The staff were lovely and the hotel very clean and rooms in good condition.
We had an issue with the facilities at the hotel. It does not have either an onsite bar or a pool bar and the restaurant only services breakfast. Not at all what was advertised on the hotels.com website. However, the hotel management reacted to our complaint quickly with professionalism and understanding. We were very happy with their solution. How they handled the situation impressed us.

I recently stayed at the SQ Hang Gai Hotel & Spa, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch.

The Room: My room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, providing a quiet and comfortable sanctuary away from the bustling streets of Hanoi.

The Staff: The entire team was incredibly courteous and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed.

Special Mention: A huge thank you to Hana! She truly made my stay special with her exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.

Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot—right in the center of the Old Quarter, within easy walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake and the best local food.

I will certainly be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. I can't wait to come back!

We booked the (family) triple room , only problem is the shower where the bathtubi is,no ahower curtains, so its quite wet after u finished using the shower, but otherwise the toom is roomy enough for the 3 of us, not too noisy , though its not really soundproofed, The staff are helpful, friendly, polite. The area is safe.

It's right in the old quarter so it's old school. It was pretty good, the staff were good and friendly. We chose the penthouse which is on level 11. The lift only goes to 9 then you walk up 2 flights of stairs. It was 37 degrees in the room when we got there. The balcony was excellent once the sun went down.

The hotel is brilliantly positioned in the old quarter of Hanoi. The beds and pillows are top quality and comfortable. The room (family, 3 bed) was spacious with plenty of storage space. The 'city view' consisted of the side of a building which was a bit disappointing but since we didn't spend very much time in the room this was fine.
We prefer to eat a late breakfast and by the time we ate breakfast at around 8:45/9:00am, the cooked elements were only lukewarm, however, eggs are made to order and there's a varied selection of cold dishes too.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff at reception, restaurant and housekeeping were all very helpful and friendly. I was happily surprised to be able to check in a couple hours early. The room was huge, very comfy king bed and I highly recommend the balcony room. The breakfast selection is a smaller buffet but has all the hits and delicious croissants. The pool is small but a nice reprieve from walking around during the day!

Nice hotel but the staff need to work

The hotel rooms are new and modern with great AC and very comfortable beds. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Hanoi. There were a few things we really didn’t like, the staff and cleaners seemed to congregate outside our room at 6:30/7am and shout and talk extremely loudly. Even after I’d spoken to reception about this issue it still happened, I went out to them and asked if they could keep it down but they still persisted. Very unprofessional and rude to customers. The general sound proofing of the room was awful we could hear every shut door and bathroom sink.

We would stay here again but the staff need to learn to be more professional.

A very comfortable hotel in a great location, moments from the Water Puppets Theatre. Right in the heart of the city, easy access to the Night Market and Train Market. The only slight niggle was our City View room looked over an alleyway to an adjacent building (see photo)

So so only. Although clealiness is very good, how the toilet bow was bad, keep having problem flushing out.
Also there is no \"Do not disturb\" sign at the door, every morning the cleaner will press door bell to wake you up, then they will try open the door when you are slow to response !

Das Hotel machte insgesamt ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Eindruck. Es war soweit für 2 Nächte bei der Lage in Hanoi in Ordnung. Alles in allem durchschnittlich gut.
Wirklich unangenehm war ein etwas unfreundlicher Mitarbeiter am Empfang, den wir darum warten, dass das Housekeeping die Badewanne bitte noch einmal sauber machen möge. Denn diese war beim Einzug in das Zimmer nicht in Ordnung. Wir haben höflich nachgefragt, was, aus unserer Sicht, angemessen war. Das hat ihn sichtlich gestört. Ebenfalls störend war, wie hier schon viele geschrieben haben, der fehlende Duschvorhang, was höchstwahrscheinlich auch die Ursache für den Schimmel in machen Ecken im Bad ist…

Alle anderen mitarbeitenden waren super freundlich.

Das Hotel ist aus unserer Sicht okay. Im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis zu anderen Hotels in gleicher Lage, ist der Preis jedoch für die Qualität nicht gerechtfertigt.
