We were given the wrong room. We booked a family quadruple and were given a triple room which was half the size of the family quadruple. When we questioned the room we were told that they were fully booked. It wasn't until we went back a second time and showed booking email that were given the correct room.
Location was excellent, but we would not stay again.

The only things that have prevented me from giving this hotel 1 star is the location and the front-line staff that assisted me in securing a room change to their sister hotel because the management staff of the hotel were unresponsive when contacted by the support team at Expedia. The original room given requires many MANY updates before continuing to rent out the space. The room is extremely pungent with moth ball scents that seep into your clothing and belongings even if you stay there for only one night! The bathroom has bugs similar to appearance of \"silver fish bugs\" that crawl in and out of the drains. AC fan panels are broken so it can't adjust direction of air being blown, but hey at least that works. There are holes in the bathroom door covered by giftwrap similar to the colour of the door. The bathroom itself needs the flooring redone because the water pools into a corner and will stay there overnight unless you'd like to mop it up yourself. Their sister hotel has rooms in better condition, but this is my warning that if you care for a comfortable stay or would like your family to enjoy a restful night's sleep during your trip then stay away from this location. Another warning is not to pick up their free candy out front at the sister hotel, my mom did and the best way to describe what I saw looked like an explosion of tiny lice looking bugs crawling out of the candy and up her arms they were all over and move very fast. You've been warned!

The location and price rates of the hotel are great aspects especially if u are going on a budget. Plus its very conveniently located near the shopping markets as well as the city area which makes it easier for touring around. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However there are things they can improve on. For instance, the room servicing is not always complete like trash doesnt get removed every day from the room, towels are not replaced everyday unless we inform the staff. And i think the room bathtub is not functioning as well and the shower water speed was slow. So maybe improving on these will enhance the hotel guests' stay experience. But nevertheless , it is worth staying here for the location , cost and the spaciousness/cleanliness of the room that the hotel offers especially if u are going as a group. Will definitely come again. Thank you so much for having us and hope to see u soon!

My room was pretty nice for a 3 star hotel. The location was okay, busy street loud until 1 am. The airccon worked but room never got cold. Fridge worked good. There some bugs around the windows but after I killed them and removed tablecloth covered in them from the room didn’t see anymore. Overall a good deal for the price range. Duvet was dirty, hotel changed it when I told them. Shower had a curtain and worked well.

Overall I had a good stay with friendly staff and good cleanliness of my room. The only thing I would comment would be the breakfast. Although I did not expect much and was relatively happy with a tiny range offered but it would have been good if the main dishes like the rice and noodles were to be kept warm. Thank you.

This was our third stay in the Platinum Hotel. Since our last visit ownership has changed. While rooms had been repainted and were adequate we noticed a definite lack of choice for breakfast. As vegetarians it was not so easy to find the variety we were used to. Staff were friendly but not warm as before. Location is superb and overall our stay was good.

The room is not exactly what in featured expedia. They provide us a room that is dirty and the walls has so many cracks in the room. Their breakfast area is literally in front of the reception, like you must be kidding me. In order for me to change to another room which is the exact room i book for initially, they request me to top up 10USD per night. I was so disgusted on the integrity of the staffs that i ditched the hotel as whole and book another one. As a whole, its a really bad bad experience.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The room looked nothing like the pictures and was terrible. The filth was unbelievable and is 1.5 star at best. There were electric wires hanging out of the wall. No tea or coffee in the room. The hallways were also cluttered and filthy and I felt the property was unsafe and certainly would not want to be there if a fire broke out. Very disappointed in the condition of the property

The pictures are not of this hotel the water pressure is so low u must wait until u flush it for second time The breakfast is in a separate building about 6 blocks away The staff doesn’t speak enough English to get the work done one employee thought it was suitable to argue with a tenant the shower will suddenly turn hot then cold impossible to adjust Although they were not on this floor there were tenants smoking outside my door We could not get problems solved until we located the manager The locks have problems so u may not be able to use them for your key The hotel overall needs work to the point that I wonder if should be even op

There is ONLY ONE family room as pictured

The hotel is very run down and not maintained at all. The only thing good is the bed's sheets, at least it is clean.
They used sticky taps to hold things together. Toilet block frequently.
There is ONLY ONE family room as pictured on the website. Take your chances with your booking.
We booked 3 family rooms and end up with 2 rooms a lot smaller than what in the picture.

