Our private pool and good bathroom leading to large outdoor shower made it very inviting. Definitely worth paying the little bit extra for.
Far enough from the main road to be nice and quiet, super beach and walking distance to the ferry pier.
They are closing soon to upgrade but I only saw some minor plumbing issues that needed attention.

Solid four-star resort

Comfortable accommodation and good, friendly service in a quiet part of Ko Samui. Meals at the restaurant were good, which is convenient because there’s not much else going on nearby... but that was fine for us. Pool and beach were lovely and relaxing.

Peaceful hotel. Nice room. Bathroom and living room are not enclosed which works well in theory but LOTS of mosquitoes in the evening so can't enjoy the space.

The hotel was very nice, pool modern and the beach was greater than Chaweng beach. The villas were very nicely decorated, modern chic BUT the sound insulation was AWFUL. Each house has 2 villas so they share a wall but you can hear everything from the other villa. I had to ask to change villa because the Russians next door were loud until early morning. The food was very average. Could have more plants in the hallways as a "Nature" hotel

Best stay in Samui!

Saree samui was playing out to be the best choice for our trip and gave us exactly what we always looking for. A great place to unwind and enjoy a little private time at a beautiful quiet beach. The room was to our satisfaction and outdoor showers are always great view to shower to, the outdoor bathtub was lovely. Loved the privacy we had. The staffs are wonderful and the food in the hotel was great. We had fun swimming in the infinity pool and in Mae Nam beach. We also went kayaking provided by the hotel (free of charge). Definitely recommend for a couple or family.

Stayed there during my work on koh samui, very good location. we got a nice welcome from the front desk staff. The gardens are well cleaned. Very good view from the pool and nice drink at the pool. Room got a very good design, spacious and private.

Nice and tentative staff. But toilet facilities were unexpectedly outside the villa, rendering them impractical in high temperatures/humidity. Resort has a serious issue with mosquitos unlike the others that we stayed in, in samui.

Romantic hotel in natural setting

This hotel is classy.. Set in natural gardens in a quiet location, Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Awesome room presentation for honeymoon appreciated.
Outdoor bathroom with rain shower and outdoor marble bath very nice despite some Mosquitos (which are everywhere on the island)
Beach is nice great for swimming (deep and sandy) free kayaks provide by hotel.
Pool and seating around pool and beach very nice . The pool is very big a great for swimming or relaxing
Staff very friendly and helpful and always have pleaaant greeting with every contact.
Bikes and cars easy to hire which are needed to get around the island but located walking distance distance to pier for ferries to nearby islands.

PRO: Gorgeous rooms with indoor outdoor living. Loved the outdoor shower and tub and sitting area. Nicely stocked minibar. Beautiful beach and lounging space. Saree Samui has beautiful, peaceful grounds and a great beach out front! Love the quiet nature of the beach and the hotel.

Loved this hotel, the staff are excellent.
Breakfast is great, the outside bathrooms and huge baths in the garden are fantastic.
The pool is incredible - one of the nicest I've ever experienced - big so that even though the hotel was busy we never felt crowded.
There's a great taxi service up the hill so even though this hotel is quite remote we ventured out without stress.
The beach is heavenly - it felt like our own as it was empty - there's a great little beach cafe which does great food just a few minutes walk along the sand.
Lily the manager is the icing on this fabulous cake - her commitment to her job is amazing - we felt completely looked after as did every guest.

Great hotel on a quiet beach

Perfect for couples who want to get away. Rooms boast private gardens that increase sense of privacy. Outdoor bathroom is quite relaxing and some rooms have private pools. Hotel infinity pool overlooks the beach and has direct beach access (clean beach, clear water). All staff are super nice and helpful in true Thai fashion.

An oasis of calm and tranquillity.

True Thai hospitality at its best. I stayed in a tropical villa steps from the pool and beach. I loved the living area opening on to a private courtyard garden. The attention to detail was apparent from the moment I arrived and was greeted with warm scented towels and a drink. Manager Lily ensured that everything was just perfect and was always on hand should guests have any questions.

I loved the organic garden and the fact that there were homemade jams on offer at breakfast.

A perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng. I would definitely recommend to those seeking time away to recharge their energy levels.

