The staff were exceptionally professional and polite. The hotel itself is cute and a great location. I made the mistake of booking an interior room with no outside window. My room was spacious, clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. But there was a musty mildew smell that would not go away. I don’t know if it was because it’s an interior room and has very little ventilation or if it was coming from the AC vents, but it was there constantly. I would recommend the hotel - just avoid an interior room with no window.

This is a fabulous hotel and we definitely will come here next time we go to Hanoi. The staff makes all the difference, all of them so friendly and helpful. Luna helped me checked in and provided us with a lot of valuable information as this was our first trip to Vietnam. Vivian and Alex helped us book 2 excellent tours. Grace helped me when it appeared we were being scammed and she saved our trip. Then she and Dante booked 2 replacement tours that turned out to be reliable and wonderful. We ended up booking 4 tours through the hotel and they were great. Also, Quinnie Lai reached out to me as soon as we booked the hotel and offered rides between hotel and airport that saved a lot of hassle. And she responded to all my emails quite quickly. Again, awesome staff!!! Clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Location is so close to all the major attractions. Great hotel. And thank you to all the wonderful staff!!!

Yes, the room was spotless. The hotel is closed to everything like shops, street foods/resto/ historical sites. Pillows were all soft and fluffy... Staff were wonderful esp. Max who works in the dining area during breakfast hours. Breakfast was perfect for us, so many choices like hot pho, eggs, fruits..etc. Max was so attentive to the customers. He's always checking if theres anything else we need.
Max, offered me a tiny spoon when i was about to eat my yogurt. I highly appreciated that. Max is an excellent worker, hardly speaks English but action speaks louder than words.
Reception staff were also helpful/caring/very inf ormative esp. in booking our taxi grab, theyre aware that we got scammed 2x using taxis when we booked it ourselves. They used umbrella on us when it was raining while we were waiting for our rides. Love that.
Stayed in Room 302, their shampoo,conditioner and body wash in the shower room should all be changed, my hubby's skin smells like sewer after using it. We bought our own after that. Bath mat should also be provided for safety, i slipped x1 after having a shower. I was ok though after.

Excellent location, good size and very comfortable rooms. Short walk to Train Street, the Note Coffee and the Hoan Kiem lake, as well as lots of shops and restaurants. What makes this hotel great is its staff. They are friendly, helpful and create a great atmosphere as soon as you arrive. The lobby is beautiful with plants and fish. If back in Hanoi, will stay here again :)

Best Hotel for Family with Kids and Grandparents

We have a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The room is very clean, spacious and has all the necessary things we need for our stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing our family looked forward to it each day, they even provided a packed breakfast for us in some days when we have to leave the hotel early. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time in Hanoi. They are specially caring to our kids too especially when one of them was unwell after our return from Sapa. Its location is perfect, near Hoan Kiem lake, St. Joseph cathedral, there is a supermarket and a few blocks from the night market and all the amazing souvenir shops and restaurants.

From the minute you walk into the lobby, it's so transquil and relaxing with a beautiful koi pond. The Staff are all so friendly and speak English very well. The buffet breakfast was great including made to order American dishes. Every time we had questions about the area, they easily provided directions. Lastly, they arranged rides to and from the airport which was so convenient. It was walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake as well as the Cathedral. We will definitely return and stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel. The staff were amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging tours and transport. It was nice that they took a genuine interest in us enjoying our time in Hanoi. The location is fantastic, being right in the heart of the old quarter with endless food and drink options on your doorstep. Loved the beautiful reception area which creates a strong first impression and the family room we stated in was huge. Although the balcony is a little too small to be a usable space, we did enjoy the views of the city that it gave us. Breakfast was nice with a good range, considering the size of the hotel, and the dining room was small and quiet making a nice change to the larger hotels. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

We only stayed one night at this property, but it was spacious easy to find and definitely met our needs. The staff was so helpful. They kept our luggage for us a day after we had checked out while we were waiting for our trip to the airport. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I, and her friend visited this property--and Hanoi--for the first time. Here are my observations:

STRENGTHS:

- STAFF: The hotel staff are EXTRAORDINARY. They were always available, helpful, polite, and answered my many questions.
- LOCATION: The location was perfect! We're were within walking distance of all the important sites and restaurants (everything else) was literally steps from the hotel.
- HOTEL SERVICES: The hotel offered massages, facials, tours, and included breakfast (which was amazing), and we enjoyed all of them and they did not disappoint.

