I had a wonderful stay at Napiness Beach Resort. The room was absolutely beautiful with back view — spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The ambiance throughout the resort was peaceful and welcoming, with such a relaxing vibe from the moment I arrived.

The added touches really stood out and made the stay feel extra special. Everything was incredibly clean and well cared for, and you can tell the staff takes pride in keeping the property looking and feeling its best.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, calm getaway in Thailand.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great. We enjoyed the beach. We had no trouble getting from our villa to the resort center; the buggies always arrived promptly. Our particular residence was multi-level, with a lot of steps, and so should only be chosen by guests who are fully ambulatory. It was quite luxurious and had a full size pool, quite impressive and more than we expected. The scheduled on site activities and the spa were thoroughly enjoyed. The concierge assisted us with arranging off-site experiences and airport transportation.

A truly wonderful place. We stayed in a 2 bed villa which felt very private and was stunning. Tips - there are about 100 steps from top to bottom and the rooms don’t interconnect and are separate from each other but once you get your head round that it’s great. The pool is a good size and we loved the downstairs kitchen and sitting area by the pool. The main pool is vast with plenty of beds and we had dinner on the beach one night which was lovely. Nice cocktail bar by the pool at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The white sand beach is gorgeous - the morning tide is low so swimming then is challenging in the sea but the pool is an excellent alternative. The signature massage is amazing.

This is true 5 star property. From the moment you check in you feel you are being treated royally and are in a luxury property. I was given a free upgrade to beachside bungalow with sea view throughout spacious room and and lovely large covered deck.
The pool and beach were close by. This is one of largest most lovely designed I have seen on trip. Its infinity design, style and color truly are unique. It was a short walk to seaside. Only downside water was very very shallow. So could not swim only lounge in warm water.
Breakfast was amazing buffet. Good choices for room service. Food was delicious. The staff was incredible so eager to please always with a smile. The grounds including gym and spa are spacious and beautiful. Only downside is property was not close to other restaurants, beaches or shopping areas. It’s a long expensive taxi ride to other areas. But I highly recommend this property. It was a vacation from my vacation!!

Service is great- Hotel is OLD!

This hotel is so run down. It needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. I should have known when Belmond released themselves and sold it 2 months before our arrival- it must of been bad. The pool towels are old and stained, the pool needs to be re-tiled and the grout is brown and it so sharp and uneven. The pool deck is so sandy and uneven- was dragging into our room! The gym is disgusting and old equipment and nothing has ever been wiped down. The rooms! The wood floors are stained from water and sooooo creaky and old, the showers has a pull drain cord and wood blinds in them! So so so outdated! I think the hairdryer was from the 1980s. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was so good but this hotel needs a HUGE renovation!

From the moment you arrive at this beautiful property, the staff at Nagasaki go above and beyond to welcome you and make sure that you have everything you need while there. From Esme at the front desk to Ja Ae and Sana in the restaurants, Naing at the bar, and all of the housekeeping and grounds crew staff, the hospitality is unmatched. The pool and beach area are incredibly beautiful and well maintained, as well as the villas and common areas. The staff are warm and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel to all!

One of the most beautiful resorts I've ever been to! Peaceful, calm, serene, relaxing, luxurious. Get the sea view villa! It has the most amazing views - even from the shower! And one of the only places on Ko Samui where you can see the gorgeous sunsets (you can't do that on the East Coast in Chaweng). You don't hear your neighbours as you are in your own little paradise bubble. Very romantic if you're there with a partner, I imagine (I was on a solo trip). There were a few young families with children but they didn't make much noise at the pool.

Lovely private beach (a bit stoney here and there), gorgeous infinity pool, air-con great, Wi-Fi perfect, free fun activities like yoga, cycle tour, Muay Thai class, cooking class, free beach bag & flip flops.

As the resort is a bit further away from the hustle & bustle of Bophut and closer to the jungle, it does take a about a 15 min taxi ride to tourist attractions. But I chose Napasai to relax, so I was fine to stay at the resort for the first half of my Thailand trip. I enjoyed being away from large groups of tourists.

Surprisingly I was not bitten by a mosquito once but I made sure to wear strong insect repellent with DEET. The resort does spray insect repellent once a week all over the grounds, so maybe that helped as well.

Lastly, the resort has the most attentive staff I've come across. Friendly, helpful but also know when to leave you in peace and quiet.

I highly recommend Napasai!!!