Very nice hotel in quite area

Visited in May for a week, had five good sunny and hot days. It was good from day one, low profile, relax quite resort with mostly couples. The room were excellent well kept and cleaned frequently by very good chambermaids, we had a garden villa, love the little garden and outdoor bathroom. The pool were one of the hotel excellent features and it's quite private beach. Thank you Lily (Manager) and Lek for making our stay an enjoyable one.

Beautiful Hotel with a very private feel!

After endless hours of researching locations, I settled for the beach town of Mae Nam. I was drawn by the promise of white sand beaches, clear blue waters and astounding views of Koh Phangan.
My primary objectives was to choose the perfect location to relax without the crowds and noise whilst not being too secluded. Having my own private pool and garden area to enjoy sunbathing in privacy was a top priority. Above all was good value for money!
My hours of searching sites and reading countless reviews, lead me to the Saree Samui by the Unique Collection. It ticked everything on my hit list and offered generous space and classic style that suited my budget. It far superceded the alternatives on like for like value.
When I arrived at the hotel, check in was very smooth and after a long journey, I was soon relaxing in my Garden pool villa. My expectations didn't disappoint and everything provided in the villa was perfect. The decor is lovely and the standard is very high with everything in working order.
I throughly enjoyed my stay and got exactly what I wanted. I feel totally refreshed and relaxed on my return.
The beach area is beautiful and clean, the views across the sea are truly stunning. Best of all its very quiet and peaceful with very few people around. The sand is quite course but makes a good exfoliant.
Breakfast buffet offeres a very wide selection of good quality choices, my favourite being the pastries and the guava juice its so refreshing. Staff are very attentiv

For those seeking ultimate relaxation!!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. We had a private pool villa which was even nicer than we expected.
The location was excellent being right on the beach front of a quiet beach, long enough to stroll down to further restaurants on the beach or to a little village with a great Japanese restaurant.
The service was wonderful and could clearly see service was at up most importance to all staff..
Would HIGHLY recommend and would definitely return at the drop of a hat...

On arrival I was met with mixed feelings regarding this hotel, having already experienced 3 hotels prior to our arrival here I was a little perturbed by the way the reception staff were so unwelcoming and rather abrupt. Having been the only hotel who wanted our immigration cards which at this point were buried in our suitcases and also wanting a 5000 thb deposit on a credit card along with a group photograph. I felt like a criminal!
We were led along a long path down to our pool front apartments. We were upgraded! Which was excellent.
The apartment was spacious with its own outside lounge and bathroom sat in a locked court yard which was excellent for our little boy to play within.
We only participated in one meal at the hotel which was below average and as a group of 5, 2 people had finished there meals before the other 3 had even arrived!
We visited chaweng the local town which is about 40 minutes away in a taxi, it was very busy and loud with lots of shops.... To catch a taxi (bus) it's usually 100 thb per person.
It's worth a look. We also visited the fisherman a village which looked like a lovely place to eat but shops were limited when it's not market day.
Lily the hotel manager was amazing, very kind and informative. She was always spending time talking to us, even participating with pool activities. She is definately a credit to the hotel which I believe has some improvements to be made.
Never tried the spa as it appeared very expensive.

Great hotel, away from the hustle and bussel, but only a short taxi ride away. The location is more suited for relaxing as opposed to being amongst all of tha action e.g. Chaweng.

Hotel and staff were great, pool is just like the pictures and the beach is class.

Just AMAZING

We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved our stay at Saree Samui. Everyone was just so friendly. We want to mention the guy at the pool (sorry I forgot his name again). He was very attentive and always did a great job. Lilly, the General Manager of the hotel took the time to introduce herself, which was a very nice gesture.
When we arrived we got a 15 minutes voucher for a massage.The rooms were great with the bathroom outside. Felt like paradise.
Breakfast in the morning was like in heaven, sitting right next to the beach and enjoying the view. I could go on and on...This place and the staff are just great! I would stay here anytime again.
If you wanna go for a nice dinner outside the hotel, there is a place called "Anna Kuhn Restaurant" just around the corner with delicious food and a very friendly owner.