The hotel use the picture of the more expensive room to promote the lower price room. the picture of the room is not match with the ads on the Expedia website. I booked for non-smoking room but when i entered the room it smelled the smoke. The door lock can't be used just a normal hand lock that anyone can break into as well as the toilet door! the staff is not much helpful when i asked for changing the room, it was full, staff said. when i complaint with Expedia, the new room was become available for me! the mattress was so dirty for the person has allergy to the dust! the environment surrounding the hotel was super noisy.

I like the location but the property is in poor condition ( croach, ants, broken electric outlets, shower head doesn't work, toilet cannot flush well even don't put the toilet paper in as per the hotel 's requests, old towels, the housekeepers are rude (kick the guests out when they need to clean the room per their schedule), the breakfast buffets items are bought from the street vendors ( not clean).

It is very close to Ben thanh market, city hall and near by museums. Except good location hotel facilities are not good as expected what I seen in booking web page. I booked for 3 persons family room with Windows as shown in web site, but really what we had stayed is very narrow room. Everyday have to ask 1 set of bath towels for 1 person. Towels are pretty old and something smell. Bathroom is too tight, glass door cannot close, basin tap and toilet bowl cover are shaking.I stayed 5 nights but first 2 day only supply tiny tooth pastes and brushes for 3 persons, the rest days didn't supply tooth pastes and brushes. Every day only 4 small water bottles we're supplied for 3 persons, only 3 free tea packets supply during our 5 night stays, door lock battery was weak and cannot open easily, they changed new batteries only after 3 nights. Overall, It is terrible experience stayed at Platinum.

we stayed there for 3 nights but they dont replenish the coffee/toothpaste etc so we had to go and buy our own, you always get these replaced in any hotel stay, the aircon was erratic and the WIFI was really poor, the breakfast was ok but was same every day - I travel to Saigon every month and generally stay in a different hotel each time, this was the poorest one yet unfortunately

A decent place to stay for the small price i paid. The room photos on the website are much nicer than in reality. The air conditioner did not generate cold air sometimes but it was ok since October was not too hot. Nice and very courteous staff. Great location within walking distance to the famous Ben Thanh Market and the night market. I m glad i chose to stay at this hotel. My room number was # 702 which was on the top floor so i had lots of privacy.

Family of 4 were put in the \"family room\" which had a broken door lock, hole in the door, dirty smelly room and no space for luggage. Requested a room change and was placed in the room next to reception which was cleaner however very noisy, had a mechanical noise (sounded like i was sleeping in a lift shaft) behind the bed head and to top it off there were rats! YES RATS! couldnt get out quick enough. Paid for 4 nights stayed 1 and wasn't offered a refund. Stayed at ICON 56 Apartments for the same price and its Amazing!!!! Do yourself a favour and don't stay there!

This is really unfortunate i have to give such a poor review as i feel this place has potential.
This hotel has a great look about it, ON ITS WEBSITE! Id say the pictures are from 20 years ago and havent been updated since.
Upon arriving on a main street of saigon i had major concern about how this hotel sat wedged between a couple of bars. So, went through check in and bellboy follwed up to the room to which when he jimmied the door open, i felt i was walking into my pantry at home, SMALL, DARK, AIRCON PANEL BUSTED, i was not happy.
After making my opinions heard i ended up paying more to get the largest room on the property which to the hotels credit was actually spacious but thats where it stops again... the aircon barely coughed enough air to circulate the room let alone keep it cool, the bed was hard and the basics like the t.v had exposed wires behind it creating static. I've travelled all over the world and believe me i have stayed in some very average places, when ive expected it, this hotel hides its true colours and after speaking to a few other patrons at this hotel they were also horrified.

