La limpieza del cuarto no es la mejor... en el cajón del buró había un palo de madera como de Starbucks que nunca lo quitaron. La regadera le falta mucho mantenimiento, hay mucha humedad y sarro. Pero la potencia es muy buena. El sillón y cojín del sillón igual necesita una limpieza profunda. Las dos cucharas que dejan junto a las tazas del café estaban sucias. El colchón bastante bueno, no excelente pero las almohadas muy muy malas, es como si durmieras sin almohada, muy planas, necesitan una renovación urgente. Amenidades muy pocas y chiquitas. Solo un litro de agua para dos personas y el resto te lo cobran. El desayuno excelente!! Muy buena calidad y puedes comer bastante sano, hay variedad, mucho mejor que un desayuno americano. Check in y check out muy rápidos! Llegando tienes que pagar un impuesto que fueron 16 euros por toda la estancia. La ubicación muy buena, cerca el tranvía y el metro.

Had to climb over the bed to get into the bathroom. Quiet property. Insulated.
The area is extremely sketch. If traveling alone, especially female, be careful. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid advances from strange people. I had a few experiences that could have ended badly. People in the area did not help. Yellow taxis are what Uber shows you. Do not get into the vehicle if the driver does not match the photo description! Sit in the front of the car. The hotel staff are oblivious and not helpful for anything. Do not rely on them.

Refreshing modern & tasteful decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms cool & comfortable, just a bit too small, but it’s Europe, so not surprising.
Only negative is the lack of electrical outlets near a mirror.
Overall, a good experience and addresses one’s needs.
Plus: shoe cleaner in the lobby. Really liked that.

Perfect for a city break

I liked this hotel. Well positioned in the city so it was easy to plan walking routes (I didn't use it but public transport is cheap). Restaurants, supermarkets and takeaways nearby (get your chimney cakes from Chimney Cake Zone!). Polite and helpful staff. Lots of choice at breakfast including hot items that changed daily. Only drawback was my room was downstairs next to the dining area. There was no noise at all, even at breakfast time, but it meant I had to close the curtains for privacy as my window looked straight onto a corridor. I had no outside window, although I doubt I would have had much of a view and probably traffic noise if I did. There is air conditioning and with some experimenting I found a comfortable setting. The room was comfortable and there was a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. I would stay here again.

The door lock of my room was broken do I qas feeling bit insecure at night, my bed was dirty however I did had room service everyday, the toilet was old and dirty, stepin shower door was damaged, room size was decent, they diffinetly need to change the mix drinking machine for breakfast, overall I liked the location of the hotel but they can do better.

I had a window which didn't have any view except wall of next building.
The breakfast had a good self and was being topped up regularly.
Good position just on the edge of Pest centre.

Smelly Hotel Alert: Hotel fashion Atrium, Budapest

We recently stayed at the Hotel Atrium, but our experience was severely marred by a serious sewage issue. The manager informed us that the hotel's drainage system pushes back Budapest's sewer smell into the bathrooms, exacerbated by a lack of ventilation in the toilets.

Due to the overwhelming odor, we were forced to keep the bathroom door locked throughout the night, as no alternative rooms were available. The next morning, the housekeeping staff member who opened the door was nearly overcome by the smell.

The hotel's attempt to mitigate the issue with chemical cleaning, multiple flushes, and air fresheners provided only temporary relief. Despite providing us with a freshener spray, the smell persisted. It wasn't until we requested a room change that the hotel accommodated us, as we were unable to sleep due to the unbearable odor.

Unfortunately, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel due to its severe sewage issues. Our experience was undoubtedly the worst I've encountered in any hotel

Nice, spacious and clean room and in a very convenient location. Round the corner from the metro (2 stops to the Puskas stadium where we attended a concert), bus and tram and many sights walkable in under half an hour. There is also a Spar and Lidl within 5 minutes walk including places to eat nearby. Staff were always welcoming and friendly. Plenty of breakfast options of good standard and tables were continually cleared and cleaned. The bottle of water and air con were most welcomed during the hot weather. WIFI was always reliable and were able to store bags before departure

Very friendly staff. Building work in progress when we arrived which wasn't ideal, but quickly finished. Very small towels which were changed every day even when we hung them up - from a sustainability point of view, we were happy to reuse. Good breakfast, good location. Fulfilled our needs.

