Beautiful location and a stunning view from our window. A clean and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff.
The only downside was: It was a stiflingly hot day and the (sash) windows were limited to open only two inches! There was a tower fan provided but even putting this by the window did very little to cool the room.

We stayed for one night as we were attending a friends funeral the following day. we have stayed at this hotel on many occaisions before and it has never disappointed us.
The room was comfortable and clean, the food was good and locally sourced with a substantial breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. We did not go walking this time but it is well sited to walk in the park or up to the hills and springs in the area.

Generally very good. Only negative issue was road noise. The windows are old sash style and block no road noise whatsoever and resulted in very little sleep - but I'm a light sleeper. Take earplugs and you'll be fine.

The staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly. However the hotel entrance is very underwelming and dated. Room corridors feel like an office block. Such a shame as location is excellent. Many downstairs rooms look in need of restoration. Not at its best. Pity as restaurant is very pleasant.

Really disappointed with this stay. Would not recommend.

It was the last day of a road trip & we really were looking forward to getting here & relaxing.

Unfortunately we weren’t informed that there would be a dj in the room underneath ours until 11:30pm!
We wouldn’t have chosen to stay above a club or a pub for that reason. It was so loud… we should’ve been in a room further away, not directly above it. Very unfair.

The whole of Malvern also had the water shut off Sunday morning so no water for a shower or to brush teeth!

The hotel in general was a disappointment. It doesn’t look as nice as the photos, it’s very basic & the rooms are not great & not very clean. Painfully over priced for what you get.

I did speak to the receptionist who did offer a discounted stay if we were to return but it’s unlikely.

Location was excellent for a family meet up in Malvern shops, bars etc so close, we didnt eat here in the evening, breakfast was ok bit of choice on buffet altho was boxed cearel. We had a room in the annex at rear which furniture was a bit dated. Bathroom was spotless. Woken in morning by radio on in kitchen which was opposite plus quilt was highest tog rating ever for July we were just too warm. Would have been perfect in winter

The room we were given on arrival wasnt great..dark and hadxa musty smell, like it hadnt been used or aired for a long time. I notified reception and they immediately allocated us a different room which was just perfect, with a view overlooking the Abbey. Amazing staff at this hotel. Breakfast in fantastic and with the addition of tge new lantern terrace at the back its a perfect place to stay.

Absolutely stunning cozy hotel at the heart of Malvern. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. The room was comfortable, well equipped, clean and quiet. Both toilets by the Reception and in the Restaurant were clean and smelling nice - you can tell if the property is well look after by those things.
10/10 for the food in the Mulberry Tree Restaurant! Great delicious and beautifully looking food. I had dinner in the evening and a lunch the next day - both exceeded my expectation. Lamb koftas were superb and full of flavour and parsnip and carrot soup was as silky and creamy as you can imagine. All of that topped up with great staff who went out of their way to make sure you are happy with the service.
Best place to stay-definitely!

Idyllic Christmas getaway

Lovely hotel near the base of the Beacon, in the Malvern Hills.
Stopped at The Mount Pleasant Hotel for our Christmas break (treat). Our room (room 3) had a wonderful view over the Priory. The staff were pleasent and helpful, we were very well looked after - even before our arrival - with thanks to their wonderful receptionist (I'm sorry, I forget your name).
To the left side of the car park are the Rose Gardens, and start of the 99 Steps, the beginning of the climb up to St Ann's Well, and from there on to the Malvern Hills.
The Mount Pleasant Hotel is an idyllic base for exploring both the Malvern Hills and the town of Malvern, we hope to return and visit again.

We arrived at 2 and departed by 5 in the same day .
The hotel has had some works done in the restaurant and garden area which looks really nice and this maybe the reflection on some of the reviews.
However when it comes to the standard of the rooms, this is very poor ! The room was very smelly, small, very cheap bed with poor mattress, décor was at a very low standard with chip paper on the ceiling. Was given a small fan that stopped working and advised that all rooms where full so would have to give the reception fan to us .
Need a lot of work to be anywhere near the fake reviews the hotel has been given.

The hotel waa dated and average. We were given a very small room built as an extension above the main hotel. Whilst reasonably well equipped and clean, this was on a par to a small travel lodge room. We were hoping for a more luxurious stay and for what we paid, this was dissapointing. Bar and restaurant standard was OK, but the service was v slow.