We stayed a month in this wonderful resort on a beach front villa and absolutely loved every about Napasai resort! The villa was beautiful, food was great, access to beach and pool was terrific and the management/staff were EXCEPTIONAL from day 1 right until our departure. They were kind, considerate and always had a smile on their faces. I am a bit of a clean freak so I loved the fact that all areas of the resort (particularly the public washrooms off the pool & dining areas) were immaculate and incredibly clean. If you are looking for a place to just kick back, relax, stress free then Napasai should be on your list of places to stay! This resort is definitely a 5 Star.

I highly recommend this property. It’s beautiful, private, eco friendly, clean, and the staff is AMAZING! I do suggest the property get more charging stations (both inside and outside) for electronic devices for guests as we are all more technically connected. Also, I suggest converting the bathtub into a shower with seating.

The setting is beautiful including a wonderful sunset view. The sea isn’t great for swimming as it’s very shallow and lots of weed - I knew this would be the case before we went so it wasn’t a problem. The accommodation is a bit dated but didn’t seem shabby.

I recently stayed at this hotel on a 10 day trip to Thailand with my boyfriend. We had an amazing stay and can't recommend it enough. The grounds and scenery are beautiful, the facilities were well kept, and the room was clean and updated. The food was good and the activities that the hotel had to offer were great. They have kayaks and standup paddle boards right there on the grounds and an attending staff member, as well as workout classes. The hotel is located on a beautiful private beach. The most distinguished part of the hotel was the service, which impressed us from the start. Upon arrival, the woman mentioned that our flight was a bit delayed, as we were late arriving to the hotel by ~30 minutes, which impressed us she remembered. We received an upgrade from our original room to a 1 bedroom villa on the beach which made our vacation! The luxury of the hotel continued as we arrived in our room to a plate of fresh fruit and we were also impressed with the service we received on the beach. Our waiter walked down the beach in the 98 degree heat to offer to clean our sunglasses and then again to offer us apple slices. That is service unlike any other we've received. To top off our wonderful stay, upon check in the woman had asked when our departing flight was and then provided a recommendation to leave for the airport at 6:30am, prior to the opening of breakfast at 7am. When we went to check out, the hotel had prepared us breakfast boxes "to go".

I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand (W hotel, Oriental, Hyatt, So Sofitel and many more) nothing like Belmond Napasai. The room is nice and clean, With the private and infinity pool, one can spend the whole day in the hotel. Breakfast is super good especially the view is fantastic. The homemade jam is a must try. So much so about the hotel. What really amazing is the friendliness of the hotel staff and every staff we met can remember by our name ( not sure how they do it). I must say that the service provided by the staff name of PIM in the restaurant is way above average. She chat with guest and listened. My Friend was having a fever and went back to the room early. She immediately called to send him some tea and cold towel. We were very impressed with her service as well as the rest of the staff. Thank you so much for taking care of us and we will definitely come again. We will also recommend to family and friends.

The perfect beach resort hotel

It comes at a price but its worth paying it! It's a fab hotel which is superbly managed and maintained directly at a lovely private beach with a swimming platform anchored offshore. The villas are beautifully decorated in Thai style and offer all the amenities one can wish for. The breakfast in the hotel is awesome with the best selection is tropical fruits one can wish for. Please sample the juice and smoothie bar as well. Fantastic staff both at the restaurant as well as at the beach. Plenty of free activities for the whole family on offer. We tried the Thai boxing (awesome experience), food carving, flower arrangements and also the free training sessions on Thai massage.
As with all the great places its no longer a secret hideaway which when fully booked gets quite busy and noisy.

Very nice beachfront villa with semi-private garden. Staff was friendly and service was good. The local area was not pleasant. The wood floors inside were too creaky, if someone awoke at night, everyone was up. All the plugs were a bit old and loose and not enough of them.

The Belmond Napasai is an absolutely beautiful resort, the kind of place that is so lovely you don't want to leave. Rather than hotel rooms guests are in spacious individual villas, decorated in traditional Asian style, most of which have views of the ocean. It is equally good for couples as for families with children. Wifi is good throughout the resort.

Wonderful resort hotel. The beach was better than I expected according to the negative reviews about small and un-swim-able. I swam every day! beach shoes were there for me. I usually wear my goggles so I can see where I am. It was delightful. Gorgeous infinity pool for all. Smiling wonderful staff. Just ask for vegetarian. They are totally willing. Massages are pricey at hotel. But all is available in the city at a fraction of the price.

Gorgeous hotel on the beach

We recently stayed at the Belmond Napasi in Koh Samui for a wedding. The entire staff was friendly and very accommodating to our large party. Every room had an incredible view. The infinity pool and the beach was a great place to relax. The food was amazing!! Many of us took advantage of the resort spa. It had affordable prices and an incredibly friendly staff. We wish we could have stayed longer!!

