Our stay was excellent. We were very well looked after from the moment the taxi picked us up from the airport. The location is excellent and Daria greeted us on our arrival to ensure we had a great stay. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was lovely and the breakfast quality was very good. We enjoyed the rooftop bar in the evening where they have a happy hour. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi. We didn’t want to leave .

Our check in was quick and she was excellent at explaining all the amenities available. She booked us an airport shuttle for the next morning and provided a take away breakfast. Rooms were small but clean. The hotel is older and shows some wear but close to lots of shops and restaurants and the lake. The rooftop bar was fun for a couple of refreshments Good for an overnighter.

Room - a little bit dated admittedly, but we slept well and all the amenities were of decent standard. The bed was comfy and we heard no noise from the street. We stayed in room 805 and whoever stays in the room will unfortunately hear the lifts constantly from gussets or visitors going to the rooftop bar.

Spa - me and my wife had a treatment together that was exactly what we needed after 20 hours travelling. Very relaxing and enjoyed the hot stone treatment.

Food - we’re both vegan and the first breakfast we had we found had sufficient options for us, particularly from the ‘western’ style breakfast to order section. Unfortunately on the subsequent days there weren’t as many, and there were three salads all of which contained animals. That being said the food we actually enjoyed was tasty and of good standard, I don’t think anyone following a meat eating lifestyle will struggling here at all.

Bar - the bar had very nice cocktails but the only drawback was slow service. We often found after finishing our drinks we were waiting 10 minutes or going to the bar ourselves

The staff - this is what made this hotel a 5/5 for us. They were kind, attentive, knowledgable and went as far as they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We didn’t stay long enough to get anyone’s names but they were all a pleasure to talk to and work with.

I have travelled USA/ Britain/ Europe and Asia and Australia but is rare to find staff at a hotel so dedicated as Solaria in Hanoi. All staff are thoughtful and helpful but must thank Grace in particular for helping with a bus booking I made to Sapa. The hotel is well positioned to access the Lake and many of the wonderful sights in Hanoi. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. A rooftop bar sets a pleasant atmosphere for evening relaxation or Mae’s restaurant downstairs offers great value for Vietnamese cuisine.

Perfect location for exploring the old quarter and daily walks around the lake, and also slightly quieter area for some much needed rest from the hustle and bustle.

Staff could not have been more hospitable. Keeping us informed and thinking ahead and treating all guests as VIPs. We were allowed to use our VIP access hotels.com allowances which most hotels we have stayed in never recognise this.
We had a great spa treatment - facial with tumeric at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and wish we had gone more as the cocktails were delicious! Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh both Vietnamese and Western options.

Rooms and bed were very comfortable and spacious enough for 3 nights. Shower was great pressure and always got hot water. Only things we thought could be made better was the lighting. Shaving your face or doing your makeup on the bathroom mirror/ vanity mirror was very difficult!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all. 5 stars!!

The hospitality here has been exceptional. The (hotel) staff are lovely, very attentive and try to accomodate and help wherever possible.

The best things about Solaria:
- very strategically located for a good majority of attractions around the Old Quater. Everything is walkable and nearby.
- The food options for breakfast and that they allow you to pick freshly prepared hot food.

The rooms are a bit dated and do look a bit old, however, it was still decently comfortable.
The one minor annoyance I had was with the toiletries provided here. They give it in those tiny bottles. Would have been easier for use if they had those larger (pump) containers that can be easily refilled. Not a big deal though. The comfort of the beds, cleaniless etc were still very good.

I would like to sincerely thank Grace, Ryan, Tamila, Lily, Theresa, and Ms. Ling for their attentive, professional, and genuinely caring service throughout our stay. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was handled smoothly and thoughtfully.
A very special thank you to Grace, who went truly above and beyond in assisting us with transportation coordination and even arranging delivery of critical ID cards to Ninh Binh after we had already checked out — more than 24 hours later. This level of follow-through and care is a strong testament to Solaria’s outstanding concierge and customer service culture.
It is rare to find a hotel that maintains such high standards of service across multiple stays. Solaria continues to deliver a consistently excellent experience, and I would confidently recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reliability, professionalism, and genuine hospitality in Hanoi.

Wow! What a wonderful experience staying at the Solaria Hotel, Hanoi! The staff was amazing and the service was exceptional. Grace was lovely, she made us feel so welcomed and well-cared for, ensuring that everything was perfect during our stay in Hanoi. The included breakfast was fabulous, we were full every day until dinner 😄. We loved the Sky Bar as well, great service and excellent view of the evening light show over Hoan Kiem lake. Solaria is a hotel you stay in to wrap your travels up with class. The hotel clerks, Daria and Tamika, were absolutely superb in their support for arranging transportation to the airport. They also helped us schedule a massage in their spa that was professional and healthy.

The skybar is the best rooftop bar in Hanoi, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The restaurant is excellent with a variety of regionally representative choices from all over Vietnam.

