This truly feels like a 5 star hotel. This place is beautiful down to the hardware in the shower. Every small thing was beautiful and chosen with thought. The rooms are spacious and clean with everything you could need including welcome fruit, waters, mini fridge, slippers and robe. Everyone here was amazing - from the front desk and concierge, to the people serving us breakfast or at the restaurant attached to the hotel, to those cleaning the rooms.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in between trips to Halong Bay, Sapa, Nihn Bihn etc... and I am always happy with the staff, breakfast, room quality and cleanliness.

The staff are great! So many names to remember, as they all deserve recognition. Elliot at the front desk, Simon at the front door, and an always friendly smile and calming presence Kitty in the restaurant area. I wish I knew more and could remember more deserving names of staff to be recognized. Management should be proud of theor staff.

This is our fourth time at this Hong Ngoc Boutique Hotel & Spa, and we have been so pleased of the services, from check-in, room cleanliness, breakfast to check-out. A great little hotel in central Hanoi

A great hotel in central Hanoi. Only about 5 - 10 mins from Hoan Kiem Lake.

All the staff we met were happy, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, the Pho was really tasty and a good way to start the day.

The room was a good size for the pair of us, but we did end up with a twin when we thought we’d booked a double. But the beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Facilities were all there for what we needed.

We had a couple of busy days in Hanoi and Hong Ngoc was ideally located for us, there is even a great laundry just up the road to get your washing done for 50k Dong / kg.

I’d definitely recommend this location.

Vinny & other staff were also friendly & helpful with information on sightseeing around the area. The food were authentic & tasty. Our rooms were spacious & clean with the old charm. En arrivant, on nous a donné un chambre coté rue et la télé ne fonctionnait pas (connection pauvre), la seconde chambre, il a fallu appeler pour que la climatisation fonctionne et le bouchon du lavabo était coincé. chambre coté cour beaucoup plus tranquille. Ensuite je ne sais pas si c'est à cause de ça mais jeune fille à l'acceuil (soir) pas très sympatique, aucune façon. Bon déjeuner. Nous sommes resté 5 jours. Autre bémol, la femme de chambre arrive vers 6am et le son de son walky-talky est au maximum et ça resonne dans la cage d'escalier.

The rooms were nicely maintained as what was pictured and were fairly spacious and had numerous power sockets to charge up your electronics..

Bathroom was nicely renovated and fitted with rainfall shower. The shower was nicely partitioned so the rest of the bathroom doesn't get wet but the water pressure is pretty weak.

The mini fridge is pretty weak and turns off when the room card is removed. We had to get an additional card (one was given at check in) from the reception so our beer remains chilled after our daytrips.

The hotel is only 2-3 minute walk to the lake with lots of cafes and restaurants steps away. The room is relatively huge surprisingly nice- nice decor, massive bathtub & very beautiful for the price paid. Breakfast is excellent & great service. We got a bit lazy the night we arrived and ordered room service. Food was a bit pricey but it was an excellent meal, I would actually say it was the best meal I had in Vietnam this trip.

We liked everything about this hotel. It had a lovely feel to it mixing traditional Vietnamese styling with more contemporary ideas. Its location is perfect for walking around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, being close to Train Street and Hoan Kiem lake. To go further afield choose cyclotrot transport which are readily available or use the Hop on hop off Tour buses which are located nearby.
Our welcome was most friendly with the receptionists offering to help with arrangements. ALL staff were charming, helpful and attentive, including the Manager who took time to acknowledge our visit. We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Hanoi. 5 stars from us.

Our two problem was how cold our room was, we was in room 701
On the 7th floor, I completely understand the weather quite cold at the moment but we was unable to change the air con. Everything in our room was damp including our clothes and we could not get warm.
Unfortunate for us we didn’t tell the hotel regarding this matter.
The second is the bathroom, the shower seal was broken and the water went all over the floor unfortunately we had to use our towels to mop up the water so we had to leave the towels on the floor and they had to be changed everyday. Not good for the environment.

It’s the first time I took care on the day before leaving to prepare for bank notes for each staff I could recognise because I so much wanted to acknowledge their good performance and encourage them to do even better. It’s buffet for breakfast with a list of items which could be made to order. I particularly loved the pancake with honey and banana. The hotel is clean with a comfortable design. A pleasant stay.

