway? The breakfast and breakfast staff were amazing, it was a great way to start the day. The hotel staff were just as amazing, answered any questions we had. Took the hotel offered van service from airport to hotel and it was seemless. When leaving this hotel to go to another Rome hotel, the three staff members went above and beyond to find us two cabs for our party of six on a very busy Sunday. They were incredible. Would return here anytime in Rome. Thank you.

The reviews were totally wrong, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stuffy, hot and the front desk guy is super creepy. I asked to get new towels and my room cleaned on 2 separate days and did not receive any support. This is for the second floor of the hotel as the first floor seems very clean and nice with 24 hour staff. Two different hotels in one with the same name but totally different vibes!!

In fairness I should say that the location is excellent and the staff was personable and friendly, and did their best to help.
Breakfast was served on an outdoor terrace, the most pleasant part of the hotel. However, the photo is misleading because it doesn't adequately reflect the character of the property as a whole.
Our room was tiny and dingy, the minibar refrigerator did not work (with outdoor temperatures in the 90s) and was sparsely provisioned. They did replace it, but the first day we were without access to cold drinks. The safe had no operating instructions, which made it unusable, and the wi-fi was spotty. The TV showed only Italian channels, This hotel is essentially a very basic B&B, with no lobby and no public rooms in which to sit comfortably, no restaurant, not even a bar. The property is divided between two sides of the building and our side had no elevator. No telephone in the room, so to communicate with the staff you had to walk down a long flight of stairs and take the lift up to the first floor on the other side. We had a lot of luggage and had not been told about the stairs at the time of making the reservation. Had we known, we would have reserved elsewhere. In short, this was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. Perhaps our expectations were too high, and it might be ok for a student or someone who just wants a simple place to sleep but we will never return there and cannot recommend it.

The Hotel Le Clarisse al Pantheon was in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from Argentine Square, a central hub for buses. I appreciated the hotel’s clean rooms with high ceilings and large windows, comfortable beds, a good shower, and plentiful towels. However, I have two major concerns.
First, I was charged more than Expedia’s originally displayed price—an extra $30 per night per room—despite the personalized rate shown at booking. I had a screenshot of the expected cost but only noticed the discrepancy when reviewing my credit card statement. When I disputed it, Expedia claimed I could not rely on the quoted price since the purchase hadn’t been completed. I’m not sure what else I should have relied on because it seems to me if you give me a price, then you should honor it. I contacted the hotel, but they declined to assist, saying the dispute was solely with Expedia. This feels deceptive, and I would caution others when booking through Expedia.
Second, the hotel’s entry system was unreliable at night. To enter, guests had to connect to Wi-Fi and use an intercom button, but this frequently failed, forcing us to wait for another guest to exit so we could enter. While others kindly let us in, it posed a security risk, as unauthorized individuals could do the same. We later learned we could have been provided a physical key, which would have prevented the issue.

The room and staff were excellent, in addition to the area. Hôtel was close and walkable (40 mins or less) to many major attractions (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Vatican) and we always felt safe. Our only frustration with the property was that it has a Vikey key system which uses the hotel’s wifi via a website you need to access on your phone to unlock your door and access the building after 8:30pm. Because the wifi wasn’t always consistent, the Vikey system is a bit of a pain and sometimes took several tries to get into your room. Would prefer a swipe card system.

When I chose the hotel, besides the location, I did so thinking it had an elevator. However, when we arrived, they sent us to another building with a huge staircase (where, by the way, my niece twisted her ankle while carrying the luggage down on the last day). There is no communication system with the front desk, and the door access system is through a cellphone, which is quite complicated. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, clean, and the breakfast is affordable and excellent. It’s well located, but the issue with the stairs was a big drawback.

Cute breakfast in tent outside but make sure you are not rushed to eat before a booked sightseeing. One lady served all tables and each item came in a little bowl or plate so she made many many runs to fill the table.

To improve you can have warm eggs and fresh fruit. Maybe guests can take themselves? There must be a lot of waste.

The location of Hotel Le Clarisse al Pantheon was absolutely perfect - 2 blocks from the Pantheon, with its lively piazza, and very close to all the main sites you want to see in Rome. It was an ideal starting point for wherever we wanted to walk to and explore each day. The breakfast was always a great experience and the room was clean, with the exception of some tiny mildew spots in the shower. But it was spacious and everything worked great. Our only complaint was street noise. We liked to keep the window open at night so it wasn’t so hot but there was traffic noise from street sweepers and garbage trucks and other vehicles all night long. Not much they can do about that and it definitely did not ruin our whole experience. I would recommend this hotel.

The room was very good. It had a very comfy bed, was very close to almost of the big tourist attractions, and the room itself had a lot of space (more comparable to an American hotel room than the typical Italian hotel in our experience).
It did have two downsides tho:
1. The shower floor was Ridiculously slippery, my wife and I both slipped and fell in it. (We are not clumsy, and didn’t have an issue in the other 3 notes we stayed at while in Italy.
2. The hotel used a website on your phone to unlock the room and building doors instead of a traditional physical key this is a good idea but in practice the website was very slow and sometimes took several minutes to get a door to open.

What a wonderful hideaway hotel which is convenient to all the major sites in Rome one wants to see when visiting. It was especially perfect for someone who does not like being in the middle of all the noise and crowds
We were first welcomed by Sara who gave us some great information and a couple of recommendations for restaurants not touristy, she was also very helpful in giving us additional information in ordering a taxi for us to the airport on the day of our departure
The hotel is super convenient to transportation, whether it’s the buses the tram or just walking everywhere. You would not know it’s a hotel as it appears to be a part of a residential building. The accommodations were clean comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and an electric tea kettle with some tea and coffee available for use. Every morning we were provided a lovely breakfast on the terrace, which is perfect to start our day. Even in the colder month during the rain, we were able to sit outside under their enclosed area. Service was lovely.
For those unfamiliar with European bathrooms, there was a bidet in the bathroom and our room had a very large soaking tub. However, like a lot of other European accommodations there was no hands-free shower, rather in order to wash one’s hair you have to hold the handheld shower component whilst sitting in the tub. A minor inconvenience which was traded off by having a lovely soak in the tub.
If you are a light averse sleeper, the Wi-Fi blinked.

Great property for a couple or family looking to see as much as Rome as possible. Walking distance to all major tourist sites. Over a week we took a taxi once only. Use of technology to enter property nice, but could be probalmatic if you don't have your own internet data plan and relying on the hotel internet.

The hotel is situated in a great location and very accessible to all the major tourist destinations. It’s about 3 mins walk from Pantheon and another 10 mins walk from piazza Navona. The room is clean but slightly dated. It’s reasonable size. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is first time visiting Rome and like to be close to all the major attractions.
