I feel so lucky to have found such a great hotel with such an amazing staff. The employee named Grace was incredibly helpful and kind. But all the staff was welcoming and helpful. Hotel location was perfect for site seeing and restaurants. The breakfast was the best I have had in my 2 months of travel in Vietnam. We stayed in a family room which was clean, and well appointed No private bedroom though. Will stay here again when I return to Hanoi.

This was my second time staying at Solaria in Hanoi and I have absolutely no words. Upon my late arrival to Hanoi, the staff were extremely attentive and made sure I was all settled in for my week long stay. Breakfast every morning was a delight with fresh fruits and kind greetings from the staff. I don’t think there was one time where I didn’t see them smiling. Grace and Francis were absolutely incredible. They made me feel so welcomed and gave me recommendations on cafes to visit in the Old Quarter. If you are looking for a place to stay in Hanoi, look no further than Solaria Hotel. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!! 1000/10!!!

This is a small hotel chain, but it exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent—centrally located and just a short walk from Hoàn Kiếm Lake. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating to any requests we had throughout our stay.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and we especially loved that they provided a menu with freshly made items to order. They were also kind enough to allow us to take breakfast back to our room since our kids weren't able to wake up early.
We booked a family suite, and it was very spacious and comfortable for our family of five. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others visiting Hanoi.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff here are so kind and accommodating and the location and breakfast is fantastic! Be sure to try the Bunh Cha at breakfast.

The staff really went above and beyond to try and help me after an ATM ate my debit card. Both Ryan and Susan contacted the bank on my behalf and helped me work up a plan on what to do next and even helped me change my ride to my next destination. When I checked out, they handed me a little bag of fruit and a little bag of fruit and coffee. I was touched that they cared so much and worked so hard to try and help me.

You can’t go wrong staying here.

They added special touches to our room and gave us a honeymoon treat. We also used the spa, it was very relaxing and great value.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Firstly, everyone who works here is very friendly, approachable and eager to help in anyway. When I arrived the gentlemen at the door ran down to secure my suitcase. They also open the door for you everytime you enter or leave the hotel which is extremely nice of them.

The check-in is pleasant. You are given a welcoming drink, a wet towel to clean your hands and a pastry to refresh.

They escort you to your room and guide you through what is there.

The breakfast was great and you can also order for something else on the menu. The day I left, they gave me a box so I can take away some food to eat at the airport.

The location was perfect. It was a 1 min walk from Ho kiem lake and seconds from Old Quarter. If you do take a Halong bay or Ninh Binh tour, your pickup point is 2 mins walk away.

I would definitely stay here again because of the customer service they provide.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. As first time travellers to Vietnam they made it easy to feel comfortable right from the moment we walked in. The doorman even spoke a little Maori, not something we expected to hear so far from home and it really drove home the fact that the staff here go to great lengths to make their guests' stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

Our room was clean, the breakfast was fresh and very tasty.

Everything overall was perfect, we loved our stay here.

From the get go I can’t begin to say enough good things about the Solaria Hotel. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. Kind, gracious, and smiling. Solaria was our favorite hotel during our stay in Vietnam. Initially, we were not happy because the two rooms we booked were not on the same floor, however, the manager understood our concerns and upgraded us to adjacent rooms the next day.

The breakfast options are amazing - particularly for vegetarians and vegans. Other than the vast variety of fruit and breads, the a la carte menu with vegan options such as avocado toast and other vegan dishes (grilled tofu pho) are also included in the breakfast, which is never the case in other hotels.

When we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel, they packed tasty sandwiches, fruits, and muffins for us.

The rooms were clean, spacious and the staff was always ready to help us. We are extremely impressed with this hotel's service. When we checked out, the hotel gave us a farewell gift, which was very thoughtful.

Another huge perk is that the hotel is very close to the city center with the hop-on hop-off bus and other attractions near by.

I will definitely recommend my friends to stay at this hotel if they come to Hanoi.