Clean rooms - we got an upgrade! Fast service whenever we had a request. The staff is unparalleled! Originally, we had only booked 1 night so save on costs during our visit to Hà Nội. However, we switched over immediately due to a horrendous experience at another hotel. The staff graciously accommodated our last minute change to extend our stay to 4 nights, including finding 4 nights in a great room for our 2 kids at the sister hotel, Solaria Tesori. Check in was a breeze. Staff, like Grace at the front desk when above and beyond our expectations. She was caring, welcoming, helpful and even found and booked an amazing jazz show for us on short notice. She took the time to check in on us when we were not at breakfast the next morning along with sending coffee and pastries to our room since we missed breakfast!
We will definitely stay at Solaria again next time we are back. Thank you to all staff and team.

Best service I’ve ever received at a hotel! Tamila at reception did an exceptional job introducing us to the city itself, the culture, the restaurants and facilities at the hotel. They welcomed us with a small snack and drink. We got a room upgrade, so it was very spacious. Staff went out of the way to help us, be it bringing our laundry delivered by an outside company, assisting us with luggages and making sure we were satisfied with the meals and room. Taste of breakfast is exceptional! Made to order Bun Cha is a must try. Mia Restaurant is equally stellar and we ended up eating there twice. Tasted like a Michelin starred restaurant and the wait staff even deshellwd seafood items for us. When we checked out for Halong Bay cruise, the reception staff packed us a small snack since the ride to the cruise ship terminal would be long. Overall, this is the best hotel I’ve visited!

The service here is incredible - Grace and Lily were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. They always greeted us by name, helped us plan our stay in Hanoi, prepared us a box of fruit before our long trip to Ha Long Bay, organising travel to/from the airport, and going out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday. Easily the best service I’ve received at any hotel.

The rooms are clean and presentable, though perhaps a bit small. That said, the location is perfect - most sights are within a 30 minute walk.

The breakfast is nice, and has various western and Vietnamese options available. The rooftop bar has a great view and is much calmer than the rowdy rooftop bars on the main touristy roads. The restaurant downstairs, Mia, has nice food options from across Vietnam (our favourites were the catfish and the black sesame soup for dessert). Our server Luna made excellent recommendations.

Would very happily stay here again on our next trip to Hanoi

Our stay at Solaria was excellent! I want to highlight specifically the very high level of service. From our initial check-in, we felt very welcome and were given great advice and useful intention to start our trip to Hanoi and Vietnam. Each colleague we interacted with, and especially the front desk, were extremely helpful and kind. They helped us with getting an early check-in, booking a massage, and as well, preparing a food bag for our long train trip. They remembered details about us (e.g. that one of us was vegetarian), which was really impressive.

The room was perfect for us, clean and spacious, and offered a nice place to relax and sleep.

Breakfast was also a highlight. It’s a mix of ‘à la carte’ and a buffet. Everything we tried was delicious and it’s a shame we were only there one night.

The location of the hotel is also great as it’s central and close to many things (Old Quarter).

We would definitely look to stay again if the hotel is available when visiting Hanoi again. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Our stay at Solaria Hotel exceeded expectations and we are sad that we didn't book a longer stay.

The location is excellent, next to Hoan Kiem lake but on a quiet street. Easy walk to the Old Quarter, St Joseph Cathedral and train street.

Check in was exceptional and Grace took the time to personally welcome us, explain the hotel and the surrounding area and ask if there was anything we would like to do or see before we left Hanoi. She went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made a reservation for us at MIAs restaurant (highly recommend) and surprised us by organising a birthday dessert for me. Truly a special person and a credit to the hotel.

The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are very grand. We slept very well and then enjoyed an exceptional breakfast buffet. You may order from a menu with eggs/cooked breakfasts made to order and enjoy the large selection from the buffet, including a coffee machine and the excellent Vietnamese coffee.

Upon checking out the hotel organised a very nice car to transfer us to the airport and presented us with a gift. We were very touched and couldn't believe that we had received this level of service. We didn't get to say goodbye to Grace but we have left Hanoi with very special memories and feel that her customer service has played a big part. If we are ever back in Hanoi we would only look to stay at Solaria Hotel. Thank you Grace and all of the team.

I was so happy with my stay at Solaria Hotel. Room was very comfortable with great air conditioning and plenty of amenities and free bottled water daily. Bed was very large and extremely comfortable with perfect pillows. Breakfast provided a large western menu option and Vietnamese cuisine also. We dined at Mia’s, the onsite restaurant 3 times and enjoyed delicious Vietnamese dishes and excellent service.
The staff in reception were friendly and professional and assisted us with day trips, SIM card installation and airport pickup at very affordable prices. We were allowed to extend our check out time on our last day until 4pm for $40 aud.- 5 star service thank you Solaria team.

Our stay at Solaria Hotel was amazing — easily the best in Hanoi! The room was spacious and beautiful, which is rare in the Old Quarter. The location was perfect, close to shops, cafes, restaurants, and main sights.

Breakfast was delicious, and we loved relaxing with cocktails at the rooftop bar after exploring.

A huge thanks to Liam, who organised our Ha Long Bay trip, airport transfers, and even a complimentary foot spa. He made everything stress-free, especially travelling with kids.

We also received a lovely thank-you gift of Vietnamese coffee when we left — such a thoughtful touch.
