Absolutely one of the most wonderful, unique hotels we have ever stayed out. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and made our stay perfect. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Budapest. It was so convenient to get to sites we wanted to walk to, especially the Hungarian National Museum. We just wish it wan't 5,000 miles from our home!

This is such a cool spot. Great rooms with amazing bathtubs. Interesting art. Comfortable. Clean. Great breakfast in the cafe downstairs. Small, super stylish, totally unique and in a great location. It’s going to the top of my “favorite hotels” list.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The room was a great size with a perfect layout, very clean and warm. The yoga mat was a great touch and used every day. The honesty mini bar (not that we used it) was a great idea and well stocked. It felt very comfortable. Oo and one of the best things - no TV in the room! Love that! The staff were great and very friendly, spoke perfect English and the breakfast in their cafe is superb. Loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Very walkable to many locations or we easily used Uber for places further. The style and atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. Felt so comfortable here. The food for breakfast is also incredible.

Beautiful old property, spacious room with high ceilings. A real feel of older Budapest. Lovely courtyard with a restaurant (not part of hotel) that was nice for coffee or breakfast. However, not for everyone. No elevator and no TV. Our only complaint was the description of the room is misleading. The Deluxe 1 bedroom suite showed photos of a bedroom with separate living room. It was a bedroom only with the living area as a shared common area. The couple who shared the space took all the coffee pods and teabags daily, so we were never able to use their nice coffee machine. Reception hours limited and no one downstairs. .

This is a truly special place. It is very quiet so May not be for everyone. I thought the common areas would be open in the evening to maybe chat to other guests but they weren’t. Food at cafe operating from the hotel is really good and I ate there most mornings for ease. I think a discount could be offered for hotel
Residents although I know it’s a separate business. Beautiful rooms went beyond my expectations and I would really recommend this beautiful place. I was delayed a day because of a cancelled flight and the staff were really friendly about that.

The room was lovely but we had multiple issues including a low battery fire alarm going off all of our first night, no bar open after 10pm even though it’s still advertised as 24 hour and worst of all getting charged again for the stay despite paying with Expedia and explaining all of this to the hotel

This is such a unique place to stay. It feels like you are staying in an old palace. A little careworn but charming and artistic decor. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and quiet, each uniquely designed and decorated, and the location is excellent. The staff were so helpful and friendly. And the breakfast which is included is substantial and delicious. Would stay here again. Only factor to consider is that there are quite a lot of stairs to the rooms on the top floor.

The hotel is funkily decorated, and the location is convenient. Elderly folks should be forewarned that it takes almost 90 steps to climb to the reception desk (no elevator). The service was friendly and good.

Exceptional Eclectic Boutique Hotel!

We were amazed at what a great experience we had at the Brody House in Budapest. The location was off the hectic river area and near some excellent restaurants within an easy stroll. Very close to a train stop. The staff is exceptional and the room we stayed in was unique and extremely comfortable. We will highly recommend to our traveling friends. Saw the original high recommendation in THE ROUGH GUIDE travel book for Budapest. So glad we got a room!

Beautiful game in the heart of the city!

We LOVED our stay here at Brody House! The house is so cool, and each room has its own personality. The staff was so friendly and helpful: Zsanett, Barbara and Hanka were wonderful. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay to experience the different vibes. The breakfast was wonderful as well, and the various sittings rooms with the 24 hour honesty bar was so cool. We were able to sit and work and enjoy the hotel while having drinks at the honesty bar.
The location was perfect as well, everything was in walking distance! I actually regret changing hotels, as I would have gladly stayed all 4 nights there! Highly recommend, and will definitely stay again if I go back to Budapest!

Beautiful treasure in perfect location!

This hotel was wonderful! The ladies who work there were so friendly and welcoming. The location is wonderful, the breakfast is great and I love how each room has its own personality and vibe. We stayed in Julia's Studio and the Photo Room and both were wonderful. I actually regret checking out and moving to another hotel, ha. Would have gladly stayed there longer if I could have! Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic place to stay, the suites are very quirky with a shabby chic style. Great breakfast in an ideal location . Building has tons of character and is located close to the metro, bus and tram stops. Would recommend it to anyone unless you are not super mobile as there are stairs to the lounge/breakfast and open stair treads in our room. We had a fully fitted kitchen in our suite and a massive bed. Will return.

