The only negative aspect of the room: the A/C unit blows air directly on the bed. No way to avert/deflect the air elsewhere regardless of the swing panel. Fan only became too hot, A/C on directly above dehydrated us over night.

Best location in Malacca
The best place to stay in Malacca, right at the center of the old town, a building behind the Christ Church Melaka. With a 7-11 at the entrance, the weekend market and Hard Rock Café and Jonker Street, it’s literally in the middle of all the action. And friendly people at the reception!

Lovely little hotel in a fantastic location. Clean room, good shower, can’t ask for more really. Was really nice to be able to pop back to the room for a quick freshen up whilst wandering around Melacca as it’s super close to the action. My only criticism would be that the air con was a bit loud and occasionally woke us up but nothing too serious, not enough to knock them down to 5 stars, and most importantly it kept the room nice and cool!

At red house / stadthuys and Jonker Street, super convenient location if you place to visit this area, staff are polite, room are nice, only need to improve mattress, can feel the spring.

I agree with all other great comments abt this place. I only flag these 2 not too pleasant experiences - 1) wifi was weak to the point of unusable at all. I totally cannot do any planning or google search next day itinerary. Counter staff simply says it is weekend and it is like that.
2) Shower area slant towards door and water flows out and wet half the toilet floor - messy! Again staff said yes it is same for all rooms. Omg
Lastly, nothing to do w the hotel, when u park at the open carpark across the Public Bank, try not to park under the trees (see pic) esp overnight.

We stayed for 3 days 2 nights and the hotel is located at the heart of Malaca central and is walking distance to Jonker Street, Riverside and the heritage site and the hotel is one of the heritage house. The staff are friendly and helpful such as Ms Tayeh. The hotel room is clean and cosy and we will come back to this hotel again.

Very nice hotel, love the decor. Also very walkable with parking at the Museum parking lot close by. Also love the windows with natural light. Will stay there again! :)

Great location - most of the major areas of interests (including restaurants) are within easy walking distance. The staff are courteous and helpful.
However, the room I was in had shutters that could not be open (great for the afternoon sun, but otherwise frustrating) BUT no curtains - so was awoken by the early morning light.
And there is no breakfast and not even the possibility of an early morning coffee - unless you are happy with making it yourself using (not very good) instant, and powdered creamer!
The hotel is right by an extremely busy road and so there is traffic noise right up into the late night and early morning.
Nonetheless - extremely reasonably priced for a budget hotel.
However, the room I was in had shutters that could not be open (great for the afternoon sun, but otherwise frustrating) BUT no curtains - so was awoken by the early morning light.
And there is no breakfast and not even the possibility of an early morning coffee - unless you are happy with making it yourself using (not very good) instant, and powdered creamer!

This is a great little hotel, that is extremely close to all the action of Jonker St. area, but far enough to be nice and quiet. It is super clean and comfortable, with excellent staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel was located very near to Night Market, Hard Rock Cafe, River Cruise which made it very convenient. However, Hotel was not located by the river as seen in their pictures. So, there is no room with river view. Staff was friendly and welcoming. As for boutique Hotel, this Hotel is actually quite nice. Bathroom is so spacious and nice. Even nicer if they add bathtub in it. Amenities was complete from bottled water, safety box, tea, slippers, hangers. However, parking lot is a bit far from the Hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay in this Hotel.

Jolie et pratique, super emplacement à 30 secondes de la place rouge. Propreté très bien et personnel convenable.
Pas de petit déjeuner par contre, mais il y a Costa Coffee ou 7Eleven à côté.