Our stay at Solaria Hotel Hanoi was absolutely exceptional! While it is a smaller boutique hotel without big-chain amenities, it more than makes up for it with incredible service, character, and quality. It honestly surpasses larger hotels because of it!

From arrival, everything was seamless. The hotel arranged a private airport transfer, and a bellboy came out down the block to greet us and carry our bags. We were welcomed by David, who was amazing. Warm, friendly, and efficient, he made us feel at home right away. During check-in, we were served a refreshing drink and cold towels, and David personally ensured everything was perfect. The honeymoon touches with towel art and rose petals were such a special surprise!

The room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, with high-quality amenities and amazing linens.

Daria, the Director of Client Experience, was phenomenal! She greeted us by name at breakfast and recommended a Ninh Binh tour that became a highlight of our trip.

Breakfast each morning was fantastic, and the rooftop bar was another standout with great food and drinks. Alistor provided excellent service!

They also arranged our departure transfer, prepared breakfast to go, and gifted us a coffee drip set, which was a thoughtful touch.

We highly recommend Solaria. Truly unforgettable!

The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The room and bathroom were clean and the shower water pressure was great. After a long day of outings it felt great to come back to a comfortable bed. The hotel is located very close to the church in the old quarter and everything is walking distance. We also thought the massage at their spa was one of the best ones. And of course the roof top bar made exceptionally affordable cocktails! You can’t beat the price for the comfort in Old Quarter. Thank you Solaria for your hospitality!

A great little hotel in the heart of Hanoi - close to the lake, the French Quarter and some great bars and restaurants. The restaurant in the basement was excellent - so nice, and the rooftop bar was a must every evening - especially at happy hour…..The bar staff were superb - so professional but good fun too.
The rooms were the smallest of the 8 hotels in our 5 week trip but that wasn’t a problem as they are well appointed and spotlessly clean. TV and apps worked better most other places we stayed in. The breakfast was one of the best we experienced in Vietnam and the staff were excellent.
I have to mention the reception ladies who, along with the porters, were outstanding. There must be a great staff training program in this hotel, as they were very professional and nothing seems to be too much for them. Loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Had two back to back stay at this gem of a hotel. Amazing location right next to the lake and a couple of minutes from the cathedral. The heart of the old quarter.

Breakfast is awesome ...a mix of continental buffet and made to order Western and Vietnamese dishes. The Vietnamese ones were delicious.

The rooms are modern,clean, large and very well appointed. Shower is great ,bed is luxurious

But the strenght of Solara is the staff. Cheese , Lily and Susan are awesome. They really value the guests and treat them right. Level of service you expect from a 5star hotel.

Only drawback is the noise. Staff did everything to help. But face it of you're going to stay in a very busy district in a town that loves to honk their horns, you will hear it a bit. Same as any other old town hoteli guess. It's the price to pay for location. Quickly got used to it. Staff did their best and even put mein an inner courtyard room which was quieter

This is little Gem in the heart of Hanoi's bustling old quarter that provides a place of tranquilty from the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff worked tirelessly to make you feel welcome, ensuring your time was memorable.

Room - a little bit dated admittedly, but we slept well and all the amenities were of decent standard. The bed was comfy and we heard no noise from the street. We stayed in room 805 and whoever stays in the room will unfortunately hear the lifts constantly from gussets or visitors going to the rooftop bar.

Spa - me and my wife had a treatment together that was exactly what we needed after 20 hours travelling. Very relaxing and enjoyed the hot stone treatment.

Food - we’re both vegan and the first breakfast we had we found had sufficient options for us, particularly from the ‘western’ style breakfast to order section. Unfortunately on the subsequent days there weren’t as many, and there were three salads all of which contained animals. That being said the food we actually enjoyed was tasty and of good standard, I don’t think anyone following a meat eating lifestyle will struggling here at all.

Bar - the bar had very nice cocktails but the only drawback was slow service. We often found after finishing our drinks we were waiting 10 minutes or going to the bar ourselves

The staff - this is what made this hotel a 5/5 for us. They were kind, attentive, knowledgable and went as far as they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We didn’t stay long enough to get anyone’s names but they were all a pleasure to talk to and work with.