Just left after a 5 night stay at sarree samui, I can't recommend it enough. I booked a pool villa which was great! The staff were so friendly especially the hotel manager lilly who made a point of talking to us every day, she arranged information for everything we wanted - nothing was a problem. We ended up getting an upgrade to a sea view villa as unfortunately we had a noisy baby in the next villa, no issues lilly moves us and the peace continued. Great value and super close to the pier if you plan a visit to the neighbouring islands.

We arrived at our hotel to be greeted with a cold drink and towels the staff made us feel so welcome.
This is a lovely peaceful hotel where nothing is to much trouble we did not come accross one member of staff that did not provide excellent service around the pool and the spa and restaurant.
Reception service was also fantastic throughout our stay nothing was to much trouble .
Each night candles where brought to the room for the citronella burner and mosquito tablets.
The location of the hotel is stunning there are plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance although we ate at the hotel in the evening because the food was so good !!
We would definitely go back !!

Really relaxing holiday. The hotel has a good pool and excellent restaurant. The staff make you very welcome and provide great service. The rooms include a private courtyard and lots of space. The facilities are a bit dated but it is clean and very comfortable. Love the outdoor showers.Outside the hotel grounds there are plenty of restaurants and small shops that are well stocked.Plenty of cheap taxis available to take you wherever you want to go. Will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful experience!

We loved the room, very private, spacious and unique. The bathroom and the little bathtub were amazing! The infinity pool and the beach in front of the hotel were very comfortable and clean. We were treated like stars!

Thanks to the staff, here you feel really on holiday. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and very clean just like in the pictures. Breakfast is catered to perfection. It serves real fresh coffee, the style according to your wish! The restaurant serves very good food and is an excellent choice both 'farang food' and Thai food.
This hotel is very well located in a peaceful bay right off the pier to Koh Phagnan. The beach is very clean and not crowded, perfect for relaxing and swimming in the sea.
The infinity pool is large and warm. I'm still wondering if the water is heated, as compared to some other hotels. The service at the pool is fantastic, you will be served at your beck and call like in a five star hotel. Especially thanks Oat!

Nice villas but lots of mosquitos

The hotel is in front of the beach with a nice pool. There are a lot of trees everywhere and there is a feeling like living in the nature. The suite was as shown in the pictures with a big private pool, but the doors and windows don't close well, so lots of mosquitos and lizards were coming in the room. That was really annoying and every day we were trying to get the lizards out.
Breakfast was OK.
There were only 3 pairs of sunbeds on the beach, that were occupied from 10am

Beautiful setting for a hotel right on the beach.

The hotel was very nice but I wouldn't say it was 4 star. The room was a little shabby there was no hot water the lamps didn't work and a very antiquated TV.
The staff were fantastic, nothing was to much trouble. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends but would say that in my opinion the hotel was 3 star.

Had a pleasant stay at the property. Amazing location and view from the property. Had booked the private pool villa but could never use it as the pool was'nt the cleanest. The bathtub also was'nt clean and definitely not in the condition to be used. The property over all is extremely beautiful but more care should be taken in maintaining the private pool in the villa and the bathtub, so guests can actually use it for the price that is being paid.

Lovely hotel in idyllic setting

We'd arranged a pick up by the hotel taxi (BT600) from the airport and greeted with iced water and cool towels which was a nice touch.
The room was lovely and spacious and bed was big and comfy (and the air-con a necessity!).
Was concerned about the outdoor bathroom before arriving but it was fine. There was no hot water but that wasn't really a problem as it was so hot! There was a citronella burner in the bathroom but were only provided with one tealight and these were not replaced (but luckily I'd taken some anti-mossie coils which seems to keep the beasties at bay). Bathroom towels were changed daily.
The pool was fab and long enough to do lengths if you felt energetic. The views were beautiful. The towels provided for the pool loungers was a massive bonus (and I'd recommend to tip the pool guy on day one).
The hotel breakfast was awesome. Lots of choice and eggs cooked to perfection whichever way you wanted.
We had lunch many times in the hotel restaurant and the food was always excellent.
We enjoyed happy hour daily at the pool bar between 6-7pm, where it was BOGOF on cocktails/beers (although you had to have two of the same).
Our only issue was on two mornings we found there was no water in our villa. On calling Reception we were told they were fixing the issue and it was always resolved within an hour or two.
Before arriving, I'd read some reviews about the stray dogs in the area but I needn't have been worried as they kept themselves to themselves

The perfect stay!