WEAKNESSES:

- CLEANLINESS: The hotel was clean, but the the bathrooms and shower had mold and mildew. Also, it appeared that staff didn't clean the floor so we cleaned it ourselves.
- ROOM RESERVATIONS: We had a reserved/purchased a room with a balcony to the front of the hotel, but when we arrived they said they didn't have one for us, but they could check later in during the week. We just decided to stay in a different room, which was cheaper so we could've saved money at the outset.

Overall, this was a great hotel notwithstanding the weaknesses. I would definitely stay here again!

You can’t beat the staff at this hotel, Rosie and Mymy at front desk are fantastic and will help you with anything and speak pretty good English which makes it easier for us.All the boys at front door are great with their big smiles. We booked with them to go to Halong Bay overnight, was great. Great spot in old quarter to go for walks, restaurants, sightseeing, catch on and hop off bus etc. I really enjoyed our stay in in family suite which is big, Brekky good, older style boutique hotel but love it. I’ll miss you guys❤️

I rated service lower only because of housekeeping. We hung the door sign out 3 mornings and never got service. Room wasn’t the cleanest upon check in either- floors were dirty. Everything else was great.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel’s location in the heart of the old town is unbeatable – it’s just a short walk to many major attractions, making it super convenient for exploring.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which made our experience even more enjoyable. One highlight was the coffee from the café at the front of the hotel – hands down some of the best we had during our trip to Vietnam!

We also tried the massage service, which was professional and very relaxing. While it was pricier compared to other places, the quality and overall experience made it worth it.

Accommodation-wise, the family room was large, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. However, the deluxe room felt a bit small in comparison, so keep that in mind when booking.

Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely recommend this place, especially for its location and service. We also organised our airport pick up through the hotel which was very smooth too, with quick responses to ease our mind while we were in transit.

The location is convenient for transportation and shopping. It faces the main street, which is also convenient. Most of the last years staff left in this summer, which was inconvenient, but the old staff have returned.
The layout of the reception has changed, which is a little inconvenient. Strangely, there are carp laid out at the entrance, but since it is not a biotope, I don't think they will last for many years.

Fabulous stay, the hotel was beautiful and atmosphere very relaxing. The staff were very helpful and we were able to book a massage workshop in the spa whilst we were there, the workshop was excellent and included a massage as well. There is a discount for the spa if youre staying at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and varied each day, there was also a cook to order menu. The bed was very comfy. My only complaint was that there were hairs left in the bathroom from the previous occupants.

The property has definitely aged compared to the photos. The hotel could probably use some repairs or renovations but overall it wasn’t bad. The aged facility probably adds some Vietnam rustic feel to the place. Just my expectations were higher because of the photos. The room size was good for a family of 4 and the staff were excellent and so helpful. The hotel answered so many of my questions prior to arrival and helped book transportation and tours for us. The worker even walked us across the street one night to help make reservations at a restaurant and even recommended some local food spots for us. The breakfast at the hotel was also good and had omelettes and French toast made to order. Would definitely return.

Five star hotel at a three star price!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. They pay attention to every detail. We were warmly greeted and even got drinks and snacks upon arrival. It was hot outside but they had already turned out a/c on in our room so it felt great to relax. The room was clean and spacious and perfect for our short stay. Our flight was delayed and they even made us a takeaway breakfast with sandwiches and fruit at 3am! Highly recommended this wonderful gem if you ever find yourself in Hanoi old quarter.

Good central hotel

Good choice hotel as close to lots of shops and restaurants. Room compact but had everything you need. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel spotless.
