Great location close to local transport, lots of shops on the streets nearby and a short walk to pubs, restaurants and nearby attractions. The room was spacious and very clean lovely presentation. We were really happy with our stay, lovely hotel which was clean everywhere. Room was a decent size, with space for clothes and suitcases. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and varied, with great coffee. Free coffee/tea in lobby at all time. Although transport nearby, the hotel was in a great location, about 15 to 20 minutes to most locations. Local restaurants on the door step which would great value for money, although highly recommend booking as they were busy at end of January which we thought would be classed out of season. Would revisit and recommend.

The room was tidy, clean, and well presented on arrival, which we really appreciated. The temperature in the room was also very comfortable, creating a nice environment to relax in after a long day.
However, we did expect the coffee mugs to be changed or refreshed during the stay, which didn’t happen. Also, the bedding was not ideal — only a duvet was provided, and during the night it became too warm, with no lighter blanket or sheet available as an alternative.
On a very positive note, the reception staff were outstanding. They were always available, friendly, and genuinely willing to help, which made a big difference to our overall experience.
Overall, a pleasant stay with great service at reception, but a few small improvements to room details and bedding would make it even better.

Reception staff very good. The only down side they gave us an old map for open top bus. Which we sat and organised our tour went to go book and the green line has been discontinued.
Room on 6th floor had adjoining room and the people next door very noisy.
Room not 4 star in my opinion. Clean enough but decor a bit tired.
Breakfast was nice enough.

The hotel is very lovely. However, the room was far too hot. This was on the first floor , accessible for the public to climb in through the window. We were re-located to the 3rd floor, which was also very hot, but we were able to keep the window open all night.

On a more positive note. The receptionist went out of his way to help. Breakfast was amazing. Also very clean. The coffee was also a bonus.

This hotel is amazing and very well priced. It's beautiful, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. The woman that checked us in, Duoaa went above and beyond to give helpful suggestions and routes for our short stay. The young men at the desk were quick and very helpful in making sure our rooms were satisfactory. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The only slightly weird thing is some of the mirror edges on the bathroom doors allowed to be seen from bathroom to bed. 😅 But everything else was exceptional.

The hotel was located well a short walk from the central market and one of the bridges - the wifi was really good in the sense that both myself and my friend could both log on to the wifi without issue.

The issue we had was that the bathroom sink tap leaked and the shower head would randomly bounce upwards whilst being used which meant anything hanging up on the rail would get soaked

My wife and I stayed for a week. The staff were very friendly and professional. The property is beautiful. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood with many small restaurants and bars. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood both day and night as it was very picturesque.

It is located very close to public transportation so getting around in the city is very easy.

The breakfast was good, could have been better but not bad. The gym facilities was a bit small and I wish they had a better selection of dumbbells as I couldn’t properly do my workout with what they had. But overall the gym did suffice.

The WiFi was a bit slow at times but sufficient.

One last thing I’d like to see would be smart TVs in the rooms so I could stream movies or shows from my mobile device. As there we no channels in English.

Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel. My wife and I will be staying here every time we visit Budapest.

Well located hotel, walkable into town, and in a rennovated historic building. The rooms are modern, comfortable and well appointed.

Unfortunately, it is let down by poor maintenance.

In one room, the shower was faulty: water sprays up to the ceiling; the small shower was leaking and inoperable; and the temperature control got stuck on scolding hot - apparently a known issue but not addressed.

The front desk was good enough to move us to another room. But, in this room, the temperature control on the air conditioning didn't working properly and so the room was very warm at night.

Then, on the third day and without explanation, all the water was shut off for maintenance - with no notice to guests.

Not the best experience.

We had to change rooms three times during our stay. First, the shower was broken in the original room. Then, in the next two rooms, the air conditioning didn’t work at all. Worst of all, the hotel manager never showed up to address or resolve the problems. Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

I don't think the rating for this hotel is accurate. Just because you have a great time in Budapest doesn't mean your stay at this property was wonderful. While the hotel itself is beautiful, they lack the customer service expected from such a highly-rated establishment. The manager is to blame for hiring a staff that doesn't possess the sophistication needed to deal with customers from around the world.
When I first arrived, I knew I was early for my check-in and expected to drop off my luggage and come back later. However, as soon as I reached the front desk, the agent checked my credentials, stepped away from the desk, and told me to leave and return at the correct time. I found this interaction to be quite insulting.
Upon finally checking in, I noticed there was no iron in my room, so I called the front desk to request one. The person I spoke to informed me that they didn't have any available. When I asked if there was a service for pressing my shirts, he giggled and said no. He then mentioned he would get one to me when it became available but added, \"I have no idea when that will be. What do you want from me? We don’t have any.\"
The following morning, I decided to have breakfast at the hotel. When I informed the hostess that I had not paid for the breakfast package and asked if I could charge it to my room, she returned while I was getting a glass of orange juice and asked me to put everything down and sign a piece of paper before proceeding.
Overall, this place is okay

Good hotel for a city break. Great location with all the main attractions walkable (if you are not lazy). Breakfast was limited and they ran out of orange juice on our last morning! Breakfast area could have been cleaner. There is no bar as such but to be honest not really required when these are plentiful in the surrounding area. The room safe did not work and even though this was reported it was not resolved.

