I love the hotel's location (walking distance to the cathedral, to Hoan Kiem Lake, to the original Cha Ca la Vong, and to the night market); the staff are the best (Melody and the rest are awesome and super helpful); and the breakfast was adequate. I will choose this hotel again on my next visit to Hanoi.

EXCELLENT location! 2 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff went above and beyond. ALWAYS so pleasant and helpful with any requests or problems. Even sending out someone to buy me some fruits at the market early morning because my bus pickup was so early before breakfast room was open. I stayed in Suite Room (facing busy and noisy street, but noise didn't bother me at all at night). Nice BIG room! Would 100% stay there again, such great location and incredible staff.

The customer service is excellent. From the reception on arrival, the service at breakfast and even room service, the experience is very good. The rooms are very clean and spacious with complimentary snacks. The hotel's location is in the middle of the shopping district hence very convenient. The restaurant staff was very attentive and although it is a buffet they make pho and eggs. This hotel turned out to be a wonderful choice for my trip. The room was spacious, tidy, and very comfortable. Everything looked well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. The staff were warm, polite, and very helpful during my stay. This is a charming hotel with a great vibe and is in the heart of the bustling Old Quarters. It was great value for money, the room had everything we needed. The staff at the front desk were amazingly helpful and attentive. The breakfast was really nice and they made pancakes on request. They were happy for us to leave our belongings there once we returned from our cruise, and in between our flights, even though we weren’t staying an extra night. I believe the smaller hotels make for a more personal experience. It was a great stay!

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of old quarter and close to all the main attractions. The staff were incredible. They always greeted us with a smile, asked about our day and assisted us with booking transport and day tours. On our return to the hotel after a night away at Halong Bay, they generously provided us with a room upgrade. The interior design is beautiful, air conditioning works well and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The bed was also super comfortable. This hotel really is value for money, and I hope to stay again some day.

A wonderful hotel in a great location with excellent breakfasts. I stayed for three nights and the highlight was the friendliness of all the staff. I would like to single out Jimmy and Mia for being the nicest and friendliest hotel reception staff I have ever met. They work hard and long hours but always were smiling and greeted me every time I saw them. They were a great help with general logistics and sorting out trips. I would happily recommend the hotel and hope to stay there again one day.

The hotel is located perfectly. It is more or less in the middle of Hanoi's old quarter. You can easily walk through the city. The staff also organized our airport transfer, which we could pay in the hotel.
The price performance ration is great. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast is ok. You can order eggs or pancakes and there are always fresh fruits. The only thing I personally missed were cereals. But no reason to not come back in future. :-)

Relatively cheap, but the property has some seriously deceptive photos and ratings. For one, it’s not a 4 star, it’s barely a 3 star hotel. The photos are clearly very upscaled and edited because the rooms are much smaller, older and dirtier than I expected. There was no view of the city, just someone’s fenced garden. The beds were old and had holes from the mattress springs sticking out.

Great location in old quarter, close to many tourist spots. The staff was really kind and helpful. They gave us great suggestions for things to do, and where to eat. Breakfast was nice and had a variety of options for you to enjoy with a view from the 6th floor. Our room was quiet and clean, and came with usual nice things like iron, safe, AC, etc, and a small window/door to take you out to a tiny balcony. All in all a good value for money and a nice home away from home.

The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely lovely. There was a wide variety of options every morning – from fresh fruit, pastries and good coffee to hot dishes and some delicious local specialties. Everything was well presented, regularly refilled and tasted fresh. It really felt like the perfect way to start the day.

What truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. They remembered our preferences, checked on us often without being intrusive, and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their professionalism and genuine friendliness made us feel at home, and we are really grateful for the excellent service.

Great location and value for what you pay - there are nicer hotels in the old quarter but if you’re looking for a good balance between cost and quality, this place is great! You’re also very close to the lake without too much of that lake side traffic. The 24/7 staff are also very helpful and friendly. They helped us book a last minute tour to Ninh Binh and were great with recommendations of what to. They connected us with the best tour guide as well, and gave us a lovely discount. Laundry service was fine and pricing was fair, but if you’re worried about shrinkage make sure to make appropriate notes.

The staff here are wonderful. Helpful and welcoming. They sorted out our suitcase due to a broken lock.
The rooms are small but really pleasantly decorated. The breakfast has a good variety of choice.

I made a reservation of this Royal Palce hotel 1 day because I would like to take a rest before going to Sapa.
My arrival time in Hanoi was 12:00PM and sleeping bus time from Hanoi to Sapa was 10 PM.
So I had 10 hours. In case I or my mom and younger brother were tired, I prepared this room reservation with 2 pax room.
The hotel kindly provided towels for three people and welcome drink.

After Sapa trip, I stayed at this Royal Palace hotel. It was very nice experience. One of the things I was thank you to hotel is that I bought macadamia in the online and hotel helped me by keeping it well. Breakfast is always perfect everyday. Staff always made a smile so my family was happy every time. I will probably go to Hanoi again next time for a Cao Bang or Phong Nha Ke Bang tour and I will choose this accommodation again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff is just amazing and so personable. The rooms are generous in size with a very comfortable bed. We stayed one night at this hotel while touring Hanoi and then used this hotel as our base as we traveled to back and forth to Sapa and Halong Bay. Because would miss breakfast since took a night train, the hotel staff provided us with boxed meal for the train. Such a nice welcome back both times and rooms were ready with our stored luggage already in room. The manager and other staff greeted us by name the entire time which is quite impressive. Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of offerings and additionally could special order from menu. Everything was delicious. Personal service with coffee as well was a very nice touch as used to self serve. Highly recommend the Royal Palace Hotel.
Conveniently located in old quarter for walking to shopping and dining.

The hotel was right in the heart of old town quarters so lots and lots of local food, coffee and shops right outside the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and polite every time you saw them. Beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel had am interesting decor to it which made it feel unique and cosy.

The customer service here at this hotel was exceptional! The staff is the most friendly and helpful you can find anywhere in the world. From breakfast with Anna looking after us, to Angela and Jimmi at reception, who were so helpful, it was such a pleasant stay. Will be back!
