I'd go back again

We had never been glamping before and decided to give it a try. My girlfriend and I are both campers so figured we couldn't go wrong.

First off, the staff here is AMAZING. They surprised my girlfriend by bringing her a complimentary (and delicious) birthday cake. It was well above and beyond. The manager, not as friendly but he didn't bother us, just wasn't particularly outgoing either.

The tents were in decent shape but the canvas needed a good scrubbing in some places as it was a bit moldy/mildewy. I would have expected more for the price we paid. The only other cleanliness issue was in the pool. There is a ring of green algae around it. Not so bad enough to keep me out but again, I would expect better. As far as housekeeping cleanliness issues, there were none.

The restaurant here is absolutely delicious. We ate 4 meals here in our 1 week stay which is a lot for us. We usually like to take in surrounding restaurants and local spots. The food was just too good to pass up. The chicken and beef skewers were spot on. The gin fizzes and wine list were also very impressive. Happy hour from 2-5 buy 2 get one free.

Our stay in the tent was nice. The beds are large and pretty comfy. My only complaint would be that the mosquito nets don't reach the floor and our net wasn't in the best of condition. This is an easy fix though and would make a big difference. I am sure management will take care of it as the grounds are generally very well looked after.

Glamping but not luxury - not in quiet season

stayed for 5 nights after travelling for 2 weeks staying in hostels/small hotels. On our honeymoon and had splashed out on Khwan to get that little bit of quirky luxury it offered. We both enjoy camping and enjoyed meeting the frogs and ghekkos in our room. It is a very pretty tent! But not luxury. We met two members of staff during our stay. They were friendly/helpful receptionists. You could count the bar man but he appeared to be asleep everytime we walked past. The pool had no cushions laid down, they were all piled up and covered over. It looked disused and had repair works for 2 days. Felt rude to interrupt the asleep bar man to ask him if I could get a cushion. I know it rains but it was really unwelcoming. Also silly things like stuff in the draws with no explanation.Didn’t know if they were left behind or left for our use, a sticky fridge, no conditioner (daft I know but we’d paid nearly £100 a night and had paid much less elsewhere and got conditioner) the little bits of luxury were missing. The swing attached to our tent was covered over, in a bush that was dark and hidden away, only 1 cushion for our outdoor seats. The place had packed up for quiet season but had charged us full price,restaurant/drinks/taxis were also pricey. We ate at ‘mr kais’ instead - aroi mak mak!! And didn't have brekkie for 650bt each!! implied we were disappointed and was told I could pay 4000 to upgrade for 3nights so not all get the infamous free upgrade. Disappointed! Shower is fab!!

Memorable glamping experience

We really enjoyed our first glamping experience and was very impressed with the room and surroundings especially as it included a swing. The furnishings in the room were impressive, the arm chairs, the carved wooden trunk, the baskets, the sling bag with towels for the beach, and the enjoyable outdoor bathroom. Attention to details was apparent in every corner. The only setback was that the fridge was way too small and stocked to the brim with canned and bottled drinks which we would have to pay for. It was awkward also to use the boiler which was in a wooden cabinet on the upper level, the mini fridge being at the lower level. The coffee capsule was also not very good and Lipton tea was provided; a better brand could have been offered. There was also no milk (only powdered creamer) for beverages. I think the space behind the bed to the side could fit a larger fridge so that we could put the bottled water (and fruits/juices) inside since the weather was extremely hot and having a cold drink would have been really good. We really appreciated the flexibility to choose what we liked for breakfast (from the menu up to THB 450 value) if we did not want the fixed sets. This worked very well with us. We would definitely like to stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. We were however somewhat disappointed when one of the wine glasses tipped over because of the mosquito netting and we were charged THB 300 when the cost of a decent wine glass is only about THB 89.

We stayed here for 8nts, in a villa with a private pool, during January. Returning for a 2 night \"glamping\" stay during February.

The Khwan Beach resort is a peaceful, stylish, well located, adult only resort. With great beaches, shopping and inexpensive restaurants, all within easy walking distance.

The staff and management team demonstrated exceptional professionalism throughout both visits. Going out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable, relaxing stay.

We would happily recommend this resort to others, and hope to return again ourselves, in the future. Thanks to everyone for making ours a memorable, 5 star stay.

Perfect Honeymoon Destination!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Khwan Beach Resort. We were on our honeymoon and the private pool villa was exactly what we were looking for. The resort was beautiful, luxurious, and the beach was a 2 minute walk from our room which was very convenient. It is a very small resort so if you're looking for something more private and away from crowds this is the place to go with. The private pool in our villa was one of the highlights of our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and the food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend Kwan Beach Resort to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

Comfortable, newer hotel.