Great Hotel in an Ideal Location

This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are very comfortable, with good wifi, coffee maker, and mini fridge. I tried out the sauna in the hotel spa, which was lovely. There is a nice sitting area off the lobby with free coffee, water, and wifi, so a nice place to sit if you arrive before check-in or just need a place to have some down time between activities. Location is excellent! The District VIII neighborhood is quiet, but still within a few steps of several nice restaurants and cafes. A short walk takes you to the more boisterous District VII for bars and shopping. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Eurostars is a Spanish hotel chain, so Spanish is spoken by the staff as well as English, and signage throughout the hotel is in Hungarian, Spanish, and English. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a relaxing holiday at this hotel. The receptionists are very nice and helpful; they responded kindly to every request. The breakfast is varied and tastes good and not too salty. The waiters are nice and work hard to take used plates away. There are free sauna and the reception turns it on 15 minutes before use. The room service is tidy and clean. There are food streets nearby and within walking distance at Vaci street. In general, the prices in Budapest are reasonable, people are nicely behaved, there are plenty of sight-seeing places, such as museums, palaces, baths, river, parliament. Although not as grand and delicate as other European cities such as Paris, Roma, Vienna or Prague, it nevertheless deserves a top-10 spot and has its own treasures and characters to present to the visitors.

Had a great stay but we were only there for a very brief time -- we needed to leave very early in the morning for our flight. That means we didn't get to really experience many of the hotel's amenities.
My one complaint is really a nitpick -- the bathroom door is a translucent, patterned glass. It looks nice but it means that when the light is on in the bathroom, it lights up the sleeping area as well.

Just returned from our trip, this hotel was fantastic, the staff were soo lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our room was made special and my mother was welcomed to celebrate her birthday. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully presented, the breakfast room is very pretty with a choice of hot or cold food which was all regularly replenished and the staff always on hand to ensure you're well looked after, just outside the hotel are some bars and restaurants making it perfectly located if you are unable to walk very far, could not fault this hotel highly recomended, will definitely be returning.

I love the location of this place! It's next to Catholic Church, a plaza with 2 restaurants right outside! The restaurants serves authentic Hungarian food, it was highly recommended! The location is safe and you can walk anywhere. Budapest is for me the most beautiful city in Europe....it is so underrated. Budapest has the most beautiful sites.

I had a terrible stay at this hotel. My room was freezing due to a broken AC, which the staff acknowledged but made no effort to fix. The bathroom had unsanitary conditions, and the breakfast was appalling—rotten fruit was served. When I raised concerns, the manager refused any concessions. Thankfully, Expedia stepped in and provided some compensation, but the hotel itself showed no accountability. I strongly advise against staying here.

We have stayed one night in different rooms with my friend.
Firstly, it was very difficult to adjust the temperature of the water for shower but it was only for my room.
Also, there is no free water in the room, when I told them, their answer was strange because they have free coffee and water at lobby but it is not logical to leave bed and go first floor when I need to drink something :) (water exist in fridge and not expensive but i didn’t like that there is no free water in the room)
Last thing, elevator has no safety check like laser control for the doors, if you are between it can be closed. It has to be fixed.
But breakfast was really good!

The breakfast was good, but it was very busy so sometimes you were waiting a bit for the staff to refill something. We went during a peak travel weekend, so that's probably why. The staff worked very hard during that time. It's in a very walkable area and the Bolt drivers knew the hotel so it was easy for them to find it. They offer luggage storage if you arrive before you can check-in, and the front desk staff did their best to accommodate an early check-in when possible (we were able to get in about 2 hours earlier). Highly recommend!

We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were wonderful. Free tea and coffee in the lounge off the main reception is a lovely touch. Breakfast is plentiful and covered most things anyone could surely want or need. The building, although very historic is beautifully modernised to a high standard. The beds and bedding was so comfortable, the room was clean and well maintained. 4 star hotel which lived up to its star rating for sure and at a really good price. Easy 15 to 20 minute walk down to the riverside and central Budapest. Same to the Jewish quarter which is a must visit place for food and drink.

Fabulous location in a quiet district of Budapest. The old Palace exterior houses a modern hotel in a pretty square. Our room was modern style with large comfortable bed and great large bathroom with good shower.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very welcoming, friendly and super helpful with tourist queries. The location is just south of the jewish quarter with buses and trams within a few minutes walk to the attractions of Budapest. Fabulous value great stay all round. Thank you.

Our reservation could not be found in their system on arrival. Took over an hour to get checked in at 22:00. Room key assigner not working, had to be taken up to the room each time.

Both of these things are understandable being a mistake in their booking system and an equipment malfunction, but the lack of professionalism in dealing with them was not great. Even though the staff on shift were very friendly they seemed thoroughly unsupported and did not really know how to rectify the issues. Not a great start.

Room was decent, very clean, bed comfy. Breakfast nothing special but again fine for being included.

Overall was expecting better after seeing their previous ratings. Would not stay again.