Fantastic stay at Belmond Napasai. Top notch service, luxurious rooms with super comfy beds. Pool and beach has enough chairs so you know you will be able to go and relax when and where you want to. Restaurants and bars were great as well, we ate there every evening. Thai boxing, cooking class, snorkeling, and paddleboarding were great ways to spend afternoons as well!

A private oasis that you will never want to leave!

If you are after luxury and to be pampered, look no further as this is the place for you.
At Belmond every staff member knew our name and every little attention to detail was taken care of. You could spend the entire day at Belmond - snorkeling off the private beach; relaxing by the infinity pool or on your own private balcony. For the more adventurous, stand up paddle boarding, boxing or cycling were just a few of the onsite activities, or if this is not your cup of tea, relaxing in one of the pool bars or restaurants or being pampered at the Spa.
I have never see such an amazing array of breakfast foods and treats, but don't over indulge and you will want to keep room for Chef Wally's dinner menu.
With many things to do on the island, these are all easy to get to either via public transport, taxi or hire care. A short 20min drive and you will be in the hustle and bustle of Koh Samui's Fisherman's Wharf and markets; a bit further and you are in Chaweng and other attractions.
This is by far my favourite resort that I have ever stayed, and I am I already planning my next visit.

We stayed for 11 days in a sea view villa April 2016 for my sons wedding . Really good hotel, facilities and grounds are very well thought out and the staff were always very welcoming, with excellent service. Very relaxing place to be and they make it easy, helped by spacious layout of things like sunbeds and the large very nice pool facilities and beach facilities/ activiites. Very good standard of food in 2 restaurants (not cheap though) and we looked forward to their comprehensive breakfast range every day. The wedding was handled superbly well!

R&R at the end of an exhausting Thailand Adventure

Napasai was an excellent finish for our trip to Thailand. Extremely relaxing. Attentive staff. Intimate private bungalows were a nice change from other hotels. Hige soaking tubs, great covered porch, powerful A/C. Food on premises was very good. We ended up not leaving the resort during our time in samui bc we were so relaxed and comfortable.

Terrrible end to our honeymoon

Despite the mixed reviews on various website we had eagerly awaited our stay at Napasai. Our Excitement quickly vanished as soon as we arrived to the hotel. The hotel sits on a steep incline which was not disclosed in any of the websites (and not great to find as my husband had a foot fracture). The rooms were had no privacy whatsover (as we were walking to our room we could hear entire conversations of our fellow vacationers who here inside there villas with doors closed). Our room was in dismal shape, clogged sink, slipery floors and poorly cleaned. The staff was rude and unwelcoming, it was the only place we visited we felt this way. The beach was rocky and maybe a good size for a four year old but not if you like to swim or walk along the beach.
It is thus that we checked out within 1-hour of our arrival and went to the W Koh Samui Retreat which had the privacy, charm and luxury we were looking for the end of our honeymoon.

We had a great stay at the Napasai. It was not too crowded which was great and the service was very attentive. The bed was surprisingly hard but neither of us woke up with sore backs so that was good. The neighborhood was basically non existent and you needed a cab to get to the nearest areas.

Napasai - I will never go back, once is too much.

3 nights in Garden Villa
Well... Nothing was good to be honest beside the landscaping.
Look for another one if you like to sleep far from fisherman free exhaust pipes boats and if you like to receive some respect from the staff.
I will never come back to this hotel and will try to avoid the leading hotel group from now on...
Wish you good and hope you have a good stay in Kho Samui.

French chef now on staff is superb. Without compromising the excellence of Thai cuisine, he has managed to apply a Continental flair and creativity to local ingredients and come up with consistently good food. The north shore is quiet and affords good sunsets; however, it isn't as fashionable as the east and south of the island, where they is more to do outside the resort; this resort is for those wanting a quiet holiday.

Great Hotel Experience

We stayed at Napasai for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The hotel service was great and they arranged several tours and activities for us. My wife also enjoyed their spa.

They have three restaurants on the property that were good, but not fantastic.

One thing to note is that since this resort is right on the water, sometimes the passing fisherman boats can be noisy, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper and your villa is on the beach.

Overall an excellent experience.

Peaceful gem

Napasai is high quality, beautiful and especially peaceful resort. Everything in the resort works fantastic. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful high quality resort to relax.

Negative side:
- Air condition was noisy and blew directly to the bed
- the resort is isolated from any action (yes, peaceful) so you need to take taxi ride to get anywhere.