We originally had one week here, moved on for our second week to another hotel which was so bad we decided to move back to Saree Samui which was just perfect for us! The room we had - a tropical villa - was very spacious, private and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite. Altogether a good place and well recommended.

Saree Samui was a very relaxing place to spend a few days. The location was tucked away from the main room with great views of Koh Phangan. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The fresh seafood dinners and morning breakfast buffets were quite tasty. The lodging was clean and comfortable with its own private pool and the shower sported it own resident frog!

We spent our last two days in this hotel, after coming back from Koh Phangan. It has a peaceful atmosphere, that we enjoyed. The hotel provided nice breakfasts, even on the day we left early, we have gotten packed breakfast, which was nice of them.

Beautiful getaway on the ocean

First time to Koh Samui and didn't know what to expect beyond the little we'd read/heard. Really happy we chose Saree Samui. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and have a separate outdoor sitting area with a private yard and outdoor tub/shower. The infinity pool and restaurant overlook Maenam beach and the views are remarkable. The service was second to none.

The restaurant food (lunch/dinner) was just OK - the presentation was amazing but the flavours were not always great. That said, the breakfast was excellent. Eggs to order, including Benedict, and great coffee, fresh fruit and ton of other choices. Note there are a number of other options for eating within walking distance including John's Garden and Khun Anna.

The general location is good but I would recommend renting a scooter (which you can do for about $9/day from the hotel) or a car if you want to see the island.

Pleasant surprise

I have stayed in a few places in Samui before, and grew accustomed to the type of accommodation that is usually on offer. We were surprised when we first arrived in the evening as its not the norm, but when we woke up in the morning, we couldn't be happier. I am not a fan of spending my holiday in an air conditioned box, and the planning of each villa ensured that you were immersed in nature rather than spending your time indoors in your personal freezer. Really helped with acclimatization. Each villa has a large bedroom that can be fully enclosed, this is the only fully enclosed room in your villa. The room opens to the covered lounge to one side, the pool/private garden to another side and lastly to the covered outdoor bathroom. Outdoor showers are pretty amazing. Your whole property is fully screened to the outside and gives you the option to open shutters to the beach and outdoor gardens to encourage cross ventilation. The whole layout is a great twist to traditional south East Asian architecture principles.
If you prefer to eat at the resort, the restaurant is about 10% cheaper than the nearby resorts. Pool is 25m and is perfect for laps. Massages are discounted during the day to about 450baht for an hour, and it was by far the best traditional Thai massage I have had in Thailand. Highly recommended

My stay here was lovely. I observed a very bizarre thing with the Thai service industry almost everywhere I went in this country but never more than at this hotel. Basically, the hotel has a ton of staff. For instance, at breakfast, there would be 30 people working but the service was just terrible. They seemed flustered by the slightest request. They weren't very attentive. You had to chase them down to get a cup of coffee, dishes piled up, etc. I experienced this everywhere I went. Overstaffed but nobody is doing anything. It's a weird practice and took a lot of patience and getting used to. The check-in process takes a while. They seem to want to make it into some ceremony but after traveling and being exhausted, you just want to get into your room as quickly as possible. Also, I had to pay $500 for the night of New Year's Eve for a "compulsory gala." I really didn't appreciate that. I was traveling alone and the cost was exorbitant. I didn't HAVE TO go to this thing but I figured I'd get my money's worth. So I went and I had to sit at this sad little table for one on the beach amongst tables of families and honeymooners, etc. It was awkward and certainly not worth $500. All in all though, if you just want to lie by the pool and take dips in the ocean, you can't really beat this place. It was very relaxing.