The “tent” was quite comfortable and I loved the outdoor shower. The room was nice and cool thanks to the A/C. It was fully enclosed by a fence and the pool/swim up bar was right outside the door. The service was outstanding. The food at the restaurant was delicious.

Loved this resort!!

We stayed here for our last 4 nights of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! Such a nice resort, breakfast is amazing, and the restaurant for dinner is 10/10! A little pricey for ‘Thailand food’ but so so so good! Highly recommend. Staff are great, they do an awesome job at customer service. Private pools are great, villas are at really private, main pool is stunning, and the beach about 4 min walk is awesome, the staff will set up for you if you call them before you go down. Lovely resort, clean modern, and all th finer details really make the place! We will be back!!

It’s not a “hotel” hotel

If you are looking for rooms stacked on each other, then this is not your place. It’s a private, adult only facility for some “our” time. Excellent staff, quiet private places, nice swimming pool, short walk to a quiet beach...that’s what you get here. The place has a small restaurant with amazing food. Overall we loved everything about the place.

Wanted to stay longer

Loved our 6 night stay at khwan. We tried the glamping and although initially apprehensive it was great. Room was really comfortable and leading right on to the pool. A lovely expierence to shower under the stars. You get a mobile phone to contact reception like requesting a bed/umbrella on the beach. The beach is a 2 min walk down a nice avenue. We hired a scooter which reception also organised. A taxi to fisherman's wharf was 400b. Location is quiet and staff are excellent, great breakfast too.

Nice resort for relax and holiday

Nice villa and great food. Air-conditioning in the villa is weak. Quick access to Maenam Beach. Food choice was limited in the area.The beach itself is very quiet, but the water quality and the sand are not as good as that in Chaweng. Staff there were nice and friendly, but the room/villa pool cleaning service was just average.

Fantastic Staff and Food

We where let down at our previous Hotel with regards to food and made a late booking at this hotel, WOW what a surpise. Amazing staff, Amazing customer service and the Chef was and his team made our holiday with some truely amazinf food. If you are looking for fine food and an excellent wine selection then this is the place to go. As we dined all week at the hotel we asked the chef if we could go off menu, nothing was a problem for his team. The breakfast is also a must for your stay. I rarely write reviews but just had to rave about this Hotel, the great management and staff and a big thankyou to the Chef and his team both front of house and kitchen. We will be back !

Fabulous resort.

A beautiful boutique resort in a quiet location. The villas are gorgeous with a private plunge pool. There are plenty of restaurants within 10 min walk if you like to get out of the resort. The resort restaurant serves up a great breakfast. Can't fault the place.

Extremely good facilities, unfortunate timing.

The villas were perfect. Beautifully decorated, lovely beds and facilities. We were very comfortable. The location was good. It wasn't far from the busier areas if you wanted to go out at night or go sight seeing. It was also close enough to walk to nice restaurants, and 2 minuets from a beautiful quiet beach. They also have links with a lovely couple who do the taxi pick up and drop off who we used throughout our stay, which was easy and convenient.

Unfortunately there was building work when we were there, and work being done on the river next to the villa. When we informed the staff about the work being done on the river, they said they would put up a screen so the workers wouldn't be overlooking our pool. We were impressed they suggested this, however it took them three days to put up the screen which was not finished before we left. It did make it uncomfortable to sit out in swimwear in the day, however we appreciate it isn't fully the fault of the resort, they could have just made the effort to finish the screen whilst we were there.

I went on a short holiday to Koh Samui and I loved the hotel! fantastic staff, fantastic room and great pool. And a 2 minute walk from the beach! i couldnt have asked for a better place. And the two French ladies and Thai ladies who run the place respond so quickly to requests.

Looking for variety in food, you can also head to a restaurant strip by the beach as well! very very cool location and place!

Nous avons tout aimé ! Les tentes sont magnifiques, décorées avec beaucoup de goût ! Prendre sa douche sous les étoiles est un vrai bonheur ! La plage est à moins d’une minute à pied et sur demande de gros coussins de plage sont à votre disposition. La piscine est superbe. Le restaurant est excellent, du petit déjeuner au dîner! Adresse incontournable

Great place to relax and enjoy food

Amazing hotel! I can really recommend a stay here.
We tried both glamping tent and poolvilla and both are great. Best value for money are the tents, with the outside shower and bathtub, a hammock and the colonial style interior, at least for couples. Poolarea is awesome, aswell as the style and design of the rest of the hotel.
Great service through and through. Helpful staff and reception. You get your own sunshade and beanbags at the beach.
Food is delicious and well presented. Dont miss the Tuna maki.
The area is not the best however. The beach is good but cant compare to Chaweng or Lamai and it is cut off by two fast flowing outstreams which limit the access to the rest of the beach. You have to walk on a trafficed road to get to other restaurants and stores.
Very good place though for people who want to relax at the hotel and enjoy good food.

