The room was spotless, and the staff were outstanding, genuinely some of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve met.
This was easily one of the best stays I had in Vietnam, and the hotel is located in a great, safe area.

Classy hotel to give you a restbite from the hustle, bustle and noise in central Hanoi. Lovely room, brilliant staff (shoutout to the brilliant lady with a bob who worked in the restuaurent) who also speak great English and beautifully decorated hotel all round.

The hotel is listed as a 5 star hotel, however, the rooms inside look more like a 2-star motel from 30 years ago. There was a moldy smell in the hallway and room, dirty bedsheets, and cracked bathtubs. Shower head was not adjustable and drainage was horrible.

Amenities aside, the staff there are extremely unhelpful, does not provide proper answers and English is clearly not their strong suit.

The minibar is also not included, which is not usual for a 5 star hotel. In general, the hotel just feels extremely money hungry, even extra bottled water was charged at a rediculous price. Worst of all, they had a surcharge for 2nd person staying there, which was a first for me.

Horrible experience overall, would never return and would recommend staying away at all costs! Literally had better experiences in 2 star motels.

The hotel oozes old charm and the staff were amazing.

The rooms were incredibly loud though once people were up, which is generally around 6am daily. The sound travels painfully clearly from room to room and via the corridors. This wasn't really ideal for someone that doesn't particularly enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn and wassuffering with jetlag.

A bit old but well maintained hotel in a great place to visit including railway road coffee shops. Staff is friendly but housekeeping was below expectations. Don't worry that's the standard in most of countries in Asia.

I asked a staff whether it is safe to walk on my own at night, and he said \"yes, absolutely safe\" and let me know how to get to the convenient store. On the way, a grab bike guy was calling me \"hey pretty\" many times while following me in where no one around, Later on, a car approached to me asking to show the city around.. it was quite scary around midnight.
No matter what the local says, it does not apply to you and stay safe!

Decent hotel but stay at the JW Marriott if possible… depending on which side of town you need to be on the Hyatt or Marriott are better options overall. With that said, the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were older and felt like the mattress was far past its expected life- desperately needs updates… conference room was musty with fuzzy carpet and heavy curtains etc… like a time travel experience. ☺️

The staff at Hotel du Parc are excellent and attentive to all our needs. The facilities in the hotel are great.

Hanoi is still developing a modern transport system and walking around is a bit awkward but the taxis are very cheap and this makes it easy to overcome these deficiencies.

Wound up staying for many more days than expected and can’t say enough about how nice a stay it was. Hotel du Parc was a sanctuary of peace and be calm in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Far enough from the Old Quarter to get a feel for real Hanoi. The staff, from the doorman, to housekeepers and staff in the executive lounge all were wonderful and helpful in ensuring I was comfortable both at the hotel and in Hanoi in general.

I liked that the hotel is situated near a few parks, and that there are a range one of good restaurants weighing a short walk. For example the famous Obama Bun Cha is a 10 minute stroll. There's also a supermarket and electronics store nearby.

Worth staying a little bit out of the Old Quarter

A little bit further out of the French cord than what I would’ve liked but easy to just take a quick cab down to the center. Rooms were comfortable spacious and clean. We really did enjoy our stay breakfast was good. Definitely recommend staying here.

Service was generally good with staff being very polite, friendly and welcoming, however we did ask for a fan in our room which never appeared. The restaurant was very accommodating in trailering their dishes to suit a vegetarian diet and the breakfast was good. However the air con in the room didn’t work particularly well, the shower came with a shower curtain rather than a door and the plug for the bath didn’t fit and the room was not soundproofed, despite being on the 12th floor we could hear a lot of street noise. That being said we did really enjoy our stay and would recommend it.

Lovely hotel but would not recommend the area to a westerner. The roads are lethal to cross esp with kids and ther is nowhere to eat other than the hotel. Luckily the hotel is great and the food is very good too.

Carpets could be cleaner.

Excellent front desk service and staff. The lounge was nice as well. Carpets and fabric in room needs cleaning, not that they are dirty but anyone with a sensitive nose would feel stuffy with dust mites or something. Not complaining but furniture could be refreshed considering it's a 5 star hotel.

My room was located at 7/F, noise from the streets was acceptable to me, but a colleague that stayed at 11/F facing the same direction was woken up by the noise early in the morning. Great value overall speaking.

I had to go to the university before checking in, so I said so to a staff when I arrived at the hotel, he understood immediately, allowed me to check in luggage, also another staff help me to exchange money as well, and passed me umbrella because of seasonal rain, it's very I felt their kindness and customer 1st and well cared.

My stay was efficient. The staff were always very helpful. The room is very move and the hotel is well maintained. The restaurant food is quite good.