Private luxury and peace

I and my partner stayed in a beachside pool villa for 4 days. It was the perfect luxurious finale to a long and sometimes tough trip through other countries. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the villa very nice, the beach and public pool area spacious and pleasant, the food and drinks good and not overpriced. The design of the villa, with its airconditioned sleeping pavilion and 'outdoor' bathroom/shower, with private pool and large bath, all in a very private walled retreat, made the stay seem more 'exotic' and special than just another suite. A bit outside central Mae Nam, but a choice of convenience stores, travel agents, restaurants and bars less than 5 minutes walk from the gate. Taxis available inside or outside the resort to take you anywhere else on the island. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

With a few simple maintenance/upgrades we would have rated this place higher.

Our beach side villa was nice, but we would have preferred one away from the pool. Island view was excellent and the beach swims very relaxing.

Room and facilities were kept relatively clean during our stay. Restaurant food was enjoyable and drinks reasonably priced.

Purchased mosquito coils on day one! This helped manage the many many mosquitoes.

Had a great time at Saree Samui in March 2014, from the pickup at the airport with fresh cool towels and water after the long haul from Australia, check in was quick and easy with amazing staff.
We picked this hotel after reading some positive reviews but we were a little worried about it being at the "other" end of the island. We couldn't have been more wrong though. Loved the fact it was so quiet on the beaches, around the resort and surrounding areas. After taking a tour through Chaweng, very happy we decided to stay away from the "popular" end of the island.
We would definitely not hesitate in going back to Saree Samui.

The rooms are large but there was nowhere to put our clothes. One wardrobe with six hangers was all there was. The outside bathroom was great until you need the toilet in the middle of the night! The mosquitoes were virilent and we could not get rid of them. The hotel has a restaurant with fantastic views however there is a limited menu. There are a few restaurants nearby but they are not fantastic. We don't like commercial resorts but we were pleased to move to Buri Rasa at Chaweng beach.

The room was really big and loved the outdoor bathroom. The bed was too hard for my liking, could not sleep well and gave me a sore back. The beach in Mae Nam is not the nicest and the area is very quiet. Staff at reception were lovely but found the restaurant staff could not speak english well

Unfortunately the room description on Hotels.com was not correct: the rooms are very small, the promised 96 sqm are in reality considered as total area, including garden and terrace. The room itself measures not more than 20 sqm. Also the cleanliness of the rooms is having a big scope for improvement.

Hotel on the beach front tho off beaten track

On initial approach to the hotel we were a little concerned where we were about to end up , and the front entrance to the hotel is nothing special but the greeting you get from staff from there on is second to non.
As we arrived late and in the dark we wasn't sure how we were positioned within the lush tropical gardens. No need to be concerned , as there is only 50 rooms what ever your room number you're not far from the pool , beach front and restaurant , all situated together , the decking around the pool a little tired but nothing to be put off staying at this hotel.
The staff are absolutely wonderful , Mack the manager is the first manager we have known to make himself known to guests and chat with ease , offering advise on where to go and how to get there and seemed genuinely interested in how your day had been.
The food was always presented well and so delicious , there was nothing we could fault. Other guests had recommended places to eat in the village a few mins walk but , after checking them out in day light we decided to eat in the hotel unless we were out at the evening markets. Breakfast buffet was excellent with anything you could possibly want and well worth the extra cost on the initial booking.
Only thing that disappointed us was the fact that there was no nice area to walk out to and Taxis are required tho very cheap to get anywhere. There is as all supermarket in the village that stocks most things
Our holiday was to relax and that's what we did

I couldn't have chosen better if I had gone to Koh Samui and checked out all the hotels - this place is amazing. Ideal for anyone on honeymoon or just wanting to chill out and escape the rat race. Facilities, food, drinks all great value for money. Just outside small village with 8-10 local restaurants, all very good if you want to eat out or just have a stroll out for a drink. Next door to beautiful Temple area.

The staff couldn't be more friendly and made sure you were looked after on your sunbed on the beach or round the pool but without any fuss. Cocktails always beautifully made and Chang and Chip special always good to tide you over to evening meal. Lek a great character and always on hand to ensure pool area running smoothly.

Grounds well maintained in very natural setting (no stainless steel here) which helped create a very restful atmosphere. Spa at the end of the gardens gave great massages and lovely to enjoy overlooking the beach .

The individual gardens and rooms were clean and well serviced, plenty of water and drinks on hand, air conditioning to escape to when the temps got too hot - lots of privacy if you want it but also lovely to sit round the pool and chat with the different international visitors.

