The room was in good conditions, very spacious nevertheless it was too hot as the heating was on 24 hours. The hotel is based in a convenient location, you can reach most of the attractions by foot or by public transport. You also have a lidl across the road. In terms of customer service, I would say that there is always room for improvement, smiles are free guys so give them away...

No. fridge . if you need to use them after hrs . yes breakfast is available upon request . but the question is what if someone with children wanna warm up children’s milk or you check in late when everything is closed . you should get the point without saying . I can see to keeping business profitable . Too but it’s basic facility in most hotels

One star is to say much, they had me and my partner waiting over 20 minutes for someone to come and do the check in, when advised that we would come late due to delayed flight they never answered the phone (tried multiple times), when the man gave us the key to the room and we finally went we saw one of the dirtiest places in a while, it was full of hairs everywhere and the duvets had massive yellow stains and red stains, the worst part? Is that when I went back to reception the man ignore me the first time by pretending to be asleep (bear in mind the reception was full of people) and on the second time I went he threw me the spares duvets that he had which were dirty and didnt want to change us the room, so yes a one star is to say a lot of this experience

Not enough signage for the property, walked past it 4 times as it only has a small A4 sized paper sign on a random glass door.
When we got to reception at 12:30 pm, the receptionist was on the phone. She covered the phone to say check in was at 2pm. I asked if we could leave the bags and she gestured to the corner. I asked if there was a toilet and she rolled her eyes, passed me a key and said it was on the first floor and continued on the phone. I spent the next 10 minutes walking around trying to find it as there were no signs. We left to get food and returned at 1:55 where the receptionist told us to sit down as check in was not until 2pm. We were not called across at 2pm therefore we had to go to the desk. Just unbelievably rude, unprofessional and unnecessary. certainly not welcoming in any way and made a very disappointing start to our first stay in Budapest.

This is a “Get what you pay for” kind of place, so keep an open mind. Can’t really beat the price but it does reflect the overall experience of the place. Good location with tons of bars and restaurants around, and within walking distance of all the sights you want to see in Budapest. Very large room and bathroom, just not cleanest joint in town.

Our experience was good,

I believe they were doing some updating and maintenance so some things were out of order. It would have been helpful if there were clear instructions on how the hotel operates like Breakfast tickets, borrowing items, the key card for the electric, ect. We were having to go back many times to ask about these things. So maybe having a pamphlet going through all the amenities would be helpful for tourists. But over all good attitude from staff and helpful when we had those questions.

It's very good location but the building shows history. The staff is nice and tried very hard to maintain but somehow the water dripping when aircon is on and shower room leaking out on bathroom floor when taking shower.

Good location, mediocre room.

Ideal location. Mattress is a thin piece of foam (not memory foam, just normal foam). The curtains are about two feet too short so do not cover the windows. No shower handle holder. Noise from street can be heard quite severely. Ideal for a 1-2 night stay if you are happy with those conditions, but certainly not if you are looking for luxury.

My flight was delayed leaving me basically stranded in the middle of the night. I booked this hotel in need of a place to stay for the night before I can catch a train in the morning. It was easy to book, easy to find and they have a 24hrs reception desk which was good, with me checking in at 12am. It's within walking distance of one the major train station. Busstops, shops and food places right at your doorstep.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and spacious, had my own en suite bathroom, which was also clean and fully stocked.

Spend a bit more and stay at a proper hotel.

Just spend the extra and book a proper hotel. There were hairs in every bit of bedding, towels and sink. The toilet had a leak and caused a sewage smell. Hotel has refused to refund after I check out early. It’s cheap for a reason but basic cleanliness shouldn’t be negotiable.

My unpleasant stay

The room was comfortable and spacious with an excellent view of the square outside but the breakfast was horrible. There was no coffee or tea available or even hot water so I couldn’t even make my own. All the hot food was cold and there were used and dirty plates, cups and cutlery everywhere. Big let down! Plus, I almost got locked out of the hotel on my last night. Kept ringing the buzzer and no one in reception would let me in for ages. Got very scared that I’d be out on the street all night. Was not happy.

When we arrived, it was not clean, the trash wasn t empty from the other guests. We did not receive anything for the 1 year old baby, not even a blanket, not to mention an additional bed for him. He had to sleep in the middle, where the 2 twin beds were mergeing and we had to improvise with one blanket for him to sleep well, but one of us had no blanket for the night.
They don t have a praking space, the parking that is mentioned in the hotel description is Ibis's hotel, nearby, and you will be redirected to them.

The biggest and probably the only pro of this hotel is its location. You can literally reach anything within 10 minutes from here. A lot of shops, bars and good connection to public transport. If you stay during the winter be prepared that radiators are not functioning so you have to use the AC for heating which can only be switched on when you’re in the room hence you always arrive into a cold room. The place looks half finished and since I’ve seen reviews complaining about construction from more than a year ago I assume it’s a constant inconvenience. Bathroom was clean but the shower cabinet was leaking and flooded the place every time. If you’re solo travelling for a short time like I did this hotel is the most budget friendly option, but if you expect any level of comfort just scroll to the next hotel because it’s definitely not what you’re looking for.

Wifi was terrible and didn’t connect at 2nd floor and even when it gets, it keep disconnecting-reconnecting in every 20 mins and gave enough frustration. Complained about this every day, and day staff was very ignorant and he was more busy in playing pubg. He even told there must be problem with my phone. Also, staff is very slow in check in. Moreover, renovations was happening in my floor making it very dirty, noisy and smelly. Avoid if you want to stay connected to social media and no value for money even if transit at door steps. All transit available within 2 mins walk.

The room itself looks fine just very dirty. The bed is not a bed, the mattress is so tiny.
The bathroom is good.
For the price it is ok but I wouldn’t stay more than 2 nights.
Also we were staying next to a room that was being renovated and the workers started at 7am!!! Impossible to sleep.

