A little out of the \"touristy\" areas but a 15 minute walk takes you there if that is your thing. Room very large and the accessible bathroom (we requested) was excellent. Wheelchair turning space in both the room and the bathroom. Large, very comfortable bed - good lighting, quality soft furnishings and towels. Windows that open. Breakfast substantial and breakfast room staff very good. Three lifts (elevators) and a lovely reception area. This hotel has been remodelled from an older building and they have kept a lot of the decor and features which gives it a lot of personality. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Great place in a perfect location. Our room was nicely appointed and the price was good. It was close to a major Metro stop and was within walking distance to many sites. Some suggestions: a Nespresso machine in each room would be a nice alternative to the instant coffee provided, and the fitness room was dark and uninviting. The breakfast buffet was okay, but it would have benefited from more freshly-prepared foods (for example, an option for cooked-to-order eggs). But these are minor points for a property that overall is a good deal and a great location.

Situated in a great area for sightseeing. Not far to walk to the various Christmas Markets. Also the hop on bus tour has a stop within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was clean and the bathroom was stocked with all the cleaning products you need on a stay. Only downside we had no view we looked into another bedroom. We found the room to be so hot even set on the lowest setting didn’t help so we ended up opening our window. Had the buffet breakfast on the last day. Selection was ok however the hot food wasn’t that hot. But the cold buffet had a great selection. Overall if you’re looking for a hotel for the Christmas markets this one is ideal.

Great hotel, good staff and clean rooms. Location convenient to restaurants however lots of homeless in this area (same as many cities in the world). Perhaps the local government could flush or clean around the metro area periodically to keep the smell at a minimum.

The hotel is great. The rooms were quite nice, and the location is fantastic. It’s less than a block away from the metro station. The staff was incredibly helpful during the check in and check out process. Breakfast was quite good. I would highly recommend Mövenpick for a stay in Budapest.

An excellent city centre hotel. Located within 100 metres from metro in the heart of Budapest. Clean, convenient with large rooms. Busy area as you’d expect, however, once inside it’s quiet and didn’t hear any traffic or other noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good dining options and bar area.

Not a 4* hotel. Property is clean but rooms are small, house keeping is terrible. Restaurant is only open for breakfast & options are not great compare to price. Bar is small & option to dine in is not good idea as tables are small and thought having meal in a bar not ideal with kids. Overall management doesn’t have customer service even after several complaints have not received proper apologies or taken initiative to fix the issues. Proper management training required.

It was a great experience staying at the Mövenpick hotel in Budapest. The location is great, and all public transportation is within 2 minutes' walking distance. Most of the tourist sightseeing places are 20-30 minute walking distance. The hotel staff was helpful, and the food was excellent.
The only issue I had was that I was not able to find the hotel location in Apple Maps to find the directions.
Overall, it is a great hotel and highly recommended. I will stay again when I come to visit Budapest next.

We have been on a 24 day trek through Europe and our last night was spent in Budapest at the Movenpick. It was by our our our favorite. The location is central to everything, the parking was in the same building, the beds were probably the most comfortable we’ve slept in in weeks, and it was quiet and clean. The front desk staff spoke English and were extremely friendly with directions and restaurant recommendations, which turned out to be fantastic as well.

Hidden Gem in Budapest

The staff was very friendly and the location is prime in Budapest for sightseeing and dining. The breakfast for $14 euros per person is top notch and the hotel dinning area is beautiful so you notice you are in Europe. The coffee is the best I tried in the whole trip that involved 5-6 hotels in different Central Europe cities. The bar is also very lively and the servers were really nice. They also have an adjacent parking for a fee.

The worst stay of my life. It was torture.

I stayed there 3 years ago, the decor was dated then. Much improved now but the renovations we ongoing and directly above my floor.
There was constant drilling from 11am such that one couldn't have a conversation or watch a movie with noise cancelling headphones. It was impossible to sleep during the day afyer being out all night.
Only one lift worked by the end of the weekend.
It would have been nice to message me before the booking with an option to cancel which i would.
Breakfast was ok.

A little noisy with traffic at the front of the hotel.
Room was fine, just quite stuffy and dry air. Could use a bit of TLC. Didn't use the dining or other facilities so can't comment on those. Sauna was out of action when we were staying.

The property is undergoing renovation (I don’t recall being informed) this resulted in two gripes on my part.
1. The ‘Spa’ area was closed.
2. We (The British) were assigned rooms on the top floors the old dated rooms with chipped baths and tired grubby carpets while or so it appeared our European friends got the new rooms on the lower refurbished floors.
Do we pay less ? Or are we just not bothered enough to complain when a friend did complain he was told fully booked which we knew to be untrue but how do you prove that ?!

So here’s the pros. Location is good . Close to the metro and is central to everything. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. The service at the front desk is good . They are helpful and speak great English. My room was large and comfortable.
The cons, the hotel is not well kept. It’s going through some renovations but the lobby, lift and some parts of it is run down and not well managed.

The elevator took very long everyday to get downstairs.

I don’t think I will stay there again. For the price of $120 I expected a little more for the name of Novotel .

Staff at reception very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us detailed instructions about how to get from A to B by metro, by train and by bus. The room was large and modern. The windows opened and we like that. The air conditioning can be easily controlled by the guest. The small fridge was empty, very convenient for us to put our own things.

I used to stay at this hotel several times.last time i stayed here I had a bad experience withbthebroom and mainly with the wifi connection. The network was verybslow and collapsing every 5 to 10 minutes. Wel after some years i have return for a one night stay, and what do you know, nothing has change , especially with the internet connection. Hotel management should take some action in this way. Breakfast though was vey rich with many options.

Transport was very close. Eating options were very close. Hotel is not very clean. When ever you reach the counter for any issue there response is that they cannot do anything until manager comes back and manager is there just in the morning. Manager was very helping but overall it is not worth the price as it is not what you would expect from a 4 star and for the price you pay.

On arrival we were given a room with overhead shower on a deep bathtub which was impossible for me to use. Fortunately a room with a walk in shower was available. The room was cold the aircon didn’t work but we were able to open the window. The lighting was shocking, only one chair available to sit on, a horrible carpet all very outdated.The restaurant was beautiful but only open for breakfast which was a shame. Very limited food menu in the bar. The staff were pleasant.

This property locates just upstairs of metro and many bus stops. However, this hotel is super SUPER DIRTY and old. I never see any hotel dirtier than this one. Hair on the pillow case, iniside towel, on the bed. And there are countless hair on the floor and nobody hoovers it. I also saw other guests also argue with the reception for the cleaning issue. Really hope you don't try it. Too dirty!

There was a different regional selection of food each day which was great.

The rooms don't have AC as advertised, during winter this is heating only so the room was very hot. The hotel however gave me a tower fan which helped.