Breakfast or meals overlooking the ocean just made the holiday even more special - thank you Saree Samui.

Nice relaxing place to stay by the beach

We found the accommodation different. Very private unit with own pool, shower outside. Had trouble cooling unit at night. The staff were accommodating by setting up mosquito net so we could leave the doors open. Some staff had a little trouble understanding English. Overall an enjoyable stay. Would go back but for a longer stay.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from the main town, and there's no free shuttle bus offered by the hotel. However, except of this factor, the hotel is wonderful and the service of the staff are so helpful! They help us lots throughout the trip. We absolutely loved our stay at the Saree Samui. The hotel location was great, right on the beach which was secluded. It is in a part of Koh Samui that is not as touristy as the others but is not too far from the main tourist areas of chaweng beach (quick taxi ride). We stayed in a beachfront pool villa and thought our room was great, would recommend room 114 as the beach view was not obstructed by the main pool. The hotel staff was helpful in giving us directions and tips and calling our tour operators to confirm our booking. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic holiday

We have just come back from a fantastic holiday at the Saree Samui. I had read the previous reviews and took them with a pinch of salt. If you want a relaxing, chilled stay this place is ideal. Ok the resort could do with a paint lift in areas and there are bits and pieces that need an upgrade but nothing that will effect your holiday. The staff were amazing and couldn't do more. Ok sometimes our drinks took a little longer but there is an element of excepting the slower pace of life and enjoying the beautiful surroundings and the yummy drink when it arrives. The food was fantastic and after visiting other areas of the island it was very reasonibly priced. We placed our booking through Expedia and got a fantastic deal so it was great value for money.

Great Place to Stay in Mae Nam, Koh Samui

My Fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved it, the rooms are really great and we loved the outdoor shower and bathtub (it's a separate area so it's not like you are showering in the open and people can see you, it's completely private). The only part we were not happy with is that we asked for Boxed Breakfast for the day we were leaving as we had to leave before the restaurant was open but we never got our breakfast (which was valued at $30 for 2 people based on the reservation made), we asked the restaurant directly for this the night before at dinner and the waiter said 2 times that he would make sure to have it at the front desk... well I guess he forgot which was not ok as we had planned to have something to eat and it was included in the price so we should have received $30 off for that last night. Other than this it was a great experience and worth it to stay here (just make sure that if you leave before 7:00am that you tell the front desk to make sure to have breakfast for you).

Staff at the spa were also accommodating and were willing to help look after the kids while we had our massage done. Overall experience at the hotel was wonderful. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Cosy and quiet resort and neighbourhood. Excellent service (e.g. arranged a shower room to us on our check-out day 'cause our flight took off in the evening). Only minus was that the thai food menu of the restaurant could be better for spicy food lover and pesco-vegetarian. The quality of food, though, was excellent.

Saree Samui - Tranquil and relaxing

Saree Samui is located directly on the beach front at Mae Nam. This beach on the northern shore of the island is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. We stayed in a standard garden villa which was very peaceful and private. The villas each have a lovely garden, surounded by jungle foliage and feel like they are miles away from the real world.

The restuarant overlooking the beach serves lovely thia as well as western dishes. Its slightly more expensive than the restaurants that suround the hotel but the food is of a very high quality.
The pool bar also serves a good selection of snacks and cocktails, perfect for a lazy day by the pool. We were staying here for a friends wedding which was absolutely stunning, on the beach front!

All the hotel staff were incredibly helpful, in particular the restaurant and pool bar staff could never do enough to help you.

A tasteful blend of Thai and Modern Zen

We love being outdoors and we hate air con, so we were delighted that the lounge and bathroom had no wall and that we could slide the bedroom door back and enjoy the private garden from the comfort of our bed. The outdoor roman type bath was very romantic and relaxing and made it feel like a real holiday. This hotel is for those who enjoy smaller boutique style places rather than big resorts.

It is also next to the Maenam Pier so would suit those who only want to spend a day in Samui before heading to Koh Phangan on the ferry.

The hotel is quite nice. The location of the swimming pool was quite breathtaking. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast is included with our room. Although, I wish they would change up the breakfast menu a little bit. The hotel is a bit far from everything else. But, you can take a taxi service to a near by market, or a busier places for about 10 U.S dollar.

