The staff especially the reception are top notch, spoke english, helped breaak big bank otes into smaller ones, arranged transport and always acknowledged/greeted you. Room was a bit small compared to other 4 star hotels but still nice and clean. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide variety of choices and fast replenishment of food. Hotel location is close to a lot of attractions, shopping and food options

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Soleil Boutique Hotel twice, from December 27–30 and again January 1–2, and both stays were truly exceptional.

From the very beginning, the hotel went above and beyond to make us feel special. Since we were on our honeymoon, they beautifully decorated our room, which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that we will never forget.

The team was incredibly supportive throughout our entire stay, always ready to help with anything we needed. They were especially helpful in assisting us with hiring a tour outside the city, making the process easy, smooth, and stress-free.

Even though the room was on the smaller side, it was perfectly designed, had everything we needed, and was extremely clean. Comfort and attention to detail were evident everywhere.

The breakfast was amazing, delicious, varied, and a wonderful surprise each morning. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and we loved that the food included options from another country, adding a unique and memorable touch to the experience.

And the reception team… OMG, AMAZING! Warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. They truly made us feel at home and were a big reason why our stay was so special.

We will definitely recommend Soleil Boutique Hotel to anyone planning to visit Vietnam. This hotel played a big role in making our honeymoon unforgettable, and we would happily stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. The hotel is centrally located in old town. The staff, Quan, Cloud, Cara and Leo, provided exceptional lobby service. My first day at the hotel, I wasn’t sure if my pre booked tours would pick us up at the hotel. Quan called each tour company and ensured a pick up for us. The breakfast that was included with the room was fantastic. Everyday there was a variety of Asian and Western food choices. Absolutely delicious. Housekeeper came in everyday and cleaned the room. The room was spotless. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Stay at Soleil Boutique – Cozy, Comforta

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Soleil Boutique! Thankfully, the weather was nice when we arrived, so I was able to enjoy their pool. The staff were incredibly attentive, professional, and kind—it truly feels like the service of a large luxury hotel.

As a boutique hotel, the rooms are smaller than they appear in photos, so I recommend checking the square footage before booking. Our room with the king/queen bed was cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom felt luxurious.

The food here was amazing—I would even say it was better than Grand Mercure’s buffet, though Grand Mercure has more variety. Every member of the staff, from the housekeeper and front desk to the chef and servers, was professional and kind.

I highly recommend Soleil Boutique for anyone visiting the area. The location is very convenient, with everything within walking distance, and the pricing is reasonable for the quality and service. I don’t have photos of this hotel - only videos! I like how their buffet food options change everyday!!

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The room was really lovely with a huge bathroom and a nice balcony. The location was great - on the outskirts of the old quarter but only a short walk to the centre. The roof top pool is a great escape from the busyness of the city. Staff were all lovely and welcoming and could not do enough to help us during our stay. We did have a minor issue on check in, as our room was not ready for two hours after check in time which was disappointing. The rug in the room was also not clean. Besides these two minor issues we had a great stay.

This hotel is located in a great location within walking distance to everything and Train street. Our room was amazing, we booked the suite with terrace and panoramic view the room was large and spacious very clean. The staff were amazing so welcoming, helpful and friendly we will definitely stay here again.

Booked for 10 nights and loved it . All staff were amazing and so accommodating. We actually downgraded before arriving and when we got there we wanted the upgraded room for more space. Was able to book the larger room for part of the time at a much reduced price than found here. Will be reviewing all our bookings through third party from now on .

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Vietnam. It's well designed for travelers: the room has very modern features for frequent travelers, super clean everywhere, the breakfast is outstanding, the pool has a great view of a city, it's very safe and excellent for solo travelers - specially women. Most of all, the staff helped me find all the things a traveler needs when they arrive including a bag with a international ATM, directions to all sorts of places, and help getting ground transportation to my next hotel. You will enjoy Hanoi from this hotel.

Staff are very kind and helpful, always greeting you as you walk past, opening the door, giving restaurant recommendations, arranged very cheap airport transfer 250,000 (cheaper than Grab). Thank you for the red wine gift and hand written welcome card on arrival, very sweet :)
The rooftop pool is nice if you're alone. Its awkward if other guests are relaxing on the seats because the area is so small.
Breakfast area and options were small but delicious and adequate.
The suite with the round bed is a fabulous room with a big balcony, great view of the city, bath tab and comfortable bed.
Good location - short walk to Train Street and the lake.
There is noise at night past midnight when we stayed on the weekend (people and traffic) however its not too bad

I enjoyed my stay at the Soleil. For context, I love to walk and randomly explore when on vacation. The location of the Soleil in the Old Quarter is great. It's within a 20 minute walk to Dong Xuan, the night market and the lake. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially at breakfast. The variety of food, both Vietnamese and Western, at breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and they had a couple of different pillow types to choose from.
A couple of things to note about the amenities. Both the pool and the gym are more check box amenities than usable ones. The pool is very small. When I went to check it out, there were eight people there and it was too crowded to find a place to sit. As the person at reception embarassingly noted when I asked, the gym is \"very basic\", ie a couple of pieces of cardio equipment and some dumbbells crammed into a small room. These things didn't matter to me as I was there to explore.
One factor that did cause me to rate this hotel a 4 instead of a 5 is that my window faced a white wall that was two feet away...hahaha. I'm sure that's not uncommon with how tightly spaced the buildings are in the Old Quarter. It's just not a huge positive...lol

Loved this place. My partner and I stayed here several nights while visiting Hanoi. It’s in a great location right in the heart of Hanoi. Very walkable. The room was spotless and modern, there were bathroom amenities, housekeeping was fantastic, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi was reliable. I read a lot of reviews before booking a place in Hanoi and was glad that this place didn’t disappoint. Definitely recommend.

The staff are all really helpful - thanks to Chloe, Louis, Leo, and Jenny for making our stay great.

Reserved 2 Deluxe but got 1 Deluxe and 1 Classic. Hotel admitted the room is a Classic but it was on the 5th floor then it is considered an upgraded Deluxe, which makes no sense when all the amenties are the same as a Classic (double bed, corner bath, smaller sq ft). The Deluxe had king bed, full walk-in bath, larger footage).

Loved our stay. The room was luxe (balcony suite) - beautiful. Staff service was amazing - especially Mr Tom who quietly looked after our vegetarian needs each morning at breakfast. Great location and the spa was a standout - excellent service and facilities. Highly recommended!
You can hear some street noise from the room but this is to be expected in a highly vibrant and busy city like Hanoi. Didn’t affect us.

Lovely modern hotel staff are very helpful and charming,breakfast was good our only criticism was the size of the room you could not swing a cat in them we had a king size deluxe with a window on our first visit which is quite small on our return we could only get a classic room its like a prison no window and no space to move.but overall the hotel is very central and good for getting around Hanoi.

So much to do nearby. The staff and hotel are lovely. You can use this as a beautiful jumping off point in Hanoi. What a beautiful city. Can't wait to get back.

Book a food tour, you won't be disappointed. Also, visit Halong Bay and use Soleil as your departure and return point.

If I need accommodation in Hanoi again, I won't hesitate to book. Hoping to spend more time actually living there, so an apartment will work better for me.

One Note, the rooftop pool is a little chilly. Lol. However, the cocktails are nice. 😊