Fabulous relaxing break

Napasai is a fantastic resort - we had such an enjoyable stay. The villa was awesome - very private, well-equipped and luxurious - with definitely the biggest/best bathtub I've ever seen! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and all the little details were taken care of, so we really felt relaxed and even a little bit spoiled! The breakfast buffet in particular was amazing. The resort is a bit isolated, so it's not easy to walk into town (we did it but it was about half an hour and the road doesn't always have footpaths). There are plenty of taxis though, and although they're not super cheap, it's not a major expense if you're only heading out once a day or so. All in all we found Napasai a great place for a luxurious, relaxing break. We checked out a lot of resorts as we visited different beaches around Samui and didn't see anything we thought looked nearly as nice!

Napasai - a hidden gem in Koh Samui

I had never heard of the Napasai in Koh Samui before because - although they are part of the Orient Express family - they seem to keep a low profile. This is suprising as I think it is one of the nicest resorts in Koh Samui. With only 55 bungalows it is not too big and doesn't feel touristy at all. The beach villas are highly recommended, the beach is good and the pool is even better. But what we liked most, was the friendly service from all staff. We would love to go back one day....

Amazing Experience

The Hotel, the staff, the surrounding everything was apt for the honeymoon trip that we made. The staff is amazingly helpfull and the property is just what one expects during a vacation. Only drawback i would list is the lack of choice when it comes to non-thai food....it was very limited.

Wie oft in Bewertungen erwähnt sehr schöne und ruhige Lage an Privatstrand mit immer freien Liegen. Strandhandtücher aber teils fleckig. Es ist aber schon alles sehr alt. Unsere Sea View Villa war schlecht isoliert und die Klimaanlage sehr laut und wenig effektiv. Wenn man sie, nachdem sie stundenlang eingeschaltet war, beim Betreten des Zimmers aufgrund der Lautstärke ausgeschaltet hat, war es bereits nach wenigen Minuten wieder stickig heiß. Dementsprechend schlechte Schlafqualität. Wir haben dies reklamiert, sie wurde gecheckt und es wäre alles in Ordnung. Als Entschädigung bekamen wir eine Flasche Wein. Das war nett, aber eine Klimaanlage, die der Preisklasse und einem 5-Sterne-Hotel gerecht wird, wäre uns lieber gewesen. Ein Zimmerwechsel wurde uns nicht angeboten. Der Fußboden knarzt bei jedem Schritt und wenn man nachts aufsteht, ist der Partner sofort wach. Wenig Steckdosen. Es gibt keine bequeme Sitzmöglichkeit, auch auf der Terasse mit wunderschönem Ausblick nur 2 unbequeme Holzstühle (keine Liegen, keine Stühle mit Kopfstütze o.ä.). Das Gym war klein, spärlich ausgestattet und die Geräte teils defekt. Im Lai Thai Restaurant war man trotz mehrfacher Bitte nicht in der Lage uns ein nicht scharfes Fischgericht zuzubereiten. Warme Vorspeise und Hauptspeise wurden gleichzeitig serviert. Auch wenn sie Halbpension gebucht haben, müssen sie selbst für Wasser beim Abendessen 7-9 Euro pro Flasche bezahlen. 1 Flasche Wasser und 2 kleine Gläser Wein ca. 35 Euro. Das Frühstück

Wunderschönes Hotel in traumhafter Lage. Ich bin noch nie so herzlich und zuvorkommend in einem Hotel empfangen worden. Der Service war einzigartig. Alles blitzsauber und ruhig. Zimmer groß und mit tollem Meerblick. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und für jeden ist was dabei. Auch das Restaurant bietet authentisch thailändische Küche zu fairen Preisen. Ich wäre am liebsten dort geblieben.

Mein Partner und ich haben in Napasai unseren Urlaub gemacht und waren überglücklich, dass wir uns genau für dieses Hotel entschieden haben. Die Lage ist ideal – nur etwa 20–30 Minuten von den Sehenswürdigkeiten und dem Flughafen entfernt.Im Hotel ist alles bis ins Detail durchdacht: Man kann kostenlos Fahrräder, Kajaks oder sogar ein Stand-up-Paddleboard ausleihen. Das Restaurant ist hervorragend, alles war sehr lecker.Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Hotelpersonal! Vom Check-in bis zur Abreise haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Man wurde immer mit einem Lächeln und echtem Wunsch empfangen, unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen. Alles war mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet.Auch der hoteleigene Strand ist einfach traumhaft – sauber, gepflegt und mit einem sanften, fast steinfreien Einstieg ins Wasser. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen, und beim nächsten Mal kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder!
