This property is a hidden gem along the main artery street of Pho Nha Chung. It is very convenient location where you are accessible to major venues with just a few walk steps away. I was very fortunate to have found The Chi. Boutique Hotel on Google map while searching for hotels.

Everything was wonderful at The Chi Boutique Hotel. My father and I really enjoyed our stay. The business owner did an excellent job with the attention to details on the decors. It was very chic with decorative French style setting. We loved it!

The staff was excellent and very professional. A special shout out goes to Ms Linh for going the extra mile with our needs.

If you are looking for a place to stay while in Hanoi, I definitely recommend this establishment. The fact that they offer transportation service from HAN Airport to the hotel was an extra bonus. It does not get any easier than this! Lastly, their breakfast buffet is very good! If you want American breakfast, they have a breakfast bar where the chef will cook you eggs to your liking.

So go ahead and book your hotel reservations with The Chi Boutique Hotel! It is my 5 star recommendation!

A wonderful stay at The Chi

A wonderful three nights stay at the Chi Boutique. Everything about our stay was wonderful from check in (lovely cup of tea!) to check out, the staff were friendly and helpful every step of the way. The rooftop bar has great views over the city and the location is unbeatable for the Old Quarter. My room was clean and bed super comfortable. Breakfast had a whole host of food options. Would stay again!

The hotel was under some sort of construction so from 8a to about 5p all u hear is annoying banging and drilling. Usually I wouldn’t care since we would be out exploring, but when u have a sick family member there’s no way around it. We were on the 3rd floor w a view of a brick wall. The hotel is in an amazing location close to everything on a v busy street w good security. Breakfast buffet could be better and staff at the front desk were maybe trainees or new. Towels also smell like smoke but apparently they outsource this housekeeping job. Pretty much a disappointment.

We stayed in the suite and it was a great room - spacious, comfortable and a huge bathroom! The service was good whenever we needed anything but the layout of the hotel where we can bypass the lobby and go straight our floor meant that the staff felt somewhat distant.

There is construction work across the road but that is not the hotel's fault - There is construction everywhere in Hanoi. There was also construction inside the hotel as they are building their spa. We were warned about this upon check in and it didn't really affect us that much as we were out most of the day.

Great location with it being right next to the attraction St Joseph's Cathedral. but this also meant very early bell ringings from the Cathedral. Again, not the fault of the hotel but something to be mindful of.

We would recommend this hotel - it is 4 star, the staff are attentive, professional, obliging and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay as comfortable and trouble free as possible. The roof top bar is woth a visit at happy hour and the staff are relaxed and easy to talk to as well as providing information about what to see and where to go in Hanoi. Manager Lily was very helpful with help and information.
The room, although on the small side, was very well appointed and the bed, linen and pillows were extremely comfortable. It was a great place to stay during our trip to Hanoi

Overall a great place to stay for the price. Good location, comfortable room, friendly staff. My only quip is that the air conditioning in the room was a bit anemic. It worked, but it never got as cool as we'd have liked. In fairness though, it was over 100 Fahrenheit during our stay, so it was hot everywhere!

The Chi is a hidden gem in the Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi. Just around the corner from the city's Catholic cathedral, you would not know it was there given its surroundings. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large and clean, and its location is excellent for those who like to explore the city on foot. There is a small rooftop bar, but you don't see much from it, and it wasn't a kicking place when I visited. Instead, I frequented a taproom not far from the hotel (Pasteur Street). The next time I'm in Hanoi, I'm staying at The Chi!

Comfortable room in a fantastic central location

This is small hotel centrally located in the old quarter. We upgraded to a balcony room which was well worth while - it was a beautiful looking and spacious room with timber floors. It’s in a very busy, noisy street, so you can see the and hear city life all around you from your private treetop space! Lots of great food choices and a small grocery nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, though might be a fraction short for very tall folks.

I love staying in this neighbourhood! The only drawback is the hotel isn't the quietest (although they do thoughtfully leave ear plugs beside the bed) due to construction happening across the street, some street noise, and not so soundproof doors, but they offered airport drop-off at half price to make up for the inconvenience. That being said, the service was lovely, the room was comfortable and you can't beat the neighbourhood. This was my second stay st this hotel and I'm sure I'll be back.

Excellent location. Simply amazing experience

This is a gem in the middle of the Old Quarter. You can walk everywhere from there. The concierge service will give you very discerning options and put you in the right track to avoid a bad experience. The rooms are as good as they look in the photos and I recommend also their downstairs restaurant as well as their rooftop bar. Some of the best in Hanoi for a reasonable price.
Absolutely amazing experience for those who like a clean and nice environment.

My fiance and I had a wonderful stay at the Chi Hotel a few weeks ago. They were so helpful in booking a trip for us to Halong Bay and were happy that we booked through them that they comped our breakfast for the three nights we stayed there. We were also celebrating our anniversary so they upgraded us to their nicest suite. The hotel is centrally located in the Old Quarter and close to the French Quarter. It is perfect for a couple who is visiting Hanoi for a few days and wants to stay close to all of the sites. I cannot recommend the hotel more!

The hotel is in the heart of the old quarter, so easy access by foot to all of the markets, shopping, restaurants and bars. It is only a few steps away from a stunning french style cathedral, and a few hundred metres from the lake. The roof top bar is the perfect place to cool off with a cocktail, beer or mocktail. The staff are lovely. Order a room at the back of the hotel as there is a new hotel being built on the opposite side of the road and the building codes in vietnam don't exist as they were making noise all night. We were in the very front room as of July 2018. But don't let this put you off.