Overall is good, staff are nice and helpful, breakfast is good, room is clean even though not that big but still acceptable.

Bear in mind that atrium view means a room without window but a glass wall facing the corridor (if you don't close the curtain completely, outsiders may see all happening inside) and inner wall of the building. If a window is a must, you have to think twice.

The property has a unique breakfast area with a large Atrium and a clock pendulum ticking on the wall. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were tidy and functional and the bed was comfortable to sleep in.
The breakfast was great and my wife really enjoyed the variety. The hotel is 2 min walk to the Red 2 Metro line making it so easy to get around the city.

Five night stay at the beginning of March was enjoyable. We particularly appreciated the complimentary tea/coffee in the breakfast area. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the hotel was very hot all of the time. Fortunately we had a street-facing room and could open the windows.

This hotel is not 4 star! This 2 or max 3. Except good breakfast nothing else was good - room furniture is like in dormitory. Shower cabin with mold. Shower head leaked on all sides - like sprinkler. Management will need to perform some quality check and maintenance. During stay I parked on street in front of hotel as it is free after 8 PM or 10 PM (check sign!) till 8 AM. And it is free on Sat and Sun. You can pay from Parkl or Nemzeti app. There is McDonalds nearby.

This is advertised as a 4 star hotel which in my opinion it definitely is not. It seems more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. The room was compact sized which isn't a problem- the problems were that (i) the tv was not visible from the beds, (ii) the hotel provided soap dispenser was first empty and then broken, (iii) the room and particularly the bathroom could have been cleaner especially for a so called 4 star hotel, (iv) the hotel tried to charge for 2 bottles of water left in our room- these are usually complimentary from my experience. We were not charged for these in the end as the receptionist made a point to say that they will be complimentary given the issues we had. The hotel also tried to give us a free bottle of wine to make up for the issues but we politely declined because we don't drink alcohol. The breakfast was good. The location is very central and walking distance to the metro station however the local area seems a bit rough and was loud during the night. The staff were polite. Overall a nice budget hotel- not a 4 star hotel at all.

It’s all a lie

We are expats that have travelled extensively and have lived overseas for numerous years, this hotel was by far the worst we’ve stayed in. We booked this hotel based on it being 4*, this is not a 4* hotel. The rooms were unclean, bathroom has mold around the base of the tub, and shoe marks on the walls. The room was ridiculously hot, woke up every night sweating, and no window to the outside world. The only window we did have, did not open and looked out into the hallway by the elevator. We asked reception about the heat, we were told that the thermostat will only go to 15C, it was not 15 in this room, more like 25. We had to leave the door to our room open when we could to get cool air in the room. The service cupboard was next to our room so every time that was used it echoed into our room. We will not stay here on our next trip to Budapest.

Be aware the bar selection of spirits is limited but the mini bar has normal prices so it kind of evens out.

Nice enough hotel, and cheap in November. When you look closely around the rooms etc, you can see the paintwork and fixings becoming tired.

The lights outside my room were particular bright even with the thick curtains the light seaped through in the night time.

Lastly the noise level, so I didnt hear much from other rooms, but occassional loud guests would come back late at night (2/3am) and you could hear them echo around the whole building/floor due to the design and the fact that the door/window didnt seem to keep any noise out.

Push comes to shove, I'd stay here again, it was nice enough.

Picture on the Website promises more than it was. Room cleanliness can be vastly improved. Better maintenance is a must, ie. bed-side lamps and some staircase lamps didn't function.
Once should be aware that the windows in this picture are towards the inside Atrium of the hotel and the rooms are never as big as pictured

This hotel is so bad that we checked out after the first night (booked for 4 non-refundable). We decided we rather pay for another hotel again than spend another night here. The staff was helpful they even offered another room after we complained for the cleanliness. Cheap furniture, ripped curtains, dirty walls and bathroom, uncomfortable bed, the breakfast is ridiculous, and not quiet (because there are no carpets and the walls are thin you can hear the guests walking above you and talk in the surrounding rooms - felt more like a student hostel, definitely not a 4*hotel! Not kidding (we travel a lot and have college degree in tourism)

This is an average hotel in all regards: Location, cleanliness, staff service.