Like a sauna and no effort to avoid it

The only thing pleasant about our stay was the view. Whilst we did attend during the heatwave, there had been many heatwaves before us and plenty of notice, yet all they provided was a tiny fan. The room was like a sauna. Even with the two large fans we brought with us it made no difference. They should have prepared with air conditioning. Even the portable ones would have made it more comfortable but they hadn’t even tried.

The bed was weirdly bouncy. If one of you moved, then it woke the other which cut the little chance of sleep we had.

We told reception in the morning and all they had to say was that it was a heatwave, sorry, and they would advise the manager.

As I said, there was plenty of time for them to prepare. They hadn’t even tried. And the manager hasn’t contacted us.

Over £200 for no sleep. Thanks

The hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Our only criticism was that when we arrived just after 2pm for a 3pm check-in (we had travelled some distance) we asked if we could leave the car in the car park whilst we had a walk before we returned to check-in. We were told we could not leave the car in the car park until we had checked in; we felt this was unreasonable considering it was within the hour and we were staying three nights. Eventually, the receptionist relented and let us register our car. No attempt was made to see if the room was ready anyway. Our only other criticism was that it would have been nice if there had been a lounge or at least a few sofas to relax on after eating our meal.

Overall our stay was lovely. The room and ensuite were clean and tidy and the breakfasts were delicious. We ate in on our 2nd night which was a pudding club night - amazing! Just a couple of niggles - we declined having our room cleaned during our stay as we were only there 2 nights but did ask for our teabags to be replenished. After asking reception twice we were eventually just given 2 teabags (plus coffee and milk). Also, the room we were in was above the door from the carpark to reception and as a result meant we heard and felt every time someone entered or exited through it as the door slammed shut, which included extremely late (2am on our first night) and very early (6am on our second night). We mentioned this to reception and they said they would pass it on. So not a very relaxing stay - we both came home feeling very sleep deprived.

A good choice for lovely Malvern

2-night stay in a Deluxe Double room - one of the rooms with a great view from the window, over towards the Priory and beyond. The view didn't disappoint! The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed (although pillows were a bit flat). Only used the restaurant for breakfast and a couple of late night coffees to take up to our room (better than the instant stuff provided in the rooms). Staff very friendly and polite, both on reception and in the restaurant. Hotel is a nice-looking place, well situated in the town on a hill, being an uphill walk all the way from the train station (about 15 mins), but very well placed for walking the Malvern hills - literally next to the car park are some steps that are the start of the ascent of one of the hills! Couple of negatives: we paid for an earlier check-in but the room wasn't ready - apparently no-one had told housekeeping that it was needed earlier! Although we could leave our bags in it while it was being prepared. And the other was that the bathroom drains ponged a bit!

Nice hotel overall but economy room not so great

The staff were welcoming and helpful, breakfast was brilliant and dinner in the Mulberry Tree restaurant was fantastic. Our room was clean but very small, very basic and situated on a strange little flat roof area overlooking the kitchens and offices. We had to step outside onto the roof area to access it so it felt like a chalet rather than a hotel room. To be fair, it was an economy double room (but not particularly cheap) so we weren’t expecting the penthouse suite, but it really was cramped and basic, and when the bar/restaurant tip all the glass bottle recycling into the bin long after 11pm, you wake up! The bedroom door has no sound proofing and a gap at the bottom so you definitely hear it loud and clear.

Very disappointed overall poor welcome.the next morning informed reception that the heating in the room & bathroom didnt work. Just inform the hotel have just turned the heating off. I also asked if my towels could be changed. I was instructed to place them on the floor outside my room. I thought this was strange. Also had to ask for my milk & coffee to be replaced. When we returned i found the new towels on the floor outside my room. So clean towels placed in the corridor on the floor!! Not acceptable during the current conditions we are going through. On my second day we had a table booked for 6pm. We ended up cancelling this as we had to get onto bed as we were cold due to no heating in the room. The only nice service we received was when we were having breakfast. The shower door was very difficult to close. The room appeared to be as if it was economy which we didnt pay for for. I am a gold member & I spend a lot of time in different hotels over the country, at least i can say the bed was comfortable which is very important. This was the first time & last time i would stay there due to the overall service me & my wife recieved

I stayed at mount pleasant for 3 nights whilst undertaking a course in the town. The bed was comfortable and room was extremely clean. No dust or lime scale in the shower. I stayed in room 18 that is outside on a veranda overlooking the kitchens I couldn’t smell any food being cooked or hear any noise - always a bonus! I cannot thank the receptionists enough. Always smiling and happy to help. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