Worst stay ever. Stay away from Room 121.

We booked for 3 people for 2 nights stay. The location was hard to find specially if you arrived in late in the night. The receptionist who checked us in was trying to be helpful when we told him there was only 2 beds made. He gave us the linens but we had to make the third bed ourselves, instead of relaxing after our flight. He lent us a kettle but couldn’t provide coffee cups, so it was useless. Room 121 is beside the service area so it’s near the stairs leading down to the breakfast area and as you leave the room you can see the dirty linens in front of you and some broken appliances. The bathroom floor leaks, overall, the area was unhygienic. We couldn’t settle all night so we decided to checked out the following morning and the receptionist who took over from last night wasn’t nice at all, she has a sour personality after we explained why we had to checked out after staying one night only; she needed a training in guest relations. The other rooms in the aparthotel might not be as bad as the room allocated to us but after a very disappointing night, we would be recommending this place at all.

Great location, my room wasn't ready (I got in before check in) but the very nice housekeeper w/ PERFECT English let me change in a clean, safe area. The room was small but very clean. Mattress was a little hard but I only stayed 1 night. The AC worked GREAT (American Standards!) and I could even use it via a remote.

The hotel was a little bit hard to find at first as it was just a door in a massive building, badly signposted. But once found, it turned out to be a great location for public transport or for walking around and exploring.
The room itself was very basic but it was very cheap so I had no complaints on that front.
I never tried the breakfast.

This hotel is located close to downtown, has excellent transportation to anywhere in the city, as well as lots of restaurantes and bars nearby. Shopping center half a block away, too. The price is quite reasonable. So we had lots of fun exploring. Ir also has a Hungarian breakfast if you like a full meal in the mornings.

Beautiful hotel, ideally located for nightlife and the ruin bars (highly recommend szimplakert ruin bar and karavan street food). A little hard to find on first arrival, there's a sign for burger king on the right and a metro to the left of the hotel, in between there's a mirrored door with a paper sign saying centrooms hotel. Great service from staff, very friendly.

My stay was nice at the hotel.
I had prepaid for this stay and future stays in Prague, Turin, Florence and Rome. However, Hotels.com issued reservations stating that I am to pay at the hotel, which made my trip uneasy because I had to pay again before resolving the issue with Hotels.com when I return. I even have them on my bank statement back home. This is very disappointing.

This hotel is fine if all you need is an affordable place to crash. It was clean and the staff was nice. The street noise at night from travelers coming home from the bars can get a little much so we had to close the window and use the A/C. I would stay there again but wouldn't necessarily seek it out. The heater controller knob was missing so the heater had to be on full blast. Hotel staff could not fix it. Hotel is under construction so it was loud during the day. But the location and price were great and the staff were nice.

They are doing renovations on the some of the rooms, and they started cutting metal lets then 10 meters from our room and 6:30 in the morning of the first day, they were so very nice and wait till 8:00 the next day and the rooms arent sound proof as it is. Then we had to leave 2 days early due to illness in the family, and we still had to pay full price. We then got a phone call from them asking if it were ok for them to rent the room to someone else, we didnt care as we werent coming back but they still didnt want to give us our money back from the 2 extra days we already paid for. So all in all its a VERY bad place to stay even for the cheap price.

Comfortable three-night stay!

Hotel is located in a very central location. The nearest metro station is literally 10 seconds from the hotel entrance. There is a plethora of eateries of all price ranges (fast food:McDonald's Burger King, KFC;...pizza, gyros, and local food!). The world-renowned Boscolo Hotel Budapest is just 3 minutes away, which means you are right around the corner from the famous New York Cafe, which is an absolute gem and must-visit... Understand that the Danube river is easily reached from this hotel on a 15-20 minute walk. Great nightlife is very nearby as well.

The room itself was big and came with four beds four our group of students. It was very big and had a very convenient kitchen. The bathroom was big and comfortable. I would have wanted to see more hotel-provided toiletries such as complementary shampoo and shower gel... there was only hand soap.

Overall, this group is great for students and families alike. Price was excellent and very convenient for a three-night stay. Hotel staff was very attentive and cleaning-lady very kind.

NOTICE: Booking through Expedia for this hotel does NOT pay for your stay... You have to pay for your full stay at the END when you check out... Just keep that in mind.

Unique type of hotel, a building with an open air indoor courtyard, but all the building was not part of the hotel, rooms sort of scattered around the building. The room was comfortable with an interior view of the courtyard. The lift was a bit ropey and I usually avoided it but I was on the top floor. Breakfast was a self service buffet which was good except you have to keep asking for things, like forks or juice or milk etc. However the staff were friendly and the reception staff spoke good English. However, the wifi was poor and very slow.

The location is very good, close to subway. It's better to part across Rakoczi in the 8th district, it's cheaper. On the cons - they are cash-only and you may end up in a room overlooking the street where people calm down at about 2am, so come late and drunk or you'll have problems falling asleep :)

Near to supermarket and other shops but a bit too near to the Metro and bus stops to be quiet especially at night,although pulling down the shutters in the room did lessen the noise to an extent. Good air conditioning which worked well. Friendly staff.

Very recommended!

Hotel is well located, very easy to access metro and touristic destinations. It is a great value for money and for travelers on a budget. Nice comfortable room and very clean. Staff was very friendly.

staff excellent, superb location room very hot I'm sure we could of asked to have the heat reduced but couldn't be bothered. excellent value for money.

Good value and central

Good value for money, very central, friendly staff. The only drawback was the noise at night - caused by other guests talking in the corridor - but that was the fault of inconsiderate guests, not the staff or the hotel.
