The hotel images were deceiving. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. Things were broken, dirty, run down. Another guest confirmed the same. The hotel wasn’t full so we don’t know why we were allocated to a weird basement room when I paid extra for a lake view. The main hotel door lock is broken and they make you return your room key when you leave the facility. This place was supposed to be a respit from camping and was worse than where we stayed on the trails. The only exception was a lovely breakfast. Nothing about this place can be considered a boutique hotel!

We stayed here for 1 night after flying in to El Calafate on our way to Torres del Paine in Chile. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to the center of town and about 20 minutes from the airport.

Overall, I would rate this hotel as ok for the price with two caveats.

The good:
The breakfast was good, the coffee could have been better.
The views were incredible.

The could be betters:
The room is quite outdated
The shampoo dispenser in the shower was broken.

The caveats:
The walls were so thin I could hear entire conversations in the next room that were just above a whisper.

And most problematic, the lock to my door broke mid stay. It was dealt with, but no apology, no offer to move rooms or a reduced rate. I had to text to confirm it was resolved. No mention of this at check-out.

I had two additional nights that I ended up cancelling. Would not return.

The hotel located by the lake. Beautiful view! Staff are friendly and welling to help if you ask. Walkable to downtown, it’s about 45 minutes from hotel to Main Street. I really want to give a 5star, but the rooms are so noisy, you can hear next door check-in, loud talking, TV playing and even their alarm in early morning, so if you have good quality of sleep, this is perfect place to stay.

If you are looking for a hotel in the middle of the action this is not your hotel.

If you are looking for a calm hotel with the best view in the world, great staff, etc then this is the hotel you want.

Since before I arrived they were extremely helpful via WhatsApp and once I was on sight they were really helpful with whatever questions I had.

The hotel has a restaurant that I ate at each night. Dinner starts at 7pm.

The property needs a lot of refurbishment. The rooms are severely outdated in every aspect. The reception is outdated.
The staff were very helpful and lovely.
The rooms are not sound proof whatsoever. Could hear the neighbouring rooms all day and night.

The views from the hotel and the area around overlooks the water is stunning.

Magnificent view of Lake Argentina. Very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Need to take a taxi into town because it is definitely not walkable. The free shuttle only runs in the evening. Breakfast included in the rate was very good. The biggest downsides were uncomfortable beds and pillows. Also guests cannot control the temperature of their room and it was warm and stuffy in ours. The temperature problem was easily solved by opening the window for a bit. Overall the hotel is a reasonable value and I would definitely stay there again.

This place has a great restaurant with a lovely nice lady, the food is as good as you’re going to get out of any restaurant nearby. The views are great as well, reception was nice and helpful as much as they could be anyways. Here’s the thing though Calafate is a tourist trap. Everything is expensive. This place is viable if you have a rented car otherwise you need consistent taxi service since it’s a bit out of the way. The taxi will always sell their tour services as well. The restaurants and gift shops are really expensive. You’ll constantly get charged extra for debit card payments so bring pesos. There’s a lot of restrictions with this town but with that being said it’s also safe and clean unlike most of America. My recommendation is get a rental car and stay in Chalten. They’ll help you get free entry to hikes. Exact opposite of Calafate.

Very helpful staff and decent rooms, some with great views of Lago Argentino. We had no complaints at all. Small restaurant on site is closed on Sunday. Very nice breakfast buffet kept well stocked. Hotel is on the north side of town. The very good walking/biking trail around is nearby.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast

Lovely hotel, comfortable beds with plenty of hot shower. The location is gorgeous facing the lake, although outside of town but they do organise a free shuttle three times an evening to take you to the centre and you just pay for your cab back, which is really nice. The highlight was the breakfast buffet which had so many options,everything was fresh and tasty.

Franco was super helpful!!! he carried all of our heavy luggage upstairs and fixed up our room. He even found me a can opener. He went above and beyond what would be expected and our stay was wonderful. The breakfast was buffet and had many options. The beds were comfortable in the rooms were very clean. I highly recommend this property.