Local area is busy, and reflective of Hanoi
and Vietnam's status as a developing nation. It should be noted that there is no local late night dining, no room service after midnight, and no convenience stores open late. Arriving at 1am meant nowhere to eat aside from a taxi ride to the old town food street. And while this is a great local experience, after traveling for 12 hours, getting in a taxi for a 10 min ride to explore food street was not on my list of things I wanted to do.

My wife and myself had two stays in the past week broken by a visit to Holong Bay. The hotel staff were very helpful in all ways, nothing was too much trouble. The taxis that bear the Nikko name were always on hand and good operators (cheap to get around). The bar had a fantastic happy hour being good nibbles and great value. We were always being helped by the concierge operators when coming and going and always translated for us to the taxi drivers. One of my best hotels.

Nice for a Hanoi hotel, great breakfast buffet

This hotel is a nicer one by Hanoi standards, but hardly lives up to the Nikko hotel reputation. Rooms, carpet and odors show signs of age. The staff do their job, but do not go above and beyond as do staff at other Nikko hotels. Late check out came at a high cost despite the hotel having availabilties, the bellboy became upset when not tipped (we hadn't yet exchanged currency), communication over the phone with the front desk was difficult at best.
We will return to this hotel for the breakfast, however. Best I've had in Hanoi for that level of hotel. A lovely mix of Western, Japanese and Vietnamese options (it is not a mile long like Nikko HCMC, however).

Disappointing and overprized

Disappointing stay as the condition of the hotel was the exact opposite of hotel nikko in saigon-
Do not eat the food in this hotel, it is not only overprized but it also lacks in freshness and quality. The pool and fitness area looked alrite. The staff was helpful. The bar only offered one type of wine by the glass.
We saw a bottle of wine called 'Apothic Red' which cost $12 in Aspen, CO in a bottle shop and about $30 in an expensive restaurant in Aspen. The hotel offered this inexpensive wine for &100?? We had a laugh and ended up having a drink in a different hotel. I would highly recommend hotel nikko in Saigon BUT not in hanoi

I stayed four nights on a business trip in March 2015 and found the hotel to be convenient to my needs. The hotel staff were very accommodating. Breakfast buffet was adequate - there was a sameness about what was on offer each morning, but the variety of food was fine. Rooms were spacious but I found the bed to be a little too firm.

A piece of Japan in Hanoi

Its amazing how the Nikko managed to change everything from the moment you cross the door.
Everything at the hotel have the Japanese touch of simplicity and minimalism.

The rooms are simple but super clean. They remind me to a business hotel trapped in the 80's.
The breakfast is not the best I ever seen, but for sure you will find something to eat.
Gym facilities are simple, but enough for one day. Wifi free and perfect.

The place feels a bit tired, but we got a good deal so I cant complain a lot, and we use the hotel just for a nights sleep.

Its very interesting that most of the guest we saw were Japanese, they really embraces their brands and style of lodging. To be honest, I am more in the side of the luxury/comfort, for that reason this place is just average for us.

This is a terrific hotel...the rooms were spacious and very well appointed. The staff was courteous and helpful. The onsite restaurant was very good; the breakfast buffet outstanding. Concierge services were very helpful. This is not the heart of Hanoi, but is convenient to certain areas of the city.

So let's start.
Nikko receptions, guards, welcome men (at the door) are absolutely perfect.
But the housekeeping maybe only 3 out 5 points:
- calling to ask an iron, they told that i've to call to Laundering service to ask an iron, but then she told (houserkeeper) that she will do it. I think she must make a call straight, not forwarding me to others.
- we set lamp in the door, that we need room make up, we woke up in the morning, and come back to our room at about 1h30pm, but nothing have done. The room was still the same.
- so we have Complimentary shoe clear, i've a LV shoes in blue colour, I asked her to take care accurately, then she told me that your shoes can be clear by Black cream, or just shine cream. How could she propose the black cream for Blue shoes ?

Sorry for that critics, just wanna Nikko management take care about it.

But in the end, sorry for my english, but dear Tourists, Nikko is very good hotel, and I absolutely would stay again. Thanks a lot.

The first contact could be a bit cold or even rough, then you take measures and see that they try very hard to match the Japanese standards for this hotel.
Not achieved at all, actually, but feeling the goodwill from staff is of some compensation.
I fund all people in general very helpful and friendly in and out of the hotel, despite to \"sometimes\" feelings to be lost

We were upgraded to an executive floor - the lounge service is very good. Staff are helpful and they can speak fluent English. We spent most of the time relaxing at the lounge. Buffet breakfast at the ground floor is ok except coffee and tea. Room cleaning is not up to the standard - no replenishment of toilet paper, memo paper, tea, slipper etc.
