The hotel was okay. Didn’t realize Tru by Hilton is the lowest of the low Hilton brands - the sink is in the room, the bath is a glass enclosure, no hand soap next to the sink - you can get it from the shower every time you want to wash your hands or just forget being sanitary.

For $66 a night (we got the corner room) it felt expensive by Vietnam standards. We had wonderful stays in Novotel and Melia for $10 more. The staff was decent, the breakfast buffet was limited (by other hotels in similar price point) but appreciated the fresh dim sum and noodle selection. Location is great - walking distance to train street and a 15-20 minute walk to old quarter. We didn’t get much noise in the room even though we faced the Hanoi station.

The room is compact - reminds me of hotels in Korea or Japan. While space is limited, the design is clean, minimalist, and functional. Everything matched the photos seen on Expedia.

The gym is VERY small. It includes:
- Dumbbells up to 35kg
- A bench
- Two treadmills
- A chest press machine
Realistically, it accommodate 2 people, one on weights and the other on the treadmill.

The hotel’s location directly across from Hanoi Railway Station is a double-edged sword:
- Pros: Extremely convenient for train travelers. You can walk to the station in minutes.
- Cons: Sound insulation is minimal. Station announcements are loud and frequent, and they continue well into the night. The only quiet window we experienced was between 1 AM and 4 AM, making restful sleep a challenge. Worst sleep during our entire stay in Vietnam. Bring earplugs.

Clean and comfortable in a good location. Helpful staff. Breakfast was a bit limited but plenty of it, both European and Asian tastes catered for. They don't sell beer at their bar and all drink service stopped at 10pm. The laundry room was excellent and reasonably priced.

There is ongoing construction directly adjacent to the hotel. It was right outside my window on the 3rd floor and went well into the night. Between that and the train station announcements sleeping was difficult. But the hotel has a very walkable location

Hotel is extremely upscale and worked for us really well. Rooms were comfortable and amenities were great. Breakfast included so that was a major extra plus. AC didn’t work in our room initially but they gave us a new room so it was okay. Overall good stay

Great for a one night stay coming from SaPa on the train. Location is excellent, across the Hanoi railway station.
Staff were fantastic and let me store my luggage for a few days while I visited SaPa. Few food options short walk from the hotel.

Perfect place to stay if you need to be near the Railway station. We booked a room just to rest between flying into Hanoi and taking a night train to Sapa but I would definitely find it comfortable to stay a night or two. Room is small but very efficient use of space and comfortable. Staff are lovely.

Key card to our room stopped working the 2nd day we were there and had to wait for the mechanic to fix it. There are only 2 elevators and one kept breaking down; being on the 18th floor meant that was a hassle. Other than that, it was clean. Its right accross the street from the train station and there is a lot of construction right next to the hotel so it can be a bit loud. Adequate accommodation for the price and is walkable to various historic sites.

Lovely hotel but to noisy from the train station announcements going past 10 pm and starting at 4:15am, floor 5 opposite train station avoid. Thought we would have a better room for staying 4 nights. Couldn’t be bothered to complain as was to late in day when realised and everything unpacked. Everything else spot on

The hotel is is modern, quick check and opposite the railway station, convenient.
The staff appears to be all young people, all extremely helpful, i would certainly stay here again my next visit to Hanoi
Train street 5- 10 minutes walk and the old quarter depending on you're speed.
Only one thing the rail and the hangers wear sticky, which didn't meet the rest of the excellent standard

Avoid till the constructiom is over

The adjacent building is beeing constructed. They work at night in hanoi so dont expect to sleep excepted if you have earplug. You should definitly avoid that hotel till 2026 or when the construction is finished.

Neverless, the staff is amazing. The location is great and the breakfast ok.

We selected this hotel as a place to relax for the day prior to taking the overnight train. It was incredibly convenient as we could see the station across the street from our room. We really liked to have access to both washing machines as we had just returned from a 3-day cruise and needed to do laundry quickly. I would recommend this hotel especially to young adults and those looking for modern design rooms.

Great hotel to stay as an option from old quarter. During the 4 nights stay, i moved to different room, which is their larger room. It mentioned they can accommodate 4 adults eith their main bed sofa bed. But it seems to me the sofa bed only sized at 140cm. You fat two petite adult but definitely 2 grown men. If you are family of 3 this room is perfect. Nevertheless, i still give the hotel great points for being a very reasonably priced and great amenities in overall! :)

It is still near the old quarter, just more quiet. Iike the fact that the hotel has a proper building rather than shop-houses turned to hotel like in most old quarter area. This hotel has a proper building and amenities, i feel safer. Just that the hotel is having renovation in front of their main gate. The renovation is initiated from the government to enhance the road, so it is not the hotel’s fault. But they have second entrance during. It was during december 2023 Hopefully when you arrive it is already finished their renovation.

I feel the hotel room is new and very modernly furbished.
The housekeeping and maintenance staff are very prompt and have welcoming demeanour.
The front desk staff is also very friendly and prompt in service.

The location is just beside the Hanoi Station (train), or Ga Hanoi. Getting around using online transport booking apps or calling for taxis is relatively easy. It is around 20 to 25mins walk to the lively Hoan Kiem streets around the famous lake.
Around the hotel, there are many stalls selling banh and pho and cafes.

Overall, the hotel is very recommended and I will definitely choose it if I am returning to Hanoi again.

Modern, almost spaceship like hotel in Hanoi. There's a self luggage storage located on the 2nd floor near the laundry room. The hotel is located right across the street from the train station and about a 20min walk to the Old Quarters / Temple of Literature.

A pleasant experience of opening the door was when the room is lit up and the curtains self draw themselves. The layout is really nice, bright and clean. Very cleverly designed and definite a much bigger room than the typical the hotel in Old Quarter. Amenities are pretty good and the space looked much better in person. The bed was very comfy as well. Though it is further away from the main spots, I booked it due to the easy location of the train and is definitely a more modern hotel in the city.

The room was ok. Shower curtain had some mildew, slippers provided were dirty and used. It’s a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for I guess. And for the price, it’s fine. The bed was comfortable.

This is a great hotel, I really liked the train theme throughout to hotel. What I appreciate less however is some not all of the staff where not very friendly or helpful. One day I arrived from a long hot walk and I was wanting a beverage at the bar. I sat at the bar but no one from the staff came to offer me a drink, I found the very rude to say the least. I felt almost discriminatory because I am caucasien and I do not speak there language. It was as though they didn’t want to deal with me. Best way to learn English is the practice it! I only which this gets back to the staff for productive purposes I don’t want to cause trouble. I am thinking especially to the girl that was setting up her laptop and sat beside me to do some work we clearly I wanted a drink!!

For people taking the train, it is super convenient as it is just opposite. For me, the cleanliness, quietness and surrounding of the hotel is important and Sojo had met my expecation which will makes me choose this hotel again if I visit Hanoi again!

Le personnel est sympathique, courtoise.
La chambre est petite, mais très moderne, propre, nettoyée tous les jours.
Dans la chambre, nous avons les accessoires de toilette.
Le petit-déjeuner est inclus, varié et assez bon.
J'entends peu de bruit.
La vue donne vers la ville, mais nous préférons de ne pas ouvrir les 2 stores le soir puisque les immeubles qui se trouvent en face de nous, peuvent nous voir en détail.
La situation de l'hôtel est pratique (à voir par vous même sur carte).
A l'entrée, il y a quelques marches, un peu difficile pour porter les bagages.