Nice roof top bar and 20% discount voucher made it value for money
Flexible service as they allowed us to order dim sum from the main restaurant up at the roof top bar

Cons:
Our room did not have a window which was not clear to us at the time of booking
TV did not work - not a major issue as we were out most of the time
Interior corridor sound proofing is not so great

Overall a very enjoyable stay, we would certainly stay again on future trip to Hanoi and would recommend to others. Great boutique hotel!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in Apr 2018 for 4 nights. We stayed in the Standard Room 103, which was actually on two floors above the street level. It was not on ground floor. We found our room extremely quiet (no street noise), clean, and comfortable. Staff were very polite and friendly, and able to communicate with us in English. Staff reviewed the local map with us, and made very good recommendations on restaurants, based on our food preference and budget.

In addition, we were provided with free laundry service (up to 8 items) during our stay. We had an enjoyable stay, and had no negative comments.

It's the staff that makes this hotel special

Arriving before Lunar New Year, we were welcomed by Jack and Ming Su (I'm sorry I forgot your Vietnamese names! ) They both immediately began to get us dinner reservations at various spots. Throughout our 4-day stay, they both always greeted us with courtesy, professionalism and friendliness. They were aware of our itinerary and our restaurant bookings, and made various suggestions for our visit.

The location of the hotel is right in the old town, near the St. Joseph Cathedral, with lots of restaurants, eateries and cafes around.

Our room was a the 'suite room' and it was exactly as depicted on the website. Spacious, clean and well-equipped, we found it restful and well designed for the traveler.

There is a rooftop bar which provided a good respite from the busyness of the streets. The bartender there is always helpful and cheerful too!

But most of all it was Jack and Ming Su that made the Chi Hotel just a notch above a great hotel. The sense of being welcomed and taken care made our stay wonderful.

Great Location & Decor

Great service at reception by staff who speak good English. They even surprised check-in guests with a little bag of gingerbread men as it was Christmas Eve. They were also quick to warn of possible construction noise due to renovation works next door. Unfortunately this was the only hotel I did not manage to check in early during my 2 week trip in Vietnam.

Location wise, this is very central to places to go. It is near to the landmark cathedral and also close to streets where you can find food and cafes.

Breakfast quality was more than satisfactory as it was run by a dim sum restaurant kitchen though the spread was limited.

Main dissatisfaction is that rooms do not come with windows and feels a little claustrophobic. Otherwise it is fairly comfortable. I have a tendency to take photos of the hotel rooms I stay but this one is quite small so no urge to take any.

Close to Hoan Kiem Lake and heart of Hanoi/Old Quarter, but near enough to walk to other main areas of interest. While street traffic is condensed in the Old Quarter, The Chi has enough areas for \"refuge\" from the bustle just outside the door. The staff is wonderful, and the hotel facility very new and elegant for its small footprint. It's exactly where I would want a hotel to be, to experience \"being\" in Hanoi.

Being close enough to Hoan Kiem Lake to observe early morning activities (Tai Chi, badminton, families walking around the lake) was important, and that the streets around the lake are closed to vehicles on Friday evenings 7pm to midnight was a bonus - providing grea access to the Friday/Saturday night market.

Great location. Friendly staff, very comfortable bed. Only issue is there was no window in the room. But the Lo's caution is really good, and the price is great.

Didn't regret the stay at all :)

Room was cozy, clean and really comfortable, with a nice balcony access to a nice view of the city. The staffs are pretty eloquent in English and are very helpful. But breakfast was not amazing with very little varieties.

This hotel was only OK. The room was incredibly small, even compared to a hotel in Paris or New York. I cannot imagine staying there for more than one night.

The room was also very noisy. You can hear even the slightest noise from the hallway, including other guests coming back at all hours. If you are light sleeper, not great.

The hotel arranged transportation from the airport had some issues.

We were also told we could charge dinner to the room at the restaurant downstairs, which was not the case. The restaurant below was good and the common features of the hotel itself are very nice. The location is great.

Given all the hotel choices in Hanoi, it's unlikely I would stay here again, but if I did, would definitely ask for a larger room.

Nice hotel but.

I didn't know the room didn't have windows. I didn't remember reading anything about that when I booked the hotel. I was not happy at all!

Couldn't find the hair dryer! Funny! While I was leaving I asked if they had a dryer somewhere! They told me it was in the drawer by the bed! Wow! Hair dryer and bed?!?! Interesting location !

Hotel close to Westlake

The hotel seems really cosy when I first enter and it's quite pretty. I waited quite awhile before someone from the reception bring me up to the reception which is located in the second floor. After checking in , to my displeasure was that I was not introduced to the local attractions neither recommend any places I could go for food and drinks. All I have is a map with some tourists hotspots on it and I guess I will have to look for the places to fill my stomach.

Room is undeniably acceptable , we have everything we need except for the maintenance issue. I had a clogged toilet the second night and I informed reception at 7 pm , was told they would check it . To my dismay, I came back around 5 hours later and the toilet is in the same state.

Super Convenient & Nice Hotel

The Chi Boutique Hotel provides you a fantastic location, just less than one min walk to St Joseph's Cathedral. There are many small cafe. Staff are very nice and helpful. Washroom is big. I will definitely to stay this hotel again in my next travel to Hanoi.

Great hotel in the middle of everything!

Gosh....I don't normally rave about hotels, but this one was great. And I was in a room without a window - and I didn't mind at all! Before deciding that isn't for you....check out their decor. It's fabulous.

Great stay in The Chi! :D

Overall, a very satisfying experience at The Chi. Although the hotel is at soft launch phase, most of their facilities and room standard meets expectations.

A gem in the old quarters. Always feels good to return to a clean, quiet room (ours did not face the street) after all the hustle and exploration of the old quarters.