Amazing place to relax

Overall the hotel is a peaceful oasis for couples. It‘s adult only, which is the reason why we booked it. Everything in the resort is made with lots of focus on lovvely details. We will surely come back. The breakfast options are really good, nice atmosphere and also here you can enjoy the tranquility of this quiet and relaxing place. In the evenings a well made drink at the hotel bar is a good way to end the day. All is really super, there are 3 little things to make it perfect:
1. any kind of gym, at least a bike or treadmill would be great
2. the beach sometimes is a bit dirty. Yes, it is public but a bit „love and care“ in front of the hotel area would help a lot
3. the hotel is adults only so you would expect this also in the hotel restaurant in the evening. This is not the case. When we realized that we decided to book another place for a romantic dinner as there were quite some families with kids for dinner

Overall, amazing hotel for couples to enjoy some quiet days!

Glamping in Strandnähe

Insgesamt ist es ein toller und sehr entspannter Aufenthalt gewesen.
Nettes Personal, ehrliche Beratung zur Anmietung von Mofas auf der Insel, zum Strand 2 Minuten zu Fuß und sehr ruhig.

Unser Glampingzelt war gut eingerichtet, auch mit Klimaanlage und Ventilator überm Bett. Für meinen Geschmack war das Zelt etwas zu voll gestellt mit Möbeln. Ein zweiter Kleiderschrank wäre gut gewesen. Das Außenbad war einfach toll.
Das angeprisene deutsche TV-Programm bekamen man immer nur mit Störungen rein.

Hinweisen möchte ich auf Buchungen, die inklussive Frühstück beinhalten.
Vor Ort wird einem dann gesagt, dass man aus den vorgegeben Frühstückssorten eines pro Tag für 450 Baht aussuchen oder sich alles in diesem Wert zusammenstellen kann. Alles darüber wird zusätzlich abgerechnet und muss gezahlt werden.

Darüber hinaus fänd ich Liegen für den Strand besser als diese Sitzsäcke!!!! Vielleicht kann man da ja mal drüber nachdenken.

Insgesamt war es ein Erlebnis wert und auf jedenfall weiter zu empfehlen.

Wir haben jede Minute in unserer Pool Villa genossen. Der Service war top, sie kommen allen Wünschen entgegen und sind sehr hilfsbereit. Preis/Leistung ist toll! Man kann sich hier perfekt erholen und Energie tanken. Es hat unglaublich viele Hotels/Resorts auf der Insel, aber wir sind happy mit der Auswahl vom Khwan Beach Resort. Wir würden wieder kommen!

プール付きヴィラに宿泊し、午前はプール・午後はバイクで観光して過ごしました。
バイクはホテルでレンタルできます。１日３００バーツ。パスポートを預ける必要はありません。
チャウエンビーチからは少し離れたエリアに位置し、静かに過ごしたい人におすすめです。
コンビニ・レストラン・ランドリーが近くにあります。親切なスタッフと可愛い猫が2匹いるホテルで、サムイ島に行く際はまた泊まりたいと思います。

Nice place for honeymoon trip

It was nice place to accommodate during your honeymoon trip.
They have quite good pool and you can have some beverage or foods even when you are in the pool.
Also staffs were kind.

You can reach fishermen's village within 40 mins walking from the resort.

ビーチに近いリゾートホテル

従業員のかたが明るくやさしく、出迎えられました。
プール付きのお部屋を予約しました。
やはり虫に刺されるのが心配でしたが、ベープのようなものや、虫よけスプレーが置いてあってよかったです。
日本語はほとんど通じません。
ディナータイムには、歌と演奏もあって、お客様が少なかったのですがたくさん
聴けました。
なぜかタイのシンファビールが置いてなかったです。
モーニングの量は多かったです。
歩いて１分ほどのビーチは、適度な広さでマッサージする人もいたので、さっそく
マッサージしてもらいました。
オプショナルもいろいろあり、スキューバーや、ボートこぎ等のツアーを申し込み、
たくさん体験出来て満喫しました。

飛行機の時間まで滞在していいと言われたので良かったです。

Allasalueella aina hyvin tilaa. Aamupala aivan mieletön! Liikkuakseen tarvitsee mopon, taxit ylihinnoteltuja Koh Samuilla. Liikenne rauhallista ko. alueella.