Brody House is a great place to stay. Unless you don’t want stairs. We were in the Droga room, which meant going down 2 small flights of stairs and then up 2 main stairs to get to reception and breakfast/ drink facilities. Best to ask for a room on same level as reception. Staff couldn’t of been more helpful.
Visited Brody Studios which although not close is worth the visit.
I would stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the photo room and loved the decor. The room was very spacious. The hotel was in an excellent location and everything was within walking distance or close to transportation. The only drawback is that there is no elevator and we had very heavy suitcases. There are 87 stairs to climb so it is a long climb. Having said this, the young women on the desk were very willing to help with our suitcases. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room and the public areas are really like in a deeam everything is very clean top design. The staff is really kind and gives a bery good service.
The lack of elevator and a round the clock reception or at least till midnight are the only things that are really missing. Otherwise it would be a real ten

We really loved the atmospheric shabby chic, arty decor. Our room was huge and it was nice to have a proper bath. The staff were welcoming and very helpful with booking restaurants and taxis. We had a great time in Budapest from this base, which was central but quiet.

Absolute Budapest Gem

Brody House is brilliant, we loved it and cant wait to stay there again. However, if you need a TV in your room and can't deal with a lot of steps consider elsewhere. That aside the place is so funky, each room is very different and so unique. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and probably the most helpful staff I have ever experienced, including 5 star places. I'm loathe to recommend it so highly as it may get over booked and I wont be able to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Our key was brought down to us as reception is on the second floor and our apartment was on ground floor
This is helpful as it saves you climbing the stairs but I think check in is comprised
Staff on the weekend didn't seem as professional/interested as the week day staff
Nice place on the whole but it is a different experience
I had arranged for birthday suprises to be put in room and these were very nice
A birthday muffin breakfast suprise didn't materialise unfortunately

Artistically decorated, interesting, cosy hotel.

I loved the artwork, the funky speakers in the lounge areas. Breakfast was fresh and healthy. Staff were helpful, esp Ibolya who helped with luggage up the gorgeous winding staircase and she gave clear directions on how to get around to local attractions.

Brody house is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. Each room has so much character we wished we lived there. The staff was helpful and gave excellent recommendations. Be sure to have breakfast in the common area, it is a feast not only for the stomach but for the eyes.

A very unique, bohemian hotel in a grand old building. We stayed in the Photo Room which was beautiful and calming - lovely soft bed and great shower! We greatly enjoyed the experience of using the other stunning hotel communal areas, which made it feel like home from home. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is well located being a 15-20 min walk to Vaci Utca and all the main attractions. You could stay more centrally but the neighbourhood is very quiet and neighbours the Jewish area- the place to go for pubs, including the ruined bars.
Our only request would have been a blackout blind for the room (we don't like light early in the morning!), but that's personal taste. The many stairs are tough after a days touring but that is clealy stated on the website. All in all a wonderful experience which is just what we were looking for.

focus on art work featured in each room quirky and whilst I personally rated our art work as total junk but hey it provided. photo opportunities and a talking point.The hotel reception was located two floors up but staff were helpful and very friendly and out of hours there was an honesty bar - a totally new concept to me but it worked very well.

We stayed at Brody house last week for 4 nights. Our first time in Budapest. It is a great city and we really enjoyed the visit, but I have to say that staying at Brody house was the highpoint.
More like staying with friends than in a hotel. Our room was very quiet, quirky and beautifully designed. In the evenings we went back and sat (often alone) in one of the living rooms drinking wine from the honesty bar. We never got tired of looking at the art on the walls, the sculptures, photos...The staff were great too - Really friendly and helpful.

We'll certainly be going there again. A unique experience.

Very cool, modern, unique B&B. Service was impeccable (Szilvia and Klaudia were great), room was awesome, breakfast was good (would recommend instead to go to Pek Ponts bakery 2 min. walk), location was perfect. Woul, and will, definitely stay here again. Not your ordinary, boring hotel, but rather a unique, artistic experience. Highly recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!