Overall it was a nice experience. The complementary breakfast was good and they served until 10am. The stuff are nice and take care of you. The AC worked fine. The only problem I had was that it is too small for two people and two luggage. If they had a bigger closet it would be better. Also, the door in the bathroom slipped when taking a shower and wetted the floor.

This hotel needs a major upgrade. The duvet sheets were a filthy color brown that was concealed with bed sheets that had stains scattered throughout. The bathroom had random holes drilled into the wall that were unused. In addition, there was a sign that stated along the lines of prohibiting any flushing of toilet paper. In the nighttime, there was a lot of noise from the surrounding environment that consisted of drilling, hammers, night club music, and car horns. The stairway was very small and had a heavy lingering scent of smoke. The breakfast food was subpar. I found a fly in my porridge.

I arrived in the morning 10.30am at hotel and requested for morning check in but was told have to pay extra VND 200,000, if not then have to wait till 12 noon. I am not why the hotel want to treat the customers supported them in this way. Even they have the room ready but also can't be flexible to allow cusotmer checking in earlier.

Although the hotel is listed as a 3 star hotel, it is more like a 2 star. It's a bit worn and tattered. It could definitely use a nice rehab, a good cleaning and some paint. The staff is really nice but the place is quite dirty. The shower had mold everywhere. There was also dust all over the wall in the bathroom. The coffee cups and spoons were dirty as if they had not been cleaned from the last occupant of the room.

Breakfast was free every morning but it was always the same thing and it did not look or taste good at all. Also there were ants crawling on some of the food.

The best thing about this place was the prime location and friendly staff. You can pretty much walk anywhere. Although it can be difficult at times because many of the sidewalks are packed with motorbikes.

The room was very small, door stopper was broken, towel rack was broken, screw off the wall; rust was present on most metal pipes in the bath room, shower head was small and plastic. I had to buy an adapter from the hotel lobby before I could charge my phone as room only had two pin socket. Telephone was not properly attached to the wall and not cleaned and there was a wall mirror the length of the bed! strangle. The air condition did not work as there was no remote control. But the lobby staff were amazing. The best. I would recommend the hotel just because of the staff.

If you want to be robbed and caught up in a scam, then stay here. This hotel tried to cover up the theft of my apple watch by a taxi driver that happened right in the lobby. The reception people let it happen because they were in on the scam. The manager and owner refused to look at the security camera footage or show it to us. Then, they refused multiple times to call the police because they are trying to cover up their in-house robberies and scams. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is risky and dangerous. I would not want this to happen to anyone else again.

A simple hotel, yet the location is ideal. A mere 3 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market, with lots of places to eat very close by. A free breakfast is included with your stay and it’s actually a pretty decent breakfast. I stayed in a twin room, wasn’t extremely big, but it did the job. For the price, definitely no complaints. I will definitely stay there again when I return to Ho Chi Minh.

Cheap hotel close to everything

My daughter was sick in bed during our stay but it was comfortable enough. Air worked, water pressure and temp was good, breakfast was pretty bad, everything usually cold. Staff was helpful but not very friendly. The night market and many other things are close by and it was quiet in the room. Bed was comfortable and soft and the room was clean.

Old and tired

Hotel clean, but in need of of renovation. Staff helpful . Breakfast was not worth getting up for. No choice, hot food what there was was cold and only half the toasted worked. Great central location

Great staff, room needs maintenance

Staff was friendly and helpful, but room was badly need of maintenance. No hooks in bathroom, no furniture to store anything, decorative pillows did smell, mattress was not great. Breakfast was good, Air conditioning worked well, WiFi was good.