The hotel is locates in a relatively centric area, but not the most appealing. It is a rather dark spot one block away from two main streets but the neighborhood makes you feel insecure.

My room was tiny, and I don't think there are many space options. Kind of modern decor but with a terrible mattress and I'm super flexible with this but this bed felt like sleeping on a table. I had to sleep on 3 double folded duvets which didn't help much, so next day I was really tired.. extra duvets was the only solution given at the front desk as they say all their beds are the same. I'm actually surprised that no one has mentioned this before in the feedback. Pillows.. really bad..the cheapest you can find and again no options.

Cleaning was average, but the lightning was bad so I don't really know. What I know is that the WC requieres to be thoroughly cleaned, not just the visible areas. That was disgusting.

Be aware that the hotel has no room service, nor snack machines or whatsoever, so it felt not like a 4 stars hotel.

It is relatively cheap and inside facilities look nice, but I strongly recommend you to get closer to the Danube as you will find nicer neighborhoods and better offer of restaurants and services nearby at a similar price range.

Autumn family trip

Overall, a very lovely hotel that's centrally located and within 5 min. walk to subway. We received excellent service, the staff were all extremely helpful. Many thanks especially to Adam who had helped us with early check-in as we had brought our toddler with us. Buffet breakfast had different variations daily, the lift was never crowded and the locked luggage room provided very secure storage on our last day. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Budapest.

Modern, clean, well situated, excellent staff, the best shower, nice atrium, decent breakfast buffet, close to Metro, trams and buses. Walking distance to the coolest parts of downtown. Would stay here again for sure. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Taxi service to the airport was simple too. At night the windows blocked out all the street noise.

Upon arriving we were allocated a small room on the ground floor. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed. However it proved too claustrophobic for my wife who had very little sleep. The staff were very accommodating and provided us with a larger room for the following nights of our stay.

The hotel is well located and of a very interesting design. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay here and in Budapest.

Nice hotel close to city centre

Lovely hotel,modern and close to city centre with all transport links on the doorstep.
Friendly staff in every department always pleased to help with any questions you may have.
My only negative is the toaster needs replacing as only one side working and very very slow but this is a minor detail
as everything else was faultless.

Beautiful little hotel in great location

This hotel is very nicely decorated in shades of blues and greens with a 3 story atrium that gives it a fresh modern feel. All rooms face the atrium so there was no street noise. The hotel is located close to the Jewish quarter with a lot of trendy restaurants and pubs.The staff were all very friendly and efficient. All of the front desk staff spoke English. The breakfast was very good- included the traditional European fare with a few \"American\" items added like scrambled eggs and pancakes. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

great location

Hotel was not far from New York cafe which is a must to go in to with its beautiful gold interior. There are supermarkets near by, including Burger King and McDonald's. You can buy tickets for hop on and off bus from this hotel and the bus stop for this bus is on side of New York cafe. Managed to walk to most of the attractions and used Astoria hotel as the main point if you go left from it you can get to Hungarian museum and market and then vace street main shopping, if to the right you can get to synagogue and basilica. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast area was a bit too busy at times, have to be quick for a table. Cleanliness could be better.

Wow - impressed !!

Very pleased I chose this hotel. It was so reasonably price and the overall experience exceeded my expectation. I knew most of the rooms windows were facing the atrium however I chose the room (201) which was facing the street and hence had natural light! The room was modern, big, clean and the bathroom was a good size and had modern fittings! Also a bar fridge available. The only thing I would Change is fatten up the pillows however you can ask for more.

The receptionists couldn't do more for you if they tried. They all spoke brilliant English and were so helpful when I asked for extra milk, coffee and had questions on the area.

The atrium is about 6min walk from stop 4 hop on hop off bus and you can use this bus to get around the whole of Budapest.

The breakfast was plentiful however the only improvement I would suggest is upgrade their cheap plastic 2 bread toaster to either a four bread toaster or a conveyer toaster otherwise you do wait some time for bread!

I would definitely stay here again as the price was so decent and the location was good to the bus and also had a few good restaurants around.