First, the good: The view of the Lake is beautiful. The staff are helpful. Breakfast is available.

Now the less good: condition of the hotel is a little more basic and run down than it appears in pictures. The carpet is worn, the bathroom door in my room didn't shut, the driveway isn't paved, and there is no elevator to the second floor.

I booked 2 rooms, intentionally requesting one with a single bed and one with 2 beds. We were checked into the wrong rooms and, without an elevator it was too much work to swap. The site says the hotel has an airport shuttle, but this is not included. It just means that they will call you a cab, or a shuttle that drives around picking people up for the airport. You have to pay for either. I therefore found the advertising to be somewhat misleading. They will call you a taxi to downtown and pay for it at 5 or 6 set times during the day, so that is better than nothing, but they don't pay for the return trip and you can't go to any other destinations.

Overall, there were some good things about the place, but for the $75ish I paid, I expected more. If you are getting a room for a lower price it would be worth it.

The property and rooms and not properly furnished, and the hotel decor looks like they run out of money before finishing it. Restaurant and bar services are poor both in quality, variety and service. Shuttle runs only at odd hours an dis not really a hotel shuttle, is local taxis that cannot take more than 4 people at a time.
The only three positives are cleaninness, attentiveness of the front desk and the amazing view

Perfect little stay with jaw dropping views

My husband and I spent one night at Terraza Coirones Hotel while on our honeymoon. The hotel is cosy with very lovely staff and free breakfast included. Our favourite part about it was the sweeping views of Lago Argentino from our room as well as the common areas. Highly recommend!

Beautiful setting overlooking Lago Argentino. Several miles outside of town; car required. Plentiful parking. Did not visit the dining room for any meal other than breakfast. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, just the usual. Checkin was easy and staff was helpful. Limited English spoken. Room had nice lake view and was decent size. King bed was comfortable and room was clean. Bath was great. Good water pressure and plentiful hot water. Unfortunately the adjoining room had guests who arrived late and were extremely loud. The walls are part of the problem as we could hear the both sides of a cell phone conversation. Very close to waterfront sidewalk that was very much enjoyed. Glacier was amazing and the restaurants in town were really good. Overall the hotel looked tired andforlorn.

Great location and view, this is the selling point but the the hotel is ok, it literally is just ok. Noise was a problem, the walls seemed very thin and we could here everything that was going on in the next room. The curtains were terrible, in the summer, the sun rises at 5am, so we were woken up early with a fully lit bedroom. The reception staff also seemed uninterested in anything.

Yes this is out of town. But there is nothing between you and the view of Lago Argentino except for the sage brush. Furthermore \"town\" is right down the street and they have a free shuttle.

Would try to find somewhere else is possible.

The hotel is on the far edge of town, a fair distance from places to eat, visit or enjoy. While the lake views are great, if you have a mountain view room you are likely to see the back of another building. Even if you do wish to stay on the edge of town, there are nicer hotels, at similar prices, we walked over to Design Suites and that looked excellent with great staff service.

The hotel is sparcely furnished, and does not feel finished, the rooms lack basics such as a mini bar, or fridge, which make things difficult when you have warning signs in your room that you can not drink the water (yet not water available in room?). The wifi is exceptionally slow, and not able to be accessed from the room. There is also no ability to control the temperature of your room, no heating or cooling, and being able to open the window only an inch meant for a very hot night. A double room also means two single beds pulled together, and not with a comfortable covering matresses on the top.

Hotel leaves allot to be desired, even breakfast was basic, and despite eating at 730am they had already \"ran out\" of yogurt, meaning they would have had little enough for a couple of people.

In addition due to some booking confusion, we were overcharged, being from overseas, and having booked online, there was little we could do except pay ' as the charges were not deducted straight away but done at the hotel.

Not a pleasant experience in any way and relatuively expensive for this region