This property was beautifully decorated and the staff were really helpful and friendly. They provided us breakfast at 5.30am before we caught an early flight which was very nice of them. The hotel restaurant was very good and one of the better restaurants in Hanoi. Its situated right in the heart of the Old Quarter so you're able to access some of the sights in Hanoi easily.

The only minor faults would be the rooms were smaller in size than expected (and sometimes height) and that housekeeping comes to clean the room quite early which was frustrating at times.

TL;DR: regular room better than suite; good location, breakfast, and customer service

There were several issues we had during our stay, but I'll give this an excellent rating because of the service that we received once we complained.

Our first room's hot water heater was broken and had to be fixed, and had a tiny window that couldn't see anything. This room was a 'Suite' type, and had a separate 'living room' area which I found extremely useless since it was far away from the bed, and the couches & chairs were uncomfortable.

When we complained we eventually got moved upstairs to a room with windows facing the front of hotel. This one was smaller than a suite but in my opinion much better since the space felt more usable. Unfortunately, there were renovations going on upstairs and we were woken up in the mornings by the sounds of construction; calling front desk did not help.

Amenities are somewhat lacking here. Breakfast was good, but there's no pool and the spa is offsite (there's a better one across the street anyways). Good location in the Old Quarter, easy to walk to most places. I'd stay here again if they smoothed out a few issues and put me in an upper floor room facing the front.

Clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. Breakfast (included in the rate I selected) was better than expected. Good location in Hoan Kiem; walking distance to many sites. Seemed to be a lack of communication between front desk staff about arrangements and requests for car/taxi services. The manger Thang was very helpful and kind, however. We would have liked alcohol beverage options in mini bar, but there are convenience stores nearby. Note that the spa is not in the property. It is in a sister hotel and free transportion is provided if you make reservations there for spa services.

I had a pleasant stay in Hanoi with Hong Ngoc Dynastie Hotel. I booked for a \"Deluxe Double or Twin Room, City View\" and on my arrival I was informed that it has been upgraded to a suite!

However, superstitious Chinese travelers may not like to stay on the 4th floor or be assigned to a room with \"4\" number on it and this is a very well-known belief for the Chinese. So maybe the management could take note on that.

I liked the most was the bed being very clean and white and decorated with antique motives and designs. One small inconvenience is the room may have a water heater that may not work after a period of time while trying to fill the bath tub with hot water. The food is fairly decent with a mixture of Vietnamese and Western breakfast. I have spent hours scouting for a good value for money with good location yet with really comfortable looking stay. So, this is the hotel you want to stay if you like it classy.

Highly Recommend!

I went to Hanoi for a solo laid back getaway and stayed 2 nights here. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the super friendly receptionist and got upgraded to Grand Suite upon arrival. Room is big, beautifully furnished, clean and the bed is super comfy. The two receptionist ladies are super friendly, attentive and helpful. Right after I checked in and got into the room, I got a call from the receptionist asking about my satisfaction with the room. The hotel is centrally located in a quiet street in Old Quarter, which you can easily walk to everywhere yet avoid the crowds and noise. The hotel bed is one of the thing I miss after I left Hanoi! I'd definitely come back again the next time I go to Hanoi.

Friendliest Hotel Staff and Great Location

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel staff are one of the friendliest I have met, from checking in to breakfast, from giving directions to points of attraction to checking out.

Room is very pleasant and clean. The stay was generally very comfortable.

If I have to be picky, the only issue I had was the mediocre sound insulation so you can hear what's going on outside your room.

We had a very good time there. Location, people, atmosphere , rooms, service...perfect . Thos is a very convenient place, right in the heart of the city. The team is so nice , it was a real pleasure . We recommand the place .

Family accomodation in Hanoi

Very good hotel and ideally located for tourism, shopping, good restaurant, coffee shops ...Nice hotel with very nice staff. Room was quiet, clean and well equiped . We experimented a suite with one child...perfect.
They had a good breakfast and very good fruit juice😊

A very good place to stay for a family in Hanoi

What a lovely experience we had with the family. Ideally located, clean, quiet with a very nice and professional staff. The room are big and very quiet . From the lobby, you can enjoy the scenes of Hanoi's daily life. We highly recommend the place .