Quiet location, terrific staff, nice pool, needs uplift

This hotel is a smallish complex but that is also a plus.

We had a room near the pool. You cannot see the pool as all the rooms have a high wall around them. Each room has a bedroom, outdoor but covered bathroom and a small garden. There are no views from any of the rooms due to the walls. You can open shutters though to look out but as they are at ground level some privacy is lost.

The major letdown was the restaurant which has simple fare. It was healthy food but not impressive.

The major plus was the staff who were very friendly and personal. Chart who is the pool boy and Lek who is the restaurant manager were particularly good.

The pool is very nice, though the deck chairs etc around it are a bit dated. The beach it is on is a quiet beach and we found the water usually cloudy and perhaps not too clean as a result of the ferry terminal 500m away. The ferry terminal's proximity makes going over to Koh Phangam island easy.

There's not much around the resort. As it is down the end of a small road no taxis go past and this means using the hotel car which costs $$ or hiring a scooter. About halfway back to the main road there are some small shops that offer a taxi service. On main road you'll find some small shops but not much in the way of trustworthy restaurants.

Overall the hotel needs some TLC. The hotel's gardens are unkept, including inside the villas. The restaurant area needs a paint and some new seat cushions. Small stuff in the scheme of things.

a bit out of the ordinary

Very nive price worthy hotel with room and bathroom design which is very nicely unordinary. We loved it. Our own privat yard with outdoor shower and tube ! Outdore couch for relaxing. Professional and friendly staff.
Very nice and tranquile beach though as the only downside not for snorkling at all. Only sand and sand and sand. The nighbourhood holds a secrete there are a Thai lady who cooks some of the best food we ate on our 3 weeks roundtrip. Comming from the hotel turn left at the first crossing ,yes pretty dark, and next to the Tayler it is.

We stayed 4 people there for four nights.

Relaxing, private and simple luxury.

Not the most central placement on Samui, though only some 10 km west of Chaweng where you have malls and cinemas.
Lovely and helpful staff greets you, the hotel area consists of bungalows sittning together 2 and has a 3m concrete wall surrounding a small and private garden where there's a sofa/reading corner under roof and a folding screen to open up the wall and to the nextdoor bungalow.
The rooms have low beds with lots of pillows and fair mattresses (very uncommon in Thailand) Bose stereo and DVD player for rainy days. Open air shower with an open air bathtub. Very nice wooden interior and design btw.
A lovely 25m infinity pool with a composite wooden floor surrounding, right next to a good but with Samui standards slightly expensive restaurant - priceworthy though.

Should have ended our 3w Thailand trip here with 3d lazy relaxation by the pool, but had a teen daughter bored of beaches and swimming after 2 w in Samui and Phangan so unfortunately only stayed one night before heading to BKK.

But like Arnold "I'll be back"

Superbe hotel, nous sommes venu en couple, la chambre standard est déjà parfaite et suffisante, la partie mi jardin mi terasse est très appreciable, la literie bonne, le personnel vraiment sympathique.
La piscine avec la vue sur la mer est splendide ! Bon petit déjeuné avec du choix.
Masseuse superbe, certes il y a des moustiques mais ils sont un peu "mollasson" !
L'emplacement près du ferry est très pratique pour continuer son chemin vers les autres iles du coin. Nous recommandons cet etablissement !

Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft sehr freundlich von dem Hotelmanager empfangen. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Hotelanlage ist allerdings schon in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad und die Toilette ist komplett im Aussenbereich. Das Wasser im Pool und am Strand ist nicht sauber. Wir finden, einem 4-Sterne-Standard entspricht es nicht.

Magnifique hôtel : piscine miroir à débordement donnant sur une plage de sable fin avec une mer bleu turquoise. Mer avec suffisamment de fond pour se baigner.
Villa luxueuse surtout celle avec piscine privé.
Petit déjeuner copieux et varié
Des soins et massage assez chers mais de grande qualité
Un petit paradis au calme loin de l’agitation d’autres pages telles que chaweng ou lamay beach.
Bref un hôtel hautement recommandable