I have travelled USA/ Britain/ Europe and Asia and Australia but is rare to find staff at a hotel so dedicated as Solaria in Hanoi. All staff are thoughtful and helpful but must thank Grace in particular for helping with a bus booking I made to Sapa. The hotel is well positioned to access the Lake and many of the wonderful sights in Hanoi. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. A rooftop bar sets a pleasant atmosphere for evening relaxation or Mae’s restaurant downstairs offers great value for Vietnamese cuisine.

Perfect location for exploring the old quarter and daily walks around the lake, and also slightly quieter area for some much needed rest from the hustle and bustle.

Staff could not have been more hospitable. Keeping us informed and thinking ahead and treating all guests as VIPs. We were allowed to use our VIP access hotels.com allowances which most hotels we have stayed in never recognise this.
We had a great spa treatment - facial with tumeric at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and wish we had gone more as the cocktails were delicious! Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh both Vietnamese and Western options.

Rooms and bed were very comfortable and spacious enough for 3 nights. Shower was great pressure and always got hot water. Only things we thought could be made better was the lighting. Shaving your face or doing your makeup on the bathroom mirror/ vanity mirror was very difficult!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all. 5 stars!!

Everything was very good. But the staff made it exceptional. Hanoi can be intimidating to a first-time visitor. The staff were always offering helpful tips, direct support, and recommendations.

The hospitality here has been exceptional. The (hotel) staff are lovely, very attentive and try to accomodate and help wherever possible.

The best things about Solaria:
- very strategically located for a good majority of attractions around the Old Quater. Everything is walkable and nearby.
- The food options for breakfast and that they allow you to pick freshly prepared hot food.

The rooms are a bit dated and do look a bit old, however, it was still decently comfortable.
The one minor annoyance I had was with the toiletries provided here. They give it in those tiny bottles. Would have been easier for use if they had those larger (pump) containers that can be easily refilled. Not a big deal though. The comfort of the beds, cleaniless etc were still very good.

This was my third stay at Solaria, and once again the level of customer service was exceptional — just as great as my first stay and remarkably consistent over time. The team truly sets this hotel apart.
I would like to sincerely thank Grace, Ryan, Tamila, Lily, Theresa, and Ms. Ling for their attentive, professional, and genuinely caring service throughout our stay. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was handled smoothly and thoughtfully.
A very special thank you to Grace, who went truly above and beyond in assisting us with transportation coordination and even arranging delivery of critical ID cards to Ninh Binh after we had already checked out — more than 24 hours later. This level of follow-through and care is a strong testament to Solaria’s outstanding concierge and customer service culture.
It is rare to find a hotel that maintains such high standards of service across multiple stays. Solaria continues to deliver a consistently excellent experience, and I would confidently recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reliability, professionalism, and genuine hospitality in Hanoi.

Room was nice if a little 'tired' in places.
Staff were absolutely brilliant, helpful in every way.
Breakfast was OK, I was a bit surprised that it finished before 10 on New Year's day.
Location is pretty good.
NYE party was a bit of a disappointment. I couldn't find a waiter to serve the second drink on my ticket. Sorry but there were too many people up there.

Wow! What a wonderful experience staying at the Solaria Hotel, Hanoi! The staff was amazing and the service was exceptional. Grace was lovely, she made us feel so welcomed and well-cared for, ensuring that everything was perfect during our stay in Hanoi. The included breakfast was fabulous, we were full every day until dinner 😄. We loved the Sky Bar as well, great service and excellent view of the evening light show over Hoan Kiem lake. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to restaurants, night market, etc. We highly recommend Solaria Hotel!

Staff were all very warm and helpful. Bed was a bit hard but staff installed mattress topper for us (offered at check-in). Rooftop bar was convenient and nice. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Great location for enjoying Hanoi, especially when local streets close for the weekend.
